I've read books with Fae in them throughout the years here & there, but I'm not sure why I didn't keep up with them since I find them so sexy. Wicked Prince is the second book in the Dark Falls Academy so you have to read Forbidden Magic (Book 1) first! I'm not going to get into a lot of detail since it could give possible spoilers for the first book, plus, there are quite a few twists along the way so there's that. I will say that even a year later, Jules (our heroine) feels a very strong pull to Cole (our sexy fae prince) but things are still really complicated & confusing since she knows she can't trust him. I'm really enjoying this series quite a bit, and I'm super glad the next book isn't going to take as long to be released because I read so many books that a lot of times I have to read the first book again. Anyway, don't sleep on Wicked Prince as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was worried that it had been too long since I read the first book in the Dark Falls Academy, in an ideal world I would have re-read Forbidden Magic but I just didn't have the time right now. It didn't really matter, despite it being over two and a half years since I read book one, it didn't take me long to pick up the plot and remember everything that had been going on and the world that this all happens in.
Book two takes place a year after the first one. Our heroine, Jules, still finds herself drawn to fae prince Cole. Even though he seems to be completely wrong for her and she certainly can't trust him, there's something about Cole that just draws her to him.
I really enjoyed this second instalment in this series. Even better than that, we don't have to wait for too long before the third book is due to be released, which is excellent news. I can't wait to return to the Dark Falls Academy in the not-too-distant future.

This 2nd book keeps you guessing the whole way thru... It's short but has twist and turns that you are sure you have figured out but wait here comes another. There are so many characters in this book series that you are not sure who's good and who's bad. I can say this the one I guessed was no good I was right.
You have immortals (supernatural's) & Mortals (witch's, Warlocks, Seers etc...) & Humans the Mortals have lived amongst the Humans but the immortals they are their own section. Which is why at this Dark Falls Academy the Immortals do not want the mortals there... They have bullied each one and has hurt many until you reach Jules who is a Half-Blooded Demon Element witch of fire. No one knows and her dad lied to get her in. You have Cole a Fae who has had just about every girl at that school, but he has fallen for Jules. This enemy/ lovers' story is picking up quick and now what I just thought would be a one or two books read is going on a third. I have to know.... Cole and Jules's sister were accused of a crime and Ugg they were under a strong spell, it's up to Julia (Jules) to find out how to catch a criminal right in her own school. It's getting juicy. I feel the writing has improved, but I still stand that there is just too many Harry Potter references in these books. I want authors to get ideas from what they read or other authors, but don't copy the authors work even though you change the story a little. You can still tell. Have confidence in yourself to write your own and make it your own. The storyline in this is good. Let's see how it ends... Recommend to 17yrs and up. Does have swearing, Violence, Sex, Killing, Bullying, and lots of High School Drama. Gina Clabo

The mystery and secrets make you want to keep reading it. The light and fast-paced writing style turns this series into an easy page turner.

The romance is cute in a sort of teen bad boy vibe. The focus on "wanting her virginity" was slightly, low key gross, but it didn’t put me off in a way I wanted to stop reading it. It reminded me of my younger years and how everything seemed so important and intense.

This was a little *too* fast-paced for me, especially in the spicy and kisses scenes, I wish we could have had more details so I could really feel their romance. I would consider this kind of steam completely safe for a teenager to read. It was very Young Adult.

But it's still perfect to turn off your brain and just enjoy the ride - which is exactly what I need in the moment.

I love the continuation of the series.
Jules is still drawn to Cole. The back and forth between the two is interesting.
Hurt feelings , misunderstandings and the mystery of who killed the professor will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I love Jules. She faces her problems/situations head on. Loyal to her friends. There are several mysteries going on in the story.
Cole, what can I say about him. A prince who doesn't like to get his feelings hurt.
Love the mysteries and intrigue.
Well written, world building was very good. Story line was excellent.
This is an excellent series. And best of all the next book is coming soon.
I was given this book as an ARC with no obligation to my honest review

First off, I am extremely happy I read the first bookwhen I found out there was a book two in the making I was so relieved because the first book had me hooked. Wicked Prince takes place a year later in Dark Falls—the most prestigious school in the three realms—is in session. Brooding vampires, snarky mermaids, and vicious Fae. Jules is attracted to Cole a dark fae prince. And her attraction has only gotten stronger. I really enjoyed reading this and excited to read the third book. Fall under the dark prince's spell and read about Jules a Winslow witch in this action filled enemies to lovers book.

FireGirl!

I know this is silly but I get so emotionally invested in this series. When the prince is misunderstood, I personally felt betrayed. Anya has a way of writing that just wraps you up in her stories.

Jules is a witch/demon girl who is attending a magic college. She's spends this semester learning more of her demon side. But the mysteries of last term are still heavily unanswered, and some misunderstood. In a school full of immortals and magic folk can you really trust anyone?

DNF 68% You’re Not Supposed to Hate the MFC

The melodrama of the MFC and self centered nature of her made her absolutely unlikeable. Her assumptions. Her judgments. The stories she makes up in her head without any evidence at all. She has the emotional range of a teaspoon and acts like she is 5. Allie’s big monologue was so spot on - but don’t get me started on Allie as a complete throwaway character.

There is so much more to be fleshed out in terms of character development here. The real villain is the MFC.

Thank you to Anya J Cosgrove for allowing me to listen to a copy of this book. I just gotta say oh. my. god. This book was amazing. The plot ramped up in this book, and it's getting so good. Cole and Onyx really had me interested. The magic system was also very fascinating and it really drew me into the story even more. Anya J Cosgrove just has a way of writing that just brings everything to life. I cannot wait to continue this series.

This book sees Julia’s life get even more chaotic and intriguing, her attraction to Cole is as strong as ever and all around her secrets are hiding the real truths of those she cares about the most, can Jules figure out the mysteries before they destroy her or is she just a pawn in a larger game??.

just gets better

Loved the way the storyline just gets thicker and isn’t padded out with pages of steaminess. Not that I don’t miss it...I kinda do but the steaminess between The Fae Prince and his Fire Girl is best kept lidded else all hell will break loose! Great 5 star read. Highly recommend. Add to your TBR

WARNING

After reading most of book 3. I changed my mind quickly about the whole entire series. It was mediocre at best but plummeted after it went all RH smutty with a lot of MM action. No thanks. Will not read book 4 and have changed all my ratings from 3 to 1. There were no warnings from the author, so this reaction was to be expected. I felt like I was tricked into believing this would be a decent series, but you can never hide the smell of trash. Thanks for wasting my time.

The characters have a strong attraction to each other. There's a mystery that needs to be solved. Secrets are told and hidden. It was engaging and page turning. Jules was very loyal and a great FMC. Cole is very interesting to say the least.

Plot twist!

This could get confusing fast! Almost everything we thought we knew about each of the characters has been changing as we go along. It seems that only a few are actually who they've portrayed themselves to be

Anya said the spice increases with each book and she was not wrong.

Such a fun and easy going series to read.

I think I like this one even more than the first. Different love interests and relationship drama is my fave. ❤️

Eh

Good twists and turns. Sad about the death. But the story isn’t gripping me like I hoped it would. Hopefully the next book grabs me.

Well that ending took a big ass turn. I do not trust her sister period. That said, who knows where this is going! I hope they can get Cole’s name cleared!

*Audiobook Review*

This was a quick listen and I really enjoyed Addison Barnes' narration; I was completely sucked in by her performance on Cole and Jules as well as the other characters in the story.

Cole and Jules are attracted to each other like magnets but are still highly suspicious of their connection. Jules, Cole and Flynn in particular stood out however I had been hoping for a bit more development surrounding Allie. Likewise with Trent and Melanie who seem to be completely different characters to who we met in book one. There is definitely a lot of mistrust in this book and I am enjoying figuring out what everyone's motivations are and who the real villain is. I have book three ready to go as I need to find out what happens next!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
