Henri Zidane has a honor his commitment or get to know the quirky HR manager who cornered him in the stairwell. He has a baby on the way with a woman he doesn't trust, and he keeps asking himself, "How did this happen?" Well, not how really, but why? Why! Why is it that even with all precautions he used, he still going to be a father before he's a husband? And, no, he's not about to marry Cassie! But one look into Sanya's big brown eyes has him agreeing to things he'd usually turn down, and an unexpected twist has them spending a lot of time together which makes it harder to ignore the heat growing between them.
Cute and quirky Sanya Shaw has an ax to grind and the super fit engineer Henri Zidane is the key -- she hopes -- to her looming predicament. She needs to fit into her dress to save face in front of a wedding party she despises. Weight loss is no joke, and she needs the real deal to help her meet her goal. She may not be able to blow off her commitment to be a bridesmaid for her ex's cousin without seeming petty - even if her jerk of an ex brings The Petty - but she can take super-sexy and French speaking Henri along for the ride.
When a racy weekend on the beach permanently shifts the dynamic of their friendship, Henri and Sanya find out that what started as a fitness journey has them falling in ways neither anticipated.
Francesca Penn lives in Texas with her husband and son. While obtaining her Technical Writing degree, a creative writing course and play-writing elective reawakened her desire to create stories. Her brain lives in fiction; even the songs she listens to become music videos in her head.
When she is not writing, she can be found hounding her loved ones with multiple "What-if" scenarios. As a true closet romantic, she is prone to filling up her DVR with Hallmark movies. A friend once told her that she'd trained the whole 20 plus years she'd known her to write romance since her nose was always in a love story.
Francesca believes that love is colorblind and plans to provide a mix of couples of different races and ethnicities because - to her - men are like Skittles, and we all know their motto.
One word that describes HENRI & SANYA? SEXY!!!. This pair was SEXY. I loved, loved, loved their chemistry. When the two first met they had a cute connection. They had a lot in common they same interest in movies and shows. He understood and got her themes of the day and she just understood him. They meshed so well and were perfect together. Let me go back to the Chemistry, it leaped off the pages, their passion, friendship and sexual chemistry was so intense that even those around them were affected.
HENRI & SANYA both recently got out of relationships with people they should have never been involved with because their exes were HATERS. They didn’t respect them, they were users and disrespectful, and got everything they deserved.
I haven’t read a book, that the couple had this great of connection in a long time. The book was funny, sweet, sexy and the love scenes were HOT🔥🔥🔥 and little bit nasty😜😜. Ms Penn did a fantastic job with book.
Read book two last year Axel in Heaven and Searched for book one on kindle but could not find it. Finally it popped into my feed and I purchased on Amazon. Read it over 24 hours! So funny! Have read all the Variations of the founder’s island charters written by the three authors. Although this was a departure, this was a great story by a great story teller!
I really enjoyed this story. Sanya and Henri as a couple was perfect. Throw in Sanya's mother with her quirky personality Sanya had no choice but to be the girl Henri falls in love with. A definite must read.
Disappointed by the writing of this book. She is one of my favorite writers. Not sure if this was something written awhile ago and just pulled out the file folders.
I will be on the lookout for something newer from Her
This book was a great example of when one door closes another one opens with more options and better opportunities. Henri and Sanya’s closed doors led to them finding their HEA with each other.
