I was lucky enough to attend church with Louise, so I readily admit that I came into this book already admiring the woman. Now, though, she has become a hero. Her tale should be required reading for all students - boys and girls - in either high school or college. Talk about living life to the fullest and doing her best to make the world a better place. I will treasure this book and probably re-read it multiple times when I'm feeling like my life is challenging. I can't recommend it enough.
An honest chronicle of a great life, full of priceless cultural snippets of early and mid century life as a farm girl turned professional woman. Raggio does not shy away from discussing difficult personal challenges with her health and marriage that she endured while simultaneously reforming the TX Family Code in favor of equality.
Loved this. It is a wonderful autobiography of a small town Texas girl who grew up to rewrite some of the most important laws (really the entire section of Family Law) in our country
