Ettie and her sister, Elsa Mae are at it again. They just happen to find a woman’s body lying besides their phone shed. After reporting their findings to Detective Kelly, they discover that this might be a serial killer the killer might be Amish. Now it is left up to “The girls” to find out how these Murders are linked to the Amish community.
A quick moving mystery written in true Samantha form. One of her true “Who-done-it” stories that keep you involved and questioning every move until the very end.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author but all views are my own and I was not required to give a positive review.
I received this book from Samantha as one of her ARC readers as a way to give what I promised a true and honest review of the book. So in reading it I love to see the interactions between the sisters Ettie and Elsa-May as they go about their lives and somehow always get pulled into trouble. This time they are walking down to the shanty to make a phone call and find a woman's dead body. Here we go again, trouble always seems to find them. As they are talking about what to do a man arrives and asks if they are in need of assistance. The sisters call Detective Kelly as he has been their go to guy in the police department before. When Kelly first asked for their help in an earlier case I am sure he never planned on them working with him years later. But, I digress, after they talk to the police they are returned home and are surprised when there is a knock on the door and it is Ettie's daughter. I did not remembering her having a daughter but obviously she has left the ordnung and after many different types of jobs and adventures she is divorcing her husband and decided that she would start writing crime novels. Of course, she showed up because she heard her mother and aunt were involved in another crime and she felt she could glean some information and topics from them. The story continues with a string of different interviews, working with and against the police and coming to their own conclusions. In all of this you will laugh, cry and begin to worry but these two ladies have it all under control. I have to say, I missed the clues on WHO DONE IT and was shocked when I read the findings. You must get this story and enjoy the ride. You will love it.
I always read this series via Kindle Unlimited and have read all of the books in the series to date. I find that just the relationship and banter between the sisters, Ettie & Elsa-May, is in itself worth reading the books. The way they follow the clues is always interesting, and following their train of thought is delightful.
In this particular book I figured out who the murderer probably was going to be the very same time that the character was introduced in the book. But there were enough twists and turns to cast doubt on it a couple of times and keep it from ruining the ending for me.
I’m not very fond of Ettie’s wayward daughter, Myra, but she grew on me as the book progressed. I think mother and daughter have a lot more in common with one another than either one would want to admit. Detective Kelly was kind of a downer in this one, but what happened with him didn’t exactly surprise me. I will continue to read the series as long as the author wants to write it.
Oh the antics of Elsa May and Ettie! A story filled with humor and intrigue as they are up to their usual role as detectives, unofficially of course, finding suspects at every turn, but who actually committed the crimes is yet to be determined. As Ettie’s daughter, Myra, comes for a visit for the purpose of writing a book, she is caught up in the action as well. Detective Kelly has his hands full with the three, vacillating between their interfering or being helpful. Will anyone be able to pinpoint the true suspect? Or will another crime be committed before they can? I received an advanced review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A mystery to be solved. Sisters, Ettie and Elsa-May, are on the case. A murder victim was found almost at their front door. Who is it? Who could have done this?
They make me think of the sisters in The Waltons. They sometimes get on each other's nerves but they would be lost without each other.
They have special skills to solve the crimes in their area. Detective Kelly recognizes this and he appreciates their talent. He sometimes acts like he is annoyed but without them many crimes would be unsolved.
I loved this cute story. I enjoyed the banter between sisters. They are a special pair.
A Deadly Amish Betrayal The girls are involved with another unexpected death. Right up to the end we are wondering who done it. Of course it is someone that we were not even thinking of. The characters we know of this series have all come into the story line. If you want to know what has happened you must read this book. You will see that the girls are getting older in some of their behaviors, but we love them dearly, especially when they nik pik each other.
I absolutely loved this book! It had so many twists and turns that I was kept guessing throughout the book. Ettie and Elsa Mae had their work cut out for them in this book with Ettie’s daughter Myra making another appearance and finding themselves in the middle of their very own murder mystery novel. Samantha Price never disappoints with her series’ character development and amazing storytelling!
Again another read by Samantha price that was fun it was entertaining kept me guessing and then the end was for the most part heartwarming. I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't read the book yet so no details here. But so glad that Ettie was reunited with her daughter! I do love that character attributes are real and fit with the age and lifestyle of each one, the attention to small details is great!
I’ve enjoyed every one of the books and never been disappointed. When I finished the last book I was disappointed that there was no more I am very surprised when I saw books 26 is out and I’m hoping they’ll be many more. The sisters make me laugh even detective Kelly I’m hoping for many many more books to come and would recommend each and everyone of them.
Ettie and Elsa-May once again find themselves involved with the discovery of a body. Detective Kelly soon finds himself trying to persuad these two to stay safe at home.💕 It doesn't take long for them both to be arguing with each other, over the kitten.
I absolutely love this series by Samantha Price.
Clean, fiction detective books, about 2 elderly Amish sisters.
I really enjoyed this Amish Cozy Mystery. I love the characters of Ettie and Elsa-May! Their bickering sounds so realistic to elderly sisters living together. They delight me with their "detecting" skills! Filled with mysterious deaths! I received an ARC of this book.
Enjoyed this book - it’s great that you had Ettie’s daughter Myra in the mystery. Their bantering made the story interesting. I would like to know why Myra left her Amish community? Thanks for another great book.
I really love reading these books. The characters feel like they’re family. We’re all trying to get along with everyone, but jealousy sometimes creeps into our lives. The stories seem so real.
I really enjoyed this book but am sad it is the last book of the series. Samantha Price is such a great writer. If you enjoy reading suspenseful mysteries you will love this whole series. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Ettie and Elsa May are at it again. Discovering another body. Who was the killer this time. They will need the help of Ettie's daughter, Myra. I recommend you read this book to find out who the real killer is. It's a shocker.
I love the Ettie Smith books, and this one didn't disappoint, it kept me guessing to the end. Ettie and her sister are always funny and entertaining. I look forward to the next book.
