More Than Anyone

Rate this book
A year after their breakup, they find themselves back in each other's lives to celebrate a wedding. All Liz wants is a chance to explain her reasons for leaving while all Brad wants is to make it through the week long celebration with minimal contact. What they don't anticipate is every single person they know conspiring to bring them back together.

Throw in one bed, an ex showing up, coordinated outfits and you have the recipe for love.... right?

They say if it's meant to be, it will find it's way back to you.
But what if it does and it's too late?
Sometimes loving someone means breaking their heart.

5 Stars.

🖤 The vibes:
- Second chance
- Book 2 in duet
- Grief rep
- Wedding week setting

🖤 My thoughts:
This was a very lovely follow up to Glad You Exist. This book was every bit the heart and angst that comes in all of Kaye’s books. She writes emotions so well. The grief and anxiety and depression hits in such a real way. Kaye’s writing is truly beautiful to me. It feels so raw and relatable in all of her books- and this one continues with that vibe.

I’m giving it five stars because Kaye always gives me a HEA but really destroys me during the journey. Her books feel unique and different which I love.

The ending felt a little bit fast for me- but I also think it made sense for our characters. The epilogue was so so so sweet. Bonus points because it was set in Christmas. It made me want to immediately go back and re read the other books related to this one (Glad You Exist and When I Met You). The core four group is such a wonderful found family. I love the depth of their bonds to eachother throughout all the books.

If you haven’t read any of Kaye’s books - start with Glad You Exist. (And tell me so we can chat about it.)

Check TW if you have concerns.

Thank you so much to Kaye Rockwell for an advanced reader copy of this book to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you Kaye for an ARC of this beautiful book!

This conclusion to the duet was simply perfect. Be warned: there will be heartbreak before the HEA but it’s worth it. Yes, really. Every heartache. Every tear. Bc the ending will be that much sweeter. I promise.

Oh Liz. I wanted to wrap her up in a hug. She's the type that will endure pain in silence, rather than burden anyone with her struggles even tho they would help her in a heartbeat. And this was the core of Liz's journey. Realizing that even in times when she had to do things for herself, she could still lean on the people she loved for help. Bc in isolating herself, she hurt the very ones she was trying to shield. And goddammit I just wanted her to lean into the love she had, okay? Bc it was abundant and I didn't want her to suffer alone. 😭

And Brad. Shit. Reading his pain was like a knife to the heart. Every. Single. Line. And it cut deep knowing that underneath it all, his love for Liz never waivered. 🥺 But his heartbreak laced every interaction he had with Liz and it was HARD to watch, bc we knew he was barely holding himself together. And seeing them attempt to coexist for their families? Well, let's just say with a history like theirs, emotions ran high real fast and I had to go looking for more tissues. Yes. More. I'm not exaggerating when I say I felt a physical ache in my chest THE ENTIRE TIME bc I *knew* they still loved each other and I just wanted to heal those wounds for them so they could move forward.

And I could never write a review about this duet without mentioning Kyle and Kim (collectively the fearsome foursome with Liz and Brad) bc their show of friendship will never cease to warm my heart. They’re not just friends; they’re family. PLUS THAT EPILOGUE. 🥰

CN: open-door romance, mention of cancer scare

Liz really bugged me this book. She was so great in Glad You Exist and had great growth but this book seemed like a lot of her own anxieties playing out again. It just kind of seemed messy.

༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ can I hug all of them please???

a beautiful sequel to Glad You Exist ! GYE has such a special place in my heart and no other book will ever be able to replace it! I was so scared but excited at the same time for the second book. but let me tell you i'm fine and this had the ending I needed!!!!! Just like GYE, More Than Anyone took my emotions on a roller coaster ride. Ugh let me tell you. the way it started I was like awww look at them all grown up, with a open door scene! but then the ride began. up and down up and down, me being scared, mad, understanding, sad, in love ... just ugh can't describe! even tho I knew the ending because if you know Brad and Liz you just know, I loved the journey they had, as individuals but as a couple as well!
Liz is this Independent girlie that thinks she can do everything by herself, but little does she know that Brad and their 2 best friends would do anything for her and each other. even tho she knows that, she still takes off abroad without telling anyone why and what for. Liz leaves... once again! Brad's heart is shattered and he is convinced that this is it. their story is over.
But then Liz is back and Kyle and Kim do literally anything to get them back together...

Reading Brad's pain was so hurtful ! I felt every emotion he had and I felt so sorry for him. As well as Liz's side. They both made me so mad at one point but I kept reminding myself that I'm an outsider reading both their POVs and since Glad You Exist I could relate to Liz in so many ways and I think that's why I felt this book so much as well... ._. lmao!
I'm gonna miss them so much!
I 100% recommend this series!!
Book 1: Glad You Exist (Focused on Brad and Liz)
Book 1.5: When I Met You (Novella about Kyle and Kim)
Book 2: More Than Anyone (Focused on Brad and Liz)

Uh IS EVERYONE OKAY because wow this book tore me to pieces AND the sudden steam?
WHO KNEW BRAD HAD THAT SIDE TO HIM. NOT COMPLAINING. TOTALLY HERE FOR IT.
I read this longer than it should have taken because I did not want it to end!!I totally love these two together. The chemistry between them even in the parts where they weren't together felt like so intense. So good. More books like this. Someone give me recs.
