Vicious Empire #4

Savage Saint

Rate this book
REGARDLESS OF OUR NAME, WE ARE NO SAINTS.
LUCKILY, THE WOMEN WE LOVE ARE AS WICKED AS WE ARE.

LENNOX SAINT
I am who I am for a reason.
The monster the world sees when they look at me was born twenty years ago to protect my brothers from the same fate I endured on my sixteenth birthday.
After that night, I locked myself away until the night I met Sloane.
She was both forbidden and everything I’ve ever wanted all wrapped into one, but I wasn’t the only one who loved her.
In the end, she made her choice, and it wasn’t me—or so I thought.
Now that I know the truth, I’m taking my life back piece by piece, even if I have to carve it out of the flesh of anyone who stands in my way.
Sloane is mine, and I will die on this hill—but not before everyone else dies first.

SLOANE PENNER
I loved two men once.
I made a choice, but the man I chose didn’t choose me back—or so I thought.
When a secret I didn’t know I had comes to light, my life as I knew it ends in a flash.
Now I’m a pawn in a game with no rules, and I refuse to play the part I’ve been handed. The only way to win is to be the queen, and I’m taking the throne to protect my son.
I’ve lost too much, and I’ve had enough.
I will burn this vicious empire to the ground, and from its ashes, I will rise.

* Savage Saint is the fourth and final book in the Vicious Empire dark romance family saga series.

15 hours later and while I may feel empty inside from finishing this series my heart has never been so full😭

I knew since reading the very first book in this series that Lennox and Sloanes book would be an absolute rollercoaster and Luna did not disappoint with their journey.

My emotions were an all time high reading this book because we were coming to the conclusion of this epic series. I just could not put this book down 🫶🏼

What started out as a murder and a who dunnit situation, turned into a marriage, found family, rekindled romance, surprise children.. you name it. But we mustn’t forget the plot twists that blew my mind.

I don’t want to give too much away but if you’ve enjoyed the previous books in this series you will not be disappointed with its conclusion. I only hope Luna will write a little novella book about the couples futures❤️

A good end to series

And I'm back to being conflicted.
We're now at the end of the series and although the main plot thread is tied up, I still have things I wish I had the answers to.
Didn't really connect with the main characters as a couple as there was just so much happening at a fast pace.

I love this series so much! I have been so excited for Lennox and Sloane’s story since book one and it was so good! I’m so sad that this series is over and I really wish there was a very long epilogue because I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters. But I’ve been told that Luna isn’t done with this world and I couldn’t be more excited!

This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! There was drama, so many secrets were revealed, ambushes, kidnappings, and even a grenade launcher. There were some great twists and I couldn’t get through this book fast enough despite dreading it being over.

I have loved getting to know Lennox through this series so much! He was definitely the most complex of the brothers sacrificing his soul to keep his brothers safe and keeping secrets to protect them from truths he knew would hurt them. Despite distancing himself from his brothers he never stopped loving them and wanting them to be happy even if it meant watching Ryder marry Sloane, the only person he loves as much his brothers. He was the epitome of touch them and die and I loved watching him take out anyone who got in the way.

I loved Sloane throughout this series. She has proven herself to be a kind and loving person who will do anything to protect her son. So I had a bit of a love hate relationship with her for a while in this book. I felt she made some really poor decisions, even if she had the best of intentions, and was screaming at her to stop because I was afraid she was walking into a trap. But once she found herself in a truly dangerous situation I was impressed by her courage. I loved her growth in this book.

The tension between Sloane and Lennox led to some really intense spicy scenes that I couldn’t get enough of. Lennox was such a possessive dom who didn’t hesitate to make use of all the wonderful things at Eros.

I listened to the audiobook and I seriously don’t know how she did it but once again Luna had some phenomenal narrators. I loved Aiden Snow as Lennox. His voice was everything. Michelle Sparks did such a good job as Sloane and the two of them really brought these characters to life.

Gripping. Addicting. Completely consuming.

Everything you thought you might have figured out, was wrong. This fourth book is nothing short of incredible.

"It doesn't serve me to have so much rage until I know who to direct it at."

When Sloane discovers that she played a much bigger role in this than she could possibly have imagined, the chaos erupts. It sends the family in a much different direction than they ever imagined going.

"A tarnished light still shines brighter than no light at all."

Lennox has come to terms with his rage over the person that broke this family apart piece by agonizing piece. But there's always been one thing, one person, that he couldn't let go of. Sloane. The secrets he's kept to himself to protect everyone, and I mean everyone, around him are immense. But there are more secrets, more pain, more anger to be unleashed.

As this family slowly finds its way back to each other, their love and loyalty is a palpable force. They will find a way to work together to bring down the man responsible for all their suffering. They will not be defeated no matter the stakes. And the stakes are the lives of each and every person they care about, including themselves.

This series hooks you from the start and doesn't let go. Even the last paragraph of the last page of this series will leave you breathless.

I’m so not wanting this series to be over! Savage Saint was a great “temporary” ending, but I need more of Lennox & Sloane!
Book 4, answered so many questions left hanging throughout the series & the brothers finally got their revenge against their father for everything he’s done. It was great to finally get a better look at the love triangle between Lennox, Sloane & Greyson- another relationship that Sebastian interfered in & destroyed. He manipulated everything around him & destroyed so many lives, he deserved everything he got & then some. But Lennox never stopped loving Sloane & I was so happy for them when the truth came out & they got their HEA.
I just really wished we would’ve gotten more of them together in this book. I was hoping this book would have all the lies laid out, & have them together- not separated until the end.
But w/the hints of more to come f/this series I’m hoping for more Sloane & Lennox (a complete follow up book) & to get a follow up book on Dagen meeting his daughter finally!!!
This has been a fabulous series, & one of my favorites! And I’m excited- & READY FOR MORE!!

“Retribution, freedom, vengeance, peace. It means all of those things to me and more. With this, I’ll close this chapter of my life. I want to think that I’d burn the whole damn book, but there are lessons and outcomes that came from every single word in my story that I wouldn’t sacrifice, even for the chance at an easier go of it. I am who I am for a reason.”

This entire series was absolutely incredible and what a fantastic finish to wrap it all up! Everything fell so beautifully into place and the only thing I’m craving is MORE. I did want an epilogue showing some family reunions (and first unions) but Luna has assured me that there is more to come from this Saint brothers world and I’ll be anxiously awaiting it. Lennox and Sloane may be my favorite Saint brothers pairing to date and truly, that last little bit of closure is the only thing preventing this from being a 12 star read for me.

I listened to this one once again and truly, Luna found some phenomenal narrators to complete this series. I truly appreciated how well each of the narrators fit their respective characters and am blown away that we got eight unique voices for these couples. Aiden Snow and Michelle Sparks really brought Lennox and Sloane to life and I fell in love with the emotion they evoked in every scene. I’ll definitely be looking for more works narrated by them in the future.

Lennox is our darkest Saint brother and if you ask me, the hottest. I loved his domineering energy and the lengths he went to in order to claim and protect what is his, both with Sloane and his brothers. The sacrifices that Lennox made over the years for those he loved were heart wrenching and I was crying happy tears watching his relationship with Henry grow, along with seeing his acceptance and appreciation of the role Grayson played in Sloane’s life. For a morally charcoal man, he has a heart of gold and is truly a fantastic human.

Sloane was also wonderful. Strong, resilient, resourceful, and intelligent…I loved watching her grow into acceptance of the two men she loved and the roles they both have and will play in her life. Her internal struggle with the role her parents played in her life, as well as the role she would play in Henry’s and wanting to avoid the same mistakes was so relatable and really gave her some depth. Externally sunshine, seeing the darkness Sloane has been subjecting herself to for years was difficult to read about, but it made her HEA with Lennox so much more rewarding once we finally reached it.

As with any of the previous Vicious Empire books, the suspense, action, mystery, and twists were fantastic yet again. Watching everyone come together to take down Sebastian and seeing the eventual allies (as well as how they were tied to one another) and the way he final moments played out was utter perfection and Luna really brought everything full circle. I’m still craving more of this world–the brothers finally living as such, more of our MCs with their kiddos, and more of our side characters (spin offs, perhaps?)...I want it all. In the meantime, I’ll be diving into Step Darkly and enjoying more of Luna’s beautiful writing as I anticipate the release of Cry Wolfe.

Savage Saint is the fourth and final book in Luna Kayne’s Vicious Empire series. I don’t know why I waited so long to finish this series, but I finally made time, especially since Luna Kayne announced the series was leaving KU. Now that I’ve read the series, I plan on buying the series in paperback because this series definitely put me in a chokehold while reading it. The suspense and mystery behind what the Saint brothers and their loved ones have endured since book one had me on the edge of my seat. Not only that, but I needed to know the history behind Lennox and Sloane and why they were not together but seemed to have a history.

I knew Lennox’s and Sloane’s story wasn’t going to be an easy one. But these two characters had history, and I needed answers on what happened to them and why they were not together. We get past details of how the two met, what prevented them from moving forward together, and why Sloane ended up with Grayson. It was emotional because both had to move on from one another, not realizing they had feelings for one another. Sloane would forever love two men; one had given her a child, and Lennox had to continue with his life by doing what his father wanted so Sloane could have a happier life without him.

Luna definitely threw in twists and turns in the last book in the series that I wasn’t expecting. I was happy that the brothers got the revenge they deserved from the person who had ruined their lives since day one. However, the person who did take the villain out was the person who deserved to take this person out the most.

It’s a great ending (for now) for the series because Luna may have hinted that this is not the end for the Saints, and I’m intrigued to find out if we will get follow-up stories from the brothers and their loved ones, especially Lennox and Sloane.

Overall, this was a steamy, suspenseful, action-packed ride of a series, and I look forward to reading more from this series and other books that Luna Kayne decides to write.

Would I recommend this series? Yes. I recommend this series to Dark Mafia Romance/Romantic Suspense readers. The first three books end in cliffhangers, so you’ll be left hanging each time until the last book, when you finally get answers.

I loved that we finally got Sloane's and Lennox story. These two have been pining over each other through this whole series. we finally find out who Elais heir is and it's not who you think it is. This book is an exciting roller coaster ride as we get lots of answers and secrets have been revealed. Lennox gets to finally claim Sloan as his and will burn the world down to save her from his father. Sloane comes into her own and becomes the women she has always meant to be strong and determined to keep those she loves safe and protected. I loved how they tied everything together and gave us a totally wrap up but still letting us know we might get more books from this world. This series was an exciting adventure, and I loved every minute of it.

Fitting end....

Holy crap! Like this was a lot of heartbreak, acceptance and never ending love. Those Saint bris really had a fucked up father. But Lennox was the perfect dad for them in their fucked up world. I am happy for Sloane and Henry, they kinda get to have a great family.

I'm glad that there might be more Saint books coming, because I need to know how Dagen meets his daughter. Or how are the Saint bros and their women are going to live in that big house? I have a lot more questions that I need answered.....so hopefully the next one comes out soon 🙂

Power plays, truths and lies

Lennox has always been the loner, the one who protected his brothers and who lost the most.
As they close in on their father the truth of what he has done and is still doing sinks in. They must stop him once and for all, to fail isn't an option.
Can he save Sloane ?? Can he forgive the secrets that she and his brothers have been keeping???
Will he finally get to love her as he always has ??
What a dramatic end to this part of their story.
A family reunited at last 💓 💗

There was so much going on in this book that my head was spinning. I was waiting for Lennox and Sloane's story to be told from the beginning of the series and feel this was by far the best book of the four. Lennox is such a force, and it was interesting to see his relationship evolve with not only Sloane but his brothers. I would have loved an epilogue to this story just to see how things progressed after time passed. The author had me completely invested in these brothers and their love interests and I wanted more. I am definitely looking for more books by Ms. Kayne.

Fantastic book and series.

I knew Lennox and Sloanes book was going to be good and I was right!!
It was absolutely fantastic. The whole series was.

Lennox exceeded my expectations on thoughts on him and for the whole series he seemed so cruel, brutal and dangerous but his book showed a total different side.

This book and the series is definitely something I would recommend people should read.

Fantastic series

This series is, without a doubt, one of my absolute favorites. I'm so happy with the ending, but I wish it didn't end. However, that being said, I've purchased the books, so I can always go back through and reread them as much as I would like, and I'll definitely be doing that in the near future.

Great series

Thoroughly enjoyable read. I felt like the storyline was well thought out and flowed well between each book in the series. Having a book for each couple and a continuing story was a fun mix of happily every after for each book and suspense to want to keep reading the next one.

Highly recommend.

Who knew Lennox was so...

I can't believe it's not over! But I am looking forward to more from the Saints.

Following the reveal, Sloane is contacted by her parents, who reveal a few truths that lead her to a friend who can answer some questions.

In the meantime, Lennox is searching for her and Henry. He let her go once and he won't repeat that mistake again.

Great end of the series

Lots of twists and turns, danger and violence. This is not a pretty little romance but a heart-stopping fight to get their lives back. Lennox and Sloane have been kept apart way too long and it's time for that to end. I would have loved a dirty little epilogue but the ending was still satisfying.

Great series

Wow. I really enjoyed the Vicious Empire series. Each brother’s book was very different but all men fell hard for their women. Definitely read in order as there is a common storyline throughout the series. I’m happy Lennox got a HEA. He deserves it! I will definitely read more books by Luna Kayne.

What a rollercoaster of a read! I love the ending to the book and can’t wait for more of the Saints and Creed! All four brothers have gotten under my skin and have made a home in my soul!

I ended up reading the series and loved it. My only dislike is the ending; we don't get to see the HEA for any of the couples. The author chose to keep the ending open for the next book, and there were a lot of setups for possible spinoffs.

This series is so addictive you won’t be able to stop. The writing goes from good to magnificent and the plot becomes more mysterious and calculated than a scene from a professional Dom. I hope I see the Saints again.

Well thought out series. All 4 books were captivating and engaging. The story line kept the reader guessing and on the edge. Beyond happy endings, revenge, hot sex and exhausting evenings reading into the night, every word was worth it.

Addictive, captivating, gripping and all consuming. Emotional rollercoaster. Savage Saint, 4th and final book in the Vicious Empire Series. Lennox and Sloane intriguing story, with all missing puzzles finally falling in the right places. Deception, secrets and lies were what drove them away from each other, separate for years, leaving them hollow, lonely with that constant feeling of longing and need to belong. I was on the edge of my seat learning their past, attraction and desire, heartbreak and reasons for distancing themselves, with whole surrounding suspense. Rage and anger, loneliness and ache for closeness, proximity and intimacy were so palpable, leaving me in an emotional wreck state. Even though this book is all I wanted and more, I wish I could read more of them, not only Lennox and Sloane, but Ryder and Amara, Cole and Harlow, Dagen and Nyla. I would love to see more of them all, in a world without threats, danger and enemies, a closely reunited family, their interactions and relations
