Rate this book
MINDBLOWN takes your idea from imagination to creation!

Simply put, creativity is what makes us human. What if creativity isn’t voodoo but a definable process to learn and follow? The author pulls from researchers, creatives, and experience. The premise is this. Everyone is wired to create. And as we uncover and apply the process, we might actually become better people along the way!

You'll be introduced to the author's three-step creative process, The Dream, The Sandbox, and The Story, where you learn to discover, develop, and deliver your creation to the world. There's a magic to science and a science to magic. Bridging these different ways of thinking is the key. MINDBLOWN shares lessons from brain scientists and creative practitioners to give you the key to your innate design as a creator.

Rich does a masterful job of reminding the reader about creativity. How it isn’t just scientific, but also a tad magical as well. Where the science and magic meet (Rich uses a robot and a wizard to illustrate this). The process in which we go about creating is expertly detailed and better strengthened by Rich’s anecdotal evidence. He uses scientific jargon, and studies to further push home his point. Are you ready to have YOUR MINDBLOWN?!

Feel stuck or mourning the dreams you had that you let die... It's not too late!

"The wildflowers in spring send us a message with their beautiful colors, Isn't beauty enough to justify their existence?"

What a beautiful way of looking at the world. I have lived and breathed and died on the hill over many many years of having amazing ideas that went nowhere, stuck in procrastination, creating beauty but unwilling to give it function, and even worse trying to force something creative into a perceived necessary box.

This newest book from Rich Kirkpatrick helps the reader think differently and think through the mindset that everybody is not only creative but we were created to do exactly that.

I think my favorite part of this book is that it's not a "if you build it they will come" kind of book. It recognizes that there are no straight paths and everything is not about going specifically from point A to point B, but instead Rich lays out a framework for the reader.

It's a framework that allows dreaming, but also teaches that a dream must be played with or it will die. That is the beauty of what Rich lays out. It's more than just platitudes. It's science of the brain, it's learning how to get out of a rut and step into a journey of creativity, and it's seeing yourself in each and every story he shares.

This book is a must read for anybody and not just those who think they are creative, but instead everybody who has been created.

I thought the book was okay. It didn’t really show me how to unlock my creative genius. It was more like a science book explaining how creativity works in the author’s opinion. The explanations were repetitive. There were a lot of errors in the printed publication which made me wonder if it was selfpublished. It appeared to be.
