Sparks fly between a PR rep and an A-list actor who want nothing to do with each other.

Leni Steele might be looking for love, but she’s definitely not looking to be someone’s fake date. Especially not one of the most infuriatingly handsome and annoyingly cocky actors on the planet, Duncan Raz. But when the owner of the PR firm for which she works forces her to walk the red carpet on his arm, she has no choice. Neither wants to be there, much less with each other. They’re like oil and water, and he gets on her last nerve. But after a few tequila shots, that’s not all he gets on. What was supposed to be one date turns into a media frenzy they can’t afford to ignore, and Leni has no other option than to continue the ruse. All the fake kisses furtive glances, and seductive touches eventually start to feel very real. But Raz didn’t earn his A-list-actor status for nothing. Is he just doing what he does best? Playing a role? Or is Leni the leading lady in Raz’s real-life love story?

I don't think I can say enough positive things about the books that Melissa Foster writes. She has a way of penning a story that grabs your interest from the very first page and makes you feel as if you are part of the family and have a front-row seat to everything happening. Which is why I love reading her books so much.

Duncan "Raz" Raznick is an A-list actor who needs a fake date for a charity event to get the paparazzi off his back about his breakup from actress Jacinda Carr, so his PR rep, Shea Steele, enlists the help of her cousin and employee, Leni Steele. She isn't happy about it, but, she's the only one that can do it...so their fake date takes place, and the fun doesn't stop there. It would be an understatement to say they have chemistry because 𝑫𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒆𝒏𝒊 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆!

Throughout the years, I have said countless positive things about Melissa Foster’s writing skills and sometimes I feel like just coming up with a nonspecific review that I could just copy/paste to every book I read of hers because she is that good!! I’ve run out of words kids and it’s becoming more difficult to convey just how profoundly good these stories hit!

If you’re having a bad day ⇒ read any Melissa Foster -funk story
If you’re in a book-funk ⇒ read any Melissa Foster story
If you’re just feeling blah ⇒ read any Melissa Foster story
If you feel like celebrating life ⇒ read any Melissa Foster story with a glass of wine LOL
If you’re feeling any kind of anything ⇒ read any Melissa Foster story!!

Why? Because they’re uplifting, they will fill you with hope, they will make your heart smile and you will *happy sigh* thru it all and all will be right in your world :) #trust

Wild Island Love, brought together all of those things and then some. I once again found myself so immersed in the story that time had no meaning. I just kept reading and reading. I believed in Leni & Duncan and wanted them to succeed! I loved their wit and their sexy-sexy and I especially loved their journey that flowed thru the stages of enemies to friends and then to lovers. They grew as their journey grew and it was fantastic. Once again, I found myself jealous of fictional characters because I truly wanted to be in their orbit!

So yeah, go do the thing, because you can never go wrong with a Melissa Foster story!

Wild Island Love, the latest book in Melissa Foster's The Steeles at Silver Island, delivered a passionate, heartfelt and entertaining fake dating romance. Once again, Foster takes her readers on a journey filled with laughter, sexy times and heart-wrenching moments.

Regular visitors to my blog know how much of a fan I am of Foster's work. Every book of her I have read resonated with me, and Wild Island Love was no different. I have written so many reviews for work, that I am practically running out of words to say right now. What more can I say, that I have not already said? If you are a lover of contemporary romance and have never picked up any of her books, you are missing out on a lot

Foster creates a world where family and friendship play a pivotal role. Her characters will win you over and the romance will warm your heart while burning up the pages. Wild Island delivered the same effect. It was fun seeing workaholic Leni Steele, the woman who swore she would never again risk her heart again, fall hopelessly in love with A list Actor Duncan Raznik.

The paparazzi have been hounding Duncan since his recent breakup. To stop the paparazzi from hounding him, his Public Relations representative arranged for Leni to be his fake date for a charity event. Leni wasn't keen on the idea, but for the sake of the business she agrees. However, the fake relationship slowly became so much more.

The chemistry between them was off the charts. It amused me to see them trying to ignore their growing feelings for each other. Their many attempts at ignoring the fact that what they shared went beyond a fake arrangement. The lines between fake and reality got blurred the more time they spend together. The situation, grew more complex with the involvement of their families. All saw how much they both cared for each other. Leni, however, did not believe Duncan's feelings were real, after all he's an actor and their interactions were supposed to be an act.

The Steele family was a riot. Readers familiar with the series know of their propensity for pranks. Pranks that will leave you holding your sides from laughter. Of course, Duncan got his share of pranking. He knew how to hold his own though, and gave as good as he got, making him a perfect fit for the family.

Fun, exciting, sexy and heart-warming, Wild Island Love will captivate readers' hearts with its compelling writing, authentic romance and wonderful characters.

This book is one you don’t want to miss. Leni was such a workaholic and closed off to love. Since she worked for her cousin Shea, when Shea needed a date for the handsome, actor Duncan who was getting bad publicity because of his cheating ex she talked Leni into going with him. This started a ruse of the two dating for real. I loved how they both gave each other a hard time, and enjoyed it! Watching the two start seeing each other and the paparazzi trying to get pictures was great. It was hard for me to understand how they could get so close to each other in so many ways, but still talk about it all being fake. Duncan was such a caring, loving person. I think the best part for me was when the two went to Silver Island, as Leni’s mom had invited Duncan. Leni’s family was a blast, and boy did they love to prank each other. The two little niece’s of Leni’s cracked me up half the time. I was laughing out loud so many times. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Received an ARC for an honest review.

I think it's safe to say that Melissa Foster has become one of my favorite authors. Every book she writes is emotional and heartwrenching and sweet and HOT and just fun and Wild Island Love is no different. A fake dating trope is always going to be a good time and when they're attracted to each othe? Buckle up. Watching Raz and Leni navigate this fake dating world was a lot of fun and no matter how are Leni fought...there's no fighting when a Steele falls. I love their dates and I love love love that they're both Mets fans...and the steam is STEAMY.

I was not expecting the conflict and (as usual with Foster) it brought tears to my eyes. The couple is obviously the best part of any book, but we got to catch up with so many of our Silver Island faves in this one thanks to Jules' impending nuptials. And we have a few Steele's left to be paired up...so we know there's more fun to be had. Another one knocked out of the park by Foster.

“Wild Island Love” by Melissa Foster was a small town/fake dating romance that I absolutely devoured! Duncan and Leni’s love story was somehow both deliciously slow burn and oh so spicy, which I loved! Duncan had a certain reputation as a famous movie star, but until he met Leni, no one had bothered to get to know the man he truly was. Even though what they had was supposed to be fake, the lines began to blur the more time they spent together. I really liked Leni as well, I could sympathize with her attempts to guard her heart and how loyal she was to her family. To sum it up, I thought this book was great!!!

This books was amazing!! I loved it 🫶🏻

This one was a surprise and one of the good ones, I loved the story of this couple and even more the fake dating that was so well written for me. Raz is an A-list Hollywood actor (that is one of the most famous) and Leni works in the PR firm where he has his public relations agent, these two by fate have to pretend they are together, at first Leni refuses because come on, she is not open to love, much less dating actors or people from that world, but since her boss is her cousin she accepts; And this is where all the good things start, because you see how they fall in love in such a beautiful and real way, that while I was reading I had my eyes like hearts for these two, I liked their individual stories, how they went through grief and still moved forward. We also have all of Leni's family who are adorable, her brothers, her sisters, everyone in this family made me smile and how did they treat Raz? I just loved it, I didn't see a lot of drama in it and that's a point for me. The ending? has me in love, I tell you.

It was a good read, fast in my opinion, it grabs you and makes you laugh. The spicy scenes? friends, one of the best I've ever read.

Melissa has a way of writing that keeps me hooked and I hope to read all the books in this series soon, because yes, again I'm reading books out of order, but it doesn't matter.

Thanks to Melissa Foster & The Author for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review 📚!!

______________

This book had me all in my feels. I loved how strong willed Leni was, and Duncan's never ending determination to break down the walls she had put around her heart long ago. I love Melissa's attention to every detail and how well she introduces the other characters and their stories, it doesn't feel like info dumping when reading it. Loved seeing Jules and Grant's wedding! I have nothing but good things to say about this series. If you love small town romance, fake dating tropes, a little enemies to lovers, and a man who would make grand gestures to win your heart, this is the series for you.

I'll leave you with my favorite quote from the book- " You love your family, and that's a beautiful thing. Don't ever let anyone make you feel like your family needs to be pushed aside. Once you start putting them last, reality can slip away real quick, and before you know it, you're alone with your ghosts instead of surrounded by the people who love you" Duncan Raz.

I received an ARC copy of this book and am leaving an honest review.
Happy reading everyone!!!

This is an enchanting and vivid romance that transports readers to the captivating world of Silver Island. The book masterfully weaves together steamy romance, relatable characters, and a picturesque setting, creating a heartfelt journey of love. While the middle section experiences minor pacing hiccups, the story's depth and charm make up for it. Foster's writing captures the island's beauty and the characters' emotions with a magical touch. The protagonists' chemistry is palpable, and their growth throughout the story is heartwarming. The supporting cast adds humour and warmth to the tight-knit community. Despite its small flaws, Wild Island Love is a must-read for those who seek an intimate and transformative love story set against the backdrop of a captivating island escape.

Wild Island Love is book #5 of the Steeles Of Silver Island, which is a contemporary romance series.

This is the story of Leni Steel who is a successful PR agent and her fiery relationship with A-star actor Duncan Raz. It all begins with a fake date between them which is meant to improve his social reputation. However, the ruse must continue which gets complicated when they have hot sex and admit that they actually like each other.

One of the best parts about this spin off series if the Silver Island setting and the characters who call it home. Each book is either wholly or partially set there and these are my favourite parts. There is mention of other characters from several previous books, which fans will know of; Foster’s stable of loosely related characters makes for a very large family base, one which she continues to expand.

The writing is good and the story flows well, but the actual storyline didn’t quite hit the spot for me, probably because I’m not a city girl, nor a film buff, hence my preference for the action which took place on the small island.

I love Steele family

❤️📖 This is the 5th book in The Steeles at Silver Island series ❤️📖

The series continues and this time it is time for Leni to find the One, who will be able to show her she's worth to be loved and be Nbr.1 priority.

And this person is definitely not Duncan Raz, Hollywood actor, who acts like he doesn't care about anyone and anything.
As they both arenforced to spend time together slowly Duncan shows Leni that he is different, cares and both know what it means to lose a loving person, and because rhe situation needs Leninto act as Dunacn fake-girlffriend she learns more and more and slowly the invisible line between faking and real relationship dissapears and there is no need to pretend.
At the end they both will have to fight their fears and decide if they are worth the trust and be together.

Steele family is such and amazing loving family, they all went through hard time while Jock and Archer were not able to be in one room and even when they were able to reconnect and atart again, I like that Ms Foster shows in every book what every sibling felt and despite good times, the painfull memories stay and involve their lives years after. And it makes these stories more real and brings so many different emotions 🥰😭.

I loved Leni, a hardworking heroin, who knew what she wants from life, and how she changes while spending time with Duncan.
I loved Duncan sensitive side and how he showed Leni to what it means to be nbr.1.

Their chemistry, banters were great and I enyoed every part of the book.

This was a phenomenal addition to a series that I am already head over heels in love with and the perfect happily ever after for these two characters.
The passion & love between these two will consume you while reading, and you'll be thanking the author for it, I know I did.

Leni has been one of my favourite female characters throughout the whole series, and to see just how many sides this beautiful character has was an honour. She is strong and sassy but vulnerable to those she has chosen for her inner circle. I couldn't love her more.
Duncan was the 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 hero to help bring Leni out of her shell in a way that allowed them both to heal, grow, and love.

There wasn't a moment of this romance that I didn't love. From the authors unique style of wit and banter to the passion that nearly set my Kindle on fire, it truly had it all.
I highly recommend it.

This was such a refreshing change of pace to the other fake dating books I've read. First off, Melissa doesn't beat around the Bush. She starts of strong (chapter 3 👀), and we follow Duncan and leni as they try their hardest to keep their fake dating fake.
I loved how Duncan broke down leni's ironclad walls bit by flirtatious bit, he was such a fun and sexy character that it was hard not to love him.The supporting cast were extraordinary, the way they support each other while also giving each other shït...yes sir.

The only thing I would change is that it felt like a long book. Normally in a traditional fake dating romance, you start off slowly then about 20% in they're FD and then it's all about how they're trying not to kiss or admit they're falling for each other. This book kinda skips all the Fluff at the beginning (which, like I said, was a nice change). So, They're just trying to keep the FD fake but failing. I kept looking at how long left I had, then thinking wow really I'm only xyz along?

Also. I didn't like the third act conflict. It just didn't hit right for me. But ya know, each to their own.

I loved everything about this book; the chemistry, steam, banter, and Steele family shenanigans!

Leni and Duncan’s chemistry is H O T. Some might call Wild Island Love a fast burn, but Leni and Duncan are a fast inferno. The best part is that they can’t keep their hands off each other, leading to deliciously steamy scenes throughout the book. (Thank you Melissa Foster!)

On top of that, their banter is incredible. Leni does not give Duncan an inch, always challenging in the most flirtatious ways. I also love Leni because she is tenacious savvy, and confident with work and in the bedroom.

Duncan will have you swooning with his charm, thoughtful acts of service, and a dirty mouth. They have connections in some unexpected ways that provide a depth to their relationship that made me root for this couple, hard. I could not put my Kindle down because I had to know how they got their HEA; the result … perfection.

You meet a lot of people from Foster’s world in this book. Foster introduces you to each character so naturally that I felt like I was welcomed into this big family with open arms.

Wild Island Love is a must-read!

✨Fake Dating
✨Forced Proximity
✨Enemies to Lovers
✨Dirty Talking Hero

•Third Person POV
•Stand-alone, but part of a series

This freaking book! 😮‍💨 Melissa does it again! I absolutely love her book and this book was just too good. It was sweet & oh so SPICY! 🥵🔥

Duncan “Raz” & Leni met when he was supposed to do a campaign for her client. He is an actor and she is a PR agent, whose company represents him. When he needs a date for a charity event, Leni’s boss asks her to fill in. When paparazzi see them together the next morning, they need to continue the fake dating arrangement until he leaves for his next movie. Along the way, the line between fake and real are very blurred.

I LOVED these two together! Leni was so sassy and I loved that the most about her. Duncan was the ultimate dirty talker, but you could see how much he was truly falling for Leni. Add in Leni’s family being apart of this book and it gave you a small town feel as well.

I devoured this book and I can’t wait for the next one from Melissa. 😍

Okay, I need to start by saying that fake-dating is one of my least faves of the romance tropes. This book though?! It was fabulous! I loved how Melissa's writing made both Leni and Raz/Duncan seem so down-to-earth, despite their high-profile careers. Honestly, I forgot Duncan was an actor most of the time because their story was so darn endearing. I also adore when a romance brings the element of families - parents, siblings, cousins, all the family. This book did a fantastic job of blending it all together so nicely. From the beginning, I wanted, so badly, for Leni and Raz to he more than a fake relationship. I also loved the nod to boybands! I could keep going on about this book, but seriously, go read it so you can experience it's greatness!

Thank you to Grey's Promotion and Melissa Foster for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

He wanted to ruin her for all men, little did he know she’d ruin him… gahhh the banter, the angst, the giggles, the realness of this story. Raz’s ex has hurt his image to the press, when Leni’s cousins PR firm is trying to fix, they decide to send her to be his fake date for a charity event, she expects him to be an awful movie star, difficult to deal with; except he shows her that he’s actually pretty perfect and relentless when it comes to getting her to put her work down and do fun things with him. Their relationship has an expiration date so they both try to keep each other at arms length while also trying to sell their relationship to the press. I loved this so much. Raz was such golden retriever energy and I adored it and Leni was the skittish black cat that I found so relatable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s also spicyyyy and the man knows how to use his words. Woof. 😮‍💨 happy release day! @melissafoster_author #bookstagram #books #wildislandlove #romance

Ame esté libro 📖
Sencillamente hermoso

This book caught my interest from the very first chapter. It follows Leni who is a workaholic at her PR firm and one of partners clients needs a last minute fake date. So Leni ends up going on a fake date with the charming Duncan Raz who is an actor.
The sparks they give off and the chemistry is just so amazing to read. I love reading how obsessed with her he is lol.
This book also gives off some amazing banter between the two main characters and can we PLEASE talk about the spice oh my🔥 The ice cream scene lives in my brain tent free lol.

Thank you so much for letting me read your book! I will definitely be reading about all of Leni’s other siblings !

Leni is not a fan of Duncan 'Raz', and she is pushed into fake dating him by her boss who is also her cousin. They have a spark right from the beginning and when he asks her to call him Duncan instead of 'Raz' you just know that he wants there to be more! That he wants things to be real and not just this "fake relationship" for his image. But because they are both stubborn, they both try and hide their feelings and not give in to it, eventually they do of course! I absolutely loved their story, there was banter, chemistry, and spice!!!

Wild Island Love is book 5 in the Steeles at Silver Island by Melissa Foster. This is Leni and Duncan (Raz’s) story.

What happens when your boss asks you to fake date an annoying actor to help repair his media/PR reputation for one night? Tequila shots, paparazzi, fake kisses, role playing or could it be real? Is it just one night or could it be the start of something than leads to a HEA…read on to see where it all ends…

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book. Received from Greys PR. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was outstanding. Leni and Duncan are the perfect pairing. Their chemistry with each other jumped off the pages.

Leni is a force to be reckoned with. Duncan could hold his own with her. He didn’t back down from the hard things and neither did she. I loved how they were with each others family. Also really liked how they were each others cheerleaders and didn’t let the other one take the easy way out.

Really enjoyed the way Duncan handled her siblings and how she handled her siblings both funny and heartwarming. Love this book. So much 🔥🔥🔥

I received an ARC for my review. This book Wild Island by Melissa Foster was really good. I am not one to typically like actors or rockstars or anyone in the limelight. This book changed that. It was so good and the off and on of Leni and Duncan was great. They each believed in “fake” when they needed to believe in the real. This is also wrote in a third person view. Again another thing I normally don’t like but in this case it was really good. You know what’s going on. You know who is talking. The writing is great. I highly recommend reading.

Oh man the sass and banter kept me on my toes this whole book! Raz sure met his match in Leni but boy did she deserve it and her HEA. The ending took my breath away as happy tears streamed down my face and the dress!!! You’ll have to read to find out and you won’t be disappointed.

I love the way Melissa Foster writes, her Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch books are incredible. I didn’t connect with this one as much unfortunately. For me it was the execution of the fake dating trope. Normally in fake dating it’s a slow build after they decide to fake date for whatever reason, and the reason is usually mutually beneficial. The small touches, maybe a kiss to sell the fake relationship that sets a spark that slowly gets them to realize there is something real going on. In this they are forced to go on a fake date for his reputation and PR, they completely hit it off and have a blast, and get right into bed by the 10% mark. Don’t get me wrong, I have zero problems with spice early on. Where can it go from there though in this book? They are asked to keep dating for his PR since it went so well, and it just becomes this never ending, long cycle of being adorable together, then pulling away because they’re scared of the real feelings they’ve basically felt since the beginning. It got really frustrating and tiresome. Like, just talk about it please!! Nothing else happens, there’s no build up of tension or their relationship. I also really didn’t like how her brothers acted, it was truly ridiculous. Leni is a grown ass woman. I get having a word with Duncan about his intentions, because patriarchy is going to unfortunately patriarchy, but they took it way too far and were super intrusive about it. Then it’s slightly played off as “boys will be boys”, which made me grind my teeth.

That all said, I really did enjoy the chemistry and banter between Leni and Duncan. Duncan is definitely hot and swoony as anything, and the spice was so good. Their relationship really was adorable. It might be a me thing, I don’t know. I’d still recommend giving it a shot, especially if you’ve read the rest of the series. Many, many thanks to Grey Promotion and Melissa Foster for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
