The Simon Hall Political Thriller Series introduces Simon Hall, a man described as a cross between Brad Pitt’s character in 'Meet Joe Black’ and Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in 'Catch Me if you Can'.
As the leader of the enigmatic group of scholars known as La Fratellanza (The Brotherhood) Simon brings an intellectual game into real life by involving the election of a president, the banking crisis, and international terrorism in the first book, Brotherhood Beyond the Yard (published in 2011) Throughout the tetralogy, the hunt for Simon never ceases as he continues to unleash diabolical plots in the US and abroad. The reader and the characters are led first, to admire him, and then slowly grow to fear him. This international thriller takes the readers from the streets of Florence, Italy to the highest seats of power in Washington D.C.

This rollercoaster of a cliffhanger dials up the intrigue, leaving questions hanging. Redemption, the final book in this explosive series holds the answers. Simon’s apparent death is front-page news, as well as the U.S. economic crisis. The newly-elected US president has no choice but to enlist Noble to bring back the discredited La Fratellanza to help solve the crisis that threatens the country’s survival. If you relish suspense thrillers with a tinge of conspiracy, you will enjoy Sally Fernandez’ novels. Readers have said she pens riveting plots of intrigue and political awakening, seamlessly blending fact with fiction…or fiction with fact…you be the judge.

As a novelist of provocative political thrillers steeped in facts, she wasn’t always twisting facts with fiction. Heavily endowed with skills acquired in banking, she embarked on her writing career. Fernandez’ focus on computer technology, business consulting, and project management, enhanced by business and technical writing, proved to be a boon. Her books of fiction also reflect the knowledge garnered from her business experiences, while living in New York City, San Francisco, and Hong Kong.

Sally’s foray into writing fiction officially began in 2007 when the presidential election cycle was in full swing. The overwhelming political spin by the media compelled her to question the frightening possibilities the political scene could generate. As a confirmed political junkie, she took to the keyboard armed with unwinding events and discovered a new and exciting career.

The Beekeeper’s Secret, the latest release with multiple five-star reviews, is Sally’s sixth novel and the second in the “Max Ford Thriller” series. It is preceded by the Award-Winning Climatized, soon to be a major motion picture, featuring Maxine Ford as the female protagonist. Her prior series, “The Simon Tetralogy,” is comprised of Brotherhood Beyond the Yard, Noble’s Quest, The Ultimate Revenge and Redemption. Each book provides an exhilarating platform for the next, with a gripping narrative that challenges the reader to put the book down. Her development of the other characters has created a lasting bond between them and the reader, especially now that Max has taken center stage.

A world traveler, Sally has visited every continent and over fifty countries. Her adventure travels with her husband include a scientific expedition in Antarctica, four African safaris, archaeological digs in Majorca and Peru, along with high-altitude treks in Bhutan, Tibet, and Mongolia. Sally and her husband, also the content editor-in-residence, continue to travel extensively throughout the world.

Interesting political thriller

This is the full boxset of books 1 through 4 of the Simon Hall series. Simon is a leader of the brotherhood, a "behind the scenes " organization that has political and economic interests and ties almost everywhere. Utilizing those connections to pursue their goals is the main game in this book from elections, presidential politics, economical issues and terroristic threats, all situations are on the table to be tweaked by Simon and his group.
I think this was an interesting take on the political thriller genre. Certainly I havent seen books laid out in this specific way before. This unique approach made it easy to fall into the story and made you believe you were right there with them, giving speeches, running figures and dodging bullets. I would give this author more of my time to see what other books she has out. I'l liked her character building approach very much.

Gripping, Smart, and Seriously Underrated

This series blew me away. Simon Hall is one of the most compelling anti-heroes I’ve ever read, equal parts charm and chaos. Sally Fernandez masterfully blends real-world politics with fiction, and the result is a thriller that feels shockingly real. Every book raises the stakes, and by the end, I was breathless.

If you're into political thrillers with brains, twists, and international flair, read this. It deserves way more attention.
