Spicy chapters: last one (1 scene) on each book
This is a VERY entertaining and well written book with 3 short stories (with different MC's in each of them) that are surprisingly good.
Considering the length of the stories, the characters are very well-rounded and relatable. And, unbelievably, the stories just keep getting better as you read on! 👏 👏 👏
I often find that novellas and/or short stories try to cram too much plot and information in a short amount of time, and often, the ending is too rushed. This is not the case in the Rock's series.
The 3 stories are fairly simple and somewhat similar (MMC chasing FMC, enemies to lovers), but this suits me perfectly, and the MMC's are all HOT: the first one is an ex military sniper, second is a police chief and the third (and best) one is a silver fox firefighter 🚒 🔥
This is the perfect palette cleanser in between longer / heavier books. Hope you'll love it ❤️

Loved all three of these stories. The characters were great, you could read each as a stand alone if you didn’t get this box set. Was great to be able to read them all together. The characters crossed between books but not enough to make it so you couldn’t follow the stories. Each of the females stood up for themselves and were not a doormat. I will never look at a hot tub as anything but a lawn ornament again!.

Pretty quick read for a multi-novella! Each unique in their own way and the second one probably had to of been my favorite of them. Think this was a SYKD find from not long ago, so sorry it took forever for me to get to.

This was my first trilogy by Tori Ross and I really enjoyed it. Three separate stories that can each be read as a stand alone. I recommend reading them all!!! Sweet romances and laugh out loud moments!!! I look forward to reading more by this author!!! Read and enjoy!!!

Cherry and Dylan were high school sweethearts 10 years ago. Dylan did the unthinkable. He took Cherry’s virginity and then was abducted by aliens the next day! 10 years later he pops back up and wants to give Cherry an explanation. But a lot has happened to Cherry over these 10 years and she has become cold toward men. She has responsibilities and she doesn’t think Dylan deserves the time of day.
Dylan has had enough and won’t take no for an answer. He finally gets to give his explanation. While it wasn’t as explosive as I thought it would be, it was different.
Next comes the inner turmoil of these two before they can finally get through their own crap to realize they are in love. Their long lost love is super sweet and hawt!
This was a great quickie read with some laughs, witty comments, sweet and swoony, with the mouth of a sailor… this is it!

OMG! This story had me feel ALL THE FEELS! For a short story, Piper’s story had me laugh at times and almost in tears at others! AND I’M NOT A CRIER! Whoa!
Piper has a lot going on in her life. She is taking care of her grandmother as best she can, prioritizing bills the best she can, and dealing with city giving threats of more fines and liens on the house for not moving the ancient hot tub from the front yard. Just read it, it will tear your heart up! The one thing she doesn’t need is Sheriff Creed McDuffy “talking” to her about her problem while she is at work. She has had enough and blows up. But what does he do? Arrests her!
I spent half the time yelling WTF, the other half trying not to cry, and the other half swooning. I know I know, there are three halves here. Trust me, girl math, this makes sense!
This was my favorite out of the three Rocks books. Bravo!

Pistol Fire wraps this series up perfectly! Libby gets her time with this book. Libby is known around town as the hard@$$ but she just about broke when her bar catches on fire. Who better to help her than the town hottie fireman, Brock! Yes girls! His description alone will make your panties wet! Well, Libby can’t think straight when he is around and I completely understand why.
Libby and Brock both have their own demons and their own reasons for not pursuing long term romantic quests. Neither will accept help and certainly not from each other. There is a lot of tit for tat with these two. A tragedy strikes, and BOY this will grab your heart strings and pull hard, but even then, they can’t quite get it together for each other. It can be difficult when you don’t know who or what hurt someone to make them so cold. However, when the ice starts to thaw, the dam will break and these two collide!
I love that these two ultimately come around to each other. And their commitment to each other, while unconventional for some, is perfect for them. Absolutely love it!

This box set contains the whole of the Rocks series, it's great having these three quick reads together in one place.
Cherry Burn - An emotional yet sweet second chance romance, it was short, well-written and enjoyable. It tells what happens when Dylan returns after a ten-year absence and becomes determined to reconnect with Cherry. She for her part is torn and more cautious he broke her heart once and she's not going to let that happen a second time.
Blue Balls - A very short read about Piper, she works at Rocks and is continually subjected to a hard time by the sheriff. He just happens to have been in love with her for years but hardly knows her. Not my favourite in this series.
Pistol Fire - This is a moving quick read which had me hooked from the beginning. Libby's childhood was one which no child should have to endure, it's left her with deep emotional scars. She keeps everyone at a distance no easy feat when you spend as much time mixing with people as she does in the bar. Now she's reached middle age she's alone.
Brock is a firefighter, he's noticed Libby, they've both lived in the town their whole lives but he knows there's no way to get close to her, that is until there's a fire at her bar, Rocks where he comes to her aid, but ends up being injured and in hospital. Wonder of wonders, Libby pretends to be his fiance so she can find out how he is - what follows is a heartwarming story, telling how kindness and patience can work miracles. The story includes the effects of childhood abuse, trust issues and finally love.
If this story had been longer then I would have given it five stars!

Blue Balls is Piper and Creed's story. Creed noticed Piper when they were in school. He has always had a crush on her but never did anything about it. Years later, Piper is struggling to talk care of her grandmother and seems to have the town breathing down her neck about the hot tub. Creed is the town's Sheriff and is carrying out his job, but in truth wants to spend time with her. Creed and Piper's chemistry is explosive and is the passion.
Pistol of Fire is steamy story with an older couple that has a lot of heat and passion that will grab you from the start.
Libby owns the bar, she direct and straight to the point with most people. Brock is a silver fox how is still active on the fire departments. When they are in the same room, there is an electric charge, but when they talk it is fireworks.
Libby and Brock's story has a lot of heart. Libby keeps everyone at arm's length to protect herself. Growing up with an abusive father, did not pain her as much as the fact her mother did not do anything to stop it. Brock is a strong man, that is lost after being forced to retire when he was injured on the job. Hurt and spiraling, he started to build his own walls.
i love the end of this story, the oh my twist had me smiling as Libby and Brock figure out their future.

A hard life with multiple obstacles in the way for Piper when Sheriff Creed McDuffy pushes her last button. Loved her moment when she blasts her composure and let’s out all her grief. Also, a great moment when the Sheriff finally owes up to his time to shine.
Pistol Fire
Contentious owner Libby always has her guard up and civil at best to those who try to offer help. Brock the s**y firemen has always had a soft spot for Libby, but when she pushes his kindness too far, she gets a taste of her own attitude. Will he finally get her to open up about her surly attitude towards men, or will it be a lost cause. Surprising results when all is resolved with this attraction.

Intriguing Read …
This series, centered around three women of various ages dealing with life and its highs and lows, is extremely compelling and emotional. The characters are well develop and believable, while the storylines from the three short stories clearly unfurl each woman’s tale, yet overlap to add support and cohesion. Neither the women nor their heroes are perfect which only adds to the validity of each tale. Though the angst, at times, maybe uncomfortable, humor is used to offset and deflect when needed. These are the first stories I’ve read by Tori Ross, but I find myself looking forward to reading more by her. Her stories feel so real, you just want to see what problem or human weakness or environment she’ll use for another real life read that has the characters struggling, yet eventually finding their personal HEA’s.

I really liked Cherry Burn and Blue Balls. Dylan and Cherry and Piper and Creed were very cute couples and I was very happy with their HEAs. This would have been a solid 5 star book.... except for Libby and Brock. I didn't like that they only got a HFN, and I use that loosely. But I also hated how it was just left open about whether or not she would have the baby and the suggestion of possible abortion with no clear promise she wouldn't go that route. It felt more like the author was just trying to make a political statement than actually provide what readers want to see for couples they read about, and two stars were removed for how things ended for Libby and Brock.

Three women keep the local bar going as each deals with romance is very different ways. One man comes back into the picture after a decade, another tries to get her attention by arresting her. The last is an older fireman that deals with the bar owner and the attitude she carries from her youth. Great characters with varied backstories, strength and passion. The storyline has plenty of steam, secrets, revelations, deep emotions, someone caring enough to reach into the womans soul, and much more. Unexpected moments and plenty of sass plus great endings works well.

"He's pathetic as an old horse that can't mate the mare."
I absolutely loved reading this book. The author did a fantastic job of writing about 3 different couples. There was lots of tenderness, heartbreak & plenty of funny moments that caused me to laugh.
Can each couple work through their doubts & insecurities for a chance at a HEA?
My review title is my favourite line from the collection & caused me to laugh loudly.

This series consists of three stories, which can all be read as standalones. We have three strong women who can stand up of themselves, and bring three strong men to their knees, when they meet their significant others. This is a well written series which is a quick read, and filled with emotions, 2nd chances, romance, humor, witty banter, intrigue, heartbreak, insecurities, and love, which leads to an entertaining boxset.

This was a great boxed set filled with a series that kept me coming back for more. The characters were entertaining while the story lines were engaging. I can't wait for my next adventure with Tori Ross.

I’ll tell you right now, I’m stingy with my 5 star reviews and almost never give them for novellas. But this new-to-me author had me in tears during the first novella!
These stories are steamy, sweet, and soulful. Wounded characters, patient paramours, and a small town bar. What else could you want.
It’s not easy to tell a whole story in 30-ish pages but she did a damn fine job!

I loved this trilogy of novellas! Enjoyed the antics of Libby Dean, the owner of Rocks Tavern, and her two sidekicks/employees, Cherry Moss, and Piper Peck! Dylan, Creed, and Brock are gonna give these ladies a run for their money and vise versa! Three super short, super cute reads that will leave you with a smile on your face!

Loved the complete series !
3 great stories in one book . I loved not having to wait for the next one to come out. Although that last book makes me want to know more off their story.

I kind of understand what the author was trying to do with this series re: family relations, hardened women, men fall first etc. But … it didn’t do it for me. Her other books are SO much better that it made this a pretty big let down.

Loved this trilogy of novellas. The women were spunky and the guys were drool worthy. I laughed so much at these novellas. Great writing!!! Worth a read!!!

I wanted a quick read and I got it with this little series! 3.5 stars for sure since I found it absolutely adorable and it kept me hooked :)
