Small Town, sizzling chemistry, a cute litte boy and a sweet dog and a boat load of emotions. Sounds like the perfect book for a cozy snuggle by the fire on a snowy winter day.
Tiffany and Wes knew each other as kids growing up in this small town of Alaska, a few years of age can mean a mountain as young kids. But as their paths cross again back in their home town they are both instantly drawn to each other. The never dreamt that in a blink of an eye they would be seeing so much of one another. Is it fate or did they have a little help from some friends?
Neither was looking for a relationship. With Tiffany's past she was determined not to even try again. Sure she wants all her friends and family to find love and happiness she just doesn't think it is for her. Wes has himself so busy with hotshot firefighting and helping his mom at the shelter with the animals, there is no time for relationships too.
When they each get news of a tragic loss, they have some decisions to make pretty quickly. Both are the right type of person as they both agree to take on the task and do everything they can together for Ross. A little boy lost and he needs all the love he can get.
Grab your favorite drink and snuggle up for this read.

Let me start off by saying, I think this is my favorite book by J.H. Croix. I signed up for this book because it could be read as a standalone, but it really just made me want to go back and read the rest of the series (they're all interconnected).
I really liked Wes in this book. He's patient, kind, and the fact that he'll take care of a little boy at the drop of a hat? 😍 And I probably resonated with Tiffany a little too much (not for the same reasons that she couldn't trust easily, but still). And that's probably why I loved this book so much. She reminded me of myself, and Wes reminded me of Derek.
This was a really solid read (and quick too). I'm looking forward to eventually reading the rest of the series (you all know how that goes when you keep adding books to your TBR 😜). I rounded up to four, but it's like a 3.5. I think if I'd had read the other books in the series first, it would have a higher rating from me.
The loss of their friends brings them together, yet neither knows they need the other. Willow Bank is a small Alaska town, and no one is a stranger. Wes has returned home to help his mother and join the hotshot crew based there. Tiffany has recently returned home and works at the Vet clinic.
They work together to be the guardians of Ross, the son left behind. Another hard-to-put-down story in this series.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
I enjoyed Tiffany and Wes' story. I thought it would be overly sad because of the premise of it. Tiffany and Wes are chosen as grandparents to their best friends' kid. And unexpectedly they had to take on that role when Ross was put under their guardianship. They already have an attraction for one another and being in each other's presence constantly is going to make it hard to resist it. Honestly, I don't feel that much connection between them. It's just that it felt too insta-attraction and unrealistic. I skimmed through the pages a little bit. I think this is a decent read but the previous books are better.
J.H. Croix does it again- she whips me off to a tiny town in Alaska, immerses me in an emotional, sexy and heartwarming story that has me craving more!
All It Takes is the 7th book in her Light My Fire series- as all of the stories in this series, Wes and Tiffany's story can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone. But I do think that it is best enjoyed when read with the other books in the series as it is a small town and so many of the characters are interconnected. At the very least I do suggest reading Keep Me Close, book 5 in the series, as that story centers around Tiffany's brother Chase- and a lot of things from his story crossover/relate to Tiffany's.
This story broke my heart while simultaneously making it swoon- the entire premise was heartbreaking to think of but all the little moments, details and emotions pieced me back together. Wes was undeniably swoon worthy. This hot shot firefighter running his moms animal shelter while still being somewhat nerdy- ooh every bit of him was like catnip for me. Tiffany might have no interest in finding her own HEA after a slightly traumatic childhood and being burned by her one attempt into love but even she couldn't resist the charm of Wes for too long.
This story is emotional- no way around it- but it is also pretty low on the angst and drama. Everyone can plainly see what these two are in denial over- but given the circumstances that had these two suddenly thrust together no one really pushes the issue too much. Despite both growing up in the same small town, Wes and Tiffany seemed to not really know too much about each other- but they have this instant spark of attraction and their personalities really seem to mesh well together. Things kind of move at a staccato pace- where there are bursts of heat and breakthroughs swiftly followed by polite coldness- which has a lot to do with the baggage Tiffany carries on her heart.
The epilogue left me in tears- happy ones! I can't wait to see what more will come out of Willow Brook!
This is book seven in The Light My Fire Series and it is Tiffany and Wes story and it is definitely a must read. Wes has returned to Willow Bank his hometown to help his mom who has had surgery with her animal shelter and he also has taken a position as a firefighter with the hotshot crew so his life was really hectic at the moment leaving him little time for anything else. Tiffany has returned to her hometown so that she is closer to her family and she is the office manager at the vets clinic that is run by her best friend. When Tiffany and Wes friends are killed in a car accident they become guardians in the will because they were both godparents to Ross so now Tiffany and Wes will have to join forces and work together even though they are both grieving for the loss of there friends but they are both determined to give Ross love, kindness and also give him the best life that they can by making him feel protected, safe and supported regardless of the situation that they all find themselves in. The attraction and chemistry between Tiffany and Wes is so strong and intense and it sizzles all around them when ever they are near each other and even though they are so perfect together and for each other there is baggage, trust issues and situations that have you wondering if they will ever be able to communicate to each other about how they feel and realise what is right in front of them that everyone else can see and then add in Ross who is such a sweet, cute and lovable boy and for me he completely stole the show and omg what a outcome. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions along with great characters and a storyline that pulls you in and had you turning the pages because it was so addictive and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.
Wes is a hotshot firefighter in Willow Brook, Alaska. He also is helping his mother with the animal shelter that she runs. Wes’ mother is having double knee replacements. Wes is at the shelter when Tiffany comes in with her boss and friend Alice. Tiffany works at the animal hospital in Willow Brook. Tiffany and Wes knew each other in passing when they were in school. Both have come back to Willow Brook. Tiffany’s brother Chase is a hotshot and works with Wes. Tiffany’s mother was not a good mother, she had affairs and she treated Tiffany as competition. When Tiffany was living in Seattle she had a male friend who she had been having a friends with benefits relationship. Scott wanted to be exclusive and Tiffany agreed. Tiffany had a medical issue which required surgery and Scott ghosted her. She later found out that Scott had many friends with benefits relationships going on. Tiffany has a reason for not trusting in a relationship. One day a woman showed up at Wes’ house with an 8 year old boy named Ross. Apparently Wes as named as godparent for Wes by his best friend George. Tiffany was best friends with Sarah and was named as a godparent for Ross also. Wes and Tiffany are finding their way as guardians for Ross. There is a very strong chemistry between Wes and Tiffany. Tiffany has built a strong wall around her heart and Wes is trying to chip away at it. Wes and Tiffany are doing the best they can for Ross. They were told by the social worker that it might be best if one of them adopted Ross. Will Tiffany ever get to trust Wes? Will Wes realize that he loves Tiffany? Will Tiffany admit that she loves Wes? Will Ross thrive with Wes and Tiffany? Will Wes, Tiffany and Ross become a family? Will Wes and Tiffany find love and happiness? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book via Bad Boy Update.
Book seven in the Light My Fire series of interconnected standalones can definitely be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. Wes returned home to Willow Brook, Alaska to help his mom. He was able to get a position with one of the hot shot crews and still be there to help his mom recover from surgery and assist her with her animal shelter. Tiffany recently returned home to Willow Brook and is the office manager for a vet practice run by her friend Alice. It turns out they are both godparents of a little boy who comes to them after his parents are lost in a car accident. They become co-guardians of the cutest little boy ever, named Ross. Though Tiffany and Wes knew each other in high school, they are just now getting to know each other and they both like what they find. Thrown together to help Ross, they find sparks flying between them. There are steamy moments as they give into the physical attraction. The emotional connection takes a little longer. Tiffany, in particular, has some baggage she needs to put behind her to get to her HEA. Wes is constant and open with his emotions, leading to the HEA they and Ross need. This was an enjoyable read. The small-town dynamics, the dangers of Wes’ job, and the emotional baggage Tiffany must sort through keep the story interesting. Ross is the best. I fell in love with that kid, who is so much older than his years. I love some of the Alaskan references, like to dip netting, that are completely accurate. It made me a little homesick. This was a wonderful addition to the series. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.
I'm so freaking happy to restart reading this author's book. I'm not gonna say that I've read all of her books because I haven't. I had read a few, but stopped reading them because life got in the way, not because the books weren't good. Because they were and they are. Once I restarted, all hell broke loose. Lol JH Croix has this amazing and sweet writing that will hook you up in a sec. Trust me. All It Takes is her latest release and it's the seventh book from The Light My Fire series. This book explores the lives of Wes and Tiffany. These two knew each other when they were kids. But life got in the way and they lost track of each other. Now, Wes is back in town to help his mom and Tiffany is back too so they reunited again. Things happened and... I have no words right now... This book stole them. I knew that it was going to be an intense story but Dayum... It was so much more. These two together are explosive and the circumstances that put them together... Loved the fact that Wes hadn't forgotten about her. The spark was still there and oh boy. These two are perfect for each other and you'll see how much. I haven't read this entire series, but after this book, I know that I need to. I want to. How can I say more without spoiling? I can't so I'm going to wrap this review up. It was another amazing book that left me speechless and wanting more. JH Croix you are on fire and I can't get enough of your books. Loved this one so much and when I get a break, I'm gonna devour the entire series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I love my visits to Willow Brook and Tiffany and Wes’s is a wonderful addition to the Light My Fire Series. If you love small town romances please make sure you check out All it Takes and the previous books in this series. Tiffany and Wes have both returned to their home town, she is working as the office manager in the veterinary clinic that Wes’s mum runs and he has joined the hotshot fire Service. They knew each other as children but they have never lived in the same town as adults and from the moment they meet up sparks fly, the attraction is instant and the chemistry is sizzling but when they find out their best friends have passed away they also share grief. The tragic loss of their friends leave them co guardians of eight year old Ross so they need to be strong for him and as they spend time together building a new life for a little boy who doesn’t really know them, feelings come into play. So can there be light after darkness for Tiffany, Wes and Ross………. This has me riding an emotional roller coaster, it broke my heart as I got to know the adorable Ross and i shed some tears as i watched two adults doing their best while dealing with their own grief but there was also light at the end of the tunnel because children are resilient and this little boy brings out the best in this couple. This book is full of love, it’s heartbreaking and emotional but it’s also entertaining, Tiffany abd Wes are easy to love but it’s Ross who at times steals the show in this wonderful read.
Having read most of the other installments in this series i've been looking so forward to more! As soon as this seventh book was announced i wanted to pick it up! I got right back into the Light My Fire world! I so enjoyed this story!
Wes and Tiffany's journey captured my attention quickly! Wes and Tiffany knew each other when they were younger. As Tiffany has moved back to town she reunites with Wes. These two are attracted to one another, but will they give in with everything in their lives?
Both Wes and Tiffany got me right into this story. I really liked how their story was different and getting to see how it'd all play out for these two. They had such good chemistry between them! I found myself relating to both Wes and Tiffany throughout. There was such realness and caring to these two. From the moments that got me right in the chest with feels to the ones that got me into the story even more, I so enjoyed it!
It was awesome being back in the Light My Fire world! I can always picture this setting in my mind. I so enjoyed what the other characters brought to the story as well!
With All It Takes, Ms.Croix has created such a good read that you and heart will get right into! Be sure to check this series out! I am so looking forward to diving back into it with the eighth installment, Take Me Now!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
All It Takes is the 7th book in the Light My Fire series and it is a standalone, but is better if read with the other books in the series because of interconnected characters. Wes and Tiffany knew each other from growing up in a small town and Wes always had a crush on her. He's a hotshot firefighter and works with Tiffany's brother, Chase. His mother runs the animal shelter but is having knee surgery so he is helping her out as she recovers. Tiffany has just returned to Willow Brook, Alaska after a disastrous "romance" that broke her heart and she works at the Animal Hospital in town. Tiffany and Wes had best friends in common, Sarah and George, and when they are killed in an accident, they find that they've been named as godparents to their young son, Ross. Their forced proximity has them working together to do their best for Ross, but it also is giving them a chance to see if they have a chance at love. The only thing that was a little difficult to take was the constant pushback by Tiffany as Wes tries to break down her walls, but she's so affected by the trauma of her ex and her mother that it feels like she's not giving him a fair chance. Regardless, it's a very good book and I fell in love with the characters. The epilogue was priceless and left me with a smile on my face. I received a copy from Bad Boy Update and this is my volunary review.
In the past, I’ve kind of enjoyed one of this author’s books and really enjoyed another, so diving in, I felt like this would be the tiebreaker. Unfortunately, I’m still ambivalent. I liked both main characters and connected with them easily. But while I could understand Tiffany’s reluctance to be in another serious relationship, it felt like she kept circling the same things without figuring anything out, even while moving into a relationship with Wes. And her past was something she continually used to justify her lack of emotional growth. Yes, there was a lot of hurt in her past, but despite having issues with one parent, she had a great role model in the other. I guess I couldn’t understand why there wasn’t some talk with the parent she did look up to in order to help guide her through her issues. With all that said, I think if there were some further developmental edits to the story, it would be at least a 4-star, if not a 5-star read. The story's bones had so much potential that never seemed to materialize for me. Perhaps I subconsciously set a high bar because I’m also an editor.
Despite it all, this wasn’t a bad story, and it wasn’t even one I couldn’t finish. It was entertaining, for sure. So try it for yourself. You might disagree with me and love it.
I’d like to add, in case the author reads this review, that I love her covers. They keep pulling me back.
Another awesome book from J.H. Croix. I can't imagine what it would be like to hear that your best friend and their spouse died in an accident and that you are now co-guardian of their young son. You are the godparents of this child and you never thought you would have to do anything. Because of where everyone lived you didn't see each other but talked or texted frequently. It just so happens that the other guardian has also moved back to your hometown. You both have an instant attraction to each other, but are trying to keep it in check for the sake of the child. It doesn't work and you end up acting on this attraction. Because of her past relationships with her mother and college boyfriend, she has great trust issues. He is a hotshot firefighter and they need to be able to get along since they are co-parenting the child who has basically lost everything when his parents died and is uprooted from everything he knows. Will they be able to make things work and will he be able to push through her trust issues to make her see that he is in this for the long haul, not just a fling?
5 star Review All It Takes (Haven’s Bay Holiday Series) by J.H. Croix
It was great to be back in Willow Brook, Alaska and this time it is Tiffany and Wes’s story and what an emotional read it was. I enjoy stories set in small towns and I have come to really love this series.
Tiffany has returned to her home town and is now the office manager at the veterinary clinic run by Wes’s mother while Wes has returned to be a firefighter. In fact they went to school together and now they are both in the same place at the same time and there is an attraction that is sizzling between the two of them.
From the first to the last chapter I was drawn into the story that J.H. Croix wove. When tragedy brings them together after the death of their friends to be co guardians of 8 year old Ross, I was in tears; it was heartbreaking.
As they struggle with their grief, both are focused on supporting Ross and as Tiffany has trust issues it seems that there is no chance of a relationship other than friends. However Wes is determined to prove to Tiffany that he can be counted on and that he is invested in a relationship with her.
Will Tiffany take a chance and in doing so find the love and happiness she has been longing for? One click and find out.
All It Takes is a beautifully written and an emotional romance that sees two people brought together through a tragedy that breaks your heart. Ms. Croix delivers the story of Tiffany and Wes, two small-town people who lost two friends but in the process have gained two things, a sweet little boy and possibly a romance that they never expected. They are both instantly attracted to one another but Tiffany's history with men and her relationship with her mother has walls that surround her heart and are almost impossible to penetrate. Will Wes's determination and the fact that the two of them have to care for a little boy, Ross, have Tiff letting the walls come down? Trust is a big thing for Tiffany and it is very hard for her to put trust into another person let alone a relationship but she sees that Wes is a man of his word and actions. Co-parenting is a hard job but when there are two people who are attracted to each other it can be something that brings about happiness.
I highly recommend adding All It Takes to your TBR list and making sure you have a lot of time to read it because it is one book that you just might not want to put down.
What would you do if you were suddenly one of two gaurdians of a child?
I liked this one. Life can give you unexpected things, and this story inspires to flow with them and accept what life offers.
Tiffany has a history that makes it hard to trust others with her heart.
Wes has recently moved back to Willow Brook to be a hotshot firefighter there and help his mom run the animal rescue shelter since she had surgery on both legs.
They find themselves the gaurdians of Ross. Each of Ross's parents was friends with one of them. Each of them finds room for Ross in their lives, and they try to work together to help Ross.
Wes is not looking for a relationship, and Tiffany doesn't believe relationships work for her, but they have chemistry and one kiss starts something neither of them expect.
This is a sweet romance where the complications that arise come from Tiffany's past. The story is a nice one that shows you family can be made of anyone and is worth the work it takes to come together.
All It Takes is a small town romance filled with crazy amounts of emotion that had me all up in my feels. Wes has come home to help his mother out with her animal shelter with an added kicker of joining the firehouse there. Tiffany has come home to be closer to her family, and she's also working with her best friend at an animal clinic. Little did either of them know what fate had in store for them starting with tragedy, and becoming the guardian to a little boy (Ross) together, and my eyes leaked more than once throughout this story. As these two try to do their best for Ross who just lost his parents, they start spending a lot of time together of course. These two are perfect for each other, and yet, it's not an easy road with everything going on, and the emotional baggage brought in, so they're really not communicating very well. I was fully invested with these three so I felt everything they felt, and cheered for them the whole way through. To see if they got an happily ever after, you'll have to hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Out of a tragic incident both Wes and Tiffany find each other in the midst of all the chaos with a responsibility both are willing to take on head first. These two knew each other from H.S. but never engaged, now years later they are united through heartbreak and come together to make the best out of situation neither of them ever expected. And during the process they discover an attraction that can’t be denied. But Tiffany has her issues with trust and men and the closer she gets to Wes, the more her past sneaks up on her….can they make it work. A great read that is sigh and swoon worthy, with steam, heartache, loss, adorable dogs and amazing characters. Wes was swoon worthy, kind, patient, loving and all around a great guy….book boyfriend worthy. Tiffany was a bit stubborn, but had a heart of gold and would do anything for her friends. I loved the little to no drama, no miscommunication or other women coming between them. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

All It Takes by JH Croix is thr 7th book in her Light My Fire series.
Wes & Tiffany 💙💜
Hot Nerdy Firefighter/ Sassy & Guarded FMC
This book put me through all the feels. Nothing in life is guaranteed. And tomorrow is not promised. When the unexpected happens, Wes and Tiffany are thrust together with a common goal. To become guardians to Ross, an 8 year old little boy. Finding themselves in New territory. A crush resurfacing. Dealing with feelings. Trying to do the right thing. And what's best for Ross.
I loved reading this book. I loved that their was no hesitation. They both jumped right in to be there for Ross. I loved Wes' determination. And how he wasn't afraid to tell Tiffany he loved her. And although guarded and as frustrating as I found her at times I respected the fact that she just wanted to put Ross first. Over all it was a pretty great read and I look forward to reading more from JH Croix as she was a new to me author!
I'm so grad that all books I read after the new year are very good and enjoyable to read but Wes is the most swoon-worthy one if I have to choose.
Wes and Tiffany's story is a combination of angst and sweetness. The book is well written and I feel engaged by it from the beginning through the end. I think Wes had a crush on Tiffany when they were in high school but Wes was a nerd so he thought Tiffany was out of his league. Now he is one of hot shot firefighters and Tiffany is back in town. They meet again when Tiffany's friend and boss needs a dog and Wes's mother owns a dog shelter. What is different in this book is Tiffany is the one who has an issue so all angsty feelings most come from her part. Wes is sweet and understands Tiffany better than herself. Tiffany is a good woman but Wes helps make her complete. Their friends are also loveable. I really love J.H. Croix's small town romance because it gives me heartwarming feeling. This book is the 7th book in the series and I still get hooked by it that would tell you soemthing, right ;)
Tiffany moved back to her home town and was office manager in the town's vet clinic. Wes was a hotshot firefighter who has always had a crush on Tiffany since they were in school together but always thought she was out of his league. Due to a terrible tragedy they are thrown together and need to work together to care for a friends child. Their feelings for one another start to change and then grow serious due to all the time they spend together. Tiffany had a very difficult childhood and really tries to ignore the feeling she starts to have for Wes. Wes will have his hands full trying to convince her to give them a chance at a real relationship.
These are great characters and you find yourself hoping they can work through their problems. This story is heartwarming and romantic. It was great to hear about the past couples. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed; all opinions expressed are my own.
When it comes to small town romance J.H. Croix does it with perfection! I absolutely loved With Every Breathe, so I immediately signed up for All It Takes & loved it. The main characters, side characters, setting & story were all written excellently. I was just completely smitten w/Wes, right f/the start. Him & Tiffany knew each other since high school, & were unexpectedly granted guardianship of their best friends 8yr old son when they died in a car accident. There’s a definite connection between these 2, & Wes is all in, he’s been attracted to Tiffany since high school but always felt she was out of his league. Tiffany however is afraid of trusting people. She carries the weight of her parents failed marriage because of her mother & how her mother treated her has affected her relationships w/people. She wants to be w/Wes, but she’s also afraid he’ll break her heart. It’s not until an accident happens that makes her realize what she needs to do.
Wes is a hotshot firefighter in the small Alaska town he grew up in. He is also helping his mom out with the animal shelter she runs.
Tiffany recently moved back to her hometown to manage the local very clinic for her friend, who is the new vet. When she goes with her friend to choose a new dog from the shelter, she runs into Wes. Tiffany and Wes went to school together but were a few years apart. The sparks fly between them.
A few days later, Tiffany is shocked when she receives a call telling her that her best friend and her husband were killed in a car wreck, leaving their son an orphan. Tiffany is named as one the guardians of the young boy. Imagine her surprise when she shows up at the attorney's office and finds out that Wes is the other person named as guardian. The two age to work together to raise Ross.
As the two spend more time together, their feelings grow but will they take the risk and act on them?
It is so much fun to read another of Croix's books centered on the Hotshot firefighters stationed in Willow Brook, Alaska. We now know the intimate love stories of half the town and know their parents, too. That includes Tiffany's family of her brother, Chase, and her father.
Tiffany has recently moved back to town and gone to work for the veterinarian, Alice, and met Wes who was a coup[e grades ahead of her. They are immediately attracted to each other. The teenage nerd, Wes, has turned into a hotshot firefighter on the same team as her brother Chase. Next, a social worker comes up from Anchorage and tells her her best friend Sarah has died and left her 8-year-old son, Ross, to her with shared guardianship with Wes, best friend of Ross's father, who died in the same accident. Too bad Tiffany has severe trust issues and does not plan to get involved in a relationship! But with the backing of all the characters we know so well, this story eventually gets to its happy ending.
Tiffany and Wes were in high school together, but not close friends. Wes remembers Tiffany beautiful and way out of his league. Tiffany remembers Wed nerdy and nice. When they are both back in town and meet again, their chemistry is instant combustible. Their respective best friends died and willed their son Ross to their joint guardianship. Ross is their priority, but they can’t ignore their mutual attraction. Wes is all in. But Tiffany’s past doesn’t make her trust easily. Tiffany struggles with her relationship with her mother and the betrayal from her recent relationship. I shed a few tears for her. There is never a physically violent villain in J.H. Croix’s stories, but psychological damage can do just as much harm. The story is touching and sensitive. I love the friends and families around to help and support. All we need from anyone is love. I love this story.
With All It Takes, Ms. Croix has once again written a deeply moving, heart-wrenching romance novel. Both protagonists, Wes and Tiffany, feel very authentic in their ways of thinking and the chaos of emotions, and especially Tiffany's insecurities and self-doubt I could relate to very well. Their story begins with an emotional low blow that affected me greatly and made me think ... Their chemistry, on the other hand, is out of this world and I could feel it sizzling around the corners of my e-reader ... I love Ms. Croix's small town novels, the closeness within families no matter what, the circle of friends who stick to one another through thick and thin, and her down-to-earth, true-to-life protagonists. In short, this book is another emotional roller coaster, with characters that seem to be taken straight from life. A real page-turner that you can hardly put down.
I would usually think that once the seventh book in a series releases it might be a case of rinse & repeat, but this is the furthest from the truth. Each book in this series definitely does read as standalone’s but characters from previous books do pop up but I don’t think it affects the overall story at all if you haven’t read the first six books. I absolutely adored Wes & Tiffany as a couple. They experience some unusual and confronting circumstances both individually and as a couple, but the way JH Croix showed their very real human sides made this all the more realistic to read. Their whole story has so many ups and downs but it honestly made for some emotional reading. I loved every bit of this book, and after finishing this one I am even more of a fan of this wonderful author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book
