Forgotten: The V.A.C. Chronicles: Tahlia Martin

Rate this book
The Short Version:
Three and a half weeks after a car accident, Tahlia awakens from a coma missing the past two and a half years of her life. The people she cared for most are either gone or so drastically changed she has trouble reconciling her memories of their relationships with who they have become. Forgotten takes you through her struggle to reclaim her life through her perspective while she battles against amnesia, her loved ones holding back what they know about her missing time, as well as a boyfriend she doesn’t remember dating who refuses to let her go.

The Longer Synopsis:
It was Kaliana who pointed out when we were younger that everything in our lives happens in two’s or at least the number was always somehow involved. We’re twins, she told me, it’s our thing. Which is probably why she was so distressed when Nikolai Lennox came into our lives. From the beginning he was mine and he didn’t bring anyone for her. As much as I adored Nicca, they fought and chafed against each other. It wore on us, Kaliana and I, we lost some of our special closeness.
I tried to tell her it wasn’t a big deal, he was the first friend I ever took for my own, she had plenty of friends we didn’t share and at the end of the day he was just a boy and she was my twin. One day there would be more boys and we’d fall in love with two guys who came into our lives at the same time. She laughed and told me it was too late for that. I didn’t understand.
The day our parents died in a car accident, I finally understood what she meant. We lost our parents and each other that night two years ago. The two of us, our two parents, two years, Nicca and myself, all these twos falling apart, I should have known the same thing would happen to either one or both of us further down the line.
It was me, coming home to deal with some things I’d put off for far too long. I was in such a rush to set things right… And now I’m missing the two years between the two accidents and everything has gone horrendously wrong between me, Kali, Nicca, and somehow Gage is also involved. Why do I get the feeling most of it is my fault? Why doesn’t anyone seem to want to let me or even help me fix our lives?

The story starts with a hard chapter, letting you see that something bad has been going on, this totally captured my attention and I just had to know what was happening. The story is about strength and courage and dealing with whatever is thrown at you. 5*

This is a wonderful book to read, it touches on many subjects many authors are afraid to write about.

I really loved the details in this book it helps the reader to actually be present along in the story line as you read along. If you have read her first version you will still enjoy this one because of the changes! Without spoiling the book, all I’m going to say is a lot of lives are changed for the better!

Great story

Tahlia is fortunate to have her lifelong best friend become her soulmate, and I must say, it's about time. Moreover, she shares an indestructible, albeit tumultuous, bond with her twin sister, Kahlia. I admire how Graceli boldly addresses real-life issues that many authors shy away from. The V.A.C series stands out for its realistic and heart-wrenching stories that portray characters not as victims but as survivors.

Graceli Kaye, you did an outstanding job with this book. I got ahead of myself here and read this out of order, as it is the second book, not the first. I will go back and read it once I read the special edition version of this book; I want to read the extra stuff, lol, but I wanted to give a review on it as well. This book was very well written. I fell in love with each of the characters, especially Nikolai Lennox and Tahlia. Although I wanted to KILL GAGE! I felt sorry for Kaliana. I felt so many emotions reading this book. I cried, laughed, held my breath a lot, bit my nails, and kept turning the pages! The story was deep and intense. I was drawn to each character, well, except for Gage. I could have done without him, but he was necessary in the story. The intense emotions in this story sometimes made me have to put it down for a minute to process it all, but at the same time itching to pick it right back up to see what happens next. The story had a true-to-life experience feel to it. I cried a lot, I laughed even more, I felt sorry for people, and I hated some people (I bet you can't guess who that was!). All the characters were well-developed and well-described. Apparently, they can be read out of order, as I understood this book from the beginning, but I probably would have understood Tahlia's background more if I had read Damaged first. I cannot wait to read the rest of these stories and go back and read the first book Damaged. I want to understand more about each character and what makes them tick. I highly recommend this book. I have purchased the rest and will read them soon.Forgotten: The V.A.C. Chronicles: Tahlia Martin

Fabulous

Another great intense read. I loved every minute of sitting on the edge of my seat. I have a few questions but hopefully they are answered in the next book. Looking forward to it.

I loved Tahlia and Nic.
Kali though deserves the worst sister of the year award.
T. is lucky she lost her memory and was able to heal slowly but at the same time had she known what had happened would things have ended up any different?
Childhood best friends who have loved each other forever Tahlia and Nic finally find each other, but their growth together is hindered by one extremely possessive A-hole.
Gracili's way of writing trauma into romance is amazing. I love this V.A.C. Series.

Graceli Kaye, you did an outstanding job with this book. I got ahead of myself here and read this out of order, as it is the second book, not the first. This special edition had more to it than the original and I loved it! It only added to the enhancement of the book. This book was very well written. I loved this story so much. I couldn't get enough of Tahlia's sass. I wanted to give both Gage and Kali a piece of my mind at different points. Lol Can't wait to see what the rest of the series has to offer!

Great Story

I love stories with twins. I don’t think I’ve read a story where one of the main characters has amnesia. Thus was very interesting. Talhia didn’t lose all her memories after her accident. I was quickly pulled into the mystery of her getting her memories back. I loved her attitude even though she didn’t voice her true thoughts at times. I loved Nick’s dad! I read Damaged first. You can read it it this one first. They happen in the same time frame. Both books connect in the last chapters. I can’t wait to see what happens when Kali goes to VAC.

Be sure to check out this special edition release! The same story as before, but it now includes three bonus chapters from Tahlia's coma after the main story. They were intentionally added to the end so as to not give away any of the mystery surrounding Tahlia's circumstances until after you've read her version of events.
I hope you'll check it out and enjoy the additional insight.

Great story

Life has been hectic lately, so I had to unfortunately read this a little bit each day, instead of binge reading. But it was nice to stay in this world and in their story for an extended time. So much detail went into developing each of the characters. I liked the bonus chapters too. Looking forward to reading more from this series.
