I loved this one sooo much more than the first one. I think we got that more depth of characters compared to the first book. There is less actual sex scenes in the book BUT the build up and tension made it so much better.
I found myself laughing so much at this book but especially one of the last scenes in the hospital when the doctor sees mia for the first time.
I will say there was certain things I would have liked to have been explored more but apart from that I loved it.
Would definitely recommend!

April 16, 2023Meh not as good. I was super excited to read about Oren and Junie but honestly this was kind of a letdown. I think for me it was because there was an attempt to add plot but it wasnt totally fleshed out.

Like the plot line about the stalker had a lot of build up as a threat to Junie’s safety but literally Oren took her down in one scene like…? Instantly neutralizing the threat kinda defeats the suspenseful element? But for me the biggest deal breaker was Junie being pregnant. Like that was totally and completely unnecessary. I feel like if you were gonna make Junie pregnant make it Oren’s baby? Like idk that part really didnt work for me.

I wish I could describe this book for you. Think… mega sex curse that makes the women in her family crazy for it and a guy who’s got a tree trunk between his legs and is worried about splitting her in half. Thats this whole book.

Well, this book was A LOT. I found the first half to be seriously disturbing... but the second half was much better, since it's just the two MCs getting to know each other and figuring out if they have a future together.
Juniper Johanssen is an 18 (or 19?) year old nympho basically. Supposedly her whole family line of women for generations before her have all been cursed with some sex-crazed curse. Juniper thinks she activated her curse at 16 which is really kind of sad and disgusting that she thought she had to have sex every day at such a young age. Supposedly she was too horny not to though. Sex is all she thinks about, and she sleeps with whoever is around to give it to her. She goes to stay with retired UFC fighter and now-reclusive mountain man Oren Grosbeak, so that he can protect her from a madwoman who wants to kill her for sleeping with the lady's husband. Juni's sister and mom also stay with him - the sister is in love with Oren's brother and they're happy together, so the sister thinks her curse is broken, and the mom is in a vegetative state for the most part (was brutally beaten by a hookup).
Oren has to show massive amounts of restraint to keep from sleeping with Juni. She cries and begs and pleads for sex but Oren doesn't want to take advantage of her since she's so much smaller and younger than him, and he doesn't know if she is even in control of her own desires or just plain crazy.
Juniper finds out she's pregnant and it's obviously not Oren's since he won't sleep with her but he doesn't care - he wants to be a family with Juni and the baby. He's just still so worried about hurting Juni during the physical act of sex so he keeps her at arm's length for the first few months of her pregnancy. He still takes care of her - feeding her, helping out with her mom, etc. - but he doesn't want to let himself get too close physically. Eventually Juni has had enough, and she gives Oren an ultimatum - allow them to express their love physically or she will leave and move back to wherever she came from. She wants him to trust that she knows what she can handle and trust in what they have to be enough for each other. He doesn't want to lose her so he wants to try giving her what she wants, even though he's pretty adamant that he's too big for her and he thinks it's going to be very painful for her. But, lo and behold, everything works out fine. Of course Juni has some kind of magic vagina that can handle Oren's box-shredding member (eye roll)... so there was never any need to worry. Oren was more trying to protect himself when he was resisting Juni, and once he came to terms with that, they could be together. (The book is like 80% over by the time they finally have sex though. Oh well.)
In the end, Juni gives birth to a dark skinned baby girl. Oren considers himself to be the father (the whole scene in the delivery room is actually the best part of the whole book), and Oren asks Juni to marry him and keep giving him babies.
If this book didn't have the sex curse part, I probably would have liked it a lot better. That was just too disturbing. I would rate the first 25% of the book 1 star, the middle 50% of the book 3 stars, and the last 25% of the book 5 stars... so, on average, 3 stars.

I'm not sure what I was expecting from this storyline but it was not a ceramic man part being used. Overall, I did enjoy the storyline and characters. The sick mother, the "I'll keep you safe from monsters and my monster...." storyline, and a curse. This "mountain giant" was soft and artistic as well as huge in all ways. Personality, security, body parts and stature. Very spicy and likeable. Fast read.

A slut with a heart? Well why not? A Brat for the Mountain Man was initially quite tacky. Juniper comes from a long line of promiscuous women due to a generational curse, 🙄 but unfortunately all her sexual proclivities have been put on hold.
One minute Juniper’s making my heart squeeze with how sweet, and gentle, and genuinely wholesome… and the next, she’s trying her damnedest to make me hard and then trip me so I’ll fall dick-first into her mouth, or her vag, or her ass — the girl’s not fussy.
Now the man tasked with responsibility of protecting Juniper and her mother is not immune to the young woman and her urges to fuck all the time. Except, Oren is concerned that his giant dick won't fit. Oh yes, you read that correctly...
Due to the dire lack of reading material, I persevered and I'm really glad I did. I have drooled over many books by this author, so I shouldn't have been surprised when the story took a complete turn for the better.
All of a sudden this story became more real due to an unplanned pregnancy that created an actual plot. Throw in some dirty XXX scenes where this author always excels, and it turned out to be a really decent erotica read. This author is definitely my fave for quality smut. 🩵

Oren and Juniper’s tumultuous start
What a ride with Oren and Juniper. These two are trouble with a capital T. Oren is famous for being a huge man, meaning all over. Even from childhood, Oren struggled with knowing his own strength. So know he enjoys solitude. However his brother asked him to protect his GF and her family until a stalker is caught. Juniper is way over the top about everything. She craves knocking boots and does it often with whoever she wants. There is absolutely no judgment here, sow your wild oats Jun-bug. Her and her sister keep referring to a curse that they are under. So the storyline begins with Juniper chasing Oren so that they can knock boots. Unfortunately, Oren has shut that down. He knows he is large and will hurt the little Juniper. Her chase begins there to capture the giant Oren. At times, it was frustrating when the two main characters kept butting heads. I did feel like another chapter was needed or an epilogue would have been nice to catch us up about baby Mia. Read On!

Well damn....this book is off the charts smoldering. It is a bit of a slow burn for me because there is a lot of discussing how much they want each other but there is always something in the way. There is a huge age gap between Oren & Juniper. There is also a "family curse" that Juniper keeps referring to and I'm wondering if there is another book about her sister?? That may explain more but that element is there as well. She is sex obsessed and needs a good D on the regular but they (her, her mom, & her sister) have come to Oren's home (her sister's bf brother) to keep them safe and secluded from the trouble that is following Juniper.
Oren is a gentle giant in the way he cares for her and wants to take care of anything she needs if he'll let her. However, he's terrified of hurting her in all ways in and out of the bedroom because of his size! Juniper is all about it but has to convince him hence the slow burn. This was not my favorite Elana Dawne book. It's not bad. I just didn't connect as well with the FMC. She has ho-like-tendencies and it gets her into trouble. She brings her handicap mother to her sisters, boyfriends, brother's place to hide out from a s€x scandal. He is significantly older and at first has a hard time allowing himself to fall for the 18yo. she is persistent and makes her intentions k own. She finds herself pregnant and unsure of the father, he steps up to daddy/ caretake her then clames her as his own.

This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed the story. Oren was the big friendly giant trying his hardest to keep his distance from Juniper, the young woman stricken by the family curse that makes her crave sex. I love how he resisted her many attempts before caving. Oren even steps up when Juniper finds out she’s pregnant with someone else baby. I just wish there had been more on their little family with Mia at the end. Also I think the story with Marie the stalker was over too quickly.

Dnf. Sure sure ur thingy is wayyy too big to fit that was the main concern all the way in the book. Like wtf. Unless he’s like 7ft and she’s less than 5 ft, i really dont see an actual physical difficulty otherwise this character design is just not biologically accurate.
Sure it was hot in the beginning but then the chapters got a bit repetitive and boring. And the actual deed happened near the last few chapters. Didn’t even read it properly.

nice quick cozy read!
I was intrigued to read this having been recommend by my sister and I can’t say I’m disappointed. I never tire of reading about a big cuddly giant with a small sassy FMC. The cozy small time read with copious littering of spice just added to the plot which held my attention to say the least! Quite surprised it doesn’t have more reads!!

So good!!
I did not sleep a wink last night because I couldn't put this little gem down. It was so good.
I loved that the big giant is a huge protective softy. She is an independent woman that genuinely loves her family and is very comfortable with her sexuality.
Their story was interesting and I was hooked quite quickly. I'm very interested to read more from Elena Dawne.

I'm not sure what to say about this book other than the fact that it was one long drawn out tease. LOL. Wasn't a huge fan of Juniper in the beginning - man was she an aggressive little thing. Of course, I loved Oren from the get-go. Not a ton of spice, since the whole book is one tease until they finally end up doing the deed. ;) Enjoy

Something missing for me
Cute story, well written and I liked juni and oren. I'm not sure what was off for me but it felt like it was missing something. After all the push and pull about size and sex for it literally be resolved in one night felt anticlimactic for some reason. Also would have lived an epilouge so we could have seen thier lives farther down the line.

This one actually had a story/plot line lol, barely. But it did have one. It was still straight porn but it was cute, funny, and sweet. This is one of those books that I know others will hate and roll their eyes but it’s perfect to me. I love the OTP mmc, the ridiculousness, etc. Also the word of this book is puss lol

This was GOOD!
