Kimberly bites back! On Saturday morning, Kimberly eagerly lumbers trots downstairs for her weekly feast. Unfortunately, Arthur has burnt it all with that new grill that he’s experimenting with. No matter, Kimberly will enjoy the French restaurant that Mother and Signey are taking her to. The real dilemma is what delicacy should she order! Only it’s not a fine French restaurant. It’s not a restaurant at all! Kimberly’s been hoodwinked! Dragged to the vet! Having put on the teeny-tiniest bit of extra weight, Kimberly is humiliated in front of all the other pets! And worse, the most unreasonable and unsurvivable (is that a word?) diet is thrust upon her! But Kimberly has her own plans--plans to clear her tarnished name and to steal back her essential rich foods once again! Get your own copy of this funny and endearing story now!
When Rob Baddorf is not trying to stow away on a uranium expedition or looking to join a jungle team searching for pirate loot, he's stuck in traffic dreaming up a story where he can do these things. When he's not writing middle-grade fiction, you can find him either doing graphic design or illustration work. Rob lives in Pennsylvania with his amazing wife and three boisterous children.
This was a super cute and fun story! We loved Kimberly’s dramatic personality and her endless search for food. There were multiple moments throughout the story that made us giggle. We enjoyed Fred’s character too and his crazy ideas. We also loved the message that Jesus loves Kimberley just the way she is, no matter how she looks on the outside. We can’t wait for more Kimberly adventures!
Disclaimer--This is the 3rd book in a series and I haven't read books 1 & 2. BUT I was impressed enough with this entry that I bought them for my Granddaughter in another state. She will see them when she returns from her vacation in a couple days but her Mom assures me she'll be delighted. Now I'm not a person into pets but I found the main character, Kimberly the cat, just irresistible. Her CATtitude is right on for a cat. Faced with a problem she denies having, her creative avoidance techniques keep the reader laughing. Baddorf surely has a way with words. This book defines "light summer reading" for the young middle schooler.
I really like the small Bible references in this series. Kimberly seems to be growing spiritually. I think my grand niece is going to love this series.
