I own you now. Desperate and alone, I strike a bargain with a mafia boss. I make myself available to him, he pays my bills. I’m his beck-and-call-girl. He’s my sugar daddy. Bobby Manghini owns me–that’s our arrangement.
Giving myself to him is easy. He may be older, but he’s sinfully sexy. Skillful in bed. It’s a win-win for both of us, so long as I remember one thing: Don’t fall in love.
Bobby calls the shots, but he doesn’t play for keeps. I’m a toy, not his happily-ever-after. The book is a lengthened and revised version of the previously published story Mob Mistress.

This is a revised and lengthened version of a previously published story Mob Mistress - I haven't read this previous verion, which I think had cheating and a married man in, this new version does not have these in and is a fabulous read I could not put down!
Lexi is a young woman having a difficult time, she is behind in rent on her flat and behind on the rent of the 'chair' where she does her hairstyling, all due to having a car accident and not being covered with her insurance, so she has medical bills on top. Her best friend Gina works in a bar and suggests to Lexi that she needs a Sugar Daddy to help her out. Lexi didn't even know such a thing existed, until she meets mob boss Bobby.
Bobby is an older guy, he's been married, got kids, doesn't want all the trappings of a relationship and all the feelings associated with it, he's been there and done that. He likes being a Sugar Daddy, being dominant and in control in the bedroom, having a woman at his beck and call when he needs them, in return he treats her right, sets her up financially and looks after her in many ways, just keeping the emotional attachment out of it. But he's also a mafia boss, the women he gets involved with have to have no knowledge of his business dealings, for his sake and theirs.
Bobby steps in and rescues Lexi from a man in the bar who won't take no for an answer, and they soon agree to give the 'Sugar Daddy' thing a road test to see how compatible they are. Lexi finds herself very turned on with Bobby and his dominant ways, wanting to please him, liking his praise. Bobby finds Lexi gorgeous and finds she has a submissive streak, along with like a bit of pain, a perfect match for him. But things with the 'Family' start to get a bit hairy as the Feds move in and start investigating Bobby and his businesses, and an ex-girl of Bobby's won't take no for an answer.
I really loved these two together! Their chemistry together is explosive - Lexi is a good, caring person who hates being in the position she is in and having to rely on Bobby financially, she's embarrassed to find herself in that predicament. But Bobby is lovely with her, very protective towards her, willing to give her anything she needs, regarding her as his in every way, yet he has to be very careful to keep his business dealings away from her, especially with the Feds poking about.
A great read - a good mix of mafia / age gap / daddy / bdsm / protector all rolled into one!
- I was interested in the concept. But I am not liking the dialogue… - there ZERO connection and they’ve hooked up twice and he’s telling something that no one but his therapist ex wife and daughters know? Please - um. Kinda ews me out they had sex at her work - ummmm ONE appointment and you’re over the trauma of your accident??? - i feel like she needs to be more conscious of the fact he’s in the mafia?? Like she does not care AT ALL. which is fine sure. But she did care. Now it’s all “boohoo he has business to take of and can’t spend time with me” - for a scary made man, he believed her too easily that she’s not a rat. Like we as the reader know that. But he doesn’t with - ummmm thought Bobby dealt with his anger issues??? Here he is grabbing a woman by the neck with violence???? -I can’t BELIEVE she went along with Stacy believing he wanted a threesome KNOWING Stacy is a crack job who wants him back. Why not wait to ask him first??? - I hate these characters - yes yes. He has a magic dick and the only one that can make you come. Sheesh - Omg girl. Ofcourse a wedding you didn’t attend and were “deemed worthy of attending”. You’re his sugar baby with a defined role!! You KNOW THIS. You ACCEPTED THIS. Either talk to him about it or break up. I’m tired of reading the complaint - I totally get you’re not ok with this situation anymore. But you can’t seriously say things like he’s ““treating me like a second-class citizen” And having a “laugh at your expense”. THIS WAS THE TERMS OF THE RELATIONSHIP. - I’m so on bobby side about this. No she can’t call him on a number he told her not to. Yes they have boundaries and she doesn’t respect them. She knows who he is and how he operates. If she doesn’t like it, then either talk to him or leave - Omg GIRL WTF. HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG??? - and instead of wearing big girl pants and telling him you’re out, you ghost him. I would expect nothing less of you - I feel like the BDSM needed to be better done. Loke at the end he wants her to wear a collar and everything. But that’s not the vibe I got from their relationship. It always felt like they were playing at it - also this is the second time it’s been mentioned but HOW DO NIPPLES PROTRUDE THROUGH PADDED BRAS??? - if these characters were better and had more chemistry I would have really enjoyed the plot of the story. God they pissed me off

Dang. This was so close to being GOOD. Ugh. Ruined by stupid women. So, you've got Lexi (hair stylist, behind on rent) and Bobby (mob guy that doesn't want to settle down again, just wants some sugar on the side). Lexi's friend introduces her to Bobby and suggests he be her sugar daddy. That's the abbreviated version. It was going good until the author decided to turn Lexi into a dumb twat. She literally becomes everything Bobby flat out said he didn't want. She's clingy and needy. And when she sees his "ex" at the club she's all participating in conversations and trading phone numbers. How f*cking dumb are you?! I don't know ANY woman in this world that meets up with her man's ex-girlfriend and is like oh sure let's just sit here and gossip about him like we're BFFs. Much less, why would any woman think that's a good way to keep her man happy?! Didn't make a damn bit of sense. Then the heifer shows up in her apartment and you're not freaking out?! It just didn't make sense. I was like wtf girl. Just no. Plus, and here is the kicker - I didn't believe they were in love. Or really even lust. I know this because I read books by a different author that are about 40 pages long and I believe in the love/lust of the couple. This book was like 230 pages and I still didn't find it as believable. There you have it, kids.
The first red flag should’ve been the name Bobby. I mean, what kind of mafia guy goes by Bobby? The moment I saw that name, all I could think of was Bob the Builder—specifically the 1999 version, with his round little face and hard hat. And once that image planted itself in my brain, it was game over.
Oh, and the cherry on top? Bobby owns a construction company. Because of course he does. It just made the Bob the Builder comparisons even worse.
But the real disaster hit during the steamy scenes. Every time he called the FMC "good girl," all I could hear was Bob the Builder saying it in his upbeat, can-do voice. Let me tell you, trying to survive a spicy mafia romance while laughing like a lunatic is a unique kind of struggle.
To be clear, this book ruined Bob the Builder—and honestly, I’m not sure I’ll ever recover. Can we fix it? No, we absolutely can’t!
The story of Lexi (hair stylist) and Bobby (mafia boss) was steamy 🥵 it’s a pretty typical mafia romance, in my opinion, girl has job, but needs money because she’s past due on bills, friend (Gina-waitress/bartender) introduces girl to older, sugar daddy (Bobby) looking for a sugar baby to take care of and they fall in love. If you like mafia romances, then I’d suggest this one. It was an easy, quick read with many spicy scenes in it 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Thank you Renee Rose for the free download of your book. I really appreciate it ❤️
Don’t Tease Me does a great job of showing how a practical relationship can evolve into so much more. Lexi and Bobby have a sugar-daddy setup—he pays for her room and board and essentials, and she’s available to him whenever he needs her. Bobby has avoided any sort of commitment since his divorce years ago, when he promised his young twin daughters that he wouldn’t bring anyone else to live with them. Lexi is at her wit’s end, behind in rent payments, medical payments, and more. So the situation works for both of them; she gets the money she needs to address her financial woes, and he gets physical release when he wants it.
But the heart knows what the heart knows, and watching these two gradually move their contractual relationship to something else is the core of Don’t Tease Me. Bobby is also a made man, and one thing I loved that Rose did in this book is that Bobby actively worked to ensure his professional life was kept separate from Lexi, in large part to protect her. Lexi is a smart young woman caught in bad circumstances, and seeing how Bobby’s support helps her grow professionally and personally was a treat.
This is also an age-gap romance; Lexi isn’t significantly older than Bobby’s now-grown daughters. How they address that and their growing desire is one of the major crux points of this book. And Lexi isn’t the first woman Bobby has kept in this manner, and previous relationships come to haunt both of them over the course of Don’t Tease Me.
This book just went down easy. I flew through the pages in almost one sitting. Rose is an assured author, and that comfort is reflected in the confident writing of Don’t Tease Me.
This was a fun, steamy, easy read that I devoured in one afternoon and is OUT NOW!
Based around Lexi who has absolutely nothing going right for her, and Bobby who is a part of the Mafia who offers her a financial situation she can’t (and doesn’t want) to say no to *cough* sugar daddy*cough* This was a rewrite of one of Renee’s early stories and whilst I didn’t read that earlier work I really liked this one. There was hella steam, plus enough emotion mixed in to keep me hooked. The pace was good, and nothing felt rushed or brushed over. First in a companion novel series, I’m excited for the next book and the next couple.
Tropes: Sugar Daddy Going to Something Real Age Gap Mafia BDSM
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 . Thanks to @socialbutterfly_pr for the advanced copy in exchange for a review
Loved this book, usually not into the Mafia trope but it wasn’t the main plot of the story and I enjoyed that about it. The FMC was not an innocent, whiny girl, she knew what she wanted and went for it. MMC is intense and I loved every second! It’s a must read for sure!
This was a quick and sexy read. There was not a lot of plot to this story. The book focuses heavily on the sexual relationship. The relationship starts out very transactional and feels and emotions come into play in the last 10% of the book. This is a great palette cleaners if you are looking for quick and dirty with out any character development or real storyline.
After an accident left her unable to work for months Lexi is in a hole. She’s got mountains of debt and sees no way out until she meets Bobby a ‘made’ man who doesn’t do relationships but has a succession of mistresses – can a man still have a mistress if he isn’t married? Maybe sugar daddy is a better word as there is a bit of an age gap between them although not so much as it’s a bit icky! At a rough guess I’d put it as maybe 15 years give or take. Bobby is very controlling with a very strong dominant nature and given his line of business, keeps his life compartmentalised and just isn’t looking for any emotional ties. When he meets Lexi he’s instantly attracted to her and sees the submissive side she wasn’t aware she even had. They seemed the perfect match until Lexi starts to want more and Bobby starts to develop feelings for her.
I am a fan of Renee Rose but while I enjoyed this book I didn’t love it as much I feel I should. I have read the original novella, Mob Mistress, of which Don’t Tease Me is the extended and updated version and think I probably preferred the original book. I did like the character of Bobby but he seemed a bit of a parody of what everyone imagines a mobster to be and I half expected him to end every sentence with capisce! As I was reading I kept picturing Buddy Valastro of Cake Boss fame as Bobby – definitely not a turn on!!! The main thing was at no point did I feel there was any dangerous vibe coming off him like I expect from any literary bad boy especially a mobster. I really didn’t like Lexi. Yeah she was conflicted about the situation and moral dilemma she found herself in but she quickly did a one-eighty and came across as a gold digger especially on the shopping trip and being upset at her friend asking her to repay the rent she owed her. There was good chemistry between them but long term I couldn’t see them working as a couple. Lexi appeared high maintenance and after a while I think she’d be too much like hard work for Bobby. He’s settled for disposal non-relationships for years for a reason.
Seems simple enough. Don’t fall in love with your Sugar Daddy; especially if he’s a mob boss. But then again, this is a Renee Rose romance, so you can bet Lexi is going to do just that in Don’t Tease Me. This is a fun story. It’s not particularly dark, but Ms. Rose does a great job with the mob elements and I also really liked all the secondary characters. Lexi and Bobby are great together in the way they balance each other AND feed each other’s passions. Okay, let’s be real, it’s hawt. Their interactions range from sizzling to scorching in all the right ways
Lexi is a hard working hairstylist that is about to lose her apartment and her workspace due to no circumstances of her own. Bobby is all alpha and a mafia guy that he has a heart of gold especially when it comes to Lexi. They strike a deal- Lexi has to be at his beck and call and he sets her up in a swanky apartment and pays all of her bills. That draws the attention of others in the mafia and the Feds. The one rule above all was not to catch feelings, who do you think falls first?
This was Ok. The plot had promise but it became overrun with sterile plug and play sex scenes that were pseudo dom/sub with some daddy/good girl thrown it. Not sure I’ll try the next in the series.
As with other mafia romances by this author, the blurb reads darker than the book. The male mc is tough and dangerous, but runs mostly legitimate businesses and is completely protective of the female mc.
Also consistent with Ms. Rose's other works, the characters and their relationship growth is what makes this an interesting and fun read.
Exactly what I expected and needed from a short book. Some aspects felt rushed like they wanted the plot to move forward within a lower page count. But it was enjoyable and I devoured it.
This one wasn't a good as I hoped it would be but it wss a good read. I don't think I was ever really invested in the characters. I don't think the story was fully developed that allowed for you to invest in the characters.
📚mafia 📚sugar daddy 📚age gap (10+ yrs) 📚single dad 📚made man & hairdresser
This book was okay. There was nothing wrong with it, I just think the characters lacked chemistry and were bland. The third act breakup was a bit ridiculous. I found this book on booktok and it said it was spicy, but it wasn’t really spicy. 1/5 on the spice scale. I also didn’t really enjoy the author’s style of writing. Just wasn’t for me
Sure there's spankings, but nothing more spicier than that. "Bobby" is a made man. Older, divorced, dad of 19 year old twin girls. He ends up as the sugar daddy to "Lexi" a down on her luck hair designer. While he's in the NJ mob, he seems to be on the legit end. Not completely clean, as they use his construction company to launder the money, but he's not exactly killing people or facilitating them swimming with the fishes. He eludes to a more violent past - which is how he became "made." I mean, I almost didn't classify this as a "dark" romance.
While I don't mind the insta-love trope in paranormal romance books, I don't like it in contemporary romance books. At least in paranormal romances, there is the mating bond which can account for the insta-lust/love. But here? Not believable. Particularly for an experienced man of the world. His constant comments about relationships and marriage are "been there, done that, not doing it again. EVER." So what is it about this woman that has him all desperate for her in only a few weeks? While their sex was hot, I still didn't feel a deep connection between these two.
For her part, our FMC, Lexi, becomes everything he tells her that he doesn't want in a "girl." She's needy, and calls/texts him even though he told her that their agreement is that she is to always be available to him when he calls, but he is NOT her boyfriend, so not to expect him to be hanging around a lot. She gets upset at him for treating her, well, like a paid companion. THAT IS WHAT YOU SIGNED UP FOR. I can understand walking into an agreement - especially when you're desperate - thinking that this is only physical and only for a short while and then falling for the dude. But I cannot understand her getting all upset because he didn't invite her to a "family" wedding - because she thinks she's not good enough to be taken to those types of things. He told her from the beginning that he keeps his private life and business/family life totally separate. Instead of respecting that, she keeps pushing his boundaries. I can't think of any mobster that would put up with her. But this is fiction.
There really isn't a plot, other than the relationship building. The only conflict is a few pages in the beginning and ending where the FBI is trying to flip Lexi. The author could have expanded that a bit to add more excitement, but didn't. Anyway, if you like mafia romances you may like this one. I just wasn't inspired.
“Don’t Tease Me: A Dark Mafia Age-Gap Romance” is the first book in a new series “Made Men” and tells the story of Bobby Manghini and Lexi. Renee Rose writes a story of intrigue, peppered with a few surprises, romance, and drama which makes this a delightful and interesting read! The main action in the book are in the characters. Renee Rose has done an excellent job of making the people in the story almost breathe. A wonderful and captivating love story that is impossible to put down. The reader is pulled into wanting the best of these people. Bobby is an older guy, he's been married, has children, doesn't want all the trappings of a relationship and all the feelings associated with it and is a member of the Mafia. He likes being a Sugar Daddy, a dominant and in control in the bedroom, having a woman at his beck and call. He treats her right, sets her up financially and looks after her in many ways, just keeping the emotional attachment out of it. Lexi is a young woman having a difficult time, she is behind in her rent and behind on the rent of the 'chair' where she does her hairstyling, since being in a car accident that saddled her with medical bills because she did not have medical coverage. What can she do? Her best friend Gina works in a bar and suggests that she could use a Sugar Daddy. Lexi has no wish for this until she meets Mafia Boss Bobby……The air between them is electric, they are both strong, passionate, brave and their struggle to deny their feelings towards each other is fascinating to watch. There is so much chemistry, comedy, intrigue and suspense in this story. I couldn't put it down. It is fast paced story that will keep you reading from the first page until the end of the story! It is sweet, hopeful and filled with lots of suspense! Renee Rose gives us a wonderful and amazing well told story. Thank you!
Honestly, I don't know where to start. I was very excited to read this but was very disappointed within reading the first few pages.
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Lexi is an idiot. How many times does she need to be reminded to be careful when talking about Bobby to anyone. Some random woman walks up to you in bar and you just share all this information because you're jEaLoUs that she claims to be his "ex" and want to one up her. THEN YOU GIVE THIS RANDOM WOMAN HIS NUMBER HE ASKED YOU NOT TO SHARE WITH ANYONE TO HER? Lexi wasn't even supposed to speak about him to anyone and here she is carrying on in public talking about their sex life?? Girl, please, shut up. It's so exhausting to read her internal monologues about her money issues. Yes, I understand she entered this arrangement for financial gain but my god this is supposed to be a romance. There is literally not an ounce of romance to be found. 90% of the time she's thinking about how she can get more money out of Bobby. Her always being upset when he's busy was so odd as well. She just came across as a unlikable gold digger. The OW mentions and drama was such a turn off. And Putting Lexi in the same apartment he put all of his previous stripper exes gives me the ick. I hope it got a new mattress before she moved in. Bobby's constant comparison of Lexi to his ex-sugar babies and ex-wife didn't sit well with me. I also don't read romance with a H or h that has been married + has children, so this wasn't really my cup of tea for those reasons as well.
I absolutely love love love Renee Rose's books. Her Chicago Bratva series is amazing!! This one really missed to mark for me.
this is sort of a side-note and not really relevant but I wasn't expecting her to charge Bobby's daughter for the haircut lol
