Sophie Cleverly was born in Bath in 1989. She studied for a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in Writing For Young People. She is the author of the SCARLET AND IVY series and THE VIOLET VEIL MYSTERIES, which are published in English by HarperCollins worldwide and are being translated into many different languages.

Aside from writing, she can often be found blogging about symphonic metal, watching fantastical TV and struggling to find her way out of her ever-increasing pile of books.

I’m a big fan of this series and this new instalment was so good, and probably my second favourite in the series. I was hooked by the mystery and it’s unlike any other one I’ve read. I love Violet and Oliver’s friendship so much!!! And bones has definitely got to be one of my favourite fictional dogs!

This book is full of mystery, excitement, and suspense!! I have only read this one book of the series, but I already know that the others would be just as good. Violet Veil... The girl who talks to ghosts with her pet Hecuba have the best stories to tell, do they not? I would rate this book a 4 on 5.
This book is by Sophie Cleverly! she certainly is clever enough to write such amazing books.
