I have one rule in I don't date cocky, pretentious billionaires, no matter how hot they are.

Except Noah King - the irresistible, rich bachelor who already tried to steal my heart once, years ago. Now I work for him.

I'm the one who has to get Mr. King out of the biggest hurdle his company has encountered thus far. Unfortunately, an unpleasant man from my past is involved in the mess. And he's not giving up until he takes all of Noah's money, and claims me as his own.

Noah and I hate each other... but there's no denying the electric tension between us. I fight my feelings for as long as I can...

But Noah could be my King.

If only there wasn't a sleazy, manipulative sugar daddy in the way...

Mr. King is the fourth book within the New York City Billionaires series of standalones. You can expect swoony romance, rich heroes and strong heroines, with a guaranteed, satisfying HEA!

Started off strong.

Kept me interested almost to the end. Kidnapped for such a small amount. Vinny wouldn't have showed his hand for the asking price, when there was a much bigger amount waiting. And certainly not put all his businesses at risk. Shame the ending, for me anyway, was weak. The rest was great. I loved Zadies attitude. Most men love bullzy women.

chemistry doesn't lie

Liking these short stories, passion, and chemistry then together at a party. 6 years later they meet again under a different story. Noah King wanted to save his business from going into the wrong hands. Fasy pace, FBI one's sexy lawyer, one villain, and one sexy billionaire that might save the day.
Must read. For sure.

I fell in love with Mr. King!

Mr King and Zadie has chemistry from the first time they met but Zadie thinks he's not really her type. She thinks he's an rich playboy who is riding the coat tails of his family's name and prestige but it isn't until they're thrown back together years later that they finally get to know eachother!

Noah King and Zadie Bell met in college and failed to forget each other for six years.

Fate had other ideas, when they meet up years later this is their story of two career-driven go-getters, as they fight to save EVA Co. from a slimy investor who is investing more than goodwill into Mr. King's company.

Short but a great read!

Not my cup of tea

The story is very copy/paste and doesn't feel like the characters have a lot of growth.
Feels like a book from another author with a very very similar trope
Not something I would recommend

I enjoyed the story as always with Mary Jennings books but I found parts of this book very verbose and found myself skipping through pages to get to the action.

Zaide and Noah

This one left a lot to be desired. I was happy to come to the end of it.
Will think long and hard before reading another.

Not as good as other books in this series. No character connection or growth at all. It was also very unbelievable in a lot of areas of the plot.
