I'm so darn proud of Sakura here. Not only were his skills acknowledged, he was also chosen by his entire class. He came to Furin to be recognized. Only a few days/ weeks have passed since class started, and he's already achieving that goal.

I really didn't expect Kaji to have this short-tempered personality. I thought he was a more calm and quiet type. It's surprising, but refreshing. Ren Kaji welcome to my wind Breaker bf list 😩🔥

Tbh to have someone like Nirei in your team is damn amazing. He will literally be the intel guy in the group where in gans and groups like this is mega needed. And of course Suo which is obvious he is good at forcing people to spit out the truth. This team will be amazing.

I honestly love how slow they are with sakura's character development!! it perfectly shows how hard it is for some people (like me) who just don't know how to open up to people and let them in.... He started to behave less shy but more confident and i'm sure he will get better and better. And i like that it didn't take 100+ chapters for this development and in the same time the few chapters that showed his growth didn't seems forced either. Also i love our mc so much he's just so cute😭

Suo knows how to manipulate Sugihita to force them to come with them XD. NOW LET'S GO AND BEAT THE HELL OUTTA THOSE FKRS (⁠⌐⁠■⁠-⁠■⁠)

I usually am not a fan of shounen mangas and only started it 'cause we have it in my library but RAHHH the story is so good i love how the stakes are low just enough to not feel like a typical shounen and high enough to keep me on my toes. I LOVE all the characters i swear i just want to open the wind breaker wiki and spend my time reading about them but i don't wanna spoil myself (me not wanting to spoil myself? rare). Sakura is such a cool tsundere i'm rooting for him so much. There's just one more volume left in the library so i'll have to finish the series online :(

Si no estoy mal, aquí es donde termina la temporada 1 del anime. La verdad es que lo que ha hecho este volumen es que me dé muchísima curiosidad por Kaji, porque he recordado que en la segunda temporada no vemos mucho sobre él y ahora quiero ver más tbh. De Sakura también me da muchísima curiosidad saber más cosas, sobre todo porque por ejemplo por qué no tiene contactos ni nada?? Yo quiero ya que expliquen eso

I love how the anime sticks with the manga as well.
Sakura now being the leader of the 1st year students but still in denial with how he enjoys the company of his fellow students.

I love that no matter how much he denies it, he will always help someone in need.

Man, I really liked Kaji. He was pretty much the only character who had my interest at first sight. Best character design too in my opinion. This volume introduced him properly as a significant character. His personality wasn't like what I expected, but I kinda liked it. Dude was cool.

Hostia m'ha encantat aquest cinquè volum. No només veiem més del dia a dia del Fûrin i com es divideix la banda sinó que hem conegut els quatre reis celestials i l'Umemiya ha tingut els seus moments estel·lars i a més hem conegut un dels delegats de segon any que tindrà un paper fonamental en el proper volum. Els propers capítols prometen molt.

J’enchaîne les tomes mais il ne m’en reste déjà plus qu’un seul à lire.. Alors pouvoir enchaîner comme ça les uns après les autres c’est bien mais en même temps après tu te retrouves sans rien et surtout, tu te retrouves à devoir attendre de te procurer la suite. Et ça c’est si cruel. À chaque fin de lecture je me dis vivement que je me plonge dans la suite, ça va tellement vite à dévorer en plus! On ne voit vraiment pas les tomes défiler. C’est toujours aussi passionnant, voir de plus en plus même, on découvre toujours plus de personnages etc. Bref, c’est un manga fascinant.

Dans ce cinquième tome, après le combat contre les Lion Head, une nouvelle vie commence pour Haruka Sakura au lycée Fûrin. Il va y faire la connaissance des élèves des classes supérieures et notamment des délégués, c’est-à-dire les chefs de classe. Des rencontres qui vont l’amener à voir les choses sous un nouvel angle. Mais un élève du lycée a un comportement pour le moins étrange et semble cacher quelque chose. Face à la menace des Keel, une bande à la très mauvaise réputation, Sakura et ses camarades décident d’agir !

Evidemment, sans aucune surprise, j’ai plus qu’aimé ma lecture. Ce tome était excellent du début jusqu’à la fin. J’ai encore beaucoup rigolé d’ailleurs. Sasuke me fait toujours beaucoup rire malgré lui. Déjà il a du mal à comprendre le fonctionnement de la bande mais en plus il a toujours cet air grognon qui me fait bien rire. Il a tellement de mal à nouer des relations avec autres en vérité.. J’ai adoré son comportement dans ce tome. Il a été élu délégué, pour son plus grand bonheur d’ailleurs, et mine de rien il va montrer ici qu’on peut vraiment compter sur lui. La façon qu’il a eu de garder un oeil sur Anzaï, c’était limite beau je trouve! Mais c’est surtout de voir l’unité qu’ils forment tous ensemble. Un des leurs a des problèmes ou ne va pas bien? Tu peux compter sur tout le monde pour te venir en aide. Quand je vois cette fin, j’ai tellement hâte de me jeter sur le prochain tome parce que là, ça va être explosif carrément! J’ai beaucoup aimé découvrir Kaji, c’est un personnage assez mystérieux et qui a un drôle de comportement mais j’adore! J’espère que l’on aura l’occasion d’en apprendre un peu plus sur lui, je le trouve si intéressant!

Ce manga ne cesse de se hisser un peu plus à chaque tome dans le top de mes mangas préférés. Dès les premières pages du premier tome j’étais déjà à fond mais plus j’avance dans la découverte des tomes et plus je deviens vraiment dingue de ce manga! Il est absolument génial! que ce soit l’intrigue, les personnages, l’ambiance, l’humour et j’en passe, tout est absolument parfait dans ce manga!

and that wraps up season 1 and volume 5. suprisingly the whole teacher school thing hasn't bothered me at all now that i'm past ch 10. my brain has accepted this as a power of friendship story and a how much can we beat each other up to heal each other story.

I love my Furin boys so much 💖😭💖 I just wanna hug and give forehead smooches to all of them 😩

First of all, I absolutely adore how all the first years immediately supported the idea of Sakura being their class leader. Sakura is still so used to thinking of himself as a loner that he hasn’t fully realized yet that his actions have had a positive impact on the impression the people around him have of him. Everything he’s done has shown the Furin boys that he’s worth following, but Sakura doesn’t even fully get it because he’s still mostly acting on his instinct and principles. It was sweet to see how nervous and overwhelmed by emotion he was realizing that the boys trust him and rely on him. I adore my meow meow 💖🥹💖

This volume also brings us the proper introduction to my beloved Kaji. I love that he’s such a parallel to Sakura. He’s learned to rely on others for support, but he often still gives the impression of being more aloof and keeping to himself. However, he’ll still immediately step in to do the hard work when necessary. He cares about his community and helping others even if he’s not always the most effective communicator. It’s great! I’m really looking forward to more of his interactions with Sakura as both of them still have so much more growth they need to do.

As for the beginning of the Anzai storyline, I love that this is the first time we really get to see Sakura step up as a leader. It’s Nirei and Suo that nudge him towards the importance of learning what’s going on with Anzai, aka it’s part of his responsibility as class leader, but it’s ultimately Sakura’s own decision to investigate further and decide to do something about it.

Anzai himself is another character that I really appreciate and is relatable. He’s been hiding for a bit what’s going on with him because he saw it as a “personal matter.” He didn’t want to bring Furin into it because it wasn’t a “neighborhood” problem, but this neglects the fact that Furin is a community in and of itself who’s deeply invested in protecting their own. Therefore, Furin was always going to be involved because Anzai is a part of them. Once again, the story is reiterating the importance of asking for help and relying on others because the people you care about want to support you. Those who truly love you don’t see helping you as a burden. Instead, it’s a sacred duty.

Anywho 💁🏻‍♀️✨ All this to say, I look forward to reading about the events that will unfold 😌

Tengo varias cosas a comentar. Estoy adorando la historia, los personajes cada vez me enamoran más, y me encanta aprender cosas sobre ellos.
A veces tengo un poco de problema para acordarme de tantos nombres, pero espero que con el tiempo se me vayan quedando mejor 😅.

Este volumen comienza con una pelea entre los delincuentes que se metieron con la chica rescatada por Kiryu. Al principio no sabía muy bien de qué palo iba Kiryu, pero he podido ver que se ha unido al grupo a la perfección (y me cae genial). Me encanta su estilo (y que tenga el pelo rosa>>>>).

Me ha hecho muchísima ilusión cuando se han pasado números de teléfono y han creado un grupito entre ellos. Ver cómo chatean, los stickers que usan y las respuestas entre ellos me parece una faceta monísima. Soy super fan de las respuestas de Tsugeira😭😭.

Más adelante, al escoger a un capitán de clase era bastante de lógica que iba a salir Sakura como elegido. Y me ha encantado el detalle de que haya sido Suo quien lo haya propuesto, pero que además todos los compañeros de clase hayan sido tan entusiastas con la idea. Parece una clase malísima dios mío, quien pudiera tener una así (y mira que en teoría son delincuentes😭).
También me gusta mucho lo overthinker y tímido que es Sakura con todo. Se nota que se preocupa por ser un buen líder, porque está todo el rato pensando en qué es lo que debería hacer y trata de ayudar al resto siempre que puede. Además, tiene en cuenta lo que le aconsejan sus amigos. Me parece un personaje que, aunque por fuera se hace el duro, en verdad es una masita.

En cuanto a Kaji, el líder de la clase de 2do, me ha costado entender sus motivos (como a Sakura, básicamente). Y creo que todavía hay bastante por ver de este personaje, por eso de momento no sé exactamente qué opinar de él.
Pero me ha hecho mucha gracia que lo que se le hubiese perdido a la anciana fuera un gato, y ver a todo el instituto persiguiendo a UN GATO EN PLAN JAJAJDJSHDJ.

En cuanto a la trama relacionada con Nagato y Anzai, tengo ganas de ver cómo continúa la historia (y de ver a Suo peleando sisoypidoperdon 😞).

Still enjoying this over-the-top fighting manga🤗 The fights are nice and efficient, without the drawn out battles and endless flashbacks you get from some series. I really like that the guys are mostly all good hearted and supportive of each other. It’s a very united school…bough I’m not sure I’ve seen any teachers or classes going on yet 🤣 it’s also nice that Sakura is learning that other people aren’t necessarily perfect leaders, they do what they can with the help of those lifting them up.

Sakura is elected class 1 leader without his agreement, and he is feeling his way into leadership and what it means to him. He has the support of a great group of classmates, and is slowly integrating into the class. Chasing cats and all out brawls make you closer, of course! I’m not always a fan of shonen series but I love the few that have this type of camaraderie.

At some point we’ll have to find out what makes Sakura so wary of forming connections. I’m guessing acceptance of his differences (his dual colored hair and eyes for example) wasn’t in his experience.

I was hopeful, but to be honest I didn't expect to like this series as much as I do.

In this volume Sakura gets to experience some time at school with his new classmates, and he learns that his class will need to nominate a class captain. He also gets to meet the Four Kings, and learns that one of his classmates is getting beat up by a rival gang, even though he's lying about it to the guys at school. Sakura's classmates look up to him, for the first time in his life, and he finds himself in a situation where he wants to help his classmate who is too afraid to ask anyone to back him up.

Episode 2 of the anime is available today, and I can't wait to watch it tonight. I really enjoyed the first one.

This was a fun, quick read. First, we saw the conclusion of the fight between our boys and the creepy guys chasing the girl. There was the picking of the class rep, which was funny and heartwarming. Then we got to meet a few of the second years. Kaji is great. We get to meet the other three of the Four Kings (although we don't get to talk to them yet). And then we finish the volume with the introduction of Keel, and the promise of a confrontation.

I will say, I've seen the anime, so I know what's coming and I'm a little apprehensive. The Keel arc is darker than previous stuff in this series. I'm not looking forward to seeing our boys hurt (both physically and emotionally). I'm definitely requesting the next volume, though.

Satoru Nii has a way with writing multiple characters giving them distinct personalities and never making it feel overwhelming with learning about all these characters.

Wind Breaker Vol. 5 went more in depth with how Furin works as well as the relationships between the characters are it warms my heart that all these boys get along so well despite having distinct personalities and Sakura omg Sakura is such a precious bean I am loving his growth as a character and how the author is making him more 3 dimensional I cannot wait to see the fight between the 1st years and Neel and the outcome this manga series is becoming a personal fave if mine 💜

so delightful to see sakura's rapid emotional development, more accepting, getting softer around the edges. i'm usually not a fan of shonen mc, but sakura? he hits my tender spot. i like to know about him more or reading all his panels. he was drawn and written with love, i can see he'd slowly pick up his friends' little habits, gather and collect them and turn it all into sakura's own mannerism. this is pretty much a fast-paced one and it suits he manga so well.
another character's detail i noticed is, suo is very attentive and perceptive. he OBSERVED, and precisely put two and two together. what a splendid personality, his character compelled me.

Sakura meets two more of his classmates and gets to know them in the best way: fighting side-by-side in a street brawl. Then they exchange numbers and we find out Sakura can't keep up with text chat.

But next it's time for the class representative class leader election and a crash course in exactly how that works when it comes to Bofurin. And to be 100% honest, it's actually good advise for anyone who wants or needs to be a leader. Plus there's hardcore parkour.
