Alpha Logan: Bloodmoon Pack Series

Rate this book
Aurelia - I live a pretty normal and happy life. But nothing exciting ever seems to happen. I was getting restless. I wanted something new. I wanted an adventure. I don't even know why I picked Camp Okwaho'kenha to spend my summer. But something told me I needed to go there. But now that I'm here I'm starting to think I bit off more than I can chew. This isn't the adventure I thought I would get. I wasn't ready for all this. I wasn't ready for this danger. I wasn't ready for these secrets. And I certainly wasn't ready for him… for Alpha Logan. Logan - I am the Alpha of one of the largest packs in North America. I have proven many times over that I am a strong and capable Alpha. I don't need a Luna. I don't want one either. I loved once and ended up heartbroken. I will never love again. The moon goddess however has other plans. I came to Camp Okwaho'kenha to put an end to the poaching on my territory. I didnt expect to find my mate.

I don't really understand the hype around this book. It's an average shifter romance book. Nothing crazy original, but not awful. I really wish the dialogue was broken up in the book. It got under my skin to have multiple people talking in the same paragraph.

I really struggled to finish this book. The writing is mediocre and immature and made worse by the frequent spelling/grammar errors and switching points of view in the middle of paragraphs. There are also frequent continuity errors, sometimes in the same paragraph. The author badly needs an editor to help with these easily fixable mistakes.
Although if all those mistakes were corrected, I still would've had trouble finishing the book. The male lead character, Alpha Logan, is just not likeable. I didn't have an issue with him being 5'5" but he seems to be suffering from Napoleon complex. He's 28 years old yet is immature, selfish, violent, and ill tempered. His mate is only 16 and he would be a pedophile if they weren't werewolf soulmates fated by the moon goddess. This makes the sex scenes pretty cringy while simultaneously managing to be boring. He also constantly tells his 16 year old mate that she has to stop doing things or he will lose control...with the implication being that he will rape her if she doesn't. He has her conditioned to think that's he's doing a great job of exercising self control. It's pretty gross.
The other characters are more likeable but also immature. I suspect that the author is very young and needs to grow in their writing. Perhaps the other 5 books get better but I won't be finding out.

Aurelia is such a badass!

Imagine, newly shifted and yet she was able to do something none of the seasoned warriors were able to do. (spoiler!) Logan and Aurelia’s romance gives me the tingles. I'm amazed at Logan’s self-control. I was going nuts, and I'm not even Aurelia. 😆

Bryant is my one of my favorite authors. Alpha Logan was the first book I read by her and I've been hooked ever since. If you love the supernatural werewolves, Alpha male, strong female and spicy romance then you will love Logan and Aurelia.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the minute I picked it up. I couldn’t get through the book fast enough! I loved the age gap, the feisty FMC who is also a badass together with the powerful Alpha MMC. Lots of twists and turns which keeps you turning the pages. Definitely recommend 💖

Had quite a few spelling and grammatical errors and I wished the maturity of the writing was a little bit older. There were times where it just felt like there was conflict because of the immaturity.

Alpha Logan by Bryant is the first book of the Bloodmoon Pack series. Logan Kinsley is not the firstborn. In any other pack but Bloodmoon, he would not be the Alpha. At the Bloodmoon Pack, the Alpha is selected by whichever of the Alpha heirs manifests the Bloodmoon wolf. This means that despite his elder brother, John, receiving all the training, Logan ended up the Alpha.

For many years he searched far and wide for his mate, traveling to gatherings all over the country and overseas. Little did he know that he didn’t need to travel far for his mate, he just needed patience as she just wasn’t old enough yet.

I could understand Logan’s frustration and longing, especially since wolves believe in “forever” … Bloodmoon, specifically, revere the mate bond so much that they have a law against rejection unless the mate is abusive.

Logan and Aurelia’s first encounter was magical. When Jericho, Logan’s wolf, spotted Aurelia as she got off the bus I got the shivers and I eagerly turned the pages to see how quickly they will meet and how soon they will both acknowledge the mate bond.

Every touch spark the bond and their first “sexual” encounter was so hot, I thought my iPad would burst into flames, lol! I put quotes because I’ve seen that many authors only count penetration as sex, so if it is cunnilingus or fellatio it’s … foreplay?

In any case, the main reason I love this story is because Aurelia is such a strong character. Despite only being 17 at the beginning of the story, I could already see what a badass Luna she was going to be and a perfect foil for Logan.

I read this book on one of those ‘pay per chapter’ apps.

This is a good book, well written and edited. The FL goes to summer camp and has no idea she is a werewolf. The ML is the alpha at the summer camp undercover hunting poachers of wolves. He realises she is his mate and that she has no idea what she is. He is also at war with another pack and so its not safe for her to come home with him. Silvercloud is hilarious! There is a sequel about the brother but this book ends without any cliffhangers.

I bought this book because I was looking for shifter romance that wasn’t PTR. I think I had it my head that it would flash forward but I ended up not finishing it. I know they explain the age gap, and I have no problem with age gap but only as long as it’s legal. The female lead is 16 I can’t remember the exact age of the male lead but I think it’s around a 15 year age gap.
