من نوافذ متعددة، يطلّ هذا الكتاب على الذاكرة والمدينة. يحضر فيه انفجار الرابع من آب في بيروت كشبح، ويجد مكانه سريعًا بين الكلمات التي تستعرض الذكرى، من دون أن يكون مركزًا أو مرتكزًا لها. يحضر كصوت، ويحوم فوق مدينة أشباح، وفوق ذاكرة متعبة أرهقها الوقت، لكنها تحاول النجاة باعادة انتاج نفسها بلا تذمر. تحاول القصائد استذكار الغائبين، كما درجت العادة في الشِعر، ولكن هذه المرة يحاول الشاعر أن يضع حدًّا للعلاقة بين الزمن والكلمات، فيشيّد لهما بيتًا في كتاب.

Abbas Beydoun

Abbas Beydoun was born in southern Lebanon in 1945. He studied Arabic Literature at the Lebanese University in Beirut and Islamic Studies at the Sorbonne. Following his return from France he worked as culture section editor for various Lebanese newspapers. Beydoun is considered one of the most significant contemporary Arabic poets and has been a trailblazer for the younger generation. His lyric oeuvre, which comprises nine volumes, is marked by plain, minimal language and by complex and many-layered images and metaphors. Beydoun most recently published his first novel, »Tahlil damm« (2002; t: Blood test). He has worked as Feuilleton Editor of the Lebanese daily »as-Safir« since 1997.
