“A compelling read giving detailed, realistic characters that you grow to identify with and love!” 5-Star Review

Life gave me everything, then took it away. I’ve got too much to lose to give up.
I came from a privileged upbringing and never wanted for anything, except love. Breaking ties with my family, I became an outdoor photographer, and a chance encounter while on assignment in Paradise Falls turned into love at first sight. Ethan and I had a fairytale romance, marriage, children, careers we loved, and our dream house—until two years ago when our fourteen-year-old daughter, Grace, died in a boating accident.

Ethan almost died trying to save Grace and our son, Ben. He was forced to make a choice no father should ever have to make. And while Ethan survived, I fear our marriage won’t. I used to snuggle with Ethan at night. Now I lay awake anxious and worried about our sons, Jack, and Ben, both struggling with their own grief.

Work is my escape. When my car goes over a cliff while on assignment, suddenly I’m lost in the mountains with an impending blizzard on the horizon, and my life is on the line. But my family needs me, and I will fight my way back to them.

Get your copy today because a second chance at love is always worth fighting for.

It was good

I loved this book through the search but it should have ended there. Instead of went on and they fought and bickered and kept being mean to each other and it was just too much. She got in an accident and was lost in the forest with her cat and dog. They were my favorite characters actually. Loved them. Bailey and Ballistic! Lol the day rode on the dogs back and it was really cute. I digress though. the husband goes to search for her and they Both are flashing back to their life together. Including the death of their daughter and the breakdown of their marriage. During the search and their flashbacks it was a good story. I liked it and then he found her and I knew they would get together and there would be an HEA but no, the story just went back to the bickerfest, and coldness, and selfishness that came before. I just couldn't handle it. There is a mystical experience and some true love declarations and it was a good story about loss and it's aftermath but I just wanted more.

Clare and Ethan Burke had the perfect marriage and family until tragedy struck and they lost their daughter, Grace. In the 2 years since they lost Grace, they have grown apart and they're barely civil to each other. However, they still love each other and want to fix their marriage-- they simply don't know how to accomplish that. Can they find their way back to each other?

Falling For You...Again is not the story of Clare and Ethan alone. Their sons, Jack and Ben, were deeply affected by the death of Grace. To make matters worse, they have also had to deal with their parents disintegrating marriage. Clare and Ethan's parents have undergone changes the past 2 years while dealing with the loss of their granddaughter. Friends have been changed, too. This is realistic because death affects so many people. I was very pleased to find the story dealt with that fact. I've read other books where only the parents are affected and that is not true to life in any way.

This story deals with loss and could be depressing. Kate Curran has infused the book with hope instead of with darkness. She has done a very good job of showing how different people respond to grief and how they each have their own way of dealing with it and getting on with their lives. She lets the reader know there are no right or wrong ways to deal with loss. And that healing takes time and there are no easy answers. Refreshing.

This is a well-written, thoughtful, moving book. I highly recommend it. The characters are all realistic-- flawed beings who are trying their best to handle the tragedy thrown at them while maintaining a semblance of normalcy. People who believe love and understanding will help them overcome all obstacles. Who realize honest communication is an absolute must for a relationship to be strong.

Falling For You...Again is the first book I've read by Kate Curran. I am looking forward to reading more books by her.

How does a couple fall out of love? Or is that love simply overwhelmed by other emotions? In this affecting story, Clare and Ethan are the kind of couple many people seek to emulate, but their marriage is falling apart after the death of their daughter, Grace, in a boating accident Ethan blames himself for. Their two sons are nearly as badly affected, their eldest teen drinking on the sly and their younger son secretly harbors guilt that if he hadn't wanted to go fishing, his sister wouldn't have drowned. Ethan is loathe to accept his older son's behavior, having lived with an alcoholic father when he was growing up.

When Clare is lost in the woods on a photo shoot, Ethan vows to find and bring her home, and save his marriage. Alone and hurt, Clare has similar thoughts as each of them recall elements of their relationship in the intervening years in a series of flashbacks to key points in their marriage which point out both of the adults' backstories and the emotions that reflect their expectations of each other.

But can even Clare's rescue heal the wounds their marriage has experienced? Is it even worth saving, even in the face of their sons' needs for both parents to stay together? As this story winds its way to a conclusion, other secrets must be exposed before Ethan and Clare can see their way back to each other.

This is the kind of story that both reflects and enhances the realities that influence all marriages. A worthy read.

The love was there but the grief was overwhelming and destructive.
Claire and Ethan have loved each other from first sight. They have lived on their own through thick and thin. Then it all came crashing down when a fishing trip turns into one's own worst nightmare.
They lose their daughter Grace and Ethan breaks a few bones that takes a long rehabilitation.
He pushes too hard trying to get better to provide for his family and breaks more bones.
Claire is trying to work through her grief going to counselors and reading self-help books.
Ethan is going to counseling but just isn't getting anything from it.
Claire goes to the mountains with her rescued dog and cat. She is almost to the top and a log truck is coming right at her. She goes over the side of the mountain.

Lots of crying and wringing your hands through the whole story. You just want to pull them all in for a big hug and tell them it will get better.
Loved it and will be looking for more of her stories.

One of the most difficult to things to lose in life is a child. To overcome the loss parents will cope in different ways and this book has dealt with it in such an incredible way.

Clare and Ethan Burke's daughter died 2 years ago in a boating accident and through glimpses into the past you are able to discover the love story of Clare and Ethan and then how they are dealing with the death of Grace.

When Clare goes missing on a photography assignment Ethan realizes how much he loves Clare and vice versa but will it be too late for them?

This book was so heartbreaking looking at the struggles both Clare and Ethan were facing and also how it impacted their two other children, Ben and Jack. The struggles this family faced were intense and so real. It was so well written and brought forward many emotions!

Great read!!

A Heartwarming/Tear Jerker Love Story. Clare and Ethan vowed to love each other and be together forever. They are the perfect happy family with jobs they both love and three great kids. Than one day tragedy hits and their daughter dies. Slowly Clare and Ethan start to drift apart and Clare is thinking of divorcing him. One day she goes out for a photo shoot in the mountains and does not tell anyone where she is going like she usually does and does not return home. A blizzard is coming and Ethan will do whatever it takes to try and find her. Will they be given a second chance at love? Read the book to find out. This was a very hard book to put down because I had to find out what would happen next.

I loved the first book by Kate 'Only for You'. I was lucky enough to get a free copy of her second book! This book has it all. A family caught
up in the emotional turmoil of unexpectantly losing a daughter in a tragic accident. The grief and guilt that follows tear Clare and Ethan
apart. I love the way the author tells us their love story interspersed with the present. I rooted for them to overcome their grief and guilt
and reunite, especially for the sake of their two sons. I have to admit to using a kleenex or two while reading. Clare, a photojournalist,
(just like the author) gets caught in a blizzard in the present day. This event triggers Clare and Ethan to reevaluate their love and
 relationship.
Their marriage isn't fixed with her rescue, but I won't spoil the ending for you.. Great characters including a dog and a cat, and
twisting sub plots. I highly recomend this book.

"I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily reviewed this book and this is my honest review"

Falling for You...Again is an amazing story that takes you on an emotional journey one will not soon forget. It is a story that deals with the aftermath of losing a child in a tragic accident. How can a family survive such a tragedy and what lengths will it go to in order to save what it once was?

The author does a great job of portraying the raw emotions felt throughout the book. I got to experience not only how this tragedy can affect a loving couple but also how it can affect the family as a whole.

I particularly liked the flashbacks into the past which helped to solidify the character development and influence my understanding of the characters. I cared about them because I felt like I got to know them.

I would recommend this book and will be looking to read more books from this author.

What a powerful and emotional book! This is my first book by Kathy Coatney and I am hooked! Wow…I don’t know how I will be able to describe the feelings, there are just so many!
My heart broke not only for Ethan and Clare, but Jack and Ben and the entire family. I can’t even begin to imagine how absolutely crushing it would be to lose a child. How do you pick up the pieces and move forward?

Kathy Coatney did an outstanding job with the struggles, pain, anger, hurt, guilt, despair, everything that Ethan, Clare, Jack, Ben, and the grandparents faced.

Even in all the pain and heartache, the devastation and struggles they face, there is also hope as they learn to work together to heal and learn how to live their new reality. We, the readers, are taken on a gut-wrenching, emotional journey and through the pain of this fictional tale, learn to grab life and hold on tightly. To always work hard to keep the lines of communication open and expressive. To love like there is no tomorrow - because no-one is guaranteed a tomorrow.

This is a book that will stay with you for a very long time. Thank you, Kathy, for writing this.

I loved this book.   It pulls you into the story from the beginning.  It's mixed with happiness,  sadness, fear, hope and love.  I couldn't read it cat enough to find out what happened  as Clare and Ethan struggle to deal with the death of their daughter, a son who has turned to drinking to cope,  as well as their failing marriage.   Any one of the issue would cause a strain but all together are almost insurmountable.   Then Clare doesn't return from a work trip and Ethan, her family, and friends start searching.   As Ethan struggles to hold onto hope that he'll have a second chance to set things right with his wife she struggles to survive the elements long enough for Ethan to find her.  With few supplies and only her cat and dog for company and protection against the wild animals that lurk, she is determined to hold on until she can be rescued so she can fix her marriage and try to move on with her life.  Can love really conquer all?

Clare and Ethans marriage suffer after their teenage daughter dies in a boating accident. Ethan is racked with guilt, that he saved his youngest son but couldnt save his daughter and he himself almost died in the process.
Clare and Ethan grieve differently and therefore cant understand why the other dont feel the same way they do. They try to tip toe around each others emotions but their two sons can see through it and start to question if their parents will divorce.. The older son turns to alcohol to numb the pain, while the youngest son blames himself for wanting to go fishing and his sister drowning from the boat accident.
Clare is a outdoors photographer and she escapes into the mountains to do her work taking pictures for a magazine. Her thoughts distract her and she is involved in a accident that causes her SUV to tumble to the bottom of a ravine. She has to try and get to shelter before the snow storm comes.
I enjoyed this story except for the end. I would have liked it to end sooner than it did. I dont want to give anything away so I will leave it at that. Tear jerker at times, you cant help but feel their pain and how they both desperatly want to make their marriage work.

Ethan and Clare - I do NOT a past/present story teller

Yes, I am rating this novel as three stars for many reason. To begin with - author’s use of language. This novel would have been better without the use of foul language! ( Makes me think that’s how the author speaks IRL!) Next up, the going from past to present is strange and this reader doesn’t enjoy the jump.
The real life experience families face with grief was shared which was heartwarming. Alcoholism and enabling the alcoholic was prominent in the story line, as was the only lonely little rich girl. Yes, the only children of both naturally meet and fall in love. You know the story.
I thought I wanted to continue to read the series, but nope. The two I’ve read so far are basically the same with same use of language and profanity. The present/past/present/past to tell from years and years ago to months ago to present is aggravating.

Claire and Ethan has the perfect marriage until tragedy strikes. Now they are at the point where they need to decide to work at it and keep going or call its quits. And it doesn't effect just them but teenage son Jack is feeling the pressure and tension. When Claire gets doesn't come home from the mountains it gives them the chance to look back at the good times and look forward to where they want to be. There's no quick fix and they have to learn to talk about how they feel -never an easy task. I loved the characters and how they dealt with the situations they found themselves in. The whole story tugged at my heart

Falling For You Again.... A Second Chance Novel ( Book 1)

This was a beautiful story and a real tear jerker. I loved the two main characters and suffered their pain with them as I lost a son in a car accident and felt the grief they were going through. Thankfully after a lot of heartbreak they finally learn to share their grief and to talk to each other and lean on each other they regain the love and trust they thought was lost forever. So glad for their two sons that they found a happy ending!🤗

Falling for You Again is an emotional read centered around Clare and Ethan. This couple is trying to salvage their marriage after the death of their daughter Grace. The guilt, struggles, and pain draws the reader to the heart of the story of loss of not only Clare and Ethan but their two sons and extended family as well. Clare and Ethan's flashbacks to happier times provide a glimmer of hope that this couple can overcome their heartache. A well written, emotional story that will stick with me for a long time.

Tragedy Can Makeor Bbreak a Relationship

Ethan and Claire Burke lost their daughter two years before this book began. The couple is understandably having marital problems since the accident. Then Claire gets in an accident of her own. What I liked was that we got to view those memories that Ethan and Claire felt like brought them to their present point. I just loved these two and their children. I can’t wait to read more from this series.

Decent book that tells the story of what a lot of married couples go through past the “honeymoon phase”. Shouldn’t take a terrifying event to bring back the love you have for someone, but it often does for some reason. It was an easy read and the flashbacks of the relationship’s best days were absolutely beautiful.

A very good read

Everyone deserves a second chance and luckily this family is able to take full advantage of it. Losing a child is probably the hardest thing a couple can experience because it’s a painful process but thankfully they fight through it and find love and happiness again.

Ms. Coatney is new to me. However this book shows that she is a good author having a good plot and characters who are interesting and who can carry the weight of the story. I recommend Kathy Coatney's books to anyone who likes good romance stories.

Good character and story development

Coatney does a good job of developing both her characters and their story. Her words paint vivid pictures of the town, the people and the wilderness. Even the cat and dog come to life. Enjoyable, easy read.
