Nox Callahan’s shadow army has left my home burning and my mates scrambling to bring order to the chaos and mayhem they unleashed. And while I’ve managed to survive another day, I’ll not let it go to waste.
I’m going to get stronger and fight the monster that haunts my dreams and every waking moment. Callahan won’t see me coming or the way I intend to make him pay.
Even though I have my mates backing me, they can’t predict every attack coming my way. And while I am struggling to endure it all, secrets of my past resurface, secrets that my mother took to her grave.
Secrets if known to the world, will have more powerful enemies coming after me.
The threads of fate have long bound me to the four men who’ve claimed me as their mate and I am determined to protect them even if it costs me my life.
This is the second book in the Solveig Pack series and takes place in an omegaverse universe with no shifters.
Only reason for 4* was there wasn't knotting and nesting that I would of liked to have and not enough time together as a pack or enough sex between them all. This just my opinion and what I like to see in these kinds of books. I really did enjoy the book and really looking forward to read the next one
Iris, Julian, and the alpha develop more closeness in this book. Iris settles into her omega while the other storylines continue. I don’t want to give away the plot. But there is an incredible twist right at the very end. Totally unexpected. But most of this book has been unexpected, which I love. I don’t like to figure out the story. I like the story to develop. Can’t wait to read the final book.🔥🔥🔥🔥/4
For those who love: • Multiple POV • Contemporary Omegaverse • Polyamorous Relationship • Fated Mates • MM ⚔️
After reading the first book (Knot My Pack) in September last year I could not wait to read the sequel. As soon as this book was released in December I immediately had to download it to my kindle, and I cannot believe it took me a month to finally read it. I loved that this time around you really get to see the pack starting to fully embrace Iris, and each of the boys’ growing relationship with her. I absolutely adore Caleb, Raiden and Damon and would happily take Iris’ place as their omega. They are each so incredibly sweet with her while still retaining their tough alphaness. I did find Julian to be a little frustrating and whiny at times, especially as he was recovering from his injuries, but the way he cares for and loves Iris redeemed him a little bit. The spicy scenes in this book were enjoyable and there were a few more than its predecessor, but still quite light compared to other contemporary omegaverse reads. I was a little disappointed that Iris still has not had her first heat yet, but it looks like book 3 will start with the boys helping her through her heat. I am just hoping it isn’t skipped as it is very much a staple of this trope. Even though I enjoyed this book it did feel quite slow at times with bigger sections that contained no real storyline movement followed by short jumps in time. There were some interesting revelations about Iris’ heritage and I’m curious to see where it goes in the next book. While I absolutely loved the first book, the second was not as good as I was hoping it would be. However, in saying that, I am glad that this series will now be a trilogy instead of a duet and am eager to read book 3 when it is released in June.
Idk I tried to give this series the benefit of the doubt cause the first book was okay, but this just took a plunge downhill. The awareness of anything/anyone outside of immediate surrounding was minimal for the FL. If something wasn’t right in front of her, it no longer exists in her stream of consciousness, even if that thing happened to be her mate. Like her omega is injured upstairs and she just forgets about him? Her alphas are going without food/sleep to protect her and she only packs a lunch for the one who came home to f*** her, even though all three alphas will be together later? The interactions felt stilted and idk I love a woman who knows how to kick ass but not a huge fan of her hitting her mates? And the somniphilia?!! I’m sorry but even if this dude is a fated mate, he still needs prior consent to engage in sexual activity while she’s asleep. Gave me the ick. Overall the writing is pretty underdeveloped. It’s choppy, there’s lots of typos, and the characters lack any meaningful depth/growth. The plot had potential but was poorly executed and I frankly didn’t care about what happened to Iris because she is a forgettable character.
I loved the first book so much and the second one was meh.
We go from ridiculous amount of details to skipping time Nothing really happens most of the book. Not much connection between characters. Quick sex once or twice and the rest is about her cooking them food in the morning and taking showers. I wish there was more action and less of meaningless paragraphs and unnecessary details. It really needs good editing. Why does she get embarrassed when she gets turned on when she is making out with them??? Certain things make no sense at all. A few typos and wrong names. When it was Raidens pov, Caleb and Raiden joined him 😂
DNF 29% Many problems…… Couldn’t hold my attention. Villain was to campy.
MMC’s we’re at time TSTL. The author did not portray them as believable military operatives. They act irresponsibly, not security minded, they also should have more of an authoritative feeling.
Iris was a great character in book 1. She was tough, knowledgeable, independent. After she started living in the pack mansion she went almost fully stereotyped omega.
There is no relationship development between her and the pack. Julian has the most progress, then Damon has a smidge. Caleb and Raiden…nope.

DNF’ed at 47%. There’s more effort in describing the meals than actually developing the relationships between Iris and the Solveig Pack, and at least one character has to say something “in a grim tone” at least once a page (no other descriptive words exist, apparently). This book had a major need for editing or at least beta reading, and I get the impression neither happened. If you are looking for a book/duet where Omega + newly found pack have to take down a Big Bad Government Official, there are much better options to choose from.
SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy):This story is set in the omegaverse world. The FC (Iris) has been raised by her parents as a Beta and treated as a low second to her sister who is an Omega, rare and given everything. As a result the FC is self sufficient and trained herself to be strong and good at martial arts. Her parents borrow money from a high level military pack (the Solveig Pack) and run out on the debt. As a result they kidnap the FC and hold her as collateral for the debt. As time goes by the pack discover that the FC is an omega and they are her mates (3 Alphas and 1 male Omega). In addition, there is a powerful man trying to steal the FC for himself and who is obsessed with her as well as a running theme of a terrorist organisation that is trying to reestablish a world where alphas rule and betas and omegas are subjugated. The story arc revolves around the FC and her mates fighting against her stalker and the terrorist organisation and the FC discovering who she really is. There is a HEA
I‘m not sure whether the author is very young or not a native English speaker. Whilst I have become depressingly used to badly edited books with typos and incorrect word or grammar this trilogy takes those issues to another level. There are so many typos that they disrupt any attempt to get into a flow, there is incorrect word usage, missing words and bad grammar construction throughout. I have rarely come across such a badly written book (and I read a lot). I mean, for the love of god, if the author is going to have the MCs eating French Toast every 5minutes then get it right. It’s „French Toast“ NOT „French Toasts“ (plural). The basic storyline was decent enough but that‘s as much as I can really say about the story. The writing is juvenile, the characters are superficial and underdeveloped, almost caricatures. The villain is over the top and the MCs go from bully to mea culpa at the drop of a hat.
This story reads as if the author has taken all the trite/over used story hooks from other similar books and just tied them together: FC who finds out she is not who she thought she was and was brought up as a pseudo Cinderella; FC goes from plain to stunning Omega; MCs treat FC badly and then feel guilty and are all over her; the villain is evil in a „wah ha ha“ way and has done terrible things but having avoided detection for over 20 years thinks it‘s a good move to just walk into a restaurant where the MCs and FC are but still avoid capture. The dialogue is wooden and cringeworthy - what adult calls the evil villain a „turd head“? Is this author 12?
There are sex scenes aplenty which I found boring and just too many. For me they were not particularly hot or sexy and I was jumping over them by half way through. The terminology used was again, painful. The repetitive description of the MCs having „lumps“ in their trousers and their long, hard rods was just jarring.
This whole trilogy needs rewriting and editing. Just glad it was KU and I didn‘t waste any money on it.
I have never been so hungry while reading a book. My god, it's like watching anime cooking or people eating studio ghibli food. I caught myself literally drooling more than once. I really want to try the burnt orange syrup on French toast, I can picture it, smell it, taste it!!! I want it!!
I had a couple of issues with the writing being repetitive, not major enough to stop my obsessive devouring of this series. But enough to write it down. There were just moments when the characters would internal monologue the exact same thoughts, even after it was discussed. It just kind of felt like overkill on the info dump of their feelings. Within the same paragraph a couple of times, plans were repeated over again like they hadn't just had a full conversation about it.
Oh, and some details just felt overexplained, like storytelling for dummies. In writing, some things don't need to be actively explained in dialogue and derail the conversation. They can just be "everyone had the same revelation," here it is. Or whatever. Like everyone not immediately connecting Callahan being the leader of the group that attacked their house? That had more than one conversation that really didn't feel necessary. These characters are smart, I'm sure that could have been their first assumption and be done with it.
And maybe it's just because I've lost my trust in the happy moments, or I've read too many action packed Dark romances. But every time a chapter had just blissful happy days, with baths, and running, and cooking, and smexy times, I was always expecting something dramatic to crash in and ruin everything. When nothing popped in the break the happy bubbles, I had two consecutive thoughts: 1. Well, that's a little boring. Nothing really happened. 2. Yes, finally, nothing happened, they can be happy, I can be happy, everyone can just be happy and live their happy little lives.
In other books, the characters go through so much. By the time it's over all I want is the happy little moments, but the book is literally over, and there's nothing left. So I'm sticking with my number 2 thought and enjoying the happy.
Anyway, what the heck is going on with Ethan!! That poor boy knows nothing about what happened to his best friend, and everyone is just accepting this?!? For weeks?!?! Honestly, based on their two interactions in book 1, I was expecting them to be mates, too. Just keep adding them to the harem!!! I hope there's some resolution there.
Next book, please!

dnf at 108 pages. i wanted to give this a chance, but i can’t. it’s just too stupid.
somehow we’re a pack of military operatives who leave a terrorist who kidnapped our mate alive. for some reason it’s played like “we don’t have time for him right now.” what do you mean?? shoot him in the head. snap his neck. you already beat the fuck out of him, he’s half conscious, why would you not just shoot him and leave if you’re in a hurry??? it doesn’t make any sense.
and all of these characters talk like children. it’s really bizarre to think that like…again, we’re supposed to be rooting for these people not just as iris’s pack, but also as a specialized military team??? and they all act like teenagers. there seems to be almost no actual coordination or tactical planning. half of them don’t update the other half of things as they find out, so there’s just a lot of manufactured drama that would get them all killed.
and iris is painful to read. she’s “tough and strong” in the first book. (she’s not actually tough or strong, she’s just stupid. she breaks out of a safe area that she was locked in so that she can “help julian.” she does not help him. she adds absolutely nothing and instead gets herself kidnapped.) this is why i hate these “strong tough independent” characters, because they always throw tantrums about being protected, they always whine about “i can’t stay here i have to help.” and then they never actually help and instead ACTIVELY make everything worse.
i really wanted to like this, and i was interested in the developing relationship, especially with julian and damon, but i just can’t get over how annoying these characters are.
I’ve really enjoyed this series so far. Lately, most Omega/Alpha books are stand alone where the relationships transition to fast for it to be believable. This one had the perfect build up for the main characters. I kinda figured her bracelet had a tracking chip that would lead to her men saving her. It was awful to read all the scenes where the Black Spider attacked, but so glad they got some licks in too! I am kinda disappointed that she hasn’t used her coding intelligence to help with the investigation. It was largely why I was so interested in the first book, because it was part of the summary. I love the nerdy, bada$$ery female characters. It could have added an extra element where she could be useful in fighting back while being the “weak omega”. I truly loved all the multiple POV’s, it allowed personal thoughts to filter through, allowing us to truly understand each character and why they acted the way they did. The plot of the series is interesting enough, it moves along at a good pace while the main characters may feel like it never stops but it won’t truly wreck the world in an apocalypse if they don’t win against the bad guy. It’s not a super heavy book in the plot, but what I do love about it, is that it’s perfectly balanced. All the bad, is balanced out perfectly with just the right amount of good. The cliffy wasn’t bad at all, it transitioned so well. It surprised me that it ended just like that. I was pretty invested. If I could, I would rate it 4.5* due to not engaging in her computer smarts, otherwise 5* all around.
I don’t know what happened but this felt unnecessarily dragged out and I had a difficult time getting through it because it didn’t keep my attention. I loved the first book, like five star loved. So reading this was a huge let down and the series could have easily been finished off instead of being turned into a trilogy.
They were all together for like twenty seconds and then spent a majority of the whole book apart, even Iris and Jules who were stuck in the same house together barely had any moments? Everyone was stilted in the conversations and interactions they did have, there was too much “you need to eat” “you need to rest” going on. They didn’t act like mates, even Jules and the guys were written in a weird tone with each other.
They’re suppose to be heavily military trained alphas but have to continuously let Callahan go??? I don’t understand. Why aren’t they spilling the deets to their father and getting as much help as they possibly can to take him down?
I’m hoping the third book makes up for this because I am invested in finding out about her uncles and cousins and how her adoptive parents got her.

I gave the first book a 5 star because I truly thought it was good so to give this a 1 star for DNF at 50% was so sad. I just absolutely can’t with this one.
I’m tired of seeing “said with a grim tone” after every single thing somebody says in a serious situation.
I also didn’t feel like the relationships really made sense, I hate that there isn’t nesting, the spice is boring. ALSO she’s an omega. She’s literally Built to take knots so idk why Caleb was afraid to “break” her because she smaller than the other omega in the pack, Julian. They are both omegas. She can handle an alpha just as he can. The relationships were awkward
Also- the fact that she blatantly said that Julian was her favorite and if she had to pick one, she’d pick him. Umm… she’s supposedly “fated mates” with all 4 men. She shouldn’t be able to choose one over the other at all. It doesn’t seem to me that this author knows how to write poly relationships or fated mates (even though it should be scent matches here)
Cover Blurb: Nox Callahan’s shadow army has left my home burning and my mates scrambling to bring order to the chaos and mayhem they unleashed. And while I’ve managed to survive another day, I’ll not let it go to waste. I’m going to get stronger and fight the monster that haunts my dreams and every waking moment. Picks up immediately where book one stopped. High stakes, hard hits and the sweet omegaverse is gone. Now is the time of recovery, preparations, healing and war! Iris surprised me at the end with Callahan. Wished she finished the job before letting him go. She fits right into a military pack. Lots of revelations in this one and still bonding in the pack as they come down from chaos. The only sticky point with me on this one was how the alphas treated Julian. It was almost like they gave him a backseat. They sent him in an ambulance alone to the hospital while two were with Iris. They won’t let Julian shop without an escort but they let him go unconscious and hurt alone. Same crew of characters but we do meet the parents. Multiple povs in 1st person Trigger warning: Darker than the first with attempted SA and torture.
ok so this book was fine, but no where near as good as book one. i didnt mind the general plto fo this book, and while i really enjoyed the charcaters again, i jsut felt like it was a bit of a step down from book one. book one was just SO GOOD and this one was just ok. i dont think i would ever really read this one again, and i dont have any interest in continuing the series, but i would still recommend the series overall. it was enjoyable enough for what it was, and the first book was SUPER good. give it a read if you want a good introduction to omegaverse romances, or lightly fantasy but SUPER hot romances. it was cute, it was smutty, but it wasnt a whole lot more. give it a go, give it a read, check it out :)
This second book was really drawn out and super boring. Nothing really happened. The story focused more on Iris cooking for the men. She basically became a standard house wife omega.
I felt like the dynamic was off in this book. There was a disconnect and lack of relationship development between the characters. Caleb, Damon, and Raiden were away most of the time due to military work. And when they did come around, it basically just led to smut scenes.
Iris spent the majority of her time with Julian but I found their relationship to be quite boring. I felt like Julian was a bit needy and whiny in this book. I really don't understand why she liked him so much. It was annoying how she blatantly said that she liked him best and would choose him if she had to.
The story is basically solid. There are some inconsistencies throughout. The characters are mostly strong. It has the ability to be fantastic if the main characters, aka the Alphas, were more dominant. They come across as betas most of the time. The female omega is basically a strong omega wannabe. She does have a tendency to do stupid things, like going running in the night alone, knowing there is a psychopath trying to kidnap her. But whatever.
This book was hard to complete. So many grammatical errors, repeated sentences within a paragraph, repetitive thoughts in every conversation, and a uninteresting plot (in and out of the bedroom). The book is a quick read with some mild spice, and the antagonist is doing some unexpected smoke and mirrors. The sentiments outside of conflict feel hollow and copied down from every cliché romance movie without any true emotion. With 4 delicious mates, you'd think they'd get up to some interesting steamy scenes... but they pop out of nowhere with no sexual tension and are very vanilla.
Ughhh I have no clue why im torturing my self in to finishing this series. The fmc is so whiny and utterly selfish. She's all the time throwing temper tantrums or thinking she knows best it's highly annoying. This could of been a great series if the author kept with the motif of a strong woman and not have turned her into a wimp. Also the sexy scenes are pretty lame and boring. The supposed "love " between the characters and the fmc is non existent imo. I get the guys have had a lot longer to get to know their male and love him, but I feel as though the fmc is just a after thought.
If you can handle the grammatical errors, etc. and are mostly here for the spicy bits, then you are good. Keep reading.
The most storyline action was at the very beginning and very end. The middle was a lot of bonding between the packmates. This book would be great if it didn't have so many errors. I'm here for the spice but when its chapter after chapter in a row, I need some storyline progression.
Still so many questions...not sure I'll continue the last book...
As soon as the military men say "leave the bad guy, Iris needs us," I dnf'd. The series is filled with things that don't make sense and just seem to be thrown in to keep the story going but they are not at all plausible. Like the military men would leave the man that kidnapped and drugged their mate. On what planet would that happen. But I suppose if they would have done what any normal person would have, arrest him, the story would have been over.
The plot had good bare bones but ultimately did not deliver.
The second book in the Solveig trilogy was not as exciting as the first. We continue to follow Iris as she moves from beta to omega with her pack, Julian, Caleb, Damon and Raiden. The writing has improved but there are some times that it's really awkward with the wrong word or poor grammar. And sometimes it's just very stilted, plus some of the spicy scenes are repetitive. But the story is driven by a good plot and some interesting characters. There is one last book and I need to read it to see how the author plans to wrap it all up.
I Really Really Really tried to keep going because I truly hate not finishing a book but I just couldn’t… I have up at 47%.
Everything was so obvious and basic. It read like a book written by a 13-16 year old.
I would have given 1 star but I kind of wish I knew how it ended or could get the cliff notes summary, and the spelling and grammar was good - so I added an extra star.
The first part of the book blends into them looking for her, and that goes on for a while, so tension takes up most of that section
After that, felt like it was dragging, the pack members are barely home to talk, and the rest of the time is spent on the omegas’ frustrations and making sure they eat food, a lot of repetition and mention of PB&Js
The pack member’s personalities felt like they were blending as well a little
A little oddly paced with spicy scenes sort of lumped together. A few errors (like 5 hundred million dollars on one page, but 5 million in the next). The ending was kind of bad ass (except, ew, G! Your lady is Right There. Also aren't bonded alphas immune to certain things? ).
I like all the characters. The series story arc is great. Im looking forward to the conclusion.
