Story – 4 stars
This is the second book by the author I’ve read. The first one was the first book in this series which was an M/F. It was just alright for me.
What both books had in common was the dreaded push/pull. One person was pushing for a relationship and chasing after the one who was pulling away and not willing to consider a relationship. What was even more frustrating was that the push/pull went on for the majority of the story with lots of asshole behavior.
As frustrated as I was, I did end up liking this book a lot more than the book one because…M/M…ALPHAS…SWOON. Even though I had to wait a long time for it, I loved how much the MCs came to love each other.
This is book 11 in the series, and I only read book 1 before this one, I didn’t feel the least bit lost reading this book as a standalone.

I feel like I was missing out on so much in this because I hadn’t read anything else by this author. While it was fine as a stand-alone, I feel like it would be super helpful to read the other parts in this series. I don’t know a clue about bikers or anything so this was so confusing for me. I had no idea what any of the technical terms were but that’s my fault. Regardless of that, I still adored the story and the characters.
I thought it was super well written and both characters were well developed. It was an unfortunate situation and kinda had a star-crossed lovers vibe. I appreciated that while this had a happy ending, it wasn’t unrealistic. Both characters were in unfortunate predicaments and the ending we got was the best that they could have and that’s why I really loved this. I also thought their chemistry was incredible and the smut was hot as HELL. 8/10 steamy. I love m/m smut soooooo much. I love m/m books.
The one thing I will say is that there was a really heartbreaking moment in this book that’s a super sensitive topic and I don’t think there was enough attention around it. I really needed more from this since it’s such a significant moment/memory of Nash’s and it’s a big addition to who he is as a person, and I’m frustrated that we didn’t get a moment where he discusses it and gets to free himself of that. While eventually he tells Cross about it, we don’t get to see it and I’m sad about it. Anyway, other than that, I quite liked this. It’s so hard to find good m/m books that impress me. There’s not nearly enough of them.

For a romance set up between men in situations that are not compatible, this felt like a realistic outcome. That said, for a romance, sadly, it was the most unfulfilling HEA I've read in a long time. Cross wants kids and family. That is just so depressing when I think of the kids being in the middle of that messed up agreement between Nash and the MC. Ugh. That was just too sad to call a romance.

The audiobook was alright.. bummed I want to find a good MC MM romance but have yet to find one..

No true brotherhood for Nash
This was hard to read. I don't feel she did the m/ m justice . Maybe this was her first one to write don't know .I read all kind book as long as it hits my interest. Read a lot on mc and m/ m books. It's like she wanted the club to be true ( not fiction) motorcycle club in world where a gay member would not be welcome and more than likely killed or hospitalized. But this is fiction and the best she could come up with was , we accept you want whoever you want but not really. We will mouth the words but for real you got to hide that shit.. And not just because he was a cop like she tried to push .. Oh no made sure to say you can keep the dick at home ...But can't bring to the club ( that we graciously let you stay in ) the functions Dick Can't ride on your bike. Nothing . Don't bring dick to us to accept. No old man . No! But we agree that you love a man yep that's ok .😒
So if this was reversed and they told D ,Zak,Hawk, or Jag that they could not have an old lady. Could not bring them to the club . No club parties not be on any club property.... nothing . Just keep her out of sight out of mind what would happen?
She made Nash less loyal less loving less devoted less everything to what and who he loved ( even tho I don't recall him ever saying the words . Cross either might have missed that). She made him continue to hide in the closet but not . Here what I'm saying?
Also made me think less of this club and their spouting their family talk. Their wants any their personal needs out weighed their full family all way around. No standing up for Nash just saying yep you bi that ok and next breath telling him to hide it ....CLOSET as his colors .Would respected Nash more if he actually left the club that didn't accept him for who he was ..a bi man that fell in love. She needs to stay away from m/ m romance .especially with the mc romance . She left a bad taste in my mouth with it.

I really didn't know how to rate this one. I sat between 3 and 4 stars, because though I've read plenty of m/m stories, even love a few, it's always just a little bit odd to me. When I see two very beautiful Alpha Males surrendering to the love that dare not speak its name.. but the emotion and reality behind the circumstances here, could not be denied. It was heartbreaking and beautiful to watch. It took me away from my comfort zone yes, but it still made me care about Nash and Cross. Their circumstances and fears. Their love.
This one was hot. Funny. And an angry tear jerker too. It broke my heart. What occurred with these two males and their loved ones way before they even knew each other. And what would ultimately happen in the present.
This one ended on a bittersweet note, but it was the only ending that made sense for these two. When you have someone like Nash and his chosen element, and you have someone like Cross with his, who are trying to co-exist, be happy, there was no other way for this to work out. The theme "Give and Take" was said and referenced constantly here. And their ending certainly shows that they had to do this in spades in order to get what they wanted with one another, while keeping the other things that they hold dear as well.
So their ending made me happy but also sad for them. Cause at the end of the day their HEA was not complete. Which is unfair but the reality. But it left that sweet tone that maybe one day it would be complete.
If you tackle this one, just know there are some deep triggers here so take heed.
It's also erotically raw, and sensual with its reveals.
If you are a fan of the M/M biker love, then I would recommend this read.

This one was interesting on a couple of levels. First Nash, the band has always been around in the back ground, so it was great to get to know him better. I hated how he had to hide so much of himself from his family, but his blood family showed him that he better. I thought more of the guys would have an issue with Nash being into guys, was so glad that wasn't the issue, more it was what Cross did. Now that might have been different had Nash not been in the club for 20 years, but luckily it worked out in that way for Nash. I also liked how honest Nash was when he was called into a meeting. He flat out told them he would give up the MC for what he had with Cross. That had to hit them hard and I was glad how things worked out there, even if I hate that Nash still has to keep so much of his life away from the MC.
Cross didn't fare much better than Nash when he let his job know some things about his life. I worry that Cross won't get the help he needs when out working now. I don't know how a person feels safe when that is your life. I also think it's interesting that Cross knows that if he gives up his job he will be welcomed by Nash's family and already was starting counting down the years.
I think for now Nash and Cross have the best they can without one of them giving up something vital to their lives, so we and they will have to be happy for that.

Not bad... Spoilers..Sorry
I felt this book almost all the way to the end. Nash was so different then what I thought. And Cross was like a charming stalker. Seriously. I tiered up and smiled. But I was really bothered that there were no dramatic ending. Maybe it's just me. But I don't feel right with that end. I almost felt flat for me. While I understood on some level why they weren't thrilled that Nash hooked up with a cop. I don't feel they really respect the members of their club enough to be at least coolly polite with cop partners. Axel still not my favorite but he has to put up with so much bs that I don't feel it justified. And Cross didn't even get a chance. Maybe in 15 years? I do not think so. And we get a few glimpse of their past. Some detailed description but I don't believe it was necessary if they don't go anywhere. So while I complain like that I liked the story itself. Just the ending bothered me. Oh and the "scenes" were hot... 👌 👍

Phenomenal! That’s the best word I can use to describe my love of this story and these characters. It’s sexy, and heartfelt and painful but in all the best possible ways!
On paper Nash and Cross should never work as a couple yet I can’t even fathom either of them ever belonging to someone else. Their chemistry is explosive and their love for one another is pure but that doesn’t mean their road to a HEA is an easy one.
I commend Jeanne for keeping this story honest, even though it can be emotional as a reader when things aren’t always wrapped up in a pretty shiny bow, she kept true to the characters and the situation.
Nash and Cross never quit on each other and that to me is the best ending for a love story ❤️

Oh man, was this a great listen, Nash and Cross are two very different types of men they just come from different worlds neither one knew what they were getting into with their chance meeting.
I loved the sparks and the grit and the fight for love this book had. I love how these two fought against their own feelings because they both live such very different lifestyles it was near impossible to see a way they could be together. I loved the way they fought to be around each other knowing how much getting caught would not only hurt but wound them. I loved the fighting for what you want in the end no matter what it cost. Fighting for the one you love.
There is no better love story than that.
I want more, more, more, Jeanne we know can do bikers well I mean hot dang any of the Dirty Angels books will show you that. But I had reservations on MM bikers, and I can tell you right now she NAILED it. I mean it was everything and more. I loved these characters and can we talk about the narration, please.
The fact that Aaron and Teddy are not only two of my favorite narrators but holy man was this a hot book. These guys put emotion and inflection and made you feel the heartache the torment. I just can’t get enough. This series is going to be a huge hit.

This is an MM story and wow, what a fabulous book to listen too as the narration by Teddy Hamilton and Aaron Shedlock was spot on. I have been waiting for what seems forever for this story in audio but boy was it worth the wait. From start to finish Jeanne St James and the narrators drew me in and kept captivated with their narration as they brought this story to life for me.
I love Ms. St James’s writing, she packs such a punch into her characters and her stories. Raw and gritty there is something about this book that truly captivated me and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

So sad and disappointed
I have enjoyed the men in this series who are so dang loyal and loving of their women. But this one trashed all the love I was feeling for them. I felt so dang sad do Nash and cross. The men who should have had Nash’s back pretty much turned their back on his life because of who he loved. Sure he would be around and still in the MC but he wanted allowed to share his joy and happiness with anyone else. The men kept saying they didn’t care he was gay but you felt their homophobia coming off the pads and it killed me to read. There story didn’t feel complete. It just felt ruined

This book has been on my TBR for a long time. I decided that today was the day I was going to listen! I'm so glad I finally did it. This was my 2nd listen by Jeanne St James. I loved the interaction between Nash & Cross. Nash was so rough & grumpy. Cross was a bit softer but not by much. There was lots of back & forth between these too! I really enjoyed their story. Excellent narration by Aaron Shedlock & Teddy Hamilton.

So this was a new trope for me (m/m) but I love the author so I wanted to try it out. And while it took me a while to get comfortable with some of the scenes I enjoyed the book very much. Cross and Nash have so much against them that you would think they could never make it work but they do! Their story is just as strong and rich as everything else that Jeanne St. James has written. I was NOT disappointed.

Fucccckkkkkk....loved LOVED this one. Nash broke my heart!!! We are only 10 years apart but I just wanted to momma hug that motherfucker! Cross...what can I say??? Never ever ever give up! Cross never did...but then Nash didn’t either...they fought so hard especially before the even knew what they were fighting for!?!?

Nash has been a brother nearly 20 years and in all that time he hasn't settled down. In fact, his wanderlust is growing. His need to make more from his music than free room, board, and beer (and pu$$y) is making him rethink his career plans. If music be the sound of his soul, then his is a dark and mysterious melody. I found it ironic that he had been in a "cover" band for all those years...covering up his real songs just like he covered up his real bent.
Nash may have declared himself "bi" to himself, but in front of his brothers he was full on babe banging biker. But that was just it...he was banging a hole. Sorry to be rude, but this was the crux of Nash. He never let himself be vulnerable, be cherished, be cared for lovingly.
Enter Cross...Literally!!!
Nash did not do "bottom" and Cross preferred "top". So what are two dominant men, each aggressive, domineering, and topping to do??? Give and Take.
I loved the Give and Take between these two men, as one gave the other took, but in the taking there was give. I have read many a MM and what I love most about these stories is the romance and the real interchange and power exchange. Men are different from women (and I appreciate those differences) and Nash called it...he preferred dick because dick was easy.
Interesting how he picked up the most complicated dick in the entire state! I loved this book...If you haven't picked up the Dirty Angels (Zak is a smexy swoon worthy a-hole that you must read!!!), I suggest you do so. There are 10 books leading up to this crossover book. While you don't need to read the other series to enjoy this book, I really can't understand not reading 10 amazing books that build up to this one??? Enjoy!!!

Nash did not do "bottom" and Cross preferred "top". So what are two dominant men, each aggressive, domineering, and topping to do??? Give and Take.
I loved the Give and Take between these two men, as one gave the other took, but in the taking there was give. I have read many a MM and what I love most about these stories is the romance and the real interchange and power exchange. Men are different from women (and I appreciate those differences) and Nash called it...he preferred dick because dick was easy.
Interesting how he picked up the most complicated dick in the entire state! I loved this book...If you haven't picked up the Dirty Angels (Zak is a smexy swoon worthy a-hole that you must read!!!), I suggest you do so. There are 10 books leading up to this crossover book. While you don't need to read the other series to enjoy this book, I really can't understand not reading 10 amazing books that build up to this one??? Enjoy!!!

Ok ok this was a cute Lil Bop to get me back into my book listening 🎶 Groove. I listened to the whole book in one day. Alittle too much yes, no, maybe so. But totally fine other than that. The audio was pretty good also.

I've been anxiously awaiting this M/M crossover story ever since I found out Jeanne St. James was going to write it. And maybe it's my fault for hyping the story up in my head. Or, it could be that I haven't wanted to read anything lately, but I did manage to finish this book in one sitting. I honestly wasn't feeling the chemisty between Nash and Cross, and their story seemed forced in a way. I understand they're both Alpha men, and one is a hard-core biker, but the story didn't sit with me. I didn't have hearts in my eyes like the rest of the DAMC series, but I'm glad that it's finally written. I didn't like the way that the DAMC treats NASH when he finally admits to his feelings, and I think that what they're doing is wrong. I cried so hard for them, and I really hope that things change for them in the future.

This is ugly. There is so much misogyny here, it's staggering. I have not recently read a "romance" that treats women so badly as this book. So this is a prominent m/f romance author?! Does she treat her heroines like this in her other books? It's awful. I have no idea how a woman can write women only as whores or subjugated "old ladies"...
I abhor the motorcycle club "aesthetics", but I fell for the cop/robber trope. I have a weakness of alpha-on-alpha stories, I like to see how they negotiate the power balance. Here it was pure coercion, maybe not rape, but very reluctant sex in the beginning and it made my skin crawl. It's not how it's done.
Also, the plot is so whole-ridden as a dirt country road after a hard winter. So, these two are so in the closet they are in Narnia, but one of them is drinking from the other's glass in a crowded bar where he is performing, then slips his necklace on the other guy in front of everyone?! And nobody makes a peep? No one? Yeah, right.

I do not think my words in this review can tell you how exceptional this book really was. Jeanne St. James created characters that I instantly fell in love with but at the same time two characters that ripped my heart out. Nash, the bad boy biker and lead singer of the Dirty Deeds band, who came from nothing and has been hiding his true colors for a very long time. Cross, the police officer who has a bright future ahead of him, as long as he remains in the closet. A chance encounter takes them both on wild ride filled with hatred but also acceptance. Can they build their own world together? Or are they destined to crash and burn? Emotional overload and intense feelings of what is right and what is accepted makes this book deserve so much more than 5 starts.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This series just keeps getting better and better. Cross and Nash have undeniable chemistry but come from two different walks of life- one a cop and one biker. The ups and downs and struggle to keep their relationship under wraps really made me feel for these 2. It's hard to be a male, biker, cop, gay and bisexual. You can really feel the emotion in this story. I read it cover to cover last night. Great read and great addition to the series!! I love these books.

Omg! This book! All the feels ❤️ What starts as a one time thing suddenly feels like more but they both know it won’t work. A cop and a biker? Not possible.
Nash keeps pushing Cross away while Cross wants to fight for a chance. This could ruin them both. Jeanne St James has a way of making you feel their turmoil, frustration, and hope. There is a HEA but oh it is a hard fought and heart wrenching journey.

Not my favourite in the series. I wasn't really sold on how it all was handled and while I like mm usually, this didn't do it for me. I think it might just be that the series itself is getting too long for me and feels drawn out.
