Get swept away in the latest scorching Anna Castor series with all new characters: Blazing Islands. College graduate Adela crawls over the beach of a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean after a horrific storm shipwrecked their rented catamaran for a weekend getaway with friends.
Out of the five girls on board, only Adela and Camilla wash up at the deceivingly beautiful pearly white beach with the coconut trees. They trek across the island in search of Raven, Liv and Hailey, hoping that their friends are lying on a daybed with a Mai Tai in their hand, wondering what took them this long to get there.
Unfortunately, after trekking through the jungle for a full day, they don't find their friends. But what they do find will change their lives indefinitely. Wildland firefighter Jack shouldn't be sitting in a cramped life raft at his friend's bachelor party. After a brutal storm that sunk their boat to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, Jack and his five friends are adrift until they see a massive fire on a beach and they finally find land!
But that's not all they find...
There's an instant attraction between Jack and Adela, but surviving the island comes first. Realization slowly sinks in that they will not be rescued any time soon. In their search for Adela's friends, the mighty force of nature strikes once again in a potentially catastrophic way.
This action & adventure romance story is about letting go of the past, forgiveness, and finding inner strength not only to survive the island but also to surrender yourself to love.

First of all... the cover is amazing! That picture accurately depicts the sexual tension between Adela and Jack.
Adela, Jack, and their friends all end up on a deserted island due to bad weather. Thankfully nobody is seriously hurt- but three of Adela's friends are missing. As Jack and Adela grow closer (and man, do they ever!), they continue to search for her friends. This story had such heartwarming moments in between the pain and confusion felt by being stuck on an island.
safety: virgin heroine no OM/OW no cheating/sharing safe HEA ♡

Wrecked is the first installment in the Blazing Islands series by Anna Castor. This romance novel is exciting, fast-paced, and full of steam.
Adela Martinez is a shy, quiet, and intelligent young woman that recently graduated college. She plans a sailing adventure with her 4 best girlfriends off the coast of Honolulu. A terrible storm hits while on the water and the boat overturns. Adela awakens to find one friend, Camilla, alive but there is no sighting of Raven, Liv, or Hailey. Jack Tullen is handsome, bold, and outgoing mid-30’s guy that fights fires in the wild lands of California. He gathers with his 5 best friends for a weekend bachelors trip before one is set to marry in a week. They are caught in the same storm and end up floating on an inflatable raft until they come across a small deserted island. All six friends are accounted for; Jack, Rodrigo, Dominic, Reed, Zane, and Gabriel.
Adela and Camilla get to work searching for their friends and luckily stumble across a fresh water source. As the girls setup camp for the night and finally get a fire lit, the 6 guys approach and convince them they should work together. There is an instant attraction between Adela and Jack. He’s intrigued by her innocence, beauty, and sass. Jack is a player and always has been. Adela is the innocent and naive shy girl that is a virgin. Jack wants nothing more than to lose himself in Adela but knows survival is of the utmost importance and fights the chemistry. Sweet little Adela is obviously attracted to Jack but believes he is out of her league and would never be interested in a boring girl with a tragic past like herself.
Surprisingly, Jack and Adela share more in common than they initially realize. Jack lost his family in a tragic accident that still haunts him to this day. Adela was heavily sheltered during her childhood and her mother passed away not long ago. Her dad, the only living relative she had left, departed Honolulu and left her behind. Both have past traumas and similar stories of grief.
Jack is unable to resist the pull to Adela and does come on a bit too fast and strong. He has to dial his behavior back and go slow with Adela so he doesn’t overwhelm her. Adela finally lets go and allows herself to be free to express her connection with Jack. I thought Jack was super sweet with Adela and he never put any pressure on her. He made sure that she knew this wasn’t “until we leave the island” but a long-term relationship he wanted to pursue. The steamy scenes were *chefs kiss* and I’m excited to read about the rest of the guys and gals!
An overall entertaining read. Some strong moments and some ok ones. The book kept alluding to things about the H and several of the supporting Hs but didn’t answer it here. It is a series so I imagine it will be answered in one of the other books. The only thing is that then this couple won’t be in the spotlight when it’s answered.
The book ended abruptly but again, it is probably due to being part of a series. I think it’s always unfair to the current main couple when that happens in a series.
I put this down a couple of times before it hooked me. I am curious about the rest of series. The book does a good job introducing the supporting cast so it will be easy to pick up the next one when it comes out.
This was definitely an interesting read! I know we’ve all had that dream of being stuck on a deserted island with a sexy man. Well this is exactly what this book is about!
Two sets of friends rent a boat for a weekend getaway. The girls are celebrating their graduating college && the guys are celebrating a bachelor party when a storm come out of nowhere && sinks both boats. The girls end up separated && the guys end up together on a life raft before they find the island. When they find each other, some end up coupling up while trying to survive the island && waiting to hopefully be rescued…
I enjoyed this book. It was a nice change from the usual plots! I hope I get more in book 2. This is my first book from this author && not my last! If you haven’t read this book yet, you definitely should give it a try.

As an admitted fan of the author, Anna Castor, I was looking forward to reading this story in her newest series. This series will focus around two groups of people, 6 men and 5 women, who are shipwrecked during a storm and end up on what appears to be a deserted tropical island. This first book in the series is based on Jack and Adela (Adi). Jack is a firefighter and Adela is a recent college graduate who grew up on the water traveling the world with her parents. Thrown into a situation of survival and trying to find others in their group, these two find they have instant chemistry and fall in love. We learn each of their backstories and that they each operate in protector mode for their friends and others. The author leaves us with the ground work for future books as these groups merge with the need of survival on this tropical island, as well as hope of being rescued and returning to their lives in LA.

So, what happens when a group of women on a catamaran are caught in a storm, and the boat is hit by lightning? Two of them wash up on a beach. Three are missing. Their fire draws in the lifeboat holding six similarly marooned men. This book focuses on the instant attraction between Jack, a firefighter, and Adela, a virgin new college grad with lots of sailing experience. They have both suffered terrible losses in life and need comfort, which they find in each other. He initiates her into sexual pleasure in the best way. She tames his restlessness.
I was bothered by the lack of practical details, especially footwear, sunburn and food! They do get to these things eventually, but not immediately. Other connections and searches begin. This is the first of a series, but the first couple is happy. The writing is good, as is the sex, but lacks environmental detail. I received an ARC via BookSirens and left this review voluntarily.
Jack on a bachelors holiday with his friends - Rodriguez, Dom, Reed, Gabriel and Zane find them self's stranded on an island after a storm. Adela and her friends Camile, Raven lived and Hailey also get caught in the storm but only 2 of them are together. When the two groups join forces for survival, Adela and Jack have sparks flying right away, but survival is their main goal, to find her friends and get back home, butbwhose to say they can't dip into their desires for each other to. Well written book 1 in the series that captivates and holds your attention through out.

Rating 4.5 stars. Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. All I can say is I'm upset the story wasn't longer and I wish book 2 was already out cos I need to know what happens next! The story was fast paced with a good mix of excitement, emotion and steam. Book 1 focuses mainly on Jack and Adela finding their HFN but their story still feels unfinished and the main story arc is still ongoing so it does end on a cliffhanger. Will definitely be grabbing book 2 when it's out, although that seems to be focused on Dominic and Camilla.
Two seperate parties 5 women and 6 men bith end up shipwrecked on the same island. They have to learn to work together to survive. This is going to be an interesting g series. The first book is about Jack a firefighter and Adela a college graduate. There is chemistry between these two from the start. Read along to find our what adventures each get into.

I love a survival romance, especially on a deserted island. However, I could not really care about any of these characters. The survival element only seemed present when convenient to the plot. All the male characters seemed like dogs. All them had one thing on the brain it seemed and survival wasn't it. I had to roll my eyes several times, especially at the insta-love (which I normally don't mind in a novella). But she was *special* so of course he didn't want to share her with his friends or look at other girls.

I liked this book a lot more than I expected to going in. The book just immediately jumps into the protagonists conflict. There’s no long and unnecessary time before we get to the issue at hand. I was kind of hoping for a resolution by the end of the story, but realized that wasn’t going to happen halfway through. I just think Ana Castor wants to do books on all the couples before we get a resolution. It’s really good for a light and quick read and I think you should read it.
Really enjoying the start of this new series. The characters we have been introduced to are relative and interesting and seem to have good chemestry. Lookinv forward to book 2.
Well this book was good but to many characters to keep up with but I liked the storyline and it flows well throughout the book. It's an insta love story.I this book had me enthralled from the beginning until the end .now I need Nook 2.

Adela, Jack, and their friends end up on a deserted island as a result of some bad weather. There is an instant attraction between them and they grow closer as the story progresses. This romance is exciting, fast-paced, and full of steam, so I recommend.
This book was good and engaging, but I was expecting more after reading the blurb. But I’m now invested in this group and will more than likely continue the series.
A bad tropical storm caused chaos in the Pacific and caused two groups of friends to capsize. One group remained together while the other was separated. And this is how Jack and his friends find Adela and Camilla on a beach with a fire at nightfall. And decide to work together.
But there are still three girls missing and no way off the island. So the group splits up to try to find them and build a shelter for them. And Adela and Jack get close. But when Adela decides to look on her own, Jack worries he’s lost her forever.
Jack and Adela get their happy for now ending in this sort-of stand-alone book in a series.
I liked that both groups started working together so smoothly after their first suspicions to make sure they survived. From the blurb, I expected more on-page death rather than past deaths. Still could be traumatic, but not as gruesome as I was expecting. I also thought there would be more on-page sexy times, or that they would be hotter, but I felt they were pretty tame for how big Jack and his friends were talking.

This exciting story drew me in and held me captive as I read it. One was with friends on a bachelor's getaway while Adela and Camilla wash up on land and are in search for their friends. There is an instant attraction between Jack and Adela, but their first concern is their friends. This is the first book and this one does not disappoint. It kept me intrigued with the characters and the action and drama surrounding them. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

This was the first part of a 6 part series. Each book is supposed to focus on a different set of characters, and have a conclusion within the confines of that book, while the series has an overall arcing mystery regarding what happened to the girls that they have been unable to locate yet. Jake and Anna were the primary focus of this book, although the other members received attention too.
The scene and character development in this novel was impressive. I happened to let my kindle read the story to me so was able to close my eyes and actually visualize the island they were castaway on. Providing the map up front was a nice touch to help with this process too. Not only was the setting phenomenal, but the feelings of helplessness, isolation, guilt, responsibility, pressure, and many more along those lines were palpable from the characters. Anna, in particular, struggled with carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. The way the others rallied to support her and encourage her to give herself a break really took her completely by suprise.
I enjoyed the way Castor wove Jake and Anna's relationship together as they worked to make a home on the island. She created opportunities for them to test themselves in a variety of settings. It was kind of like expedited dating… they learned about each other, worked as a team, relyed on eachother, played together, and also simply enjoyed the others company.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave this review. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, "Deserted".

What an interesting premise for a series. The first book is Adela and Jack's story. Adela and her four friends got caught in a storm and end up shipwrecked. Adela and one friend, Camilla end up together with the other three missing. Jack and his 5 friends end up on the same island. They agree to help search for the missing women.
The story pulled me in. I loved getting to know the men and women. The characters are written so well I felt like I knew them. Each character, just like in life, has his/her baggage. Unraveling their backstories felt natural and I enjoyed delving into the history.
Jack and Adela have immediate chemistry. They both bring out wonderful things in each other. There is lots of st€am but yet their relationship is sweet.
The book is a stand alone however the series will be a different woman and man. It isn't action heavy but it definitely captures your imagination. This book serves as a lead in to Camilla and Dom's story. The world created on this island captured my imagination. I can't wait to learn about each of the castaways.
This is my second Anna Castor book and book 1 in the Blazing Islands series. This is fast-paced and very spicy.
Adela is a naive, introverted but smart young woman who just graduated from college. A graduation prize was a sailing trip around Honolulu with a group of girlfriends, which ended in disaster when a storm hit.
Awakening the only person Adela finds is Camilla.
Jack is a handsome firefighter who is on a bachelor trip with his group of friends. They are hit by the same storm and the guys find themselves abandoned on desert island.
The girls start to look for their friends and find water. They set up camp and these guys arrive and suggest they work together, after some consideration they form a team. Adela and Jack form an instant connection (not my favourite trope neither is the virgin which Adela is.). Jack fights the connection and Adela is convinced her tragic past will put him off, but they share similar pasts and grief.
The steamy scenes were both sweet and hot.
It has a cliffhanger ending as it is part of a series, I enjoyed this story and will definitely read book 2.
I'm sorry I just can't get into it. If this were a fantasy book with the "instant soulmate" trope then maaaaaaybe I would be all for it. The author just isn't selling it with Adela and Jack in my opinion. Jack talking about "idk how to handle this thing between us" when y'all legit just met and have barely spoken ?????????? I-
Listen, I've read stories with "instant attraction" before and never had a problem. There's just that key piece that I as reader need to believe this instant attraction is not only real between the characters, but also do-able.
Face-paced romance or not, I wasn't shown enough to make me grip the pages and ride that romance-high with the characters. (Or make me want to ride that high considering I DNF'd at page 70. Eh.)
Slow Burn, High Tension Action Packed Read!!! Two separate groups are swept up during a dangerous story and get washed up on what seems to be deserted island. Jack and his boys were together for a bachelor party while Adela and her friends were celebrating finishing school. Right from the two meeting up, the sparks and the tension between Jack and Adela can be felt.
The start of the book really does a great job at setting the scene of this series and introducing us to this world and the people who are a part of it. I felt that it was well laid out. I felt that the last third of the book was a bit rushed and the same attention to detail wasn’t quite there. That being said, I loved all of the people in this world, loved the setting it is in and couldn’t put this book down! I can’t wait to read about Dom and Camila.

Adela and Camilla are the only two of the group that make it to the deserted island after their catamaran goes down during a storm. Jack and five of his group are in a lift raft after their boat goes down as well. This is a story of Adela and Jack as this series begins. The characters had great backstories that open up the process of learning about each other as well as the tasks they did together on the island. The drama, danger, surprises, revelations, steam, vivid locales and banter kept the pages turning as the couple grew closer. Loved their chemistry, support and entertaining situations. Can not wait to see how the others pair up in future books.

I enjoyed the plot of this book but the romance part was a little unbelievable. Instant love is not my favorite trope. A group of women and a group of men sailing on two different vessels hit a tropical storm and become stranded on a deserted island. Adela instantly is attracted to one of the males. A woman who has had no prior relationships and a Virgin gives it all up to a stranger during an intense situation and both say they love you within days and that they will last forever Some phrases bothered me in this book “big t*ts” seemed to be the only descriptor for those body parts and “part your fat lips” just didn’t do it for me. But I feel invested now to read the other stories.
lost and found This book is an intriguing start to a series: 6 guys and 5 girls shipwreck in a storm. Camilla and Adela are washed up at a tropical island where they meet Jack and his "brothers". They decide to join forces to look for the three missing girls. Jack and Adela feel responsible for what happened to their friends. Both having lost their families, the last thing they expect to come out of this miserable situation is to find true love. I enjoyed the banter between the guys and I wonder who will end up falling for whom… I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Pros (IMO): it’s a deserted island, forced proximity, hea, quick read, with a possessive hero. Cons (IMO): instalove, virgin FMC, typos, tragic backstory retelling, not enough spice.
Beginning was attention grabbing but quickly turned into “ok get on with it”. The instalove felt a bit absurd, particularly given the plot, but the action and dialogue picked up (mildly) once the author found their groove - so I guess it grew on me. This is an interconnected standalone with at least one sequel, that I know of. This couple wasn’t my personal jam, but it was entertaining enough that I’ll give the second book a chance.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Jack and his five friends are shipwrecked on a deserted island and find two women who have been separately shipwrecked on the same island. The two women are missing three of their friends who were on the same catamaran. I like the way Jack endears himself to Adela and she finds strength in herself to go after what she wants. The story goes through the eight looking for her friends and using their knowledge to work together and make their lives easier as they await rescue.
