Sammy I want to be hurt. I want to be a baby. I’ve never found someone who understands that I need both until the night I’m kidnapped and told to save the life of a hitman.
Creed I’m a cold-blooded killer. I’m a soft Daddy. Sammy healed my body and only he has ever reached the heart I’d incased in ice.
Together, we shouldn’t work but we do. When Sammy’s ex returns and threatens my boy, there is only one thing to do—protect Sammy at all costs. I’d burn the world down for my boy if it meant I could hold him in my arms forever.
TW/ CW – This book contains flashbacks of past sexual and domestic abuse for the MC. Flashbacks scenes of murder from the MC POV. Scenes of rescuing sexual victim and domestic abuse victim and murder (non-MC.) Please proceed with caution or skip this book if these could trigger you. Your safety and well-being is more important than reading this book.
This book contains MM sexual content (men having sex with each other), age gap, Daddy/ little relationship, ABDL, public sex, rough sex, spankings. This book is an exploration of a relationship between two (male) consensual adults that are looking for love and acceptance. All characters are over the age of consent. No cheating or cliffhangers.
Creed and Sammy were actually an established couple. The were both daddy/dom and little/sub so you get to enjoy both worlds ;) The story of how they met were told as flashbacks. Add that with some kind of plotline of Sammy’s ex returning and you got the whole book. It was an interesting concept actually, seeing I loooove established couples.
I enjoyed every single moment they share as daddy/little. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a lot. but hey, it’s age play, my fave hahahah. This is 3 stars because I couldn’t relate to any of the side characters, but they all seemed so important in the group. And I just didn’t care. Also, there were too many flashbacks I skimmed :’)
The whole storyline with the “ex returning” was okay, I was expecting like the ex was more involved with Sammy, but no. Overall, it was fine, not entirely bad.
M/M, hea, hitman/nurse, DD/lb, age play, not standalone, ku, dual POV
I wanted to like this book because I'm also in health care and I relate to Sammy (the main character). However, I just couldn't get into it. Yes, the book had typos but that wasn't the hardship in reading the story. The story is told with these constant flashbacks trying to piece things together but it really just made things confusing. There were lots of "fade to black" moments which was frustrating. I think due to the short length of the novel there was more scenes with dialogue to tell people how they should feel rather than demonstrating with actions how the characters feel. So throughout the book I felt disconnected.
We're back on more solid ground after the mishmash of the previous book. This one is more romantic suspense but with strong fluff and kink. Creed and Sammy are an established couple and everything about their past is told via flashbacks. I'm not a huge fan of *being told* important things, but it's not too bad here. A lot of tough topics, which are actually dealt with fairly well, but the book is too short for them to be explored properly. Still so many errors in this series, lots of wrong character names and weird/broken sentences.
Nurse Sammy wants some pain but he also wants to be a Little and have a Daddy. He never found anyone to understand him until he is kidnapped and told to save the life of a hitman. Creed is a cold-blooded killer but he is also a soft Daddy because Sammy healed his body but also reached the heart that Creed had increased in ice. As much as it would appear that they don't work together, they actually do very well. When Sammy's ex returns and threatens him then Creed will protect his boy at all costs even if he had to burn the world down.
I loved this story with the abusive ex, the caring nurse in Sammy who cares for everyone whether they are homeless, a hitman, or anyone in the hospital that he works in contrasted against killer Creed who is a product of his childhood and the environment he grew up in but who now rescues the innocent and makes sure that they can have a future. The dynamic between them was full of passion and love and I was thrilled that Sammy was included in the team by Jayme as well as included in the Littles with their Daddies. finally, they both had happiness (which was well deserved). This was a mature MM story with a BDSM-like DDLB relationship including diapers, spanking and both public and rough sex. There are some mentions of historical domestic abuse, sexual abuse and murder.
I kind of forgot where we left off with Sammy and Creed from the last book. But it didn't take me but a few chapters to get caught up. I really liked both MC's but I do wish there were more of Sammy's kinks played out in the book. I love the little/pain duo and not a lot of books bring both to the table.

Vous me traquez constamment.
I don't know how to explain this but to tell that the voice of the book was weird First: it feels like the first 3 are a different series entirely, and if that's what the author wanted then, good job, it shows. Second: love the whole group/family of hitman going after bad people but I had totally forgot Grant existed and it was really nice having him show up even if it was like 5 seconds Finally: The thing I said about the voice is that the whole series (the first 3 and the others) told us about how they met and how the couples discovered each other but this one was a tentative slice of life that didn't work because the whole "discovering each other" snuck up on us, with flashbacks being used to tell us a bit more about the MCs and their first few "important" moments so we could understand how they're where they are.
I didn't like that. Loved Creed and Sammy tho, I wish we could've had more about them and loved that we got to see the team in action.
Overall, this book feels more plot centered instead of characters/relationship centered which was new for this "series"
Obs.: I just remembered that in other books we are told that Lance and Mac aren't their real names, that they chose them but in Creed's flashback Lance introduces himself as Lance and he's like 6? Also: I was always confused because we're told Lance, Creed and Skinner(which I loved learning his real name and can't wait to get to know) were taken with 5-6yo but those dudes acted like they were teens and not traumatized children! (And I'm clearly more invested into this than I realised oops)
Creed and Sammy made for quite the pair. A hardened killer that’s super soft for his boy and a little who likes pain with his play sometimes. It doesn’t seem like it would work, but it did.
This book jumps straight into the dynamic that Creed and Sammy already have in place. We see how they got there through a series of flashbacks. I didn’t hate this approach, but for someone not familiar with the series, it might be disconcerting. Sammy came out of an abusive relationship a little jaded and finds it hard to trust. He also lacks a ton in the communication department. He really kept a lot from Creed for a long time. Creed also kept things from Sammy because he didn’t want to risk his boy walking away.
Once they start getting honest with one another, their dynamic really flourished. I liked the two together a whole lot and Sammy’s little side was downright adorable. I wish we had gotten to see some of the pain aspect of Sammy’s personality. I imagine Creed would have done well with that.
Overall, a fairly good read and a solid addition to the series. I am highly curious about Skinner and Marco and am looking forward to their story.
I Love how this book was written. I didn’t think I would love it, because of the flash backs and how it started in the middle of the relationship. Yet it really works. I still felt the love and the newness for the couple. I wanted them to work and felt like I wasn’t missing anything. Both these men were hurt in the past, and they found comfort in each other. It was a joy watching them define their relationship. Big bad assin and his mushy side for his love. This does explore a DDLB relationship so if that’s not your thing this isn’t the book for you. I love a great D/b book so I adored them. The writing was great the sub plot has me sucked in. The smexy was Hawt, and the side characters are amazing. There are two others in this group who I’m excited to see them find their person.
This was wonderful story about two wounded people finding each other. Creed had overcome a truly horrific childhood where he was trained to a be an assassin but he met other doms who became friends and colleagues who now worked together to bring down the worst of the worst. Sammy survived a two year abusive relationship with a closeted cop who almost killed him. I loved how Creed became the best daddy for Sammy. The worst was when he discovered that his co-worker Brandon had become involved with Josh and when he failed to report to work for several days Sammy asked for them to look for him and found him handcuffed to the towel rack in the bathroom and he was badly beaten. I loved that the rotten cops got what they deserved since that doesn't happen in real life. Looking forward to reading about Skinner.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Creed is darkly beautiful and deeply emotional, one of the most powerful installments in the series. Sammy’s resilience and aching need for safety are written with raw honesty, while Creed’s mix of danger and protectiveness creates a magnetic, unforgettable tension. Their love feels fragile yet fierce, built through healing and trust in the face of pain.
Steller handles trauma with compassion and sensitivity, allowing the story to balance its intensity with moments of genuine tenderness. Creed’s devotion to Sammy is absolute, and watching them find strength in each other feels deeply rewarding. Creed is both heart-wrenching and hopeful, showing how love can bloom even in the darkest places.
5 stars… I have to go back and read Jackson’s book and I’ll be looking for Skinners book hopefully some time this year. I’ve really enjoyed this series. The flashbacks in this one was different and a little weird but it was fine.
Creed was clearly traumatized as fuck as a child and poor Sammy and his awful ex (*cough* *cough* ACAB *cough* *cough*) we will see how bad Jackson is. Anyways…. I loved how we got diapers and Sammy’s vulnerability right off the bat and when he flipped out and Creed was walking around not sure what to do my heart was ready to break too.
2/5 on spice. 3/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears. Creeds childhood was like… bad bad.
I love the series. I am attached to the character, it’s engaging with enough plot to keep me hooked, but not so dark that I’m perpetually bummed out through the whole book.
That being said. This book and the previous book have serious editing and grammar issues. Spell check is not a fix all. There is scene where Creed is refers to himself as Jackson, someone is “indigent” instead of “indignant”, and at least a half dozen other contextual errors that have managed to activate my eye twitch. Please, get some beta readers, find an editor—you need more than a proofreader. The writing is getting downright sloppy.
This series really fun. Hope her other series improves to be just as good.
I really enjoy Athena Steller books. I have both of her series and like this series the best. Her other one about the paranormal characters is a little disjointed and jumps all over the place. Very confusing. I hope that all the unmated men will find their happily ever after, but with a little more cohesion. So would have scored the boys a solid 4, the other series is just a 3 at most. But I am truly hoping that both series will be a solid 4 if not a 5.
This book has Creed, a hitman and Sammy, a nurse, meeting when Mac kidnaps Sammy to help Creed who's been injured. Sammy would love a Daddy who can accept his little side and his need for pain also. Sammy was able to escape his ex and start over but he is cautious about dating again. Creed discovers he's a Daddy and wants to take care of Sammy but they're both keeping secrets. This is a great addition to the series and couples crossover which makes it even better. I highly recommend this series.
I loved this one, it might have even been the best so far this series and would have been 5 stars but there were a handful of typos in the 2nd half. I know some people are really fussy about that and while I'm not a fan of funding them I'm not usually too upset but these ones were quite obvious. Wrong names used and missing letters completely changing the intended word. I still really enjoyed this story and can't wait for the more.
I absolutely love this series and this author in general. I think besides Mac and Hayley, Creed and Sammy are my favorite couple. I love that other members of the group keep popping up and we can see them all get closer and support each other, as well as seeing more of them get an HEA. Can't wait for the next one!
Creed was exceptional! I enjoyed it very much! The whole series was amazing. There are some editing that needs to be done throughout the series but overall I’m so glad I read this series. I am looking forward for Skinner and his boy. Hopefully there will be one on Jackson as well as a book for Master Finn and Michael. ❤️
I love this series and Creed did not disappoint. The blurb was spot on for this book. Both Creed & Sammy have tough sides and soft sides, and they are perfect for each other. I appreciate how both men were vulnerable and open about the mistakes they made. And, it is great to see stories of a quirky found family. Cannot wait for the next one.
Athena Steller what a writer… I am addicted! I have read all the books leading up to this one and loved them all. This one stepped a little away from the others with the rescues and they were written so well … I laughed and cried with each book. Please continue to write with this kind of passion. thank you.
Sammy and creed are so freaking cute. Creed is just the daddy that Sammy needs in order to be himself fully and it was great to see. I loved that we got to learn more about Creeds pass and how the guys meet in the facility.
Always good to see characters from the other books pop up....looking forward to the next read
Whilst I really enjoyed the first 3 or 4 stories from this series this last couple with the “hitmen” finding their boys have not really hit the mark for me somehow, not sure if I’ll bother to continue with any more from this particular series
I enjoyed Sammy and Creed’s story. It’s sweet, mildly angsty, moderately kinky, and a good addition to the series. I’m looking forward to Skinner’s story and hopeful Jackson will get his own HEA in the near future.
All the books in this series are great! Who knew hitmen could be daddies. Loved the dynamic of the various couples. Looking forward to the next book and the one after that, hopefully?
The books in the series keep getting better and better. I like how the stories and characters are interconnected. The MCs are multifaceted and the stories touch on overcoming trauma and healing.
I love their relationship. It was great reading about a different Daddy/little relationship compared to the other boys. I really enjoyed the story and especially the scenes. There were some typos and continuity errors but none that detracted from the plot
So stinking sweet but also so deep and thrilling! I couldn't put thks down and read this book in record time. I've purchased all of Athena Sellers books and none of them have let MS down! This is my favorite (I've said this about every book so far lol)
These two met in book 4 when Sammy helped heal Creed after a mission. Only problem Sammy ex hurt him so bad he didn't want to a Daddy. Creed was never a Daddy and had slot to learn but you can't tell a hitman that he can't do something.
