Told with raw emotion, this is the true story of one man’s journey through the formative years of the Bandido motorcycle club, his prison days, and his brief career as an international drug smuggler. Norman Spells tells it like it is. From his childhood days growing up next to the Gulf of Mexico in Aransas Pass, Texas, to his travels down south to meet with Columbian drug lords, this is a story that will have you turning the pages, wondering what the next chapter will bring. Filled with action and behind the scenes revelations, it is also a story about loss, redemption and triumph over a life-long battle with drug addiction. Read this book. You’ll be glad you did.
First, I’ve always been a member of Norman’s fan club. Second there is so much more to his story than what I had a chance to hear over the years. The theme that came through in this book was the importance of loyalty, first to his group of people who wore the colors and then to the family that he built. What I would’ve wished for in the book was more about how he felt about the people and places and the events in his life. As he went through profound changes he shared the facts at the surface and left the reader to guess his feelings. A good book makes the reader think. This one did that for me.
Its a work of fiction & fantasy, full of lies. Amazon please do NOT allow this garbage. I was a cop in Aransas Pass & Ingleside from 1976 - 2005, as was my husband. Spells story has no truth. He forgot that Grant, J.T. & Phillip Schultz were all arrested in the late 70's. Was he the informant? I can give you names of many other officers still living that will prove Spells to be a liar. Bandido Nomad? I think NOT!! Frenchy is rolling over in his grave. Trash & fiction.,
Once I read that first sentence I knew I wouldn't stop until it was finished. I could not put it down. it was like listening to Norman himself tell his story. And i wanted it to keep going. Fantastic story telling ability!!! Loved every nuance. I hope you'll continue writing more because we all know there's more to tell!
This is a very well written book. I can identify with the author a lot being a biker and having family members do the same kind of "work" on boats like Mr. Spells did. This book is clear, concise, and without the usual errors that are so prevalent today. Well done Mr. Spells.
Normalizing drug smuggling, cheating, pimping out wives, hanging Nazi flags as a decoration, these among other various felonies somehow don't jibe with the image he's pushing as a good husband and father.
I bought this book because it spoke about his life w/ the Bandidos MC. This spoke of mainly his love- life & drug life more than anything. I found it not worth the money spend.
Absolutely loved this book and wished it was longer . Didn't mention anything regarding his youngest daughter towards the end so this has kept me wondering
