This was a unique take for Sci-Fi. Instead of being character-driven, plot-driven, exploration of space and life, it had a more dialog-driven and idea-drive feel to it. It reminds me of a campfire type story, where different things are debated, including whether or not aliens had visited the planet in the past. This book has a lot of dialog between a small family, and an android who has crash landed on earth.

There are discussions about aliens who have visited in the past, and a LOT of pictures are shown from cave drawings to stars and space. If you enjoy the show Ancient Aliens, you'll really enjoy this take on the ancient aliens concept.

While most of the book is this family talking to the android about ancient aliens, science, concepts of travel, and many other neat concepts, there is a little interstellar travel later on where they get to explore the unknown.

I enjoyed the book. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it were less dialog-driven, and more action-driven, seeing some of these concepts in use and painting a scene in it rather than it being discussed as dialog. However, it was a fun book, and it leaves a good spot to have a sequel and explore the universe further.
