If she hasn’t ruined her chance at lasting happiness chasing something that was never meant to be hers…
Wanted was previously published by Ellora’s Cave as Need Me in the Unveiled series by Cari Quinn, detailed in a reader’s note within. Wanted can be read as a standalone and ends in a happily-ever-after for the main couple.
USA Today bestselling author Cari Quinn grew up wanting to be a singer more than anything else. When she realized she probably wouldn’t be hired as the opening act for the Foo Fighters, she stopped singing and started writing. Now she happily writes about rock stars, MMA fighters, suited heroes, bodyguards and everything in between. And she blasts her music as loud as the neighbors can stand, because hey, she’ll always be a rock star in her own head.
She's also half of the duo Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott, as well as one half of the USA Today bestselling author Taryn Quinn, who writes steamy small town romantic comedies (among other things.)
I ‘blame’ Cari Quinn for daring me to go where no author has ever enticed me to go. That is to dip my reading toe into the world of ménages and God forbid, enjoy them too while I am at it. Thought I’ll never become an auto-buyer of every ménage romance that is out there, I’ll still make that exception for a few select authors out there, who I know would always make whatever trope they explore work for me, and Cari Quinn has always been such an author for me.
Need Me by Cari Quinn is the 3rd book in the Unveiled series. The 2nd book in this series is an absolute favorite of mine and the hero Spencer someone I always remember, yes, because he is that very good! And of course with the cast of all the characters Cari introduced along the way enticed me enough to want to read Need Me as well, although this story explores heavily on the ménage aspect, which I might have totally skipped altogether if it hadn’t been for Cari. read more..
What’s the most important thing when writing a sex advice book? Why lots and lots of research of course!
Marcia quite her job at the book store and funds are running low with her degree in business she really doesn’t want to sit in an office. She has four months till her brother’s new bookstore opens and she will have a job then. At 39 she doesn’t know what she wants to do in the meantime. After listing her qualifications she knows one thing she is good at and that is sex. She loves books so she decides to write a sex advice book and who better to help her than her hot younger boyfriend Tony and in the process maybe his best friend Cale can join in, for the sake of the book of course.
Tony loves Marcia and would do anything for her. Marcia is beautiful, strong, smart but insecure about the nine year age difference between them. He doesn’t even see the difference, not like Marcia and to get her past this he will do whatever it takes to prove to her how much he loves her, even helping her with the research on this book.
Cale and Marcia are extremely attracted to each other both often wonder what it would be like to be with the other. Neither would do anything to hurt Tony, Marcia cares for Tony maybe even loves him and Cale has been through a lot and Tony has always been there but Marcia can’t help these feeling she has for Cale.
When Tony agrees to a night out at the club Kink, a sex club where pretty much anything goes, Marcia is shocked, this is something that is out of Tony’s comfort zone but for Marcia he does it. That’s not all, he asks Cale to join them. Marcia gets all that she imagined and more.
You could not have asked for more out of a book!! Two very, VERY hot men willing to give a girl what she wants, a club where you could just let it all hang out and go for what you wanted, and Marcia did! Yes, I am a naughty girl so I enjoyed this book very much!! No I am not ashamed!!
It also had a great story, a younger man falling for an older woman, sorry I don’t like the term “cougar”, anyway but he only had eyes for her. The ménage with Cale didn’t hurt Tony and Marcia’s relationship if anything it only showed them both how much they wanted to be with just each other. It also showed Cale and Marcia just how much they love each other as friends and that Cale’s needs are a lot more than Marcia could ever understand. We learn a bit about Cale and him being a Dominant, so I look forward to his story.
Marcia, Spencer's sister from Provoked gets her own story this time, with her younger man, Tony.
Marcia has always wondered if she could keep her younger boyfriend's attention for a long period of time. Though she seems to have it all together, she's got her own insecurities as many of us do. But after spending some time at a certain club, she finds she really has no problem keeping Tony's attention, finds just how he really feels about her. But what of the chemistry she has with his friend? Is this couple going to be a trio now? Or will their time together just cement what she and Tony really have?
Damn but Wanted is HOT! Marcia was a feisty, tell it like it is sister in Provoked, but here in her own story, she reveals layers that belie all that, showing her to be more complicated and more relatable. She and Tony had so much chemistry my Kindle fairly exploded, and the ending was a sweet counterpoint to all the steam they generated.
ARC provided by author for an honest review. Teaser graphics from Taryn's Facebook page.
So I feel like a really bad fangirl that this was out and I had no idea. I loved Provoke Me and was looking forward to future installments in the story. I guess I'm just not paying attention.
In this one, we have Marcia, who is Spencer's sister from Provoke Me. She's dating Tony, who is currently still working at the Nook, even though Spencer and Marcia have both left. But she sort of has this flirtation thing with Cade, his best friend.
Marcia doesn't think she's "forever" material. Partially because her previous marriage failed, and partially because she's pushing forty. And Tony is so young (her opinion) -- barely 30. She's sure he's going to wake up and realize that she's old and find someone new. But she's not giving Tony nearly enough credit. Or herself.
Marcia has been unemployed since leaving the book store. She's not really sure what she wants to do with her life now, and she's been living off of her savings, which is growing thin. She decides she wants to write a book on sex. It's something she's very interested in, she's been told she's good at it... win/win, right? And she decides she needs to visit Kink, the sex club, to get a broader perspective on what people really do. Which opens up an opportunity to have a threesome with Cade that Tony sets up. Marcia had sort of fantasized about that, but didn't think it would happen. She certainly wasn't going to ask for it, but if it's offered and both boys are on board? Why not?
On the one hand, the threesome ended up being everything Marcia expected, but it also shined a huge light on how she really felt about Tony and their relationship. Tony always knew, but it took a bit for Marcia to really get with the program. 100% all in.
I thought Tony and Cade acted more maturely than Marcia a lot of the time, lol, even though Marcia was the older of the three. But that's OK. It sort of made me love them a little bit that they could have these frank discussions with Marcia. :-) Tony was such a great guy, and while I'm not positive yet, I think Cade might be a great guy as well. Not that he was an ass in this one, but all interaction with him was sort of superficial. It'll be interesting to see in his book how he works out what they discovered in this book.
So, of course, I look forward to the next one. I couldn't tell if it would be Adam's book or Cade's book next because two more story lines started up alongside resolving this one. Either one, I'm game. Both will be good stories.
This book was sent to me by the authors for an honest review. I have conflicting thoughts about this book. I almost gave up on it but the ending was worth it. Marcia is knocking on 40 but she is in a sexual relationship with a younger man. She loves sex and is willing to try anything. Tony has deep feelings for her and is willing to do anything to make her happy. When she wants to go to a sex club, he's not thrilled but will do it for her. He does notice the sparks between Marcia and his best friend Caleb so he invites Cale along for a threesome. Marcia is thrilled and can't wait. However, she does start to worry about how this is going to impact her relationship with Tony. Things are very hot among the three of them and gets even hotter when they move things back to her place. When all three go back to the sex club for another night, things feel off from the very beginning. Things take an interesting turn and Marcia is afraid of how this will affect her relationship with Tony. She sees a side of Cale that she never expected and didn't know how to process. Secrets come out that can change certain lives forever. I get that Marcia and Tony are in some kind of a relationship but what drove me nuts was how she kept referring to him as her lover instead of by his name. Seemed too impersonal at times. I wish the ending would have had an epilogue but that's just how their books usually end.
This book is also a re-release of a previously released book by Cari Quinn, it has been updated for the Taryn Quinn name. And it is definitely not like most of the other books written under that name, so don't expect it to be. Marcia and Tony both worked together at a book store (the Book Nook, which is the same book store as in Provoked). Marcia is older than Tony and she often wonders what he sees in her. Tony offers her a night at Kink, along with his best friend included for the ultimate fantasy for her. But when things in her life start changing, and she knows that she wants it all with Tony-will that one night ruin everything for them?
I absolutely loved this one! Marcia is...all of us women who have confidence issues-especially as we get older!! But she is also how I wish I could be with going for what she wants, even when she is afraid! The chemistry between these characters is hot as all get out! And the club scenes are woooo! So, so hot! I loved every part of this story!! From their interactions to just how they realize how much they mean to each other and how to get what they want and need from each other! I definitely liked this one more than Provoked, and that one wasn't bad to begin with!
I really enjoyed this one. Marcia is one bada$$ woman who knows what she wants and when her world at work was turned upside down she walked away. Now she is unemployed and at a crossroad. The only thing stable or stable-ish in her life is her boyfriend, Tony. His bestfriend, Cale, has been giving her the eye and making comments and when Marcia comes up with the idea to write a book and make it about giving sex advice it only seems appropriate that when the opportunity comes up for a visit to Kink comes along that she jumps at it and, YAY, Tony suggest they invite Cale along. Okay, so one night only for a threesome, Marcia is all in. What could go wrong. Well, nothing really except all those feelings really get turned up and churned up. When one night somehow gets turned into two will this be a deal breaker or will it stop there. Oh, these two really need to talk it out. Love the older woman and younger man aspect. Hope to see these two later and see how these are in the future.
How does a book become steamy AND sweet? Oh...it's a Cari Quinn book. Marcia and Tony have been the supporting cast for this series and they've been on and off together since the beginning. I love that the central story for these two isn't getting together, it's the owning up to being in love with each other that was the hard part.
The May/December romance is only part of this story. It doesn't matter how old either of them are. In fact, it's done so well that when it's mentioned I went...oh. That's right. I forgot.
I FORGOT.
The best part of this book--beyond the steamy holy crap scenes at Kink--is that I forgot they had a gap in ages. They were just perfect for each other. And that's the part that matters.
Cari's my crit partner and I get the joy of reading all her stuff in every stage. My two favorite stages? First read and then RE-READING it when they come out in book form. She always drags me back along with the characters all over again. SO, so good.
Wanted by Taryn Quinn is about the sister of Spencer from the book Provoked and her love life. Each book is standalone. Marcia quits her job due to her animosity with her boss at her current bookstore job. She decides she wants to write a sexy self-help book for the bedroom. When Marcia attempts to write, she discovers she needs to do research. Marcia writing a book sets off a series of sexy times that Marcia and Tony decide to conduct research in an adult club. Will this research destroy or cement her relationship with her younger sexy boyfriend, Tony? Will her book come to fruitarian or be the cause of frustration? An edgier book than Taryn Quinn's previous romance stories. All Taryn Quinn books satisfy all reading palates from rockstar romance, small town romance, surprise baby, or office romances.
I recently read Provoked which was just published under the Taryn Quinn' name and thought it was incredibly steamy for these authors but this one is even hotter!
Marcia is the sister to Spencer in Provoked and recently quit her job at The Book Nook when Spencer left to open up a new store and Spencer's evil ex came back to take it over. She didn't want to be dealing with her again, so before she had a new job, she left. Marcia's not sure what she wants to do with her life until she creates a list of things she's good at and realizes that she wants to write a book helping women ask and get what they want out of a relationship/sex.
So, with the help of her younger boyfriend and his best friend, they begin exploring and that's when it gets HOT! But it's not all about the sex because of course feelings and emotions get involved.
WANTED is part of TQ’s After Dark line. That means it's steamer than their usual stories. Though, steamy doesn't begin to cover it!
Marcia and Tony are a couple, and she is looking to explore sex that has been of interest but never tried so she can write a book. Tony has a best friend Cale who becomes part of that exploration. The three head off to the "local sex club" and what they get up to is NOT for the feint of heart. Nor is it easy to "clean up" for this review. Suffice it to say -- HAWT! Their threesome relaxes Marcia and Tony enough that they can come clean about their true feelings, and (in true Taryn Quinn fashion) they arrive at a Happily Ever After.
This story is not for those who fine TQ's other stories too sexy. BUT, it is for everyone else!
This is not like most of the books for this author, really anything under After Dark series is Steamy and Hot. Let me say some of the scenes in this one are smokin. Marcia wants to try different things as research for her book. Tony knows she is the one, but is afraid to say so. In order to help her, he gives her a night at the local club. While these two were together before, they weren’t really honest with their feelings. Their experience at the club, help them both see they are it for each other. This book has really hot and steamy scenes, but still is a great story that I really enjoyed.
Marcia and Tony they've been dating for a while, but they still haven't said i love you, she's almost ten years older than him, they love sex, but she's between jobs, feeling anxious, and decides she's going to write a book, of sexual advice, but she hasn't had so many experiences, should she tell Tony that she wants a threesome experience, with his best friend, for whom she's feeling a vibe?
Could a trip or two to the a private club, Kink, get in the way of Tony and Marcia's relationship? Will their relationship after a threesome experience cool down or heat up?
This book is being reissued by Taryn Quinn and is a little more peppery than the other books, but it's a good novel.
Marcia is currently out of work, at least until the book store opens. She is blowing through her savings and decided she would try her hand at writing a book. This will be an instructional book on sex! Marcia has a boyfriend Tony whom she is very satisfied with but is curious about one thing... She hasn't ever tried a threesome. Tony's friend Cale is always giving off flitty suggestions and Marcia wonders if maybe Cale would be up for it or if Tony would be upset and it would ruin their relationship. Marcia has a dilemma. Should she risk asking or just leave it alone and skip that part in her book? Stand alone but part of a series.
A sexy story that takes you on the ride that is Marcia Galvin. She’s sexy and smart and a little lost at the start of this story. Her fear of commitment, shifting priorities and jaded world view are the only things standing between her and true happiness.
With some sexy exploration and a lesson that you can try something new at any age (inside and outside of the bedroom), this book is both a fun escape and a look into something deeper. It’s one woman’s experience when she puts her desires to the forefront, trusts her partner, and lays it all on the line.
I laughed, I swooned, and I learned. Love it.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
Reading a Cari Quinn book never fails to give me that warm "coming home" feeling. I waited a long time for Need Me and it was totally worth the wait. Cari never fails to spike her eroticism with a fabulous dose of emotion and humor, which makes for awesome reads that both arouse and move me.
I didn't want Need Me to end and yet I finished it in the blink of an eye because I couldn't stop reading. And now I'm longing for the next books on this series. Especially the two being set up in this one.
I really liked so I had high hopes but I really didn't like Marcia. She acted so immature - loved the guys, though.
Still a good book with hot smexin' (no mm interaction ☹), probably would have preferred a Cale and Tony story minus Marcia. Oh well, Cari does have a hot smexy mmf read - that was delightful.
Just when I thought Provoked, Taryn Quinn's first book in the series was crazy hot, they go even hotter with Wanted! Marcia has been out of work after quitting her job at The Book Nook. Her boyfriend Tony and his best friend Cale are still working there. Now she is board and needs to figure out to do with her life. What is she good at? Sex! So with the help from Tony and Cale they do some really kinky research for an advice book on sex that Marcia wants to write. The menage scenes are are too spicy for me to write about. Great read!!!
Marcia has strong feelings for younger boyfriend Tony. They have been a little on and off, but have amazing chemistry, but she has insecurities. She is also attracted to his best friend Cale, but that is purely physical. I like how they navigate through it all because it is complicated. They do a pretty good job communicating with a couple mistakes in ther, but overall do it well. And they are so hot together. I like the boundaries not being crossed. I look forward to Cale finding his person.
Tony is the type of boyfriend everyone would like to have. Kind, and willing to do anything to keep his girl happy. Marcia sees a future with Tony, but is not sure how committed they each are. When the idea of an experience that would take them to the next level, they are both all in. Through this journey, you get to see Tony and Marcia’s feelings for each other grow towards each other. Will this experience help them find their HEA? I enjoyed finding out. This story was filled with a lot of steamy scenes, so get ready!
Need Me is the final story (final until Cari writes another one haha) in the Unveiled Series. As I read this series I was sure my face would set on fire and I would burn up, but here I am writing another review hoping of all hope that this one will not lead to my firey death lol. It is Marcia's turn to have her, possibly, happily ever after. Can Marcia let down her walls and learn to open herself up to love?
Marcia and Tony both worked at the Book Nook. Marcia is older than Tony and she has a difficult time understanding why he finds her so attractive. She has a lot of self doubt. Tony knows he has found the one in Marcia but is afraid to tell her in case she bolts. Tony gives Marcia one night with his best friend at Kinks. While Marcia enjoys it, it also reinforces that Tony is her one. Enjoyed this one more than Spencer and Kelly's story, though there still is a lot of self dialogue.
Dual POV. Book 2 in the After Dark series. Age gap, older woman/younger man. Trigger warnings: voyeurism club; SHARING; MFM; 1 BDSM scene; @n@l.
This quick read gives a glimpse into what happens when a couple explores sharing and the feelings sharing can stir up. It was nice to read the male POV when he is left out of an intimate moment. MF HFN.
**Bonus material available at the end of the book through the author.
Marcia and Tony worked together at the Book Nook. This is an older woman younger man story with a little bit of a 3 some thrown in. Marcia is very unsure of herself, yet learns to embrace herself as she is. And that is sexy as heck. I do love some sexy time and her with the guys was great but I love that instead it showed her that she wanted Tony. Sometimes it takes something random to realize what it is you want. This is a great sexy read.
Once again, Taryn Quinn has captivated me. I read Wanted as soon as I was finished with Provoked and I enjoyed seeing other characters turn up again.
Marcia is trying to find herself. Trying to figure out what she's going to do since she quit her job at the bookstore. Her boyfriend Tony is willing to do anything to help her find herself. Even if that means bringing in his best friend to help.
Needs to be read in sequence. If its been a while between books 1,2 and now 3 (which it was for me) you may want to refresh the various characters from previous books. I like Cari Quinn's books. Quick read m/f/m. Tony, Marcia and Cale. Each is on their own path of discovery and also their overall relationship. Didn't get too wrapped up in this one. 3 stars.
Wow. This book is probably one of the spiciest I've read recently. Marcia is exploring sex that has been of interest but never tried so she can write a book. Lots of threesome action but super sweet love as a result. My only question is how does she plan to earn a living quickly by writing a book??
The second book which revolves around Marica and Tony and they bring Cale into the mix. Exploring their relationship to other levels they go to Kink the sex club that her brother has been to to see what they may enjoy. That being said they realize that they are meant for the two of them and love each other.
Marcia is such a b*^ch! Her staff don't like her. She's untouchable. Well, Cale has it bad for her, but she doesn't seem to notice him.
When Cale stumbles upon her at Kink, his world turned on its axis. Now he's determined to get her to see him. Marcia has trouble getting over the age difference although the sex is out of this world. Cale is more than determined to bring her around.
