This three book series was amazing the author is great and she will keep you into suspence until the end. Chelsea police detective becomes friends with Becky and Jamey but she feels something is off with Jamey even though he seems nice. There is a serial killer on the the loose who is targeting Redheads and Chelsea who was a rape victim herself intends to find out who it is. I don't want to put any spoilers in my review but this trilogy is one of the best and once you start you won't be able to stop reading.
I loved the first two books in this series, Forgotten Identity fulfilled it's goal to hook you into the series and get you to relate and care about Susan the character in the book that ran away when she was a teen.
The second book, Song Bird also did it's job to outline and make you feel what Susan went thru and why she made the choices she did. You felt sorry for the "monster" as at times it feels like he really wants to change but can't fight the triggers.
Fallen Apple, the third and final book really wrapped things up and there are things you do not see coming until your jaw drops. So many emotions and you again care for the main characters as well as the "monster". I read this book over two afternoons and hated to put it down when the dogs kept trying to tell me it was after 5pm and their special supper time. I came back to finish the last thirty pages wanting to see how it ends and hope it ends the way I wanted and wanting to slow down and enjoy the last few jaw drops in the series.
In parts of the story I was sure I knew what was going to happen as in what world do you give money and car keys to someone that obviously has nothing and could be running a scam but then actually is in love with the other person? I am sad I am done but looking forward to future books by this author and heard the next one is a romance story:) I want to shout from the rooftops to take a chance and read this series and tell your friends about it and leave reviews so others will read it.
What a great book. End of the series and expertly written. I had a feeling I knew a plot twist, and it was exciting to read the way the author tied everything together.
