Erotica with a weak plot in which a whimpering twink and an OTT possessive,chest-thumping, growling, rich, alpha-type male are horny all the time and they fall in love in a weak.

This is the kind of erotica I like. Insta lust with actual plot and push and pull between the MCs. The writing got me hooked easily too, i couldn’t stop reading. It was porny, but not to the point where it become too excessive and the constant dick throbbing didn’t give me headaches LOL :P Although, I have to say a lot parts of the story were lacking of depth and some of the intense scenes were repetitive which leads to it being quite sloppy.
I love that this short book manage to cover Troy’s traumatic past, it was something I looked forward to and I like it so much. Welp, let’s just say, hurt/comfort at its best ;)
And the angst at 70% is just too good to give this only 3 stars.

Lynn Burke knows what her readers want and what they crave. Well, at least this reader anyway. As an author who stays in close contact with her fans and is attentive to their feedback, she’s always picking brains and brewing plots inside her naughty mind. It makes her all the more endearing when she puts out a gem like this book, “Due Process”.
This book hits some of my favorite gay romance tropes: size difference, overly-protective and possessive morally grey alpha male, psychologically-damaged cinnamon roll twink, lacy panties, gay-for-you, dirty talk… and it’s a courtroom drama too! (Just in case you’re wondering, the only tv show I love more than BTVS is every incarnation of Law & Order).
From the insta-lust between the two MMCs to each scorching hot spicy scene, this book hit so many of my mm romance novel buttons I could’ve have easily read an even longer version of it. It’s rare that I think a book could’ve been longer and I wouldn’t have minded one bit, so just take that one in for a second.

Lynn Burke writes emotions really well and I just adored how emotional this book was. This book just made me feel so much emotions. I was so invested in this story and I just wanted to keep reading it so I could see what would happen next.
I just loved the romance in this one. The characters were perfect for each other and they just fit together so well. They had such a good connection and they were wonderful together.
The themes in this book were just really lovely to read and I was just really into the story in this book.

Due Process is part #1 of the Due Justice duet, and is another winner for Lynn Burke.
I just rooted for this couple from the beginning and so wanted them to get their HEA.
Silas Barlowe is a billionaire who is so used to getting what he wants. When he first meets Troy after he is arrested for alleged murder, he is besotted...
"The first-ever male to catch Silas's eye..."
Troy Emerson is sent from his law firm as a new associate attorney to represent his client. He sees everything through the eyes of the law and is a great believer in the system.
The big powerful Alpha and the sweet natured twink. I loved how Silas accepted his attraction from the get-go.
Silas, so protective of those he loves, showed over and over again to what extent he would go to safeguard them. His determination to protect his sister, and to win Troy's heart was swoony.
As the story unravelled, Troy, adapted from seeing the world in black and white to support his lover in so many ways, even going against his inherent nature.
Wow I just loved their instant powerful connection, and together
with plenty of steamy moments, twists and turns, revelations and joyful moments there was so much to love in this story.

This story...................holy smoke!!! I don't know how Lynn Burke keeps doing this, but her stories just get better and better each time she puts out a book. This is book one of the Due Justice Duet and I loved it from the first page!!! Silas isn't your "typical" hero and when he gets arrested, Troy is sent to get him out of jail. I totally loved Troy and would gladly hang with him any time, any day!! Silas has never been attracted to a man, but when he sets eyes on Troy, that changes. This story pulled me in from the very first page and kept me reading until the end. Of course, now I need to read the second part of this duet. The connection, the heat, everything about this story was awesome!! I will definitely be getting both of these books in print and putting them beside the other print books I have of Ms. Burke's. So, so, so good!!!

Due Process is book #1 in the Due Justice Duet, by Lynn Burke.
I loved Silas and Troy's story! We first hear Troy's name back in Unholy Addiction, as the best friend that Michael had left behind when he relocated. This was a fabulous combination of gay-for-you (one of my favorite tropes) and a courtroom drama all in one book. We have the big protector in Silas, who doesn't fight the undeniable attraction he has to Troy, the first he's ever felt that way about a man. And sweet "I'm not a boy" Troy, with his emotional baggage was the perfect partner for Silas.
There was a good plot to go along with all the steam that Silas and Troy brought to the pages.
And part two of this duet is Grace and Noah's story? Yes please!

DNF
DNF entirely due to the writing. Adjectives and adverbs were used too liberally, sentence structure was awkward with changes in the subject of the sentence and overuse of "that" instead of commas. Emotions were explained instead of shown, and where shown were also explained right after. Verb tenses were wrong and $5 words likely luscious and gorgeous are everywhere. This book needs major editing. In its current state, its clunky and odd; if this was read aloud, there would be constant feedback on how off the language is to real life interactions. The overblown words make this feel like a first book written by a teen author who thinks all emotions are big and dramatic. Needs major editing.

OH. MY. WORD!! Is there a book hotter than this? Silas and Troy just set my panties and heart on fire!! Holy freaking heck. The sexy times between these two are off the chart, set the bed ablaze, five-alarm, and call the EMTs to restart your heart. If you like swoon-worthy interactions between your two leading men, then you have to pick up this book. Troy has been hurt before, and Silas is the man who will put him back together and show him how special he truly is. I wanted to cuddle Troy and make it all better, but Silas gets that job, and boy, does he do it in style. I will definitely reread this book and wish I could give it 10 stars because I know it has just become my favourite M/M book.

This book was so much more than I expected. A beautiful story of love in all aspects. The love for family, friends and the unexpected love of your life. There is so much that I want to say, but I will not give anything away. Their story was beautiful, exciting, extremely hot, soulful, and heartbreaking. Once I started I could not stop. You will swoon, fall in love, bite your nails, sit on the edge of your seat, smirk, laugh, melt and at the end you will be so enthralled with their story that you will not want it to end. I want more, I want to stay in their world!! Trust me you will too!

🔥 Flaming Hot!
Silas, not my typical hero, or anti-hero, he’s Uber dominant, but sexy af!! For a book boyfriend I rate him a 9 out of 10, lol.
Troy impressed me from the beginning, he also made me laugh, I'd hang out with him any day, he definitely needs to learn to hold his vodka though 😉 🤣
These two had major chemistry from the beginning and I was all in, waiting to see how the drama turned out, it was great watching the plot twist and turn.
So yeah, yet again Lynn Burke sucked me right into the story, had me fanning myself during a couple of scenes.......way to make me have a happy weekend!

This story was a little different than other MM stories I’ve read, in a good way. For starters, I love the insta-connection. Silas fell in lust with Troy and what Silas wants, Silas gets.
There’s plenty of drama and they both have to work their way around it and just wondered how it was going to work out in the end. I loved their chemistry, I can always count on Lynn to write some amazing smexy scenes.
I swooned at how much of a protector Silas is, he loves his sister and protects her at all costs, but also how much he put in to be able to in the end have Troy’s heart.

From the moment these two laid eyes on each other the chemistry was electric. Even though these two were complete opposites on the moral scale they are helpless to stop what's being led by the heart once their walls of protection come crumbling down. Their relationship build was as sweet as it was sexy and holy hell was it 🔥. It had a little touch of mystery and danger entwined with this love story which was an added bonus to this read. I can always count on a Lynn Burke story to leave me satisfied yet yearning for more of these fantastic characters. I would absolutely recommend this read.

This story is amazng it has it all, the heartache, emotions galore and acceptance without a care in the world as Silas and Troy have an instant connection both different in many ways and their own trauma to deal with.
I have never met a more loving protector then Silas he's the real deal and will do anything for his family and I can say I was worried the whole rocking and nail-biting thing going on. The scenes are OMG sizzling hot and these two have the kind of love you dream about, I loved them so so much.

If you want a book with murder, sex, romance, violence, court room drama and an ending you really didn't see coming, then this is the book for you! Silas kills a guy in his sister's kitchen. It is now up to Silas's attorney, Noah Madden, to get him off of murder charges. Except it isn't Noah that walks into the precinct, it is Troy Emerson, a young attorney with Noah's firm. From that moment on, Silas is hooked on Troy and cannot get him out of his mind. Troy likes what he sees with Silas as well. The two ignite the pages when they finally come together. Really great book!.

And this is why Lynn Burke remains one of my top authors to read. In this book she has put together MM, romance, suspense, crime and a trial, everything on my wishlist.
Silas had killed a man in self-defense while in his sister's home. His lawyer and assistant seemed as if it was an open and shut case. Troy not only helped with the trial, but lost his heart along the way.
Definitely a book to keep and read again.

This MM romance offers some of my favorite sub tropes: Gay-for-You & Suspene (Murder). Silas (billionaire businessman) and Troy (young new defense attorney) have that spark of chemistry from the start. I blazed through this book hooked on the mystery behind Silas’s arrest and the passion these characters have. It has some serious *fan yourself* heat to some scenes. If you are fond of insta-lust turn love, then you do not want to miss out on this book.

There was no objection from me while reading about Silas and Troy’s sizzling affair both in and out of the courtroom. All it took was a simple smirk surrounded by the scent of strawberries to twist Silas into knots. Troy Emerson had no clue what was about to go down!

The story could have been good, but the alpha male's "I will protect the ones I love against everything and take any step I need to do it" was too much for me ! Come on !! We're in 2023 !!! Troy is the twink who has so many principles but at the end of it, he lets his love for Silas accept a man who hides evidence of crime !! Hated that ! And of course, insta love makes me want to puke !

Lynn is one of my favpurite authors. Silas and Troy were perfect for eachother. I loved Silas's instant attraction. He just had to have him and didn't care what he had to do to get him. Troy is such a beautiful person and Silas is everything he never knew he needed.

Very cringey. I hate how the author kept making Silas refer to Troy as a boy. It was just horribly written and more laugh worthy than anything because of how stupid it was. I just wanted to finish it and see it through. I guess there’s something for everyone but this was NOT for me.

This had a great plot and two characters that I really enjoyed. We didn't know the full story on a lot of things, but they were revealed slowly throughout, and I liked how it was written.

Wow! What a read!
The story between Troy and Silas is very well fleshed out. This book grabs your attention from the first page to the last page. Here I lay, having given up sleep, knowing I have to go to work in a couple hours just so I could finish this book. So worth reading.

I was totally not prepared to love this book as much as I did. Lynn Burke starts this story off with a bang and gets us so invested in her characters right from the start! Silas's arrogance and demeanor made him an interesting character and I found myself sympathizing with Troy while he tried to resist his lusciousness. In true Lynn fashion, the steam in this book was off the charts spicy! Holy shiz balls Batman!

Holy Moly this book sucks you in and leaves you panting for more.
Be prepared to lose sleep with this one as you will not want to put it down.
The connection, the desire, the want and need rolled off these characters that you could feel it in your chest. Hands down one of my favorite MMs to date and One-Click worthy.
