Anddd I am finished with The Siren's Curse trilogy. Damn it was such a good one🤌🏻.
Targa is determined to do whatever it takes to free her mother and their kind from the saltwater curse that has had mermaids in its grasps and destroyed homes and separated infant sons from their mothers for hundreds of years. But finding out the origin of the course and destroying it might not be as easy as it seems, since the curse seems to stem from the lost city of Atlantis and might cost Targa her life..
Another splendidly written book you people 🤌🏻 I think for the next book in the universe, the we have a series for Georjie- The Earth Elemental's book after this but I am going to miss our mermaids Targa and Mira. Hopefully Targa appears more in the future books since I have always loved and found mermaid tales so fascinating. Nothing but love for this series!.
I started off reading the Elemental series and absolutely loved it! Then I read this series, I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to read Mira’s story next.
fands ganz gut, muss aber sagen das ich ab der hälfte irgendwie immer weniger verstanden habe … habs trotzdem beendet der Vollständigkeit halber aber ja…
I have so enjoyed the story of the sirens. Targa is my favorite. Her mom too. When they are in the water, the author has a way of making you feel like you are there with them. So magical. If anything, I wanted to read about Targa doing more, but the story brought in more of Petra than I liked. Very well written. I will have to read their story again from beginning. The time between books was enough to forget some of what happened, mostly in Mira’s books. Had a hard time putting the book down. Good job.
I great ending to this particular trilogy in the series regarding the Siren's curse. I'm interested to see how things may progress as the Mer population tries to rebuild post-curse.

I have totally adored all of A.L. Knorr’s Elemental Origins series books and Salt & the Sisters: The Siren's Curse 3 (The Book 9). This concluding chapter in the Siren's Curse trilogy (within the larger series) is perfect. Ancient mysteries solved, great adventure concluded and a curse to be broken and destiny to be faced. This is heady stuff but it’s all perfectly written, filled with a wonderfully well crafted cast from Targa on down and superbly plotted in a way that resolves all that really craved resolution. A totally fun ride. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
What would you sacrifice to save your posterity? I loved, loved, loved this book! Not only that, but I loved the whole series. However, this book especially holds a key to my heart due to some mysteries solved regarding the Mer curse, and also the wonderful HEA. My tears were considerably less than Mer tears, non-the-less there were tears shed. Ms Knorr’s writing is flawless, well paced, and very creative. Loved the characters which were very well fleshed out. They are my friends now. The world building is very vivid which put me right there with the characters. I especially liked Petra who dropped everything to be there for Targa when she needed her help. I hope Ms Knorr continues to write more in the world of the other elementals. I’ll be there.
Seldom have I read anything I have enjoyed as much as I have enjoyed A.L. Knorr's series of the world of sirens. I have read the complete series twice now, enjoying it many times more on the second reading. That's not to say the first reading was not as outstanding, because it was. But, with the second reading there was a whole new level of understanding. I did not remember it all as the two were separated by many months, which allowed much of it to be fresh but, as I said, with understanding and insight that wasn't there the first time around. I would love to know Nike's story and I would also love to know the story of Okeanos as it's sirens return after the curse was broken. Perhaps the two could be combined.
This a very satisfying conclusion to Targa's saga that began a series ago in Born of Water. While the earlier books (1-6) felt like YA tales to me, this series had a deeper sense to it, perhaps because so much of it dealt with the history behind Targa's and her mother's people. History, magic, and mythology blend with human foibles and human caring to make for a well crafted tale.
I look forward to reading more of this author's work, especially as she continues the tales of the others from the Elemental Origins series.
And I expect I will return to Targa's tale in the future, as well.
The way the curse is broken is an interesting twist. I enjoyed finding out why the curse was made. I enjoyed this entire series. I would like to know Targa's story beyond the breaking of the curse, even without a mystery to solve. Does she have sons or daughters? Does Emun sire a new generation of Tritons? Does Mira have children with with Jozef? I like the characters very much and personally feel their stories are not finished.
Have you ever read a series where each book is basically the same storyline with different characters?! Well, this is absolutely NOT one of those! A. L. Knorr has outdone herself. I absolutely cannot wait to read more about the other girls now. I get so consumed by the imagery she creates, it's like watching a movie in my head, only I don't think any director could follow through with what she has penned. Absolutely awe inspiring. She has easily become one of my favorite authors!!
Come join three full Mer, one Atlantean, one Air and Water Elementals and one human on a journey to find Atlantis and a way to end the Mermaid Curse. Will they succeed before the world finds out?
Another great series by Ms. Knorr who shows great understanding of how people react to those are different and that love and faith in the differences can change your prospective with an open mind.
Some amazing surprises as we come to the end of the trilogy. We learn past history and see the effects that hatred, jealousy, and greed have upon not only individuals, but entire peoples. We also see how love, loyalty, generosity, selflessness, and mercy win the day. An amazing trilogy, and an amazing series. The Elementals is well worth reading.
Reading these books, for me, is like getting a long awaited letter from a beloved relative, when your life is so static and mundane. I become totally immersed, every word savoured and every chapter poured over, my everyday life fading into the background until that very last word is read. Highly Recommended.
Soooooo good!! I loved the ending of this story, I feel like the author wrapped up everything nicely, albeit it took a little while to get the story of how the curse all started. But everything felt like it was answered, although she did leave room for more to continue. This is probably one of my favorite stories of the series - a must read.
I got goose kinkles! What a perfect end to a perfect series! The sister added a great twist to an already wonderful series. Sometimes the last book in a series can be disappointing, but when I finished the last page, I just thought, "Yes, that's how it was meant to be!" Who says nothing good ever happens in the epilogue?
I loved the fact that even more so questions were answered. What was the true rift between the Sirens and the Antlanteons. Of course now I need to read Mira's story to answer a few more. This series has love, curses, magic, mystery, and redemption in it, but in order for you to understand any of it you must read all of the Sirens curse books.
I tore this trilogy to shreds after reading Born of Water. I'm now sad I ran through their pages so fast! All three books had me tearing through word after word. I'm genuinely looking forward to reading the Mira series next! I also will read the rest of the Elementals series!
This book follows Mira and Targa along with her new brother and their boyfriends as they look to break the siren's curse. They enlist Petra to help unearth the City of Atlantis. The book is full of action suspense and adventure as they travel and try to solve how to break the curse, get the book and join the adventure.
This was a lovely a novel. The overreaching arcs beautifully wove back in together, completing the puzzle once and for all. Though there were one or two still left unanswered, it still gave one amazing close to our Water Elemental. I can't wait for the next series in this Elemental Universe!
Well written as all her books. This one ties it all together. Jealous and greed, anger and rage brought into being a curse. Love , care and forgiveness brought healing and wholeness. I love it.
An amazing and incredible story that is a grand-final to an amazing serie. It’s great to have one more view on Atlantida, to understand the paths that lead all characters to the place. We are transported to the story by its smooth narrative.
This book really put all of the pieces of the past together. In this book, they locate Jozeph or he finds them rather... When he asks them to cover to his home, they find a mermaid in a tank.... Only to realize it is Nike and she has been in hibernation. They are able to wake her and nurse her back to health. Then they make the journey to Atlantis. Targa is able to contact Petra who is happy to explore and basically use her element to unearth Atlantis. (I did enjoy seeing her and that she seemed a bit closer to Targa at the end. I do want her included with our elemental girls! 🦸🏽♂️) Anyhow, there is more delving into the past and we see how the curse was created by two sisters. I really liked this series a lot. I will definitely continue to read. (but I really want to be a proof reader for AL Knorr. So many minor errors and duplicate or skipped words! 🤦♀️ It bugs me so much!)
I really like the originality of this story and the authors creativity. She pays a lot attention to detail and it definitely makes the story flow seamlessly. Salt and the Sisters is a gripping tale. From beginning to end I was completely engrossed in Targa and Mira’s quest to break the sirens curse. Targa and her loved ones uncover some important information that might allow them to break the curse but they need the help of an old friend to translate it but how do you find someone who doesn’t want to be found? Their journey has many twists that lead to lots of new unexpected discoveries. It’s a bit emotional and tense in some parts. I loved the dog and a certain character’s adoration towards him. I also loved the cameos of some of the previous characters from other books. I would definitely recommend this series.
This was my favorite book of the three. Loved this trilogy. Targa’s growth throughout these three books was beautiful to witness. The story was captivating, the world building was so well done and the character growth was written so eloquently.
The war was very cool and written in a way that wasn’t expected. The Sirens vs mermaids sounds cheesy but it was done so well. This author really did her research when it came to the mythology pieces of each creature. Loved the whole premise and flow of this novel.
These three books are so great for beaches and easy reads. You’ll get through them so quickly.
One thing I admire about Targa, she will go to any lengths for those she loves. The curse was horrifying and breaking it wasnt an easy task. It was so heartbreaking seeing how the curse affected the merpeople and the children, particularly infant sons. So many families ripped away from each other. It made me angry and made me love Targa even more for what she did. She didnt care what the cost was going to be. She would free them all. Not only do I love the story, but I also adore the descriptions and the writing. It almost made it seem so real. I could feel the salt and water against my skin. I look forward to what else comes from this author.
