Condemned is the second book in a trilogy filled with fun and adventure. It ends on a major cliffhanger!! Take care that the heroine will end up having more than one love interest. Her partners can shift into demon form, so there might be some monster action – please don’t read this book if you are put off by this sort of thing. If you’re adventurous, hop in because the water is warm…and getting warmer. Make that, hot!
Charlene lives on an acre in the country with her husband, three children and an array of pets including a snake. In her spare time you can usually find her typing away franticly on the computer completely lost in worlds of her making. She is an avid believer that it is the small things that truly matter like the feeling you get when you start reading a new book or a particularly beautiful sunset. Charlene likes to write bite stories her readers can sink their teeth into. Sign up for her latest release newsletter for more information http://mad.ly/signups/96708/join
This book is really just a repeat of book 1. There's a bit more involvement in the plot but really, not too much happens. The two mc’s are still fighting over the fmc, but not in a cute way. There’s no wooing or romancing involved. They literally just argue with each other constantly about why they're the better choice than the other.
I found Quinn to be very woe is me, that she complained a lot, and she couldn't make a decision to save her life (literally). Considering she’s coming into her power in this installment of the series, I really was banking on seeing some huge character growth and maybe some real relationship development. But, alas, it really all just felt the same as the first book did.
This second installment of Becoming the Demon Queen will have you on the edge of your seat! Quinn is learning quite a few things about her past and also her feelings for Thorston and Jesse. Everyone is still after her for one reason or another while she’s still figuring out her demon side. This is such a great storyline and I absolutely love these characters! Plenty of action, intrigue, and very steamy! That cliffhanger! I’ll be on pins and needles until the next book! Very enjoyable and I highly recommend! I am voluntarily leaving an honest review for this complimentary copy of this book
This is a fabulous second book! Quinn is a young demon just discovering her powers, which are pretty erratic. In this book Quinn spends time with Thorston in his Kingdom. They get to know each other better but Quinn still isn't convinced they are meant to be. In spite of her other demon lover Jesse having lied to her, she still has feelings for him. Jesse is.spending his.time in prison waiting to be beheaded. This book is full of danger, steamy scenes and lots.of action. The cliffhanger is killing me! I.cant wait for.the 3rd book!!!
I loved this book! I was just a bit disappointed at how “poor me” Quinn was in this one compared to the first book. I’m excited to see how her charter develops in the next book, hoping she finds her confidence and her u caring of what others think that she had in the first book.
Quinn’s journey into her new life as a demon makes her discover things about her past that make her question once again her feelings for Thorston and Jesse. One thing is for sure: she can’t go back to her old life and must make the best of her new one. A bit of magic, a few unpredictable plot twists and a lot of steam… that’s the recipe for this incredible and gripping story! It ends on a cliffhanger and it is advised to have read book one before!
I love that this one starts right in the thick of the action, exactly where the previous book left off. But what a cracking cliff hanger this one ends on!!! I’m literally sobbing, I have no idea how this can turn around, but I trust that it will! I hope it’s not too long until the next book, I NEED to know what happens, this story is fantastic! I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
I’m really enjoying this new series especially now that Quinn is developing her demon credentials making her very sought after. The relationships she has with Jesse & Thorston are also coming under scrutiny. Lots of hot action & a storyline that moved really quickly to that cliffhanger!! Now I’m on the edge again until the next one. I seriously was so pleased to have been given an ARC copy of this book & the rating was an easy one given the excitement this book generated. Loved it.
Condemned is the second book in the series Becoming the Demon Queen and it seems everyone is after Quinn for her power or what they think she can do for them. Unfortunately, separated from Jesse and Thorston giving her some history about his family leads Quinn to put herself in danger and leads her into a nest of paranormals that she does not want to meet in an alley, let alone their den😳
This book is quicker paced than the first and has a lot going on but I really enjoyed it…and the spice factor is definitely picking up too😉 That ending though…oh gosh, I need the next book quick quick😁
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️
Wonderful second book in the series, the characters and storyline simply great read I have been waiting for this second book to be released as the first book left readers waiting to see what was going to happen to the main characters and I have to say that I loved this wonderful book which is a tremendous read. I guarantee that like me once you begin reading this story you will become totally entranced and have to discover the final outcome, unfortunately I am afraid like me you are going to be left waiting for the third book to be released and I cannot wait for this to happen quickly enough. I guarantee that you will not be able to put this book down once you begin reading it will simply hold you captivated within its pages. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing. I am not going to lie the idea of the series has promise but the execution is boring and tedious with all the flaws of these authors breaking a book that would be a great stand a lone up into a series.
This isn't series worthy. It reads as over wordy chapters broken up and called a book. In fact neither this nor book one were 300 pages so novella is more appropriate term.
Anyways the story gets tedious, she should be learning her powers and be something other than pathetic, obviously there is a tyrant that needs brought down and she is a key because she has all this "power" well this far in and I can't really tell you her power and it isn't really known. The conflict is the two mmc chasing after her trying to win her trust and everyone wanting the powers we never see and she never learns.
At this point the world should be built better, there should be a lot of character growth, and I should give a damn about the story. As it is she will magically understand everything, need to the save the men, defeat the big bad, and live HEA with both mmc's. This is following the script of book writing to a T I just wish it did it in a more interesting way.
I liked the plot of the story, the different multiple povs. It gave interesting perspectives to each of the main characters. I found it dragged in several chapters, more hidden secrets that when they were revealed, it didn’t go well. The fmc is definitely the wishy washy kind of female. She doesn’t listen before judging and making rash decisions that land her in uncomfortable positions. It doesn’t help the guys aren’t fully truthful. Glad Jesse survived. He deserves a shot just like Thorston. I easily skimmed several pages that just so that the chapter would move on. Hopefully the trio can come to some sort of agreement to be honest with each other and not fight. The fmc deserves more than what she’s gotten. 4 days into her original abduction and she barely knows more about their world, or herself. I’ll read the next one, I’m hoping for a happier ending for the trio.
This is book two of the series and more twists follow our lead characters. Poor Jesse finds himself in prison but with a surprising ally. Thorsten and Quinn try to save his realm and kingdom but it’s not easy because the previous King has been greedy for many years and the people are impoverished . It’s so sad actually, but Thorsten is trying. Honestly the main female character is a bit irritating in her naivety but I think that is how the authors wanted her to be. Read on!
I made it to the second book, barely, but couldn’t stomach finishing. Quinn is a whiny, weak character. I wish female characters were portrayed stronger, smarter, and less annoying than so many writers fashion them to be. Maybe the series improves, but with so many great works of fiction to read, I’m not wasting one more second on this. Hopefully you enjoy it more. To each their own.
This one was all over the place. All the FMC does the entire book is whine and then have to be rescued by one of the men. We're told over and over that she's incredibly powerful, more powerful than either male is, but she's never able to save herself or do much of anything. Reading her POV chapters is painful because of how juvenile she is. I keep forgetting this is supposed to be a grown-ass woman. It took me forever to get through this one because I just didn't care what was happening.
Quinn bonded with Jesse in the first book. Most of this installment focuses on her and Thorston developing their relationship. Others across all dimensions are trying to get their hands on Quinn to use her and her power. This book is action packed and full of heat. It ends in a cliff hanger and I'm dying for the next one!
Next chapter in the trilogy. Quin starting to understand herself more. It interesting exciting and hair pulling. Because I need to wait to know what happens next. I am so impatient but I must. It will be worth it. It is a good story and everything good you have to have patience. Enjoy it with me and go on this ride I recieved a copy for a honest review
Condemned, book 2 of Charlene Hartnady and BE Brouillard's Becoming the Demon Queen has the most amazing characters. Thorston and Jesse are every woman's dream mate. Quinn is beautiful and full of life. The three of them together make one hell of a triad. I can't wait to see where they end up.
29% in and this book got off to a very slow start after the cliffhanger from book one was resolved. -1 star for the meandering path to the unnecessary cliffhanger. I just never got as engaged with this book as I did with the first of the trilogy. I intend to read book three. Hopefully the stories come together in a focused plot that moves forward rapidly.
This was awesome with a capital A. This has everything from love, sex, humor, drama and sadness. Yea it ends in a cliffhanger but thank God I don’t have to wait for the next book.
It was ok, I got to the 68% mark and just felt bored. Maybe I’ll pick it up again at some point and finish it but I just am not feeling it. Not really keeping me invested in the story.
Condemned (Becoming the Demon Queen Book 2) by Charlene Hartnady & BE Brouillard. Now that Quinn is starting to come into her powers everyone wants her to help them to reenergise them only the don’t ask before they take.
I’m hooked. From book 1 to book 2, I love this story. I love the characters. I love the character development and the twists and turns throughout the story. Full send into book 3
