Omega phoenix shifter Egan has lived his entire life in the same home in the same small town—this life anyway because phoenixes have many. Egan has never traveled beyond the county and, while he’s lonely sometimes, he’s content with his uncomplicated no-fuss existence.
Warlock Tamon thought he was escaping his life but found himself driving directly to it instead. Little did he expect that his car would lead him straight to his mate, an omega phoenix. But mating a phoenix shifter isn’t the same as mating a warlock or other shifters. Even taking a human mate would be less complicated, but no one else exists for Tamon once he sees Egan.
Tamon’s past catches up with him in the form of his warlock cousin. When the pair invoke powerful enchantments and spells, Egan unleashes his own magic—one he didn’t know he possesses, and that’s when things get really interesting.

The good + The clutch and hatching + Tamon's protectiveness over Eggy + Tamon's respect for Eggy and doing everything for him
The neutral o I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. My review remains honest and unbiased o I have no idea how old Eggy and Tamon were. Tamon could be anywhere between 20 and 200, and Eggy could be anywhere between 18 and 30. Therefore, I had no idea how to judge their behavior based on their age
The bad - Tamon made Eggy uncomfortable in his own home. Instead of getting rid of the threat to Eggy's safe space, they decided to let the stranger stay and leave Eggy to feel bad and locked up in his own room for days. Great parenting... - There were way too many conversations with parents about sex. It's not funny, most talks were much too invasive, and they always ended up giving the parents information they didn't share with their son and his boyfriend - When Tamon thought he needed lube for sex with Eggy, Azar did not once consider that maybe Tamon was gonna be vers or even a bottom. Not a single moment in that whole long-ass conversation that of course had to happen in public for extra embarrassment - There was not plot. Things were built up (Tamon's family, the cousin) but never finished. Instead, the whole book was just a description of six hundred uncomfortable conversations about sex and a really extensive pregnancy description - Tamon was incredibly powerful (teleportation, creating things from nothing etc) and nothing was done with it. He was like "yeah I'll take over the financial empire" instead of, I don't know, "I'll work for charity and covertly help a little more with some magic" - Cyrus being such an asshole to Tamon made no sense at all - Azar keeping everything from Eggy and Tamon all the time caused a lot of issues. Who the hell blames his son for getting pregnant when he didn't even give him the chance to educate on contraception? Also things like pregnancy were kept from Eggy, and he got blamed for everything all the time, like the bonding, even though he just didn't know any better - All jokes and puns were explained as if the reader were stupid
This book was honestly just pretty boring. I also didn't like the parents at all. I had expected the nesting to be pretty cute, but even that part was boring. The writing was also off and didn't work for me. I managed to finish the book, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Different than what this duo usually writes, in a good way. It feels fresh and interesting in a way I haven't felt about their books in a while. I like the way they built the world. Again, different than what they usually do, but in a way that makes sense. And this one won't be like some that stretch eternal
Some books are all romance and you finish with a smile, some all smut and you are left blushing and some still are a combination with intrigue mixed in as the characters try to solve some kind of mystery. This book was none of the above.
I left this book thinking I was glad it was short, but still it was a waste of time. The main characters are like teenagers and absolutely clueless.
There is this big thing about tamon being part of a crime family of warlocks and he’s very powerful so his family will try to find him and yet they send one person ( his cousin), it’s a lack lustre fight of two seconds and his cousin spends the rest of the book asleep and no one else gets sent..what???
The erotic portions of the book was like having someone who is sexually conservative and has a vanilla sex life trying to write sex scenes, not erotic at all and literally just throwing around the c word.
I didn’t get why cyrus had to be so negative and I don’t get how they “raised” eggy but taught him nothing.
This book was like those movies you start and within 5 minutes you know it’s no good but you watch till the end anyway, all the while grumbling about how crappie it is.
I cannot do this anymore. This book has so much freaking potential but it does not reach the bar. Like at all.
The Love Story is pretty blegh. Like I have no issue with instalove, but even after they “fall in love” this book does not give me any reason to care about their story. And I can’t even call it love. It’s really just them telling each other how sexy the other is and these one off meant to be sweet moments, but they miss the mark and I just cannot force myself through it anymore.
Sucks cuz it seriously has good potential but none of the characteristics that make a story a story are flushed out enough to even get me to care a little bit about what they’re going through.
Burn is the start of a new series and this book features, phoenix shifter Egan and Warlock Tamon. The book is well written and has good world-building. I liked the fact that it contains a phoenix shifter as well as MPREG and eggs. The whole nesting scene was cute. This series does feel slightly different from the other series by this writing team, but still a good read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was the first in an exciting new series! Egan is an Omega Phoenix shifter. Tamon is a Warlock and trying to escape his life. The story is great and the world building is fantastic! Well written with great pacing! Loved Egan and Tamron!!

This is book one of The Phoenix Omega Trilogy and the main characters are Omega phoenix shifter Egan (Eggy) and Alpha warlock Tamon, of the Clan Ignatius. Egan was raised by his two dads after they found his egg had suddenly appeared in their barn. Dads Azar and Cyrus have been best friends and like brothers since shortly before Azar lost his warlock fated mate Iwyn. Cyrus never found his fated mate, nor did either of them have any offspring. So the arrival of Egan was a miracle and well received. They all live in a converted church in the small town of Wakiya, and his dads have helped many in the town when needed. Normally when a phoenix loses his mate, they should regenerate, but Azar’s warlock mate transferred the breath of life to Azar, meaning he will now have the life as per a normal cycle, for one hundred years, before regenerating. Egan was not the usual first cycle phoenix, being about eighteen months old when he hatched. He has grown to love the small town and lived amongst the human children, going to school with them, until most left town for college and work. His favourite hangout is the church’s belfry, which he shares with a load of bats. Tamon has decided to leave his clan and the expectations of marrying into another family for his parents to grab more power. He found he wasn’t attracted to any of the females and as his father’s heir, he is supposed to procreate and bring about the next generation of warlocks to work for their clan and his parents in particular! He managed to sell some items and bought an old car, driving as far in the opposite direction as he could. He couldn’t use any of his magic, or his family would be able to track his location. The car, without a hint of magic from Tamon himself, forces its way to the turnoff for Wakiya and the very church where Egan and his dads live. Something catches his attention and it is the smell and glimpse of Egan that sets his senses alive. He can’t tell Azar about his family or that he is running away, especially with their powerful family ad well-known name. All he knows is that he can’t leave and that something forced his car to come here. Fate has led him straight to his mate, who is a somewhat sheltered young phoenix with a lot still to learn. Tamon knows nothing of phoenix shifters being the prime mating symbol for alpha warlocks, but Azar knows all about this because of his own mate. Not many warlocks are powerful enough to be matched to a phoenix and it seems that Tamon is. Not that Cyrus seems to take his presence very well, especially when Egan begins by being uncomfortable with what his phoenix wants and not realising Tamon is his mate to start with. Luckily Azar has a load of old books all about couplings between a phoenix and a warlock, even if the discussions end up really embarrassing at the time. Once Tamon finally sees Egan, who had been hiding in the belfry or his room, the rest of the world could have disappeared, as he only has eyes for Egan. They should be taking matters slowly and getting to know each other, but Tamon had no control over his magic when they first kissed, leaving his magical marker for his family to find. His cousin Lucius is sent to bring him back to the clan, something Tamon refuses to do and when he sees Egan in danger, he unleashes his magic which connects with Egan’s to produce a much stronger magic together. Tamon wanted his cousin dead for trying to harm his mate, but instead ends up cursing him to never wake, with no idea of how to break it! His past has caught up with him, but he has so much more to live for and definitely doesn’t want to be pulled back into his clan’s hold. Egan and Tamon are fated mates and their bond is complete, even before they knew it. Cyrus has a bad opinion of warlocks, due to their wanting the power of a phoenix shifter for themselves, and feeling that Tamon has rushed Egan into this fated mate bonding! Unexpected magic and a curse happen when Egan is in need of protection and Tamon is left feeling guilty for the danger he has brought to them all. Tamon and Egan now have to prepare for the next phase of their lives together, with all the things they need to learn about a warlock and phoenix shifter pairing and the consequences of such a relationship. Cyrus and Azar will regenerate over the next few years and Egan will have to be prepared for that. A great insight into phoenix shifters and their relationships, as well as subjects such as their fated mates, their life cycles and having a clutch of hatchlings. I look forward to reading the next book in the series as all of their lives change and new surprises keep on coming. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This is book 1 in the Phoenix Omega Trilogy. This is the story of Egan and Tamon. Egan is a rare omega phoenix shifter. He has spent his life with his two omega phoenix dads. He is happy with his life, if just a little lonely. Tamon is running from his family and their responsibilities. He is an alpha warlock. Since he is trying to hide from his family, he is unable to use magic to help himself. When he runs into trouble Egan's dad invites him to stay with them. Both are relatively inexperienced. Since Phoenix's are so rare, Tamon knows little about them. He is also unaware that he may mate with a phoenix. Tamon and Egan have a lot of emotions and information to work through to try and get to their HEA. This is their story. The book was well written and easy to read. The MC's just didn't grab my attention and hold it. I loved Egan but had a hard time understanding why he acted like he did or why his omega dad's wouldn't explain mating more to him. I was also a little irritated with how Egan's warlock dad didn't explain things in full to Tamon. I enjoyed the book but the story just fell a little flat for me. Usually I rush to the end of the book but this time I wasn't that invested in the outcome. I will add that I am looking forward to reading book 2 in this series.
I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Egan "Eggy" and Tamon were so incredibly cute together. One, a sweet and determined warlock. The other, a strong and somewhat shy phoenix.
On the run from his family, Tamon ends up in a town called, Wakiya. There he meets Azar. Offering him a place to rest for the night, he encounters a brick wall named, Cyrus. One night quickly became a future he could see. If only his mate, Egan, would spend some time with him. With a lot of patience, his wish came true. After an unexpected water incident, their intentions were to slow things down - at least until a warlock arrived and was determined to take Tamon away. In a moment for Egan to protect his love, they ended up accidentally mated. And the rest moves at an endearing pace.
Couple that with a family who doesn't have a filter, embarrassingly awkward questions and a cemetery filled with chatty ghosts - these are the makings of a beginning to an entertaining new series. I hope the other books will include the chatty cemetery occupants. The series will not be the same without them.
To round out this newfound family, the newest clutch was everything and more.
My biggest curiosity - Lucius. I can't wait to find out his story and Cyrus's need to watch over him.
This first book in a new series did not disappoint. Eggs appearing, several phoenixes and warlocks, and talking deceased people in the cemeteryto add to the mix. I hope through the series we get more background information how Azar and Cyrus came to be in the place they are located. And how the relations with the warlocks will develop further.
This first book is about Egan/Eggy who finds his fated in runaway warlock Tamon. They have a whirlwind start and I liked thr scenes about Eggy his restlessness in finding the perfect nesting place They do find their hea with a bunch of cute babies and two very attentive gound grandpas.
The writers drew me in and I could not wait to see what happened next in this shifter pnr alpha/ omega mpreg tale.
I received a copy of this book through Booksprout I am leaving my personal and honest review.
Who doesn't love a book with phoenix! This one has them in spades. It also has a warlock running from his family, and unable to use his magic lest it alert them to his whereabouts. Enter a car with a mind of its own, who brings him to where he needs to be...to his mate. His phoenix has two fierce protectors. When danger comes calling, they will do everything to protect each other. I loved this book. From the ghosts, to the old church, to the grumpy phoenix nearing his rejuvenation date, to the minute details of phoenix lore, this book will sweep you along for a joyous ride. HEA is assured. Come. Join their journey. You will be glad you did.

Omega phoenix shifter Egan is satisfied with his life, despite its sameness. Warlock Tamon, on the other hand, was trying to escape his life, or at least his family. But his car breaking down opened up an entirely new path for him as Azar offers to help him and that meeting leads to his finding Egan. Because Egan is his Omega phoenix mate and Tamon wants no other once he sees Egan. Going forward, things will be getting much more interesting as Fate has its way with these two.
This book may introduce the reader to many new concepts as we get up close to a rare phoenix shifter. The trilogy promises to be exciting, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next installment!
Burn is an unique shifter story that grabs you from the start.
Egan is a Phoenix shifter, and this is his first life as Phoenix live 100 years, before being reborn. Tamon is a warlock who just wants to get away from his toxic family, when his car breaks down in near a small town.
There are so many wonderful elements to this story that warmed my heart. Azar and Cyrus, older Phoenix shifter coming to the end of this life for them. Raising Egan from an egg. Egan working to understand the pull towards Tamon. The chemistry and care Tamon and Egan have is off the charts.
I love this story and can't wait to see what happen next.

Author's descriptions show this story would make a very visual movie. Nice start to a new series. Egan's phoenix's life is limited to his house in his small town. He is not lonely, because he doesn't know any better. Tamon, warlock thought he was escaping the illegal expectatons of his family, but he is moving toward his greatest life, ever. Tamon feels the pull toward the old church. There are lots of fun facts learning about phoenix mate pairirngs.Cyrus and Azar are wonderful guardians. They are fun and may have intresting stories. The courtship Tamon and Egan flow through is fun and sexy. There are a few tests and Egan and Tamon, work together. Nice guys, good story. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and getting to know these characters in the story. Tamon is a warlock who has escaped the strict life with his family. His car takes him to a almost abandon town where he meets his fated mate Egan who is a Phoenix shifter. I really love these characters and hell the story progressed to the point where Tamon and Egan made their lives together and had a clutch of children. But the story goes on to the next book about Cyrus and his journey. Well worth reading this book and thoroughly enjoyable.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Egan is a Phoenix shifter, very rare, and Tamon is a Warlock from a criminal family. Tamon runs away and purchases a car that takes him to the town Egan lives in. I like this story as it is refreshing with phoenix shifters who can only mate with warlocks. I also like the way that Egan and Tamon learn about each other and sex from Egan’s adoptive parents. The story is delightful and refreshing. Of course, the babies make the story perfect.
This started out as a curiosity read. Then I just couldn't put it down. Tamon a runaway warlock, whose car breaks down, and he meets a phoenix shifter who offers him help. Egon, sees him for the first time, that is not sure if he's scared or wary. It isn't until they both finally meet, that the sparks fly. As things progress, everything starts to get interesting. This was an excellent read, with a little need to escape, a little angst, and suddenly a lot of surprises. I look forward to reading the second book in this trilogy.
I was not sure what to expect in a story with a Phoenix shifter in it and this one was fascinating. It was also cool how Tamon is literally driven to find his mate, Egon and despite some interesting dynamics he does not waver. The added complication of Tamon running away from a dangerous family and the two of them not only getting together but needing to fight to stay safe once his family catches up with him adds even more spice to the story.

Egan is a phoenix shifter, and Tamon is a warlock on the run from his family. While on the run, Tamon doesn't use any magic since it acts as a GPS for his family to find him, so he buys a car that seems to have a mind of its home and forces Tamon to a small town where he finds Egan.
Possible spoilers: Tamon's family drama was never really resolved? I get what they did to his cousin and how they protected the town, but it still seemed unfinished.
It was a cute story, but I didn't feel very connected with them. I do love the phoenix shifter aspect.

Egan and Tamon story was endearingly beautiful with a phoenix shifter and warlock pairing. I liked the way their culture meshed, how they got over their differences, and the way they connected for the first time. Their courtship and mating was sweet, the birth of their kids emotional, and I loved the way they were received in the world. There was a bit of danger, sweetness, loving moments and funny ones. I really adored the read and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Fate is sure insistent when it wants to be. Tamon escaping his old life is guided to Egan. With the help of Cyrus and Azar who raised Egan, Tamon gets his chance to get to know and mate Egan. I liked the description of their courtship and mating. I felt that this book had a fresh approach to the genre and I enjoyed it.
Great start to a new series! Witch Tamon is trying to get away from his family and old life. When he is literally led to his mate by fate! Phoenix shifter Egan lives in an old church with his “dads” Cyrus and Azar when a stranger shows up and makes him have weird feelings! Well written,Steamy MmPreg with adorable babies! Looking forward to more!.

The blurb definitely got it right when it said sweet with knotty heat!
This first book in the Phoenix Omega Trilogy introduces Egan and Tamon. And when Fate leads them to each other as destined mates, things do really heat up!
Lots of sweet heat, insta-love and magic all around! This is a fun and truly magical read! Loved it!.

This is a paranormal fantasy yet modern romance with mpreg, the first book in a series that should be read in order! It has been 2.5 years since I read my first mpreg story, these authors were among that first foray into this trope and their writing has so improved since those first sparks of interest! This story was so gooey and beautiful; I am now desperate to read the next book! The Omegas are fierce, god I love that part!
Great start to a new series! The authors do a great job building the story as well as their characters. It's an entertaining fated mates romance with perfectly painted scenes. It moves fluidly and is an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
It was a good story. My first Phoenix book and I really liked the idea of a Phoenix. It was kinda insta love once they finally got together. I kinda wish the back plot was better. A tiny bit more suspense. The smexy was good. I’m glad C’s book is next and that he is not tied to who I thought he would be.
A phoenix shifter and a warlock find each other irresistible but it's hard to get together at first. We are there as they find their way to each other and overcome an obstacle to start their lives and a family. Great book and an interesting read!.

The authors had me at Phoenix shifter! There is also an intriguing background to the story with Phoenixes only able to mate with warlocks. It's a sweet fated mates story with a bit of drama and plenty of surprises. This is a great start to a new series, and I am looking forward to the next book.
