Emmanuel is attracted to Carla the moment he sees her when he is looking for her father.
Carla has been looking after herself and her father, since her mother died. Life is a struggle just to survive.
When Carla’s father offers his daughter to Emmanuel as payment for a debt, he knows that if he refuses, her father will find another buyer, so he accepts. When Carla arrives at his house, she has no idea what is happening and is understandably angry.
Emmanuel is a bit of a control freak, but in a good way, he is always trying to solve people’s problems but sometimes he gets it wrong.
The relationship between Carla and Emmanuel is rocky to begin with, she is independent and has been her own boss for quite a while, he is the advisor to the werewolf council and is greatly respected in the community. Carla makes Emmanuel a better person, she brings light to his life and Emmanuel helps Carla to understand that being rich is a good thing when it enables you to help others in need.
A really wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed; this is a great series.

Loved it
The female character was endearing yet spunky. I loved her drive and inner strength. The male character was a true alpha male. But he cared for those around him that were in need. You could practically feel the sparks leaping off the page when these two individuals were around each other. This is a must read!

Good book, quick read
It's a very good book with a great story line. I love happy endings and this one doesn't fail. It is a quick and easy read with great characters and awesome romance. Worth the time

Completely romantic & sexy.
The characters & story are great. Yes, its a little too convenient at times. Who cares?! Its a romance! Its supposed to be this way. I was left with the warm fuzzies.

Sold Mate
I just knew Carla's father was not gone for good, his habit would make him come calling. I loved the soft side of Emmanuel that Carla brought out. The fights they had was seriously funny.
