From the makers of HorrorHound Magazine, this hardbound full-color tome is the most comprehensive reference guide ever produced on the subject of the merging worlds of horror cinema and comics. This 240-page collector's guide takes the reader through the history of the darker side of the comic book industry – officially licensed horror movie comics. From the early days of comic publishing to the new-millennium resurgence of the art form, find out what horrific horror adaptations were spawned from companies like Dell, Charlton, Classics Illustrated, Gold Key, Marvel & Epic, Dark Horse, DC & Vertigo, Aircel, Adventure, Blackthorne, NOW, Topps, Caliber, Monster, Fangoria, Troma, Image, Avatar, Devil's Due, Boom! Studios, Dynamite Entertainment, IDW, Titan, American Mythology, Full Moon, and more. All the heavyweights from horror cinema are included, including such films as Dracula, Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Night of the Living Dead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hellraiser, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Puppet Master, Army of Darkness, The Lost Boys, Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Hatchet, and more. The issues – the variants – the ashcans – the history! Written by HorrorHound Magazine's Nathan Hanneman.

You can feel the love that went into making this. It's a niche genre of collecting, but if you're interested the research & text are a good read.
