She's the only Glover without a significant other. He's been searching for someone who can love him and his daughter. Can Etta and August make a meaningful connection this Christmas?
Etta's resigned herself to being the designated babysitter for the growing family and wearing the label of "bestest aunt" with pride. She loves all of her nieces and nephews, her siblings and cousins, and the family ranch where she works. She once had big dreams for herself, but they all ended when she couldn't walk down the aisle and left her fiancé standing at the altar.
As if her embarrassment and regret weren't enough, Etta now watches everyone in her family journey on their way toward happily-ever-after while she's still...stuck.
August Winters has spent the past five years focused on his daughter and recovering from the tragic loss of his wife. He thought he'd given his heart to her, but as every day passes, he's more and more ready to find another soulmate and a new mother for Hailey.
When he meets Etta through a school field trip his daughter takes to Shiloh Ridge Ranch, August's heart beats the same way it did with his first wife. He's charmed by her ability with children, and he thinks she's the most beautiful woman he's met in a long time. As Etta and August start a relationship, they both have past baggage to unpack.
Can Etta find the peace with herself she needs in order to achieve the hope of her heart? Will August be patient enough to get his Christmas miracle – a new soulmate and a wonderful mother for Hailey?

Etta and August have each had long and difficult journeys leading to the point where they meet. Even together, their journey isn’t exactly smooth sailing. But, proving the old adage that the things you work the hardest for are the most valuable to you, this pair shows us that everything is possible with enough courage, dedication, and hard work. I adored seeing how all the extended Glover clan has grown and changed over the course of this series. And fair warning: keep the tissues handy for this one folks because it turns into a bit of a bumpy ride. The last quarter of the story kept me in tears for just about every word; almost all happy tears, though. I can’t wait for our next chance to come back to Three Rivers. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
The Hope of Her Heart is unfortunately the last in the Shiloh Ridge Ranch series. This book tells the story of Etta, the only Glover that is still unmarried. It was a shame as sweet as Etta was and caring with a heart of gold and someone that always was cooking for the family or babysitting. She loved children and always dreamed of having some of her own. So when the school comes out for Etta and Ida to do a tour of the ranch Etta sees a parent that was very handsome and his daughter fell down and she got a bag of bandages out and put a bandage with ponies on her leg and the little girl was happy. The parent was named August and she finds out they actually just moved here and was starting a job in construction. He hangs back with Etta and talks the entire tour. When the bus was loading to leave he gets Etta to give him her phone number.
Etta and August hit it off but don't want to let his daughter know just yet. Etta understood. When she sees them moving into one of the cowboy cabins Etta is surprised. Now they could see each other more. When Hailey tells her Daddy he needs to take Etta out on a date that was the turning point they thought in the relationship. August had a problem he could not figure out and he almost let it cost him his chance with Etta. But taking her to meet his family did the trick instead. Would Etta ever get her chance at a happily ever after?
I have not read a book or a series by Liz Isaacson that I have not enjoyed. This book was no exception. Every time I had a few minutes to spare I was reading it which I can say about every book in this series. This is s the final book of the Glover family series. Liz Isaacson is a wonderful storyteller. She writes about life, happy times and sad times. Her descriptions of people and places are written so well one can easily visualize them as one reads. The Glover family is a large family whose fathers were two brothers who owned a huge ranch together. The fathers had been great influences on their children who now run the ranch. Each book of this series covers one or two family members though all members are mentioned somewhere in each book which keeps the family members before the reader. She ends this series by bringing the reader up to date on each of the children of the two brothers. They are all grown when the series starts so the books follow their adult lives through weddings, children, etc. She writes books that are good stories with no foul language and clean romances. Her characters are Christians as one can tell from the books. Her books are well edited which is important to me. I would recommend her books for any age adult. I'm an older adult and I look forward to reading every book she writes. I've read most of them!
I’m going into withdrawal as this series is finished, but what a way to finish this family saga at Shiloh Ridge Ranch. Three Rivers has become a second home and you feel like you could be best friends with this family. Yes they are a family and are very rich, but they have health issues, relationship issues, insecurities and the normal warts and problems any big family has. And the reader is right in the middle of it devouring every page as fast as you can. You really want to be included on the group text for the ranch wives and have a tribe like this to support and stand besides you, even when it gets annoying as they are in your business. Etta is the last Glover unmarried, but oh how she has tried, going on dozens of blind dates and even making it almost to the alter. She is the favorite aunt and everyone’s go to when they need help, planning fabulous parties, soothing teenage angst and walking with Preacher as he rehabs from his horrific car accident. August has to make a fresh start with his daughter after losing his wife to a farm accident. He is sure he can’t love another woman like he loved her, or that a woman can love him AND his daughter wholly as a wife and mom should. He’s just a hired Cowboy and she’s a billionaire heiress. Can they both get over themselves and their insecurities? The proposal scene was awesome- just saying
I kept waiting, and waiting for Liz Isaacson to write Etta Glover's Romance Story. It's Finally Here! "The Hope of Her Heart", is the last Novel in LI's "Shiloh Ridge Ranch" Western, Christian Romance Series. The stories are best understood, if read in chronological order.
August and Etta are instantly attracted, when they first meet. Their relationship takes off after August gets a job at Shiloh Ridge Ranch. August has a misconception about a possible Step-Mother for his daughter, Hailey. How does God help August overcome his fears; and step into the new Lifetime 💗, He has for August and Hailey?
Etta has a heart full of ❤️ for kids. That's why she's the Favorite Aunt to all the Glover Children. Etta quickly falls in ❤️ with Hailey, and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her. She keeps having to surrender the timeline of her relationship with August, to God. 📖 this Book to see how Etta gets her HEA!
I Highly Recommend this Outstanding, Engrossing, Novel; and the Whole Series! I ❤️ the Story''s/Series Great (warts and all) Characters. Even though the Glovers are each Billionaires, I ❤️ that they still have relationship problems, and need God's help to overcome them successfully! ❤️📖 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Farewell to the Glover’s! This is the final book in the Shiloh Ridge Ranch in Three Rivers Series and it does not disappoint! Etta finally has every hope of her heart fulfilled. When Etta first meets August, a widower with a young daughter, there is an attraction but she has been through so many romances she is a little scared. They take things slow and of course she falls in love with his young daughter. August knows he loves Etta but they break up when he begins to wonder whether he is only in love with her because she has similarities with his first wife. Of course they go through a lot to get back together and it takes all of the Glover’s to get things fixed. I suggest you read all the books in this series from the beginning, The Mechanics of Mistletoe. You will love all the family weddings and births. It is so enjoyable to read a series where the characters are more mature. The family is not perfect and they work through many issues and problems. This is a heartwarming series about faith, family, and commitment. Don’t miss this clean, inspirational romance from Liz Isaacson!
This is by far the BEST end to a series/saga EVER!! Etta has waited so long and been through so much, this book just finished her story off PERFECTLY!! August Winters was a wonderful character with flaws (just like everyone), his growth in this book and learning to love again, was so sweet. I cannot tell you how many times I teared up and cried in this book. I laughed too, the wedding scenes were AMAZING, we were able to get a bird's eye view from the matriarchs of the family. This series is for SURE one of my favorites EVER!! I LOVED the cameos from other series of books, but listen if you haven't read them, no worries you wont be lost, it is just so special for those of us who have!! As always Liz Isaacson captures your emotions and interest with out needing sex scenes or swearing, this series is well worth your time and this book is the cherry on top of a fantastic series/saga!!
I have had some ups and downs with many of the books in this series. But I appreciated each one because they all had a strong theme of love, family, commitment, and faith. Faith acknowledged and appreciated without it being shoved down anyone's throat.
I have to say that I think this was the best book of the series. I enjoyed August and Etta's journey from beginning to end. Even with some of the difficulties they and other family members encountered, the book left me feeling positive and uplifted. There seemed to be more humorous moments than usual.
This was a pretty long book, but it had to be with all of the Glover's, Glover spouses, Walker's, Ackerman's, Rinehart's, etc., and the multitude of children.
This was definitely a five star read for me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Etta Glover has been waiting her whole to find her true love become a mother and in the final book of the Christmas at Shiloh Ridge Ranch series she finds her happily ever after. I have been waiting for her story for the last several stories as she is such a great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Liz Isaacson did a great job of wrapping up the series. Each of the characters from the previous books has some part to play in this as she finishes up the series. They have their struggles but the Glover family is one that supports each other and really shows what a great family can be like.
I really enjoyed reading this whole series. The whole thing could be a hallmark t.v. show as it is such a heartwarming, wholesome story. I wouldn't be surprised to someday see a movie or several made out of this families' experiences. They really are a great family to read about.
As you read the series you will fall in love with them as they are your family also. Watching love form and then children born. Their lives are as our lives, real, loving, caring, people who has overcome struggles, many of struggle but as a family they celebrate, always there as a family. Now as for the journey each one has encountered had been tough, long, sorrow roads, but God had seen them through them. Faith and family. They never lost hoping and praying asking God. A true lesson I got and almost sure you will is Never give up. There is support and comfort will always be there with friends, family, in laws. You are Never forgotten or Never forsaken. Also their love towards family was even with step children, fostering children then adopting them. An awesome, wonderful, loving, God driven family.
Oh me, where do I begin? I’ve read the entire set of Shiloh Ridge. Liz Isaacson is an amazing author that keeps you entertained with each book she writes. She brings her words to life and you feel as if you are there with each and every family. You laugh, you cry, you hope, you find yourself feeling their pains and their joy. I love how each book would keep the family going and remembered. She continued her story with each one she wrote, ending with her last book about Etta and August. It’s like binge watching a season of your favorite TV Series, but in print. She stays true to her Christian beliefs throughout each book she writes. I can’t wait to start on my next journey with her.
Last book in the series. there are other series that link to this one just not sure what order. the Glover family's friends are neighbouring farmers and have there story's.I have read one other.I like this author style in the no sex Christian style of writing a lot of authors add pages and pages of sex so not much story telling.this is not the case with Liz isaacson. I am not a fan of her character mind jump that's why less stars.I wished each book was only focused on one couple and the fun family. Loved August poor guy had it ruff when he broke down and cried in his car I felt for him and her she has had it ruff to. would of like a few years later seeing them around the Angel tree.
I have loved this series with my whole heart. I have felt so connected with this family. I have laughed and cried many times reading theses books. I got to say Etta's book was a perfect end to the series. I love Etta and I loved watching her journey. It was not an easy journey but it ended beautifully. I loved learning about August and watching him grow and learn that it is okay to love again. I love that each cousin and sibling had a story of their own but in the end all that matters is the love they have for their family and God. These are the kind of books that stay with you long after you are done.
What a beautiful way to end the Shiloh Ridge Ranch series. I have been waiting for Etta to find her happily ever after and was a little worried when I read the family tree on Liz's website and it listed Etta and Noah. This story is another Glover family romance full of faith, love, forgiveness and restoration. I laughed and cried and fell in love with the Glovers all over again. I loved when the Glover men and the Walker men built a protective wall around Etta and then gave August advice on how to win her back. The Walkers and Glovers are my two favorite families in all of Liz's books. I am sorry for this series to end. It was the best.
Wonderful end to a great series with Etta the last of the Glovers to find their HEA. When she meets widowed dad August and his daughter Hailey she is just being nice when she gets a horse band-aid for Hailey after she falls down. When August starts working on the ranch and they run into each other they start seeing each other in secret because he does not want to upset his daughter or her getting hurt after losing her mother. August breaks both their hearts when he backs away only to realize that he has made a terrible mistake and enlist her family to help him get her back. Lovely story and ending.
What a beautiful story to end the series with! Book 1 grabbed me and kept me anxious for each addition to the series. God, Family, Friends, and the land are important to the Glovers and those facts are woven into each book with love and humor.
Etta's story, although not easy up until the start of this book, was basically happy on the outside, but lonely on the inside. August came in God's time and filled the void in Etta's heart.
Highly Recommend this book! Please don't read this story as a stand alone...start with book 1 (and progress from there) to weave together the fabric of this amazing family. Highly Recommend this series!
This book closes out the series about the Glover family at Shiloh Ridge Ranch. There's a rough road to HEA for Etta and August.
We see the cousins come together in a couple of emotional scenes and we get to see how the family has continued to grow in the between the books.
We get to quickly visit with some of the other rancher around Three Rivers TX , too. It was an emotional journey, so keep the tissues handy, but it's also the Glovers, so there's giggles, guffaws and wistful sighs, too.
What an inspiring story of faith, love and hope. I love Liz Isaacson’s books. They inspire me to be a better person and they remind me that there is hope if we keep working towards it with faith in God. In true life feelings and forgiveness can take longer than in a story. No one would want to read a story that takes years to get to the next step, yet in life it may take that long or longer. The big thing is to not give up hope or your faith in God. He is the one that will help you to get through the tough times.
Bummer, just finished this last book in the series of the Glover family. A little sad but so enjoyed getting to know all of these folks with all of their problems but ultimately seeing past their difficulties and always turning to the Lord. The weddings were wonderful with Judge officiating and bringing the family and their heritage together in love. Happy you included everyone in this book and how they were doing. Have read several of your books but this series was the best. Thank you for being an author and sharing your faith with us.
A bittersweet moment! I loved the book but heart is broken by the fact that we will be leaving the Glovers, Three Rivers, the Walkers and all the folks at Three Rivers Ranch. Liz Isaacson has a way of making these characters become your best friends. After 30 or so books, it didn’t even bother me anymore that Three Rivers, Texas, was in the wrong place. I’m glad that Etta finally got a man worthy of her but she was the last single Glover. I loved how the author used this story to catch you up with the rest of the families and their lives.
I have now finished binge reading this series. I laughed out loud, I cried and I loved every minute of them. Could the characters be frustrating, dense, stubborn and a whole lot of other frustrating things - yes they could, just like real life. Could they also be sacrificially loving, honest, loyal and a ton of heartwarming things - yes, they could be that too. Etta and August's story was a perfect way to end the series. I loved all 11 1/2 stories!
Well, all of the Glover cousins are married. It was a good run getting to know each and every dating experience and their stories leading into their marriages.
Etta and August had a great story to end the series on.
Now I I wondering if there will be books on the older children, like Aurora and Ollie. May be a series w her a number of the children from all of the series end up in a town away from their families. It is always nice to read how an author writes about a generationa ppl family.
A wonderful story to end an amazing series. Etta is the last one single at Shiloh Ridge Ranch and has always longed for her own baby with a husband who adores her. Etta and August’s story is filled with love, laughter, angst and heartbreak. These are great characters that you can’t help but be involved with. We get to see all the residents of Three Rivers, their friends and extended families. I absolutely loved it. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
5 stars just aren’t enough!!! What an AMAZING ending to this series! I think I cried through the last 4 chapters. The wedding and reception were a perfect way to run back over each family - who married whom and all the precious additions. I love that the matriarchs gave them prayerful blessings as they came down the aisle.
Oh, there just aren’t enough words for how attached I’ve become to the Glovers and Shiloh Ridge. Thank you Liz for giving us this inspiring, loud, wonderful family!
I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. This is a great final book in this Shiloh Ridge Series. Liz Isaacson has incorporated information on all the residents, and updates on their lives. In addition, she details the love story between August and Etta, with its ups and downs. This is both a heartwarming and emotional book, and I would highly recommend reading it.
There are so many emotions that you will have while reading this book but you also get updates on everyone in the whole family. Etta finally finds her one but then he breaks her heart. August regrets what he said and goes to Etta's brothers and cousins to get help on how to fix it because he really does love her. Will August be able to convince Etta to forgive him so they can both have their happy ever after?
As the last book of this series, it covered a lot of ground! I loved that that we weren’t left hanging!! There was closure for all the major characters in this series as well as giving the last main character her story!! I laughed, I cried, and I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Sad to see it end, but am anxiously awaiting the next new series by this author! I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this story and my thoughts are my own.
Etta, the last Glover single sibling will get her man. It’s not going to be an easy road with single father August. He has some big baggage to resolve. She fell in love with his daughter, but he has survivor guilt and a lot of fear holding him back. Being the last book of this series, it catches up on the family and other friends. Well written and a great book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
I was so glad that Etta finally was able to have her story told. This has been a wonderful series to read. The Glovers are fascinating characters. Etta has longed for a husband and children of her own to love. August has loved and lost a wife to a farming accident leaving him with a wonderful daughter to raise alone. Will Etta and August be able to overcome past hurts to find their own happiness?
Loved this series from first to last. The flow from one book to the other was excellent. It is great to all family members remember the Lord as they went through their trials. Loved seeing the relationships grow between all family members throughout the stories. Life is like that, we need the love and support of all to help us through life. Thank you so much for this incredible series. Loved the Walker series too.
