She’s famous, beautiful, and the one Omega who’s name everyone knows. She’s my twin sister. Everyone wants her, and no one wants me.
Being the twin of a movie star isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Eva is glamorous and sweet, and everything I’m not. Believe me, every person in my life has made that crystal clear. The press calls me the Ice Queen, leaving pack after pack broken in my wake.
I wish it were true.
All I’ve ever wanted was a pack—to be loved and cherished the way an Omega was meant to be—but now I’ve given up hope. Every group I meet wants a copy of my sister. Let’s not even mention the ones who called me by her name.
That was before I ran into an Alpha whose scent made me climb him like a tree. And his pack, who smells like heaven, makes me perfume, and claims they want to make me theirs. I want to believe love like this exists, yet the past has taught me it’s too good to be true.
I want to be able to tell the world I’m taken. To scream I’m knot your damn Omega…I’m theirs. But first, I have to believe it myself.
Devyn Sinclair writes steamy Reverse Harem romances for your wildest fantasies. Every sexy story is packed with the right amount steam, fiery hot men, and delicious happy endings.
She lives in the wilds of Montana in a small red house with a crazy orange cat. When Devyn's not writing, she spends time outside in big sky country, continues her quest to find the best lemon pastry there is, drinks a lot of tea and buys too many books. (Of course!)
This started out fun and sweet but after the fourth or fifth face-f*cking scene where the FMC is choking, coughing, not able to breathe I became exasperated. We get it. One of the alphas knotted her mouth and throat, how is that possible without breaking her jaw and etc?
As far as ‘primal play’, she was blindfolded by one of her alphas, hands cuffed and put in the trunk, driven out to a location and released for a chase and intense fight where her face was shoved in the dirt and there was the beyond unsanitary practice of anal with no prep immediately followed by vaginal penetration. It really distracts from the book to read stuff like this. I kept wondering when she was going to be hospitalized with a kidney infection. She woke up the next day covered in bruises and dirt. I think this transcends primal play into abduction and r*pe kink.
She had a date night with each of her partners and the “get to know them” part was her asking how they joined the pack. It started to feel formulaic and perfunctory and the dates (I read it yesterday and the only date I can remember was a club date) were basically having sex. I wish this book had been developed a bit more with the personalities and plot being more dynamic.
The FMC narcissistic mother is emotionally abusive to her but they work it out so they can all have dinner with her once a week as part of the happy ending.
Authors, please stop putting your trigger warnings on your website for your readers to hunt around for and put them in the description and the actual book where they belong.
Originally, I was gonna rate this 4 stars but that ending tho
I am shocked by how much I liked this. I firmly believed this was gonna be a solid 4 star book, but around 70% it got so much better. 5 glowing, raving ⭐️s! Thank you RL for rec’ing it!! 💛
So, I thought for the first 70% of the book things were too “perfect.” The pack was perfect, Esme was perfect (despite her very valid hold ups), the situations/scenes were perfect. Basically the whole book was a little too perfect for me. But then the last 30% happened that made me truly go from really liking to loving this book! Things weren’t so neat and tidy, the relationships got a little messy. But that’s why I loved it- it stopped feeling so unrealistically perfect, everyone started to feel more human- because mistakes happen and people have flaws. Esme said something about the pack that I 100% agreed with and that made me laugh when I read it: “The five of you are so fucking reasonable.” But this did also make me sit back and wonder why I felt the situations, mainly the MMCs, were so unrealistic. It’s probably because ever since I could remember I’ve been conditioned to expect the bare minimum from my partners, particularly men. That that was all they could offer and I should be grateful for it. And then Devyn Sinclair was out here stating more facts: “…basic human decency isn’t being nice. It’s the bare fucking minimum.” Maybe it’s not that those characters were unbelievable, maybe it’s that I’ve never expected more outta men/my partners in the past (Ik Ik I had low standards, but things have changed!). I didn’t know they could be like this 🥹 This is why I love romance novels.
There was so much talk of consent and numerous check-ins with Esme about touching, talking, sex, etc. just making sure she was okay with it and letting her know she could be open and comfortable enough to tell them no or when they might’ve taken things too far. I’ve never read about this much healthy communication before. And let me tell you, I almost cried 🥺 It was just everything I needed and wanted.
This might be my go-to book for sex scenes 😅. There was A LOT of sex here, but all the scenes felt new, unique, different. This is also where I really got to see each of the MMCs personalities shine. They did blur together at first, before I read about Esme and each of their individual scenes together (if that made sense lol). Then I melted for them all. The primal play was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. I think it’s better than some books whose sole focus was being about primal play. And this was only one scene! Completely smoking hot. The entire book.
Do know that this is very heavily character driven, not plot driven. There isn’t much plot, so some might find it slow/boring, but I usually always read for the characters- ergo, I loved it. Now I just have to sit and wait for Devyn Sinclair to write more omegaverse, since this was her debut into the genre.
If you want a read where it’s sexy af, heartfelt and sweet, makes you warm and comfy/cozy on the inside, this is the book for you.
~~Not me forgetting one of the things I loved the most: the title/pun/double meaning lmao~~
**Second time’s the charm- hopefully GR doesn’t play with me like that and make me lose this review**
✅ A lot of smut ✅ Sweet romance ✅ Characters ✅ Sister relationship ✅🆗 Plot ✅🆗 Pace (middle part felt long) 🆗 The “date and sex” formula became repetitive after a while
3.5 stars
This is a sweet and cute omegaverse romance, but the quantity of smut overshadowed the plot.
Esmée Williams is a 28-year-old omega who has lived in the shadow of her famous twin sisters for years. Not only is she forced to live in her sister’s shadow, but she is also always compared to her, and it makes it impossible for her to find a pack that truly wants her for who she is. All the alphas want is an Eva 2.0, and it has slowly destroyed Esmée’s self-worth. When she meets an alpha she can’t resist, and who seemingly can’t resist her either, Esmée does not know what to believe. Is it possible that she finally found a pack that is interested in her and not her sister, or is there something else going on?
I liked the story overall, but the plot was weak. The biggest obstacles to Esmée and the Nautilus pack relationship were Esmée’s insecurities and her mother’s prejudice against a gang of tattoo artists. There was no tension or angsty moments, except for one instance of good old miscommunication that was quickly and easily resolved.
The romance was cute, but it was obvious from the start where it was going, and nothing surprised me or made me wonder how this would end. It was interesting at first when the pack started courting Esmée, but after a while, it became a repetition of mindless stuff happening: a date, an altercation with the papparazzi, and then sex. Another “normal scene” or minor altercation, then sex again, but with another member of the pack. I think I would have been more involved in the plot/romance if there had been more tension or some problem/enemy for the pack to overcome. Still, it was entertaining overall, and it was a quick read.
At least the five men all had distinct voices and personalities. I find that often, in standalone reverse harem stories, the author tends to focus on the romance and smut, and the men feel identical after a while. Thankfully, that was not the case in that book, but it does not mean the characters had much depth. They all had their color, but they were still pretty shallow overall. We got their backstories quickly, one after the other, during their dates with Esmée, but I didn’t see the impact of their upbringings or their past in this book.
I liked the complex relationship between Esmée and Eva. It is obvious how much they love each other, but we can also see how hard it is on Esmée to always live in her twin’s shadow. Eva also loves Esmée like only a sister can, and she is always willing to go to her defense and help her find a pack worthy of her. She feels bad for the situation Esmée is put into because of Eva’s fame, and I loved the depth of their feelings for each other, despite the hardship Eva’s popularity brought into Esmée’s life.
It was not a bad or boring book, but I was hoping for more. With a title like that, I was expecting something darker maybe, or at least more resistance from Esmée towards the pack. I do not know yet if I will read the next book in the series as it is another standalone RH set in the same world, so I am worried that it will be another case of a weak plot with a cute romance and a lot of smut (maybe too much even?).
After struggling through this book I don't have the energy for a long review.
This would've been cute, I like my Omegaverse on the sweet side, but I was over the h halfway through the book. I get it, I do, living in her sister's shadow, the attitude of her mom and the death of her dad combined with the vultures of the press was hard but jeeze I wanted her to stand up to her mom and the public longgggggg before she did especially as she had her sister's full support. But the entire plot was driven by her insecurities and in real life I fully expect that anyone should be able to handle their emotional insecurities in the best way for them.......but a book's only got so many pages🤦🏾♀️ I needed the h to really just grow into herself and she didn't do that until the very end so I was just bored and struggled to the end. This is entirely me knot 😂the book however
Omegaverse No cheating Harem was scent sympathetic so they were hooked from the first whiff The guys were ok Loved me some Kade
This one made me cry. Esme (h) is an omega who's been shoved into the public eye and constantly compared to her actress twin sister (not in a favorable way). While she has a close relationship with her sister, her mother also adds to these issues and the paparazzi is especially brutal towards Esme. It's eaten away at her confidence and her belief that she can find a pack for herself one day. My heart hurt for Esme in so many ways because of how she'd been made to feel that led to so many insecurities and anxieties. I loved that she gets an adoring, wonderful, patient, and perfect pack for herself in this story, even if it took her some time to believe. The story is written in first person, multi-POV. No ow/om drama, no virgins, and bc used. No mm/ff within the reverse harem group.
When Esme meets Bennett (one of the Hs) at a party, their scents drive the other crazy but it's too scary for Esme and she runs. Of course, Ben has an amazing pack at home who take one whiff of Esme's scent on him and all of them have to meet her (4 alphas and 1 beta). From there we get fantastic relationship development, character growth for Esme as the pack builds up her confidence and trust in them, all the sweet connecting and falling in love, and plenty of omegaverse steam with heat, knots, nesting, and eventually claiming. I loved all of the main characters and this was such a well balanced group.
This is a faster burn, before the 50% mark. Each of the pack members is distinct in his personality, what they offer Esme, and even some bedroom/wherever preferences. There is a primal play/chase scene just FYI for those who look for these or those who don't prefer them, this scene can be skipped without any impact to the story too. More info on this scene -
I also loved that Esme is a talented artist in her own right and her pack happens to be a talented group of tattooists themselves. It fit so well and the details included related to art and tattoos were excellent. Esme's relationship with her twin, Eva, was supportive and lovely. Ben's sister, who helps design changes to their home for Esme, and a security guard helping to protect Esme from the paparazzi are additional side characters that offer support to the group. Unfortunately not everyone is supportive and helpful and Esme's mom does cause trouble, as well as the paparazzi who hound the sisters.
It does take time for Esme to believe that what's happening is real after a long time with toxicity and there are some bumps, but it all comes together and their HEA is a sweet one. There's an epilogue 6 months later that was cute and left me smiling. I'll absolutely check out the next omegaverse Ms. Sinclair releases and I would definitely recommend this well-written read.
This review kinda sucks to write because I think the writing was pretty good in this story and the author did a decent job with the characters… but a couple things just really ruined it for me…
1) The title of this book absolutely does not fit the content of this book. You may read the title and assume we’re going to have a headstrong heroine who is reluctant to join a pack and bond (ie strong, independent vibes). You would be wrong. Instead, you will get an emotionally damaged, submissive, sad, self conscious omega who needs constant love and reassurance. Is that a bad thing? No, not really. But, it’s totally not what you would expect to get from a book called “knot your damn omega”. This kinda threw me off for the whole book because I was still expecting her to have some kind of attitude or reluctance at some point, but instead she’s just completely hopeful and terrified of the situation being too good to be true.
2) The book is about 20% plot (that might be generous). This is a HEFTY book and the author spent an exorbitant amount of page time on sex scenes. To the point where I just had to skip the last few because it was so monotonous. I see why the author did what they did with a pack scene, subsequent 1:1 scenes, and then a follow up pack scene to give everyone a moment, but it was so obviously formulaic and these scenes just completely ate up the word count. I’ve read most of the books in this genre and even authors known for extra spicy books don’t have this much of the page count disproportionally dominated by sex scenes. Literally the entire middle of this book. It started to feel like the author was adding them to check the boxes instead of to actually develop the story. (Also during one scene there is a very gross a to v moment without cleaning off in between- that’s a definite way to ruin any scene in my book 🤢🙅🏻♀️)
3) The plot itself and the drama was just incredibly light. There is almost no tension in this story and it’s all very predictable. The plot, if we can even call it that, felt like the side story to their sex life. There is no real question from the first moment Esme and Ben meet that they’re going to end up together, like the characters all know it and everyone is pretty much on board from moment one even with Esme needing constant reassurance it’s not because she thinks she’ll change her mind it’s cause she’s afraid they’ll change theirs. There is nothing for us as readers to worry about or even think about really, it made for a kinda boring story.
There were a couple other little annoyances throughout, but these were the main things that knocked this down from a 3 to a 2 for me.
DNFing for now. It wasn't bad by any means, but I was a little bored with the standard Omegaverse storyline/tropes. I was listening to the audiobook and just haven't been able to make myself listen to it for a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll come back to it eventually.
Was the writing bad? No. Could I name the alphas outside of Ben and their sexual preferences? Nope. Did I get the fmc? Yeah. Still didn't make me like her though. The title is very misleading and it ended up ruining the read for me. It paints a picture to the reader that just isn't delivered on. I also agree with the other reader/review regarding the primal play scene not being primal play but r!pe fantasy and that's fine but label as such. The plot was severely lacking but the author managed to cram an extreme amount of smut in between self esteem issues and an evil mother.
4.7 stars. Fuck yeah! This was hot as hell. We got some primal play, some spanking, some roughness, some bondage, some light breath play…it was smutty as hell, and I really appreciate that shit. I loved it. And I really loved the characters. They were all so lovable and just so different. I really enjoyed the time she spent with each of them individually. Plus there was a lot of playfulness and some banter and it was just so good.
I want more of it, immediately, honestly. Just so much love and healing and growth and smutty sex and fun games.
Obviously, I loved it. I will for sure be on the look out for another omegaverse from this author. And anything else she puts out. I’ve really enjoyed her writing so far.
3.5 stars. This is an RH omegaverse, and it’s the best one I’ve read in a while – which isn’t saying much since there are a lot of bad ones. But it’s got likeable characters, good steam, and fine writing. It’s a bit below 4 stars for reasons that I’ll get into, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.
It’s about Esme, an omega who is a 28 year old artist. She lives in the shadow of her twin, who’s a famous actress. The press and paparazzi are always after them, and craft this image of Esme as an ice queen, while her sister is universally loved. Esme wants to find a pack, but every alpha she meets wants her sister instead. (Her sister loves her and feels bad about the situation. I liked that. It makes it more nuanced than if her sister was evil).
There isn’t much plot: Esme meets a pack of 5 tattoo artists, it’s insta-relationship from there. None of the guys are reluctant. They’re all ready to have Esme move in with them immediately. The main conflict is Esme overcoming her own insecurities, in order to let herself love and be loved. And, there’s a bit of conflict from the outside world - like the media, and her uptight mom.
I needed a bit more conflict / tension/ drama in the main relationship. It’s fine for a book to be sweet. But, there was just something missing in it for me. Conflict or tension doesn’t need to mean “dark,” lighter books can still have it! Also, RHs that have more than 4 guys risks the characters feeling underdeveloped, especially in a standalone. This has 5. I liked the guys, especially Luke and Kade. But several bring similar things to the table. Like, among the guys, there are 2 nurturing types, and 2 dominant types. So, some of these characters could have been combined. (Especially Ryland and Bennett, who were both likeable and fine, but just kind of...there).
But here’s the main reason this is a little below 4 stars: Esme overcoming her insecurities is the main engine driving this story. And we’re TOLD about past situations when she hasn’t been treated well, which resulted in her current insecurities. But we’re not really shown them on the page. A slightly better OV book, Pack Darling: Part One is impactful because it SHOWS us that heroine’s bad life circumstances (before she meets her pack and her life changes). We experience them alongside her. We see exactly why she’s got all her weird habits and hang-ups. And it helps us feel invested in her, understand every choice she made, and feel sympathetic.
Whereas, in this book, we’re only told about Esme’s past hardships in retrospect. They’re a bit glossed over. That prevented me from feeling as connected to her as I could have. For example, there’s a scene where she’s struggling to stand up to her mom. We know her mom sucks, but we haven’t been given enough information to get why Esme can’t make herself stand up to her. So, that scene made me frustrated with Esme, instead of sympathetic, because the story didn’t do enough to take me on this emotional journey with her.
I don’t always need a book to dwell in a heroine’s angst! But in this specific book, her emotional journey is basically the entire story. So, diving into it beyond a shallow level IS important, here.
Anyway, this sounds critical, and not like a 3.5 star review. But this was a mostly enjoyable read. It did a good job of having variety with the guys – one of them was into primal play, one was into D/s, one was nurturing. A good RH should have variety in the bedroom. Too many RHs have the guys be the same in there, so what’s the point of there being more than 1 guy, then? This book gets it. I also might have rounded up this star-rating grading on a curve, because so many OV books are so bad, it’s a relief to find a decent one, even though this is flawed.
If you want likeable characters, high steam, and a story about a heroine who has been mistreated finally getting cherished, then you’ll probably like this. I’ll check out more from this author.
Re-read: Changed my rating to 5-stars. I enjoyed it more the second time and felt more sympathetic towards Esme.
This was great and almost got 5-stars, but a couple things prevented me from doing so: #1 Esme's confidence issues and #2 the dramatic ending. All Esme's life people have wanted her to be like her twin, Eva, a popular actress. This has caused Esme confidence and identity issues. When Esme scent-matches with Bennett and his pack, she doesn't believe that they really want her and not her sister since that's what all the other packs she's met have wanted. The Nautilus pack are understanding of Esme's reluctance and do everything in their power to show and tell her how they all feel. The men's actions and words do help Esme to become more sure of herself and their love for her, however I think her getting therapy would have been beneficial. Love can't fix all problems. The results of Esme's reaction to the third act conflict were a bit dramatic for my personal tastes.
There was a lot to love in this book. Although other people, including their mother, have always compared the sisters, Eva and Esme are nothing but supportive of each other. I loved that Eva pushed her sister towards happiness and stood up for her against their mother. The Nautilus men are wonderful: caring, sweet, sexy, supportive, and certain they've met their perfect Omega. They do not rush Esme into anything she isn't ready for. They had distinct personalities and met a different need in Esme. There was a lot of sexy times in this book. The spice was very hot and well written.
This book hooked me from page one and I stayed up late finishing it. I loved spending time in Slate City. This is absolutely a top tier Omegaverse book.
Some mixed feelings. Did I like the guys? Oh yes most definitely. Did I like FMC? She was alright. I just was dragging and bored halfway through. Not a ton was happening plot-wise. Lots of dates and sex. Which I’m not hating but it gets repetitive. Love the idea of a tattoo artist pack. Tattoos are yummy. I would recommend this to OV lovers out there. It was good, but I just wish I loved it more.
First things first: I'm a little annoyed that the title of this book did NOT match the vibe of the content at all... I went in expecting angst (look at the title! how could you not expect angst?) but this was not it. Not saying it's a bad book. I did enjoy it! Just wasn't what I was expecting. For context: I don't read synopses because I want to go into a book as blind as possible lol
Title aside, this was incredibly sweet. The omega, Esme, is the twin to a movie star. She's gone through her life under constant media attention and inspection. She's scrutinized and always seen as the undesirable sister, if you will. But one day she finds an Alpha with an irresistible scent and that leads to a lovely courtship between his pack and Esme.
The Nautilus pack are so sweet, caring, and accommodating. Esme has a ton of, very valid, hesitations that the Alphas all work to help soothe and alleviate. They are the definition of comfort, puzzle piece/perfect fits for Esme.
I loved the artistic side all the characters have. Loved all the nesting, spoiling, knotting. Also pleasantly surprised some kinks were thrown in here too! One Alpha is a Dom while another enjoys primal/chasing (though the primal edges to the cnc side more but still a grand time).
I'll be honest, during the conflict before the HEA, I cried lol. The writing and story had me sucked in and I was holding my breath reading the book. I felt for Esme and was reacting how she was and I'm laughing at myself now but it was an experience.
I wish there was a bit more tension and angst considering their relationship was really easy. Also some MM action? Totally expected some sword crossing but was left hanging. But it's still a fun time.
Rating: 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars.
08/23/23 update: yeah, I think about this OV a lot. I'm changing my rating to a solid 4.
Read this for: -omegaverse -fmc (omega) getting spoiled ROTTEN -"good girl" -mild/low angst -supportive and amazing sister
5 hot tattoo artists?? Yes!! Scent matches? Yes. Primal play? Yes. Light bondage? Yes. Spankings? Yes. All of these men were PERFECT. They had zero flaws and treated Esme like a queen, and immediately made her feel safe and at home. They were THE PERFECT communicators, and they read her SO well and were able to reassure her of anything she was unsure of or had lingering thoughts of. AND there's no third act breakup!! There's a tiny misunderstanding, but it gets cleared up right away.
Esme (FMC) has a celebrity twin sister, and she is always seen as a lesser person. The twin to help the other shine, packs resorted to her since her sister was bonded. She has gone through pack after pack, all who treat her like she's the replacement of her sister. Of course, as the queen she is, she turns them all down despite what media outlets say of her. And thank goodness, her twin was a genuine good person who always stood up for her. One day, Esme attends a party with her twin, and she smells the most magnificent scent ever. She follows that scent, and it leads her to one of her future pack mates, Bennett. And then she runs away. While Bennett in that moment knew she was meant for him, and he can't wait to tell the rest of his pack mates. The other pack mates are Luke, Avery, Rylan, and Kade. And they cannot wait to start courting Esme, as long as she lets them.
Favorite quotes/scenes:
-"She's fucking beautiful, and her scent feels like you're inhaling fire in the best way. It lights you up under your skin. I want you all to meet her because I think she's ours." (Ben)
-"I very much like touching you. And tasting your skin might become my new favorite hobby." (Luke)
-"Barely two days since meeting her and I couldn't imagine her disappearing and never seeing her again. She was ours. We all knew it. Now we just had to convince her and drive the knowledge so deep she would never question it." (Avery)
-"I'm going to kiss you now, and I want you to tell me you understand I'm kissing you for you. Not because of a dress, even if you look like a goddamn queen. Not because of anyone else. I'm kissing you because I want you, Esme Williams. You're my omega." (Kade)
-"She was the most precious thing, and she had no idea." (Luke)
-"You don't ever have to thank us, Esme. You're ours, and we've got you." I was theirs, and they would always have me.
The sound he made was somewhere between a growl and a purr. This car was big enough for him to sink to his knees in front of me, pushing my legs apart and shoving my dress up my thighs. “Ben.” My voice was breathy. “When we get home.” “You’ll come long before we get there.”
I ready this as a Buddy Read with my Daisy Jane Discord group and it was so fun!
I’ve honestly put this one off because of the amount of pages, I’m one of those crazy people who think 400 pages should be the max unless we’ve got some crazy ass drama happening.
So why did this work? Well it’s pure porn for women, I’m not just talking about the sex either. Reading Omegaverse is what every girl needs when they want comfort. Men who don’t gaslight you, play games, go hot and cold. Nope, all five of these beautiful men knew from the start that Esme was their mate and nothing would change it.
We are talking men who feed you, bathe you, buy you the most beautiful nest and bedroom decorations and think that everything you pick out is perfect. Men who always get your opinion before ordering takeout and NEVER complain about what you pick 😜 gah, it’s a little disappointing this world doesn’t truly exist
And then the sex! I was worried about 5, that is a lot of swords! Hahaha but every guy had their own style and can we talk about the separate sword descriptions? I loved that we had everything and they all knew how to use them. Kade obviously has my heart with the chase in the woods and primal play, I’m just a sweet little girl who needs to be caught and pleasured 😂🥵🤗
Thoughts that describe this book:
Low angst Stressful dynamics between parent/ child relationships Amazing sister relationship Heroine probably has anxiety No virgins/no other women Some past talk of heroine’s relationships Kink fun includes spanking, breath play, hand necklaces, primal play, anal, all the bjs. I’m probably missing some but it was plentiful. Also, every guy has their own amazing smells and flavors?! Who needs an ice cream shop?! Men who just keep showing up and being exactly who we need
I only went down a star because I did think we could have cut 50 pages or so but I’m so glad I read this regardless!
I just can't put myself through 500 pages of this. It wasn't bad...but the lack of conflict got to me.
The positive: - I really liked the writing style, it pulled me right in from the beginning. - The FMC was very self-aware and it was refreshing. - The relationship between the twin sisters was awesome.
The negative: - Like I said, there wasn't really any conflict. The relationships were too perfect. The characters had basically no flaws except for the FMC who was super insecure (at least the insecurity came from somewhere valid). - The emphasis put on fluids in the sex scene was quite disturbing. I read a lot of smut, but I don't like it when I feel like I'm reading hardcore porn. For example, the FMC was craving the taste of cum and was deep throating left and right. Fluids kept gushing everywhere. ... Sorry WHAT?! That's just gross. - I could not distinguish between the 5 MMC. They worked at the same place and all had tattoos and big dicks.
So yeah... It was okay I guess. If it were 300 pages I would have finished, but 500 is way too long.
‼️The h that’s living in the shadow of her twin sister ‼️Sweet Omegaverse ‼️Heat, Nesting & Lots of Knotting ‼️They just want to take care of their Omega ‼️Chase scene ‼️Safe ‼️No OWD/OMD ‼️No Virgins 🥳 ‼️No MM or FF
This could have been more like 3 stars but it was a RH that was safe and had no OWD or MM and that’s just so hard to find nowadays so I had to bump it up for that alone.
🌟Brief Summary: This was a sweet read for sure. A bit too long… but a feel good smutty omegaverse.
Esme has lived in the shadow of her famous twin sister her whole life. She has never been able to just be herself. No one has ever liked or wanted her just for her. They want her sister and use her to either get close to her sister or get a close imitation of her sister. Cause if this she can’t find a pack that wants just her. and she has a shit load of insecurities.
One night at a party she get a scent match with a hot Alpha. The chemistry and attraction is immediate on both sides but she runs. Afraid he wont want her. He takes his shirt w her scent on it back to his pack and they all have the same reaction. She is their omega and they want to court her but why is she so skittish? They hunt her down and take in the task of showing her she is all they want and see.
‼️The boys are super swoon. I loved them and how understanding, protective and supportive they were of her.
Things I Did 💔 Not Like
-I don’t know… Luke had explored rope and bondage before… not often 🙄… but enough and I don’t like that. As well as Kade having done some chasing to. Like serious kinks I dont like when they do that w woman other then the h. It requires lots of trust so it’s a no go for me.
-The paparazzi following her to this degree is a bit much esp when it’s her sister who is the celebrity. AND Why does her sister let this SHIT go on? I would think she could do more to protect her twin.
-The h insecurities started to get annoying after a while. At first I felt bad for her but after a while I wanted her to take control and trust instead of down spiraling into a mess. She needed to get over her shit way sooner and I just don’t connect with a h that is this big of an emotional mess.
-Dare I say to much sex?! Gah I was done by like 60% with the sex. A good book really only needs a few great connective sex scenes. This was a lot of kink. I didn’t feel the deep connection cause it was all like we want to explore our kinks and she was like yes. So either it was her heat and knotting or each guy needed to show her how they like their sex. Not very emotional or intimate.
All the guys were great! Tattoo artists and did piercing.

For her entire life Esme Williams has lived in her famous twin sister’s shadow, her every move scrutinized not only by her family but the media as well, and has always been found lacking. Now that her sister is mated to a pack of alphas, Esme would love nothing more than a pack of her own, but that seems impossible when every pack she meets wants Eva instead.
Things changes when she meets Ben, a famous tattoo artist, at one of her sister’s work parties. The pair instantly click, but Esme is afraid of being rejected. When she finally meets the rest of Ben’s pack—Kade, Luke, Avery, and Rylan, all tattoo artists as well, she hesitantly agrees to be courted by them.
Poor Esme constantly looks for reasons for them to change their minds or find fault with her like everyone else has, and it absolutely broke my heart watching her go through that. BUUUTTTT the boys are obsessed with her and as a unit help her grow into her own, and I loved watching her slowly blossom into a badass! Their relationship wasn’t without its struggles, but Esme got the HEA she deserved!
Cute omegaverse. I liked the storyline, but felt I needed more between our omega, and some of her alphas. Sex was frequent and definitely spicy. But that's not exactly a growing connection? I just needed more.
Sometimes I just want to read about a prickly heroine whose outer shell protects a soft and wounded centre, 5 guys who want nothing more than to court, spoil and protect her, and lots of kinky sex. For that, this really delivered.
⭐️ 5/5 🌶 3/5 Genre and Tropes: sweet omegaverse, Why Choose romance, All the Cinnamon Rolls
When I started reading Omegaverse I started with Lola and the Millionaires by Kathryn Moon. I had not read another omegaverse that gave me the same warm and fuzzy feelings since - until Knot Your Omega. I absolutely adore this book. It felt like the most cozy hug when reading this book.
When I was raving about this to some bookish friends I put it something like this:
"If you're a fan of omegaverse, cupcakes, hugs and snuggles, a pack full of cinnamon roll men, all the (good) feels and vibes, awesome spice and just all round a great take on a slow build of trust and love in relationships? Then this is absolutely for you."
I love Esme and all the guys. They're the sweetest most caring, adorable bunch of handsome men and I just want to have a pack like that (and dont get me started kn how their scents are described because im honestly sad my boyfriend doesnt taste smell like a vanilla cupcake or a chai latte). There is nothing I can fault in this book. Its been ages since I read a book that I enjoyed this thoroughly. This is a new comfort read, and I can see myself rereading this over and over again.
So, grab a cup of tea and get started on the best feel good book in ages, pronto. It will make you smile. Promise.
Not a bad book but not amazing either. Eventually, this book started to become more sex than story. I kept wanting something to happen to push the plot but it never really happens until the last 15 or 20% of the book. The middle of the book is little plot all porn. (I like a healthy mix.) The author has the characters go on dates to get to know one another and it really starts to follow a very basic and boring formula. It didn't hold my interest much there because it was boring and predictable. The sex scenes were hot. I just wanted more story to go with it.
This was extremely smutty. But also very sweet. Esme’s growth was beautiful to see and so emotional. Also!!!!! Why choose one when you can have all 5. This girl gets it all.
That's a joke about the plot, don't pick this up expecting this book to be vanilla, this book is really spicy. And it was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a nice omegaverse romance and this one delivered!
Esme has always had to play catch-up with her twin sister, an internationally famous actress and sweetheart, an icon that everyone wants, except when her sister finds her own pack every alpha turns to Esme to be the chance they never got with her sister. Always feeling alone and misunderstood, Esme finds it hard to keep putting herself out there, even when she wants desperately to find a pack of her own. Of course, when her sister convinces her to go to a celebrity-filled party, she never expects to smell the most delicious vanilla cupcake she's ever known. And she most definitely never expected that vanilla cupcake to be a delicious-looking alpha tattooing someone in the middle of the party.
This was so entertaining, even if I felt like there were one too many MMCs. I feel like I kept confusing the men -not Bennet, or Rylan- but Kade, Avery and Luke... Idk. I love reverse harems. Love them. I also love that they all bring something new to the table, but they're introduced so quickly, and then most of them are just a blur. I also really liked that they had a beta in their pack -Rylan. It felt fresh since I don't think it's common in Omegaverse romances to have four alphas and a beta with alpha energy, at least not that I've read before. I loved Rylan and I don't think his character was explored nearly enough! I wanted to explore what their omega/beta vibe would be like.
🌶🌶🌶🌶 / 5 - This is a very explicit omegaverse romance, it has all the things you'd expect from one of these, plus a couple of chapters with some pretty extreme primal.
This was so unexpectedly fun! Fast paced kick your feet all around spicy fun! Super easy to fall into, well paced, instantly fun. Yes, they are wolf books but they never actually shift. Lots of wolf characteristics. These wolf boys are tattooed hotties with total cinnamon roll hearts. Forced proximity, scent attraction, 5 chili peppers, mental health representation, multiple partners, reverse harem. Definitely reading the next book! Devyn Sinclair has a new fan!
If you're looking for a fun spicy OV that's easily bingeable, look no further. If you're looking for plot outside of character relationships, look elsewhere.
