I feel my heart has been painfully ripped from my heart and I need volume 11 ASAP so my heart can be whole again! 😭😭😭

Not only was this volume completely heartbreaking, but the ANGST!! Oh my goodness, I felt I was about to lose it with not having answers and worried about what was happening! I SO wanted to flip ahead to see so I could brace my heart, but I was equally worried about the outcome that I just had to endure all the angst and hope my heart would be okay! LOL!

Unfortunately, that angst led to so many upsetting things going down that I really felt like crying for almost all of the second half. It was so painful to read even though the storytelling was phenomenal! I just now desperately need healing and reconciliation to happen in the next volume because this was the hardest volume to read that didn't have any of the light and fluffy "feelings" many of the earlier volumes had.

I would love to say more about the events that unfolded, but unsure of what to say without giving away spoilers. Everything was very well written with the timing was wayyyy too on point with things from the past coming to light.

The only thing I hope for moving forward is for everything to come back together stronger, even if it's hard right now.

that was a much shorter wait then i was anticipating. guess i picked this up at a good time lol

watched colleen's manga recs' video about this and it was really good. but, i think that speaks more to how good of a writer she is and i'm impressionable af so now i think this is a solid shoujo manga. also, as a fellow "cheese in the trap" fan, colleen has my instant respect.

i've started three books this past week and they haven't succeeded in getting me over my latest fictional crush (gong yoon tak:) but psychotic hananoi had me jumping out of my seat. yanderes seem to be growing on me lol.

Man, these volumes get better and better. I really love how Hotaru gets some closure about what had happened to her in the past, and I love how Hananoi is opening up about how they met that day as well. Also I love how we finally get to know about Sakura (non-chan) and why she did what she did.
Also that ENDING WAS SO SWEET. Oh and Hananoi was wrong for what he did but I understood why he did it as well, even if it was a bit crazy.

First, I'm so thankful to the publisher for including the entirety of the current story in one volume and not stretching it out. It was nice to get the full story in this volume. It felt so much more fluid and enjoyable than if it'd be broken down.

Second, this series just makes me feel everything. I love it so very much and it truly is becoming one of my favorites. I love a sweet romance with tension and also a little trauma in the background. It's so good. I can't stop wanting more.
Sometimes a manga will feel similar to our lives. This one in particular is giving me deja vu with experiences I've had in my own life. I feel for Hotaru chan, because I've been Hotaru chan (only slightly different)...I hope that she gets a very good ending, but it's also nice to see her stand up for herself. It feels kind of healing to read.🩷

So emotional. I felt Hotaru’s pain. I, too have had my best friend betray me and I will never get over it. But at the same time, I miss her and the memories.

I loved that Hotaru noticed that Hananoi and Sakura are similar. And she’s right. They love intensely because they want to BE LOVED so badly. Both of them have had neglectful parents. And Hananoi is also correct. They are both lucky to have Hotaru who is so understanding and loves them no matter what.
This series doesn’t shy away from the reasons people do the things they do and I really admire it for that. Dig deep. There’s always a reason.

This volume was so intense, I read it so fast because I wanted to know what was going to happen. I knew that Hananoi wasn’t cheating on Hotaru, but the thought of hurting her just didn’t sit right with me. It was great knowing that he wasn’t going to cut Sakura’s hair, maybe it wasn’t the best course of action, but at least he wanted to protect Hotaru. I’m glad Sakura actually apologized to Hotaru, not because she felt obligated to but because she wanted to. I really liked this volume, even if it was a bit sad. Also, Yao now knows about Hotaru’s hair, which might be hard for him, but he deserved to know. Will Hananoi and Hotaru make up on the next volume?

While it seems everyone wanted to protect Hotaru, they might have all just made things worse in the end. Yao and Satomi are afraid Hanananoi might be cheating on Hotaru, while he's most concerned with what Non-chan is doing back in town and how it might hurt Hotaru. Meanwhile Hotaru is getting lonely and wondering what everyone is hiding from her, especially Hanananoi. All of the shock and secrets ends up in probably the biggest fight ever between the main couple and more than a few hurt feelings.

I can’t believe I went so long in between volumes and just now picked it up. Wow, this volume tore at my heartstrings! We learn more about what truly happened to Hotaru the day her hair got cut and the people involved (in the actual event and who witnessed it). Between the revelations of that day to the aftermath of the truth, this volume makes me hopeful for better relationships moving forward between all the characters, especially between our MCs. Hoping the next volume mends my heart a little bit more (even though I’ve been warned that there are some hard times ahead).

The art is gorgeous as always but everything and everyone is so dramatic is kind of hard taking them seriously sometimes lol and Saki is crazier than I thought, he really is a walking red-flag so I don’t understand why Hotaru is so understating, like, girl, you should really come to your senses, he’s not just “intense”, he’s crazy too.

But oh well, this (ended up being) your typical high school shoujo so what can you expect? I still enjoy it.

I understand what Hananoi was trying to do since he didn't do anything when the incident occurred when they were little, but he should have been honest with Hotaru from the start. If he had been honest, then there wouldn't have been any misunderstandings between them. Hopefully Hananoi will put more trust in Hotaru in future volumes so he realizes that he doesn't have to frighten every battle that comes against them by himself.

Je déteste ce genre de trope avec l'amie d'enfance qui est une pure connasse et qui essaye de se repentir des années plus tard car "ouin ouin je peux pas en dormir la nuit".

Cap 37 - 41. Bastante emotivo. No juzgo a Hananoi porque yo capaz yo también me pongo medio loca en esa situación. El problema estuvo en que no fue sincero con Hotaru y la ha estado tratando como una niña delicada cuando ella ya ha crecido lo suficiente. Lo sorprendete del volumen es que lograron que Sakura me cayera peor.

La aparición de una compañera de la primaria va ha traer el pasado y va hacer peligrar la relación de Hananoi y Hotaru.

Creo que Saki se pasó de intenso está vez y eso que el día anterior se veían tan bonitos juntos.
Que bueno es el apoyo de los amigos. Diga lo que diga para mí Hananoi y Keigo son amigos.
Espero que todo se solucione pronto.

this was a pretty heavy volume....we get the bully backstory AND some seriously unhinged behavior by hananoi, though thankfully it ends up being a little less crazy than it first appeared. thankfully there is still some great cuteness in here, especially in the beginning! hopefully the next chapters are a bit more happy and bring an end to this drama D:

Llegó el drama. Hananoi-kun acorraló a Sakura para advertirle que se mantuviera alejada de Hatoru y todo resultó muy mal una vez que Hatoru los encontró. Mis bebés están alejados y tengo miedo 😭😭😭 Ojalá puedan arreglar las cosas.

El tomo más interesante y más intenso hasta ahora sin duda alguna. Entiendo muy bien a Hotaru, no puede perdonar pero la parte buena y el cariño es difícil de olvidar.

Estaba claro que no iba a pasar nada pero es una escena muy fácil de malinterpretar.

10/24 I'm enamored of the romance but the last two volumes have stepped too far away from it to cover more serious threads and I really haven't enjoyed them. If this doesn't get back to the sweet couple in the next volume I'm sadly going to stop collecting the series.

Hananoi becomes a bit unhinged and I wasn't a big fan of that. However, the rest of the cast shines in this volume, especially Hotaru. She is really maturing. The final chapter was a great moment with some heartfelt dialogue and handled the friend from the past really well.

I loved seeing these two have an actual argument, work through emotions and not be perfect. I also loved learning more of their back story even with Hotaru not remembering it until later on. I can't wait to keep reading this series and then watch Anime. It really is a sweet and cozy read.
