Ghosts. Can’t live with them, can’t make them cross over...
Everly Dupree has her hands full trying to track down Davina Benet’s killer. The last thing she needs is Delilah Cannon showing up in Mooselick River and poking her nose into the investigation. Everly is certain the key to finding Davina’s killer lies in one of her missing persons cases while Delilah’s convinced it’s someone from Mooselick River. And, as usual, Davina’s no help at all.
Then, before she’s hardly had time to unpack her suitcase, Delilah turns up dead leaving Everly to wonder if Delilah had been on the right track after all.
Now, Everly has two ghosts on her hands, and she’s certain the same person killed them both. But who? Between dealing with the loss of a friendship, her ghostly shenanigans being dragged into the light, and an upset of her Thanksgiving plans, Everly has to solve the mystery or be haunted forever after.
If you like plucky heroines, lovable characters, and ghostly mysteries, you’ll love this cozy, paranormal series.

I live in Maine with my husband, a silly flufferpup named Dash, and a crazy cat named Cricket. I write full time and also create mixed media artwork when I get the chance.
When I was three, my mom brought home a new book and when she went to read it to me, I read it to her instead. That was when she realized I'd learned to read. Since then I couldn't even estimate the number of books I've read. It's a lot!

Everly Dupree was helping her friend Patrea by stripping off 5 layers of wall paper in the house-flipping project Patrea was working on. When a text arrived from Delilah Cannon, a big fan of Davina Benet, informing Everly she was coming to Mooselick River to write a “tell-all” book on Davina, she was expecting Everly to find her a place to stay which would keep her close to Davina’s spirit. However, Delilah actually had no clue whether Davina’s spirit was still hanging around the area or not. So she relied on Everly who is sort of “haunted”. Someone’s meddling in the past had opened a psychic door to allow spirits entry to this side of the veil where they find and haunt Everly. Since she can only speak to those who are stuck on this side due to “unfinished business”, those spirits seek her out.
Davina is trying to involve Everly in a “ghost outreach program” which she hopes would make it possible for her to stay on this side of the veil. But Everly would prefer that Davina crosses over because she just might be able to close that door behind her if she leaves, giving Everly some peace and quiet. Finding bodies of murdered people then seeing the ghost, and acting like a death magnet is not a future Everly wants to encourage. But if she can find justice for them, they go into the light and don’t return. After telling all this to Patrea, they got back to work.
Then Everly got a text from Delilah Cannon to come to her room at the Bide-A-Way Motel right away. But when she knocked on the door, no one answered. She asked the motel owner Barbara to open the door because something may have happened to Delilah. They found her slumped at the small table, a silk scarf tight around her neck, and no pulse – similar to how Davina died. They dialed the Emergency number and Ernie arrived quickly. Everly took some pictures of the crime scene before she and Barbara locked up the room as instructed. But Ernie discovered Delilah had been dead for at least 2 hours, despite Everly telling him she got her call only an hour ago! It was time for her to get involved in the investigation and find out what really happened here!
The story line was well-paced and the characters were written in a way that showed their personalities to the reader and brought them to life. The added touch of ghosts made the story more unique and enjoyable. Grab your copy and see if you can figure out the murderer in this one!
I absolutely love Everly and her ghostly ability. I am a sucker for anything involving Everly and her quirky abilities.
I love how humorous she can be when she is uncomfortable or her sarcasm at the best of times. She has such a great community around her and I love being in her world in each book. It's like coming back to a friend's house that you never wanted to leave.
Everly has such a unique gift and I love that she is able to use it to give those who have passed on the peace that they need. She is always up to something within the town and has her friends in town with her. They give such a great background along with her boyfriend.
It had been a while since I read a book in this series and I had to go back and jog my memory a little to remember everything. But with the jogging I was able to get right back into the storyline.
Davina and Delilah definitely were the two spirits that gave her a run for her money. There was no true answer in the beginning as to how things would work but they figured them out.
I can't say that I wasn't sad to see the end result but with resolution comes the part where other can move on. I had really grown to like Davina and was excited when she said that she was going to hang on a little bit longer.
There was a moment in this book that is like in the movie “Ghost” (No, not THAT part! 😉) Davina is still around though. We’ve gotten familiar with her due to the fact she’s been in three books now! Let’s take care of this, people! Everly was focused on solving a different murder than just Davina’s in the previous book.
The last book was over 400 pages, but all of the pages were necessary to the story and it wasn’t all slow going, so that’s good. It took me longer than normal to read it only because I didn’t focus on full days of reading.
We haven’t learned much about Davina because she’s so tight-lipped. She’s no help at all in solving her murder. Maybe she just doesn’t want it solved. Perhaps she enjoys being a ghost too much. I also had another thought - maybe her killer is a family member or a friend and she doesn’t want the person to be caught.
A secret about Davina’s past surfaces and Everly has to make a tough decision about whether or not she wants to tell Davina she knows. Everly also has to decide how and when the secret should be presented.
We are left on another cliff hanger, so I hope the next book wraps everything up and I hope Everly doesn’t have Davina do what she’s asked her to do.
Next is book 10 in the Haunted Everly After: “Christmas Wraith”.
Join Everly as she tries to find out who took Davina’s life. Along the way we’ll see if her and Neena will ever be friends again. The gang is all here in another mystery that needs to be solved but this time Everly might have a partner whether she wants one or not. If you have been following this series then you definitely need to get yourself a copy of this installment and read it to find all the answers to all the questions, you won’t regret it, I’m sure.
This was probably one of my favorite books in the series so far. Maybe because many pending strings were finally completed, and the mystery of Davina's murder is solved. The murderer is a bit of a surprise and there are plenty of other surprises thrown in just to keep the story moving quickly. Good to see Everly really considering the future with Drew also. Again in the series, the book ends in a bit of a hang with a big set up for the next in series.
Everly had a problem, she could see ghosts. Right now she was dealing with two murdered women and was trying to discovered who had killed them. Both of the victims wouldn't cross over until their murder had been solved. Having a ghost or two pop out of the woodwork was causing problems with Everly's friends and especially her boyfriend. So the search for the killer begins. Enjoy!
Everly deals with ghosts, trying to help them cross over. In this case she has two female ghosts. So, she has to try to help the ghosts cross over, find out who killed them, deal with a friend that is no longer a friend, maybe have a boyfriend and at the same time deal with others things going on in the town.
It's unusual to deal with two ghosts at one time but the author pulls it off rather well. Another enjoyable book in the series.
Another fun book by Ella Lynn & Regina Welling. Everly can see and communicate with ghosts. Delilah is back in town to write a tell-all book about Davina. When Delilah is murdered in a similar way to Davina’s murder, Everly and her ghosts work on trying to solve both murders. *I received this book for free for my unbiased review.
The ghost cozy mystery series, by ReGina Willing &Erin Lynn is one of the best series I've read in a long time. There's always something at the end of each book that keeps you wanting more! The characters are fun & the stories are fresh making them fun to read!
A ghost writer wants to write a book about Davina Benet and is sure she knows who killed the famous psychic but ends up getting murdered herself, now Everly has 2 ghosts haunting her as she works hard to find their killers. Exciting plot twists and turns take you on a real roller coaster ride before revealing who the killer is. Really good read.
Ghost Writer:A ghost cozy mystery Series (Haunted Beverly after book 9 by Regina Welling, Erin Lynn
This was another winner. I love this Author and all her books and different series. She has great chapters and a great cast of characters. I highly recommend all her books and different series. Diana Romano
I think most anyone who likes Mysteries will enjoy this book. The Ghosts add a little spice to the story & sort of help solve the murder, but it's not as easy as them actually knowing who killed them, it's more that they add information that helps, or not, like any "witness."
What an ending--I can't believe it will be October 2023 for the next book. I really enjoyed this one as it dealt with so much. Writing remains as good as ever and the characters are fantastic. Recommend reading.
I love reading about Everly's adventures. This book is fast paced and pics up where the other book left of. Neena is still not taking to her and she still has Davina's murder to solve.
I enjoy getting to know the characters as they develop an evolve through the stories. The next chapter is about to begin. Easy and fun read that keeps you wanting more.
OMG! What an ending! So many mysteries. So much drama. This series just gets better and better. I just have to keep binge reading to find out what happens next in Everly's world.
WOW!!! Best one so far! The ending was just...Geez! I have to start the next book right away to see what the heck is happening with Everly. Something seems to have gone wrong and as things were l left... they weren't good! Just read this series! Seriously!
Everly has a gift, she sees and talks to ghosts. She currently has two being total pains, but when things get very difficult and she is likely to be murdered, they are all the help she has. If she survives, will she get what she wants most
I enjoy leaving a review for the next reader. At the same time, I don’t want to spoil it for you! Get ready, set your phone on “do not disturb” and enjoy! ~ Happy Reading, hello book 10
But, these stories are so good, I just want to get to the next book! Laugh out loud funny, snarky, exciting, keeps you guessing, good! These have become my new favorite reads! I highly recommend them!
This book really transported me to Everly’s world. I love the characters! And the ghosts always bring an extra dimension to the story. A well written, highly enjoyable story!
Everly is such a fun character. She’s able to see ghosts and they help her with her search for the truth. They need to find who committed the murder this time. You will definitely enjoy it.
