He was a Bastard in more ways than one, but meeting his soulmate was the last thing that he ever expected!
For Castor Blood, leading the Special Investigations Group (SIG) was a highly dangerous and necessary position. What he did, though bloody, saved lives in the supernatural community! And he was exceptionally good at it. Fighting against the most organized and lethal foe he had faced in centuries should be taking up his whole focus.
Instead, he found himself burdened with a young, headstrong, soulmate!
In spite of her bloodline, Katja Frost was human, meaning that she neither felt the bond nor accepted him as her mate. To top it off, she willfully insisted on her independence and refused to obey his orders! All making this unwanted situation more dangerous.
Distractions result in death - and Kitty's very existence was a distraction to him!
But what could he do? His Kitten called to him like nothing else ever had. Made him want to please a woman, instead of just taking. Made him desire to be something more than the Small Council's ruthless bastard weapon.
Would he be able to defend the vampire community against the hunter scourge and still keep her safe?
Or, had Fate set him up to finally fail?

Ever since I introduced Castor Blood in Book 3, he has been one of my most favorite characters. He’s supremely complex, and I have genuinely enjoyed learning about the various aspects of his personality that make him so.
In fact, and as the author, I probably shouldn’t say it, but I believe that Forever Blood: A Dark Paranormal Vampire Romance (Vampiris Bloodline - A Paranormal Vampire Romance Series Book 5) might be the best book of the series to date.
Castor has come a long way since Book 3, where he was introduced as supremely arrogant, dark, and dangerous. And at least where Katja was concerned a little bit of a stalker! Those things have not changed, though through lessons learned he is a little less arrogant I believe.
Throughout Books 3 and 4, the reader has learned that due to the circumstances of his birth and early childhood trauma, he has never really felt like he belonged to the Tsoukalous family; and no matter how much Nichola has done for him, his personal feelings have always made him feel like he was always on the outside looking in. Like he always needed to prove something. Frankly, he is a little damaged.
His friendship with Zachary and Devin Sutton and their connection, however tenuous through the bloodline, changed much of that and have given him a sense of belonging. A true sense of family that had been lacking in his life but one that he had secretly desired.
The reader finds out here in Book 5 that for someone who never felt like they belonged, that sense of belonging and interaction with family can be confusing and irritating. But it can bring out the best qualities in our sense of self.
Castor’s full realization that Katja Frost is his mate in Book 4 is frightening and bewildering for him, but it isn’t until Book 5 that we realize how unprepared he is for both living with and dealing with a soulmate. Especially one of Katja’s generation.
Of course, Katja, our twenty-first century untransitioned vampire heroine, is in no way tolerant of Castor’s high-handed eighteenth-century attitude. Even though she quickly realizes that there is no getting rid of him because of the mate bond, she still doesn’t allow him to direct her actions without a fight.
Both of the main characters are thrown together due to the vampire mate bond that neither one, for assorted reasons, wants. But there is just no stopping Fate! Fight her you might, but Fate always wins.
A little bit about the book itself: Book 5 is a slow-burn romance that ends in a HEA, and there is no cheating. There are some dark threads throughout the book (it is a paranormal vampire romance after all and that is part of the genre), so you will find some coarse language, explicit violence, and some mature sexual content that does include some mild discipline and bondage.
So, to you, my readers, who I appreciate so much, thanks for reading Forever Blood: A Dark Paranormal Vampire Romance (Vampiris Bloodline - A Paranormal Vampire Romance Series Book 5)!

My emotions were whiplashed when it came to Castor. One minute he’s sweet and thoughtful and I really like him. Then he turns around and starts barking orders at Katja like he’s king of the hill or something and all of my affection flies out the window. I was disgusted at one particular lie and how he sexually abused her. I admit he got better towards the end but it took a shitload of bad stuff happening to bring him around.
Poor Zachary. I hope he finds his chosen soon. Apparently Pippin wasn’t the one.
My memory sucks. I don’t remember the particulars between Cassie, Fred and Dene (I think he’s the third in their ménage à trois) I remember when Fred’s bond (or whatever it's called) was broken when the man who “owned” him died and Fred was then “given” to another man. Absolutely no romance involved there.
Where to start……… well I totally love this series and this author! This book was definitely a 10 * for me. Vampires are complicated creatures in the first place but Castor he is the ultimate. Yes his book was complicated but wow you had all the cool feels. I mean this one took me all over the place in a good way….. yeah like I didn’t want it to end and then when it did I was like okay but really this book is the best one yet and believe me that’s saying a lot because this whole series is like the best for me. Lol, VP has it down pat and that’s no joke people! I can’t say it enough if you love the paranormal get on this series! This series is the bomb diggity!
Huzzah! Definitely addicted to this series! Luckily, when I enjoy a series so much I become loyally committed. Also, adding the new factions not previously mentioned, really helped round out the story. Seeing Castor Blood evolve from start to finish was great! Will continue to gobble up any new books, so please keep writing and I’ll keep buying. 😚😉👍🏽 For those just starting this series, “Great Read” but best if you read in order. Highly recommended!!
(Thank you again for interjecting some adventure into the mundane that is everyday life. 🥱Pre-ordering the next one. 🤗)
