Zephyr and her parents lived on a vast land mass called The Continent. When she was seventeen her mother was killed in a savage attack, leaving Zephyr and her father alone. Within a week, her uncle and aunt were killed, as well, making her cousin an orphan. It was a pair of tragedies that set the stage for the most monumental events the Tribe had seen for decades.

Now, no longer a girl, Zephyr has been raised to honor the Protector and to one day become the leader of her Tribe. Many trials stand in her way. Does she have the strength of character to hold firm to her faith, to learn to use her Gift in new ways, and to one day become the leader of a new Tribe?

Into the Wind begins exploration of the fantastical world of Hereth by beginning on its largest known continent. Dive deep into the lands, peoples, and cultures of Hereth with this first book in the "Eulgaria" series, and then hang on! There is much more coming.

Some solid world building that was easier to figure out in context than I worried at first. Also a solidly enjoyable story of trust in God and faithfully doing what's right in the face of adversity.
