Kathleen has been interested in the mystical experience for as long as she can remember. Highly intuitive, she always sensed that there was more to reality than the material world. She began an investigation into metaphysics as a teenager and studied tarot, numerology, and astrology–tools that helped her discover an underlying pattern of energy and intelligence available to all who sought it out. She went on to develop these skills into a thriving profession.
Kathleen has studied various spiritual teachings, from Tibetan Buddhism to shamanism, Gnostic Christianity to the Kabbalah. She spent three months in India at a Buddhist center studying Tibetan meditation practices and there learned something that would ultimately change her life. Coming from a monastery in southern France, her teacher told her about the Buddhists’ reverence for Mary Magdalene, an enlightened woman who lived and taught in Provence for thirty years. He told Kathleen to seek out Mary Magdalene’s cavern, a place of spiritual significance that was part of her own journey of awakening.
Ten years later Kathleen had the opportunity to travel to southern France and visit the cavern, a place where Mary Magdalene spent much time in refuge. At this point in her life Kathleen was writing a book about her own spiritual adventures and found herself increasingly drawn into Mary Magdalene’s history and the power of her spiritual legacy. This became the basis for Kathleen’s novel "Red Spirit Woman."
She has published two Tarot guidebooks with Macmillan, "Tarot A to Z" and “The Intuitive Tarot Workbook” as well as “The Angel Numbers Journal” (which will be released May 28, 2025). She offers ongoing interactive zoom classes, teaching people how to use tarot, numerology, and astrology.
I actually intend on purchasing this book! I picked up a copy at the library as I had just bought my first set of Tarot cards recently. I loved the way this book was put together. All of the information was great and easy to comprehend, especially for someone just learning about Tarot. The book is also beautiful and I enjoyed the Author’s back story.
A great book for beginners to get into tarot! The descriptions aren't too heady and they're easy to understand. Perfect to give someone as a gift when they're just starting their journey, or even to brush up on your own knowledge, too!
It seems like this author is very knowledgeable on the subject. It's not something I feel that I need to have on my own shelf, but it feels like good info if this is something you feel you need!
Solid beginners guide. I would definitely recommend it. I found part four the glossary abit redundant as the previous pages were informative enough not to need a play by play of definitions.
