Ophelia Wavecrasher is a merfairy who loves to be helpful. When her class at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Academy go on a field trip to Ophelia’s home, things go well until her cousin, Octavia demanding Ophelia’s help. Soon her requests for help, however, become time consuming. Can Ophelia find a way to be helpful while still being true to herself? Will she learn what a true friend means?

The plot is engaging and enchanting. The characters are delightful and easy to relate to. The illustrations are colorful, detailed, and complement the text. A must-read for fans of fairies, mermaids, magic, and fantasy. Recommended for most library collections.

Clever at this point in the series to take us beyond the Academy and give a change of scenery with the merfairies and sea-witches. I loved the visit to the sea, and fans of "The Little Mermaid" will enjoy coming across a few familiar lines from the songs (but the story is perfectly able to stand on its own). Sweet and relatable message. Engaging artwork. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I love this adorable series! The familiar characters, the gorgeous art, the sweet messages. Even though I'm an adult, I still love reading about the students at Bibbidi Bobbidi Academy. I look forward to seeing what Cyrus gets up to with this dragon I heard of! <3

This was a really sweet story about Ophelia, a merfairy who loves to help! Throughout the story, she begins to understand the difference between helping and being taken advantage of for her kind heart. A perfect read about listening to your heart and learning about good/bad intentions.
