While renovating an old storage building for the upcoming Savannah Spooky Eats and Inns event, Carlita finds a mysterious cigar box which holds a secret involving some of their closest friends, the “family,” and the former property owner. Fall season is in full swing and the kickoff of Savannah’s new tourist attraction, Spooky Eats and Inns is right around the corner. Carlita Garlucci is thrilled to be a part of the event, certain it will bring new customers to her Italian eatery, Ravello’s.
While cleaning out an old storage building to make room for their spooky stop, Mercedes stumbles upon an old cigar box tucked away on a rafter. They show it to a family friend, who insists it’s part of the Marshland Isles curse and warns them it will bring nothing but bad luck.
Mercedes promptly lists the cigar box for sale online and is almost immediately contacted. One of the interested parties happens to be the former owner of Carlita’s properties.
Playing on Carlita’s sympathies, she agrees to return the cigar box to the “rightful owner,” but before she returns the box, she discovers it holds a secret, one she decides to hang onto.
Within hours of giving the woman the box, she goes missing. Carlita starts to suspect foul play, and that she may be in serious trouble.
The more Carlita uncovers, the more she realizes the box’s secret involves close friends and the “family.” Will the Garlucci family’s haunting past finally be their undoing?

Perfect mystery
Carlita, family and friends have a journey full of twists, turns and lots of surprises. You will be waiting for the next twist in the story. Love these characters. They show great strength and smarts. Would love to hang out with them , if only for the food. Get a comfortable chair, you won't want to put this book down

Another winner book by Hope Callaghan
Carlita, Mercedes and Tony get themselves involved in more scary business right around Halloween. An empty building on their property is being restored to a scary house as the neighborhood decks itself out for some fun for all to celebrate Halloween. Each business has a theme of their own. Upon cleaning out the building, getting it ready for a fun week, an old fashion cigar box is found. Mercedes always on the lookout to make some extra cash decides to post the unique cigar box for sale. From start to finish of the story, mystery and mayhem set the tone for the rest of this new installment on what is going on in the life & exciting times of the Garlucci family of Savannah. Hope Callaghan is at her very best again in this continuing
family saga.

Haunting Past in Savannah is book #19 in Made in Savannah Mystery Series.
Carlita and Mercedes have another exciting mystery to solve when they found a hidden cigar box while cleaning out a room and that box leads them on a mysterious journey.
This is a fun fast-paced good exciting read that keeps me entertained and engrossed in finding the mystery. It's full of twists and turns that keep me glued to the seat from the beginning to the end. This book is well written with unique storyline and truly entertaining with interesting and well developed characters. I truly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it and all of Hope Callaghan's books to any cozy mystery fan. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and hoping to read the crossover book between this Made in Savannah series and the Millie's Cruise Ship Mysteries series soon.

Wow, what a gem of a book!
This was one of the best Made in Savannah books that I’ve read. Absolutely loved it. What Carlita and her daughter get up to is amazing! You’re still In suspense all the way through the book. Ms Callaghan knows how to keep the mystery going. Amazing that she still finds ways to write about Carlita‘s place. Love it!
I’m glad Carlita and Pete finally got together and cracked up at their honeymoon situation. I think the two are great together.
I think Tori and her adventures traveling would be a wonderful series. Let’s hope!

I always expect excellence from Ms. Callaghan’s books and this one is another winner! While preparing to turn their dusty old storage building into a spOOktacular fall festival space, Mercedes and Carlotta find an old wooden box which holds secrets. A great plot, colorful characters and wonderful storytelling kept the pages turning. Highly recommended! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to her next one.

A cigar box is found with a large diamond. Could this be part of the gems the garlucci family found in the first book. !Louise DELMARO a mobster wife shows up and carlita is afraid the family has found them. Suddenly Louise goes missing and the cigar box has been tampered with including a blood stain. Carlita pirate Pete and Elvira join forces to solve the crime. Love this series

Review of this book .
A really good read. The drama and suspense was over the top. I do not know what is worse. Having the "family" after you or a crazed killer after you. The ending was just ad good as the rest of the story. A surprise character showed up, well more than one. So the suspect list grew. Elvira kept things hopping with her obsession for getting rich quick and easy. Who knew that she would actually start acting human? A thoroughly enjoyable read for anyone.

Perfect Spooky Read
Hope Callaghan’s books have always been a delight for me to read and this does not disappoint! I am thrilled that I have a signed copy of Haunting Past in Savannah and waited patiently for spooky season to read it. It has everything such as gem smugglers, mysterious clues, a fall festival that sounds amazing and even a missing person. It made me laugh and shed a few tears. Such a delightful mystery that is set in October. Highly recommend this book and this series.

Another great read by Hope Callaghan. A case of Carlita family and the cigar box.
How can a cigar box hidden so many years stir up so much trouble. Love Elvira - Never know what she will do. Her and Carlita are a force. So do we have a new series for Tori travels. A good mystery is always good for a wedding.

A fantastic book
The Carlucci family certainly get themselves into some mysteries. They find an old box with a skull on it and a sticker with numbers is the only thing inside the box. Quite a few people seem interested in the box but are they friends or foes? I really enjoyed reading this book. I hope there will be more.

What a great addition to this great series!!! so many twists and turns you had me guessing Hope lol

Excellent
I really enjoy the "Made in Savannah" series. I'm not exactly sure why, but this is my favorite from all Hope's series. I enjoy some of the others, but this is my clear favorite. Hope has a way with plots and words that make for a delightful read. I'm happy to give her a five star!

Another Great Read
This book is full of surprises and suspense. Once again, Carlita and her family are able to outwit the culprits who are out to destroy them. It was hard to put the book down as I wanted to know what the outcome would be. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

The final book (19) in the Carlucci family adventures in Savannah is a great wrap up mystery. I enjoyed the characters in this silly, crazy, unbelievable mystery series. I had to keep reading to find out what happened with the cast of characters. Each book is a quick read & in every one Carlita & gang solve a mystery, where usually one of them is a suspect in the crime.

Spellbinding read...Mob-Style
An attention grabbing story with a twisting plot. The Garlucci family's past ties with the Mafia has once again placed them in the middle of danger with a mystery straight from the grave. This is an excellent cast of characters and I hope for many more stories about them.

Savanna cozy with no gore, set or graphic violence
The Garlucci family is drawn into another mystery when they find an old skull cigar box on the property. Trying to sell it brings them trouble and again contact with the police. I really enjoyed the tale, it's engaging and fun.

So much fun!
This book was so much fun to read! As always with this series, the characters really grab a hold of you, and you find yourself immersed in the story surrounded by beautiful Savanna and Tybee Island. Can't wait for more!

I didn´t realize this book was the end of a series. There were scenes that referenced things but never really explained, so I felt confused.
I did enjoy the characters and was surprised at the end.. I look forward to going back and starting with the first book and reading through the series.

I love this series! Just enough mystery without being gruesome. Can't wait for the next in the series. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a fast but excellent read.

best series ever.
I have really enjoyed reading all 19 of these mysteries and getting to know the family and the neighbors. The food was also interesting and made me buy food and flavors they talked about. And love that it was a clean story. Very good.

A great cozy
I love all the wonderful characters in this series by Hope Callaghan and I can't wait to see what happens next. If you love cozies with characters you will love and a story that keeps you turning the page then this series is a must read.

Fun read
I love these books. There is always so much going on in their community. And of course always a mystery. Carlita and family just can't leave the other "family" behind them. I just want to go to Georgia and hang out with them for a week or two!
