It’s been three years since I’ve seen Christian Riley. It’s been three years since he broke my heart. Three years since he didn’t want anything to do with me or his daughter. Now I have to do an interview with Sean Stevens, my best friend’s brother and Quarter back of the New England Patriots and Chrisitan Riley, The Defensive End for the New England patriots, My daughters estranged father and my ex boyfriend..
But when he sees Demi’s photo on my desk he doesn’t know who she is. He never knew about his daughter and I’ve spent the last three years hating him thinking he didn’t want me or Demi. Now he’s back and wanting to get to know his daughter and wants a second chance with me. But I am dating the Quarterback of the New York Giants Dean Jones. Do I give him a second chance and destroy the person who put me back together after he supposedly left me pregnant and alone?
Christian
I have a daughter. She’s turning three this year. I never knew about her because my agent kept that secret from me. Now I am fighting my way back into the love of my life’s life, trying to be a good dad and wanting to be everything I promised Alaina I’d be three years ago.
I broke up with her for a reason. I broke up with her to protect her. I want to keep her safe but I also want them in my life, I can’t disappear on them again. I won’t. I have to come clean about my past to her. What our family business is. But if I do that there is a chance I’d lose not only Ali but my daughter forever. Is it too dangerous for me to go back to her? Do I care about the danger or do I just want to be selfish and have them all to myself?
The bigger question is do I protect them for me or do I charge back into their lives destroying everything?
I am a self-published author on Amazon, I have been writing books to screenplays since I was fifteen. I currently have four books published and ready to be read on kindle and paperback. By the end of the year, I will hopefully have three others out by the Christmas time. I am hoping to become a popular author so I can make my dreams come true and be a full-time author and mom.
TikTok recommended this book to me so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book but it definitely did not go in the direction I thought it would.
This book had the perfect armount of love, smut, crime, and family goals all in one. Alaina has loved Christian for years, yet due to unforeseen circumstances they are forced out of each others lives. Let’s flash forward 3 years, because who doesn’t love a time jump, and these two meant to be lovebirds are forced back into each other’s lives. Alaina has moved on with her daughter despite being completely wrecked and lost after Christian walks out of her life. Things has finally started looking up for her when he comes back into her live and finds out about the daughter he never had.
I saw a post from the author asking if people could read and review the book after it has been edited poorly which had affected her previous rating score. I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed the book and I loved how even at the end without giving anything away it doesn't end how you would expect. 100% worth the read and I'll be reading more of this authors work ❤️
I want to start this by saying that I loved the storyline of this book and the characters! It had great plot and plot twist that kept you on your toes never knowing that was going to happen. It has a surprise at the end that you don’t expect (the “who done it reveal”).
BUT!!! The book has horrible editing and grammar. There are things that are changed from one page to the next ie the type of car a character drives, a characters hair color, the events and injuries from an attack. There was also mention of the MMC having a beard after like 60% of the book but before that he is never said to have had a beard. There are sentences that do not flow well, lot of redundancy in paragraphs and conversations, words that are left out completely, colloquialisms being used instead of the actual term, (This one a colloquialisms is all I could equate it to, but a Manila envelope is called a vanilla envelope.) and lastly probably one of my biggest pet peeves the wrong forms of your and you’re and their, there and they’re being used!
However with that being said I did like the story and powered through because I had to know what happened! But I struggled to read with all the mistakes, and it took me way longer than normal to finish this book. If you can look past the mistakes it is a good read, but the mistakes are why I could not give it a higher rating!
Once in a while, you find an independent writer with undeniable natural talent. Sabreena Lowe’s “Never Say Goodbye” qualifies in my book. The book follows Alaina as she navigates the winding road that goes with being young and single. The main object of Alaina’s affection is Christian, a college football player who is destined to be a professional. Unbeknownst to Christian, Alaina becomes pregnant with his daughter. It isn’t until she’s three that he pops back into her life. The sex and the romance are well presented here. Hot without being too graphic. Ms. Lowe has a real ear for the way people talk, and her exchanges feel real and believable. There’s a very different structure to this novel. The story trades off between Christian and Alaina’s points of view in alternating chapters. I do think there are times when repetition and typos get in the way. Not often, but every now and then, it pulled me out of the story, but her passion is so strong that it overcomes the technical issues. This is the first book of the series that I have read, but I intend on checking out more titles, and I am sure that there will be many more to come.
Messy, emotional, and a little feral second-chance romance. Three years after Christian supposedly abandoned Alaina while she was pregnant, he discovers he has a daughter he never even knew about because his agent hid the truth. Now he’s desperate to be a father and win Alaina back—but she’s already dating another NFL star.
The angst, secrets, and emotional chaos keep the tension high as Christian fights for his family while his dangerous past threatens to destroy everything. And just when things start to shift… that cliffhanger ending hits and leaves you needing the next book immediately.
I didn't realize this book was the series, yes, yes I know it says that it's a series, But I didn't know that it was a series with the same couple ............We really need to figure out another word besides series because the series could be so many different things Any who..... I'm of 2 minds so far about this book I have to get back to you when I finish the next book? Are the book after that..
This story line has potential but I couldn’t finish it. The book has a lot of grammatical errors where some of the sentences don’t make sense. Also the book is written as if maybe the author isn’t very experienced in some of the scenes that they wrote. I also feel a lot of detailing was added in that wasn’t necessary just to make the book longer. Again the story line has great potential just needs some cleaning up.
This book was fantastic I loved it. That being said it would have been a full 5 stars for me had there been just some editing done. There's odd spaces breaking up words and a few grammatical errors. But I would still highly recommend.
This book kept me engaged the entire time. Every time you thought you knew what was going to happen next, it was not what you expected. Love does not always conquer all hurdles.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
A fantastic book with multiple twists that I didnt expect, in the best of ways! I couldnt put the book down. Great characters, even better story line, some great family moments and some reallt hot scenes. Loved it! So happy to have picked up this book and will definetly read more by this author.
