It doesn't work for me. Mr Davis has dug himself into a paranormal hole, so he switches to science fiction of the time traveling kind, complete with paradoxes and alternate timelines. And lots of non-logic. Logic is easy. If A, then B, but not C. And so on. Unfourtunately, Mr Davis wants to eat his cake and still have it... This, Mr Davis, is cheating. In a paranormal setting, we can ignore governments and the rest of the world, we can have local police 'in the know'. If the whole world is affected... The ending was a typical 'deus ex machina'. Very disappointing.
SPOILER SUGGESTION: Just let the baby miscarry. No baby, no catastrophe. The parents don't actually like each other anyway.

Great series. I couldn't put it down. I'm a nurse and I enjoyed the "paramedic to the supernaturals" theme. Seems like there could be another book or 3. You know to clean up some of the loose ends.... Jaz's pregnancy, Joanna's childhood, & what about Artur?
I started reading these because I’m an EMT & the medical side of these books is true to SOPs I’m intrigued with the plot & want to keep going to find what the future/next book holds for Medic Dean.
The poor proof reading thur out all of Mr.Davis's Extreme Medical Services books is distracting but not the only irritation a reader faces. With that warning given let the praise be given for good story telling.
I am really enjoying this series. The medical stuff is very interesting and I like all supernatural aspects . The characters I can see very clearly and are very relatable. Thank you very much for all your hard work. Looking forward to the next
Very seldom do I read a nine book series straight through. I binge read this one. Original characters and varied action with unexpected twists and turns.
Jamie uses the wrong adverbs and nouns so often it gets tiring. He forgets past plot lines...even a few chapters ago. And the conversational style he created between Jazz and Dean is beyond annoying. I can only think that Jamie is a young writer. On a good note his storylines are original and entertaining. But that's it for me.
