The materials are close to what I have learned about functional medicine from one of my doctor friend and online classes I have attended related to nutrition. This book make me realized that many of the medicine I have consumed only target the symptoms, not the causes. The method introduced in this book targets the primary causes of many diseases, which revolves around our guts. We need nutrient dense food for our health. Keyword: GAPS, bone broth, organic, etc.

Many Quran ayahs and hadiths are featured to show how The Prophet ﷺ had gave us examples on how to eat. It does not need to be a lot but it definitely need to be halal, tayyib, and nutrient dense. The author also gave us shopping list and recipes on how to make the healthy meal plan for families.

Sometimes it feels like research dump and some of the hadiths and ayahs mentioned need more explanation. There are also many formatting errors and typos — maybe because it is one of the firsts editions.

Overall, it is really recommended for people who wants a better health.

A must read for everyone and especially those who suffer from chronic illnesses.

It will take time, effort, money and a complete reeducation to implement the proposals and I probably will not be able to do every single one because of various circumstances but this book opened my eyes as to how to live a Tayyab lifestyle.

It talks about the physical, mental and emotional changes we need to make to live a holistic lifestyle in line with Islam and it’s teachings.

Everything is written in a clear and concise manner and in a very loving but practical tone.

I will admit, it took me a while to read this book as it’s very research heavy and with lots of text, but I took my time to digest the advice and it’s not a book that you can read in one go, but more as a reference manual so I would advise having some tabs or post it notes to help with finding relevant sections again.

Sending lots of Duas to the author for this book.

This is a wonderful reference guide and thorough I read this from cover to cover, I think the material is too exhaustive and dense to be processed that way. I recommend for people interested in picking this up to have a clear goal of what they are trying to solve, and creating a plan based on the information here.

I also would have liked to see sample plans and checklists within this book, because now that I have the information, I need to do the work.

This book offers a thoughtful guide to living a holistic lifestyle in line with Islamic teachings, touching on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Written by a doctor with extensive research on this topic, it blends medical science with timeless guidance from the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The book is grounded in Qur’anic ayahs and hadiths that highlight how the Prophet ﷺ taught us to live and eat well. The message is clear: our food doesn’t need to be plenty, but it must be halal, tayyib, and nourishing.

I especially appreciated the practical side; complete with shopping lists and recipes for building healthy meal plans at home. The author also introduces the Four S’s: Stress, Sleep, Social, and Spiritual Health, along with Tayyib Mentah and a Tranquil, Mindful Heart as pillars of a balanced lifestyle.

The visuals were also a great touch, helping explain scientific ideas like mitochondrial function and chronic inflammation in a digestible way.

That said, some parts felt a bit dense, almost like a research dump, and a few hadiths or verses could’ve used more context. There were also some formatting errors, likely because it's one of the first editions.

Still, it’s an incredibly insightful and practical book that connects faith and wellness in a meaningful way. Highly recommended for anyone looking to align their health journey with Islamic values.

This is a very very detailed and informative book, more of a guide and not a book you would just read once. So thorough and detailed, it will be a book I refer to throughout my years to come.
