I think this would have hit harder if I was familiar with all these random obscure character. Still, it was some good Halloween fun.

I liked the way it was tied together by a creepy narrator, and I strangely enjoyed the Wolverine vs Swamp Thing story.

It's dark and eerie and there are some nice friendly monsters to play with. The ending to the Morbius story made me actually laugh out loud. Very cute.

The colours are dark and full of shadows and perfect for these eerie tales.

I would have liked a little more info on these random characters but I guess there's only so much you can do with the page limit, and obviously this is aimed at more cultured comic readers than I.

An enjoyable Halloween entry; nothing spectacular but some fun chills to add to the spooky season.

Fun Read for those which love the Marvel Dark Universe of characters. For me Adam Warren's Wolverine-X23 VS. The Man-thing was a stand-out.

Fun anthology horror series, framing was decent. Not a fan of the final tale, there wasn't a lot of substance there in my opinion (but there's lots of Wolverine in a grass bikini if that's your thing), but 4 out of 5 is pretty good.

This was a lot of fun. I like the Victor Strange framing device and I really liked the Wolverine story

I picked up this book because I'm an Adam Warren fan, and luckily, his portion of this book is really book. The rest is just plain bad, with stories involving minor sub (and further sub) superheroes and their boring "spooky' escapades that are predictable, poorly written, and full of eye-rollingly bad dialogue. I was bored from the first page.

Warren's part looks great (although slightly less vibrant than what I'm used to seeing), had an interesting plot, and is a smart little story. He even takes a jab at how ridiculous Marvel stories have become. Sad to see him lumped in with these other sad sacks.

Ups and Downs

As it is with most of these collected short stories - there is the good and the bad. Wolverine vs. Man-Thing stood out due to its unique art style body horror elements and obscure plot. I also enjoyed the Bloodline story as it wasn't 100% creepy but also heart warming. I'm also desperately looking for Brielle content so that helped. Werewolf and Moonknight is a potentially great crossover. I really felt the whole idea here and Moonknight's entrance was on point. The rest has been mediocre to me. 3/5

2023 - 365 Days of Horror

Day 302: Placeholder for the 2023 edition, which was released nearly a month ago and still isn’t on GR. It would be if we were still allowed to enter books.

2.5⭐️ Books like this are why I’ve given up on the genre of the Big Two. We’ve killed the super hero story with over saturation. This should have been an old fashioned 80 page giant for these stories or limited to two stories for the page count.

A collection of fun little stories centered on supernatural characters of the Marvel Universe such as Swamp Thing, Elsa Bloodstone, Moon Night, Werewolf by Night, Victoria Montesi, and Morbius along with several others. It's nothing extraordinary but if you enjoy reading supernatural Marvel stories, this will be right up your alley! I hope Marvel does a collection of stories like these annually!

Garbage. Even worse than its DC counterpart. Bottom-tier talent (for now) and bottom-tier characters (for good, mostly.)

Anthology featuring some of the denizens of Marvels supernatural side for Halloween 2022. Interesting selection of tales with the brother of Doctor Strange acting as the linking narrator.

This wasn't as OMGSQUEE delightful as the four-part Marvel Chillers Halloween special, but I still loved it. I loved the array of characters -- Elsa! My boyfriend Man-Thing! Moon Knight! -- and the art styles. Very fun.
