OOOOOH what a tangled web the romance is between Red, Fin, and Sparky. Red and Fin have clashed for years and one night they gave in to the chemistry and Fin asked Red to be his mate - she nearly brained him! Now Sparky has been with the crew for a few months and he flirts with everyone! But is there more to the human than meets the eye or is he really just mentally fractured in the way he portrays himself to be?

Fin was exiled from his planet which he didn't think as much of a hardship. His parents were severely lacking and the only people he truly missed were his brothers. With their surprise arrival declaring their father dead, Fin has been told he is no longer banished and is now the heir in waiting - well once he's fended off the usurpers for the throne.

Not everyone can land on his watery world, only his mate and before they know it this red-hot triad are off to crown Fin!

Sparky is his usual weird self! He knows he has a screw of two loose and he owns his mental health. He sees nothing wrong in loving more than one person or more than one sex. But he is still all warrior, which those who overlook him will learn to their peril! It was great learning more about Fin's world and the weird hierarchy and rules that they have. Red may have been out of her element but take the girl out of the engine room and she can wear a mean slinky dress!

These three just love who the love - no rules, no right or wrongs. Absolutely loved it! I do hope we get to see more of Fin's brothers.

Alien Mercenary’s Consorts is the fifth book in the Lathar Mercenaries: Warborne series. Red and Fin have been circling around each other for years, but Red refuses to give him more than she’s already given. When Fin’s family demands he return to him homeland to take the throne, Sparky and Red both step up to be his consorts. But will they all survive the claiming of the throne to face a future together, or will politics and enemies strike them down?

I’m not going to lie, I wanted this book to be longer. I wanted more tension, more danger, more of their explosive relationship! But gosh, this book was seriously so good! I adored the crazy, intense relationship that develops between Fin, Red, and Sparky, and I loved all of their ups and downs and circling around each other. All three of them were so brave and almost reckless when it came to saving each other and living dangerously, but when it came to matters of the heart, they all seemed to play their cards pretty close. Red has always felt a sense of being unworthy, Fin needing to be accepted, and Sparky being just crazy enough that one can never tell if he’s being serious or not. Their dynamics were so interesting, their passion (and tension) just about lit up my reader, and I loved that their connection just would not be denied. I really enjoyed this book! I have been loving this series and I am so excited for the next one!

usually I LOVE all things written by Mina Carter but this really fell flat for me. I'm no stranger to M/M/F romance (I enjoy it quite a bit) but I was not a fan of Fin-Sparky-Red's dynamic. Too many times while reading I thought to myself, "it seems like [insert either Red or Sparky] is left out." They were not an ideal triad to me.
90% of the book, I felt that it should have just been a M/M romance. I didn't feel like the trio actually all loved each other. It also seemed like Sparky just wanted Fin, and Red was a consolation prize. The way both men thought about one another in their internal monologues was far more romantic and passionate than when they would think about Red. They only seemed possessive of each other, not of her.
For me, MMF/MFM only works if they are all equally obsessed with one another.
Not much character development and the whole story just felt rushed. A lot of random details didn't makes sense to the story being told and it was overall a lot of details to take in. The spicy scenes would abruptly cut off as well, which was disappointing. I have been looking forward to reading their story since it became apparent in prior books of the Warborne series that there was some sexual tension between the three of them.

Exiled from his home world, Fin has made a life with the Warborne. He'd like to make a life with Red but she is resisting him for reasons he doesn't understand. Red is a complicated woman who surprisingly has many insecurities. To complicate things there is Sparky, to whom they are both attracted. When Fin is called back home, Red and Sparky have his back. This allows them to get closer to one another.

All three of them are tough and not someone you want to mess with. Red has faced a lot of prejudice in her life because of her hybrid heritage and she doesn't feel that she is good enough for him. Sparky seems like he might be all kinds of crazy.

My only complaints are that I would like to know why Fin's mom did what she did and what her issue is with him. I would have liked to have seen Sparky and Red in action. They were more like eye candy in the situation when they could have been so much more.

This book disappointed me. Fin and Red hooked up once, years ago. Supposedly he's been trying to get her back ever since. He didn't try very hard, in my opinion.

Jayce (Sparky) has been flirting with both Red and Fin since he joined the crew. But he flirts with everyone so they didn't know he meant it.

The threesome scenes were vague, which is surprising because usually this author's steamy scenes are very detailed. The two men kiss a few times and don't actually have sex until the final pages of the book. The two men do have sex with the heroine in one scenes, one guy goes first and then the other guy with the heroine.

I didn't feel the romance.

Red overhears a comment and then stomps away to leave the planet even though she married Fin to be his backup. She just abandons Fin. Jayce has to go find her and say Fin is losing the fight and needs them both there for moral support. Red is a big baby.

I recommend the earlier Lathar Mercenaries books but not this book.

Good book

I was a bit hesitant about reading this book as I’m not a fan of male male main characters. This turned out to be much better than I thought. Red is the female in this trio and the dynamics between the 3 of them was pretty interesting. It’s just more love to go around with 3 people. They all have their insecurities and strong attraction to each other. Their love for each other is showcased in this book. The s*x was interesting and the author did a very good job of it. I was totally fine with the parts with the 2 guys, Fin and Sparky. It was mainly kissing anyway with only 1 scene of the actual act and it was done very tastefully.
The plot was interesting and we get to know Fin’s story better and get to see where he grew up, which was in the ocean. I liked the role the bad guys played in this storyline and the issues that came up.
This was a good book and has made me think twice about my hesitation to read books that have 2 male heroes.

Fin didn’t want anything to do with his title. He was a Warborne and that was it. When he is summoned to return home to take his place, he knows this could go wrong. His flirting with Red and Sparky’s flirting with both of them it a great mix. In order for anyone to attend his “conclave” you must be able to go underwater. Sparky and Red step up but to do that, they have to be altered. They will now be his consorts or married. We learn a lot about Sparky. He isn’t as crazy as he makes himself out to be. He has an interest in not only Red but Fin. He has no problem showing it either. Red and Fin have a past. Now they are all going to find out what is going on within Fin’s world. I love T’Raal. He is tough and boy does he put Fin in his place. There is a sweet part in the story as well with Red and T. There was a marriage of sorts with Fin, Red, and Sparky. We also learned their names. A lot is emotions are opened up and we learn about Fin’s brother’s Ty and Mayce. I look forward to reading about them later.

Fin hasn't thought of his home planet since he was banished. But with the death of his father he has no choice but to return. Only he won't be returning alone. The question is can he keep his loves safe?
Alien Mercenary's Consorts is the latest in Mina Carter's Lathar Mercenaries:Warborne series. I enjoyed getting to know Fin, Red and Sparky better. They have been fighting their attraction but in order to survive challenges to the death the must trust themselves and each other. I love that Ms. Carter allowed us to see the passion, respect and trust they found in each other. I loved seeing them push past their fears so they can find a way to have a future.
I enjoyed this addition to the series and look forward to where Ms. Carter will take us next.

Another Warborne book that hit the bull's eye dead-on.
This is a great addition to the Warborne series. Here we have Fin, Red, and the inimitable Sparky ; each with their own secrets and insecurities BUT coming together as a triad in the fight to save Fin's kingdom on the underwater world of Navarr that exiled Fin aka/Prince Axaal Kyrie a lifetime ago. This story is full of Sparky's snide and humorous remarks, intense erotica, political backstabbing, plot twists and turns, condescending women, and another vicious prince of Navarr. This is the first triad written in this series and the emotions of all three are profoundly passionate. Ms. Carter's classic writing style is evident and enjoyable. This is my voluntary review for the complementary book I received.

Let us dance

Oh my WOW! This book was absolutely fantastic! These three have danced around each other for so long that I was worried the story wouldn’t live up to the hype, but I should have had more faith in the author. I fell even more in love with these characters, which seems impossible, by watching them help each other overcome their insecurities and the new darkness that has come for the team. This one is a blast from the past that no one saw coming. The author brought her usual intensity to the story with the emotional upheaval and the danger of a good fight or two. This book was so good that I already want to read it again. Although, I can’t wait to see what the little taste of the future becomes in the next story.

The sparks have been subdued but evident throughout the series and now it's time to burst into flame. The storyline was intriguing and different and added some pomp and circumstance due to Fin's heritage. The dark side of his family life was so sad, as was Red and Sparky's. You truly are a product of your upbringing but fortunately you can make the conscious decision to take a different path. These three have done just that and that choice led them to one another.

The menage dynamic was explored but not as varied as I'd hoped. The world building was as usual impeccable. I enjoyed the political machinations and personal crises that drove the story to it's satisfying conclusion. All in all, a welcome addition to the Warborne series.

Finn, Sparky, and Red - It took me a bit to get into this story, but once it hit, it was another fantastic read from the mind of Mina Carter! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....or I didn't have to leave a review but choose to anyway. This was not one of my favorite books by this author, but that's not to say it is less than enjoyable. In this book, I loved the witty dialogue and the emotional connection between all 3 main characters. I felt like the setup took the long way around this time, but I get that there was a lot going on. Lots of hot, sexy times, with a mix of the three, so don't hate the love, just enjoy the ride, lol. The action is exciting and once the story kicks in good you'll be in it till the end!

Alien Mercenary's Consorts

Loved Fin, Jayce's and Red's story. They're a perfect threesome. I thought the author handled it extremely well. They are a true menage a trois. Spelling-sorry. The all have so many of the same emotional issues that they fill each others needs so perfectly. Story has lots of action but much more political intrigue. Fin is a Prince of Navarro, his home planet, and needs to return home to claim his right to the throne. He must marry to have his consorts protected. That is the key that gets our threesome together. Great story. Loved the interactions between our throuple. Can't wait to see how it will play out in future books. Surprise at the end with Fin's brother. Can't wait to get into the next book. I love Mina Carter's books!

Another great Warborne book. This series keeps getting better with each book. I loved this one and the surprises in it. There is more to Fin then we know. He is royalty...he is actually the heir to the throne. But that is not all. He needs Red and Sparky, well he wants them both in more ways then one. This may just be what is needed to finally get Red to admit she is his. Now he just needs to keep them safe. Well with Red, it is her everyone else needs to be protected from. HA, she is one kick tail female. Sparky is all flirt, but that changes with one kiss. Now can they find their HEA or will it be taken from them.

Solid five stars, Mina Carter delivers a delicious Warborne adventure. Red, Fin and Sparky navigate the political pitfalls of royal life. Fin is called back home to take the throne as a Navarr king. Each of these Warborne crew have been tiptoeing around their attraction for one another for quite awhile, Carter has finally given them their book. What an adventure! I like how Carter can weave a story within a story…this is a different of the typical Warborne read. I like that the book showcases each of these characters with depth that I was hoping for. They are well developed and oh so yummy! Great story ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved the three of them together. I love that Fin has been biding his time with Red. He shows his interest and she knows it but he won't push her too far. It also makes sense because it seems that they really needed their third in Sparky for things to truly come together. I loved watching these three interact and start coming together in this book. We get to see this while we watch them learn about the Navaar and see how that world operates and how dangerous and backstabbing it is. I loved this book and have truly loved and enjoyed this series and can't wait for more!! There is so much in this one to pull you in and keep you engaged into the next book!

You could see the tension building around Red with Sparky & Fin. While Sparky was always a flirt, it was a surprise to see his true interest in Fin & Red. It was fun to watch the last of the Warborne get mated. This book was entertaining, but I think a bit rushed. Many gaps in the world building and over the top reactions to Fin's being exiled for abuse and not a lot of explaining as to why such an extreme sentence and why his mother so wanted him out of the picture. Her need for control doesn't really ring true when his younger brothers, also heirs were left untouched for all the years between Fin's exile and return. It looks like we will be seeing more the Warborne and I look forward to it.
I received an ARC from this author but am freely leaving this review.

I loved this one about Fin, Red and Sparky it was action-packed, exciting, and had lots of intrigues, deception as well as some backstabbing royalty for them to deal with. I was hooked and invested in their story, the author's writing style is such that you feel like a fly on the wall like you were watching from the sidelines able to root for them. With lots of action. and adventure as well as palpable chemistry, passion and angst, I found it hard to put my Kindle down. I just wish it had been longer!

A sizzling adventure brings Red, Sparky and Fin together. I have been waiting patiently for Red’s story and it was so worth the wait. Loved how their story evolved with secret kisses to so much more. The secrets out and the crew is behind Fin as he takes the step to go back to where he didn’t expect to be. With all the drama and action, Red’s chemistry with Sparky and Fin heats up as they navigate their relationship to a delicious level, but will Red’s temper ruin what could be their HEA as the danger close in on them. One click this newest release to that doesn’t disappoint to find out.

Fin was exiled from his kingdom and left for dead.
Fin started over as a mercenary.
Fin was made anew among the Warborne.
The past comes back with the death of Fin's father.
Fin must return home to claim his birthright.
This forces Fin, Red, and Sparky to confront the mutual feelings for each other when Red and Sparky accompany Fin as his consorts.
Fin and Red have been dancing around each other for years, but now it's time to lay everything out in the open.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary review.

The sparks that fly between these three is scorching! I've been waiting to see what happens with them throughout the series. When Mina added Sparky to the mix it only got more intriguing.

Fin was exiled from his home world, Red is a Latharian/Kyrannis mix, and Sparky a crazy human. What could possibly go wrong. Monarchy backstabbing and intrigue added to the mix only made this better. I would've loved to see Red kick some butt. However, I really enjoyed seeing them come together and let their walls down.

Can't Read Enough Lathar Mercenaries Stories

Reread the Lathar Mercenaries 1-4 to get ready to read the Alien Mercenary Consorts. I'm glad I did. I still love those stories! This new Lathar Mercenaries book is a wonderful addition to the series. I feel like I learned so much more about Sparky, Red and Fin. Before reading this story they were Warborne, but a mystery emotionally. Not so much anymore. Mina gave them with depth and soul. I could not put this book down. I hope you love this story as much as I do! Enjoy!

This book was my second from the Lathar series that Mina Carter offers, and I think it is my favorite so far. I really liked the dynamic between the leading character and the consorts. I try not to get into spoilers but I will just say that the world building is top tier despite it being a shorter length book. I really enjoyed the descriptive abilities of the author in both the surroundings and the spicy scenes. I would definitely recommend this and I will actively seek out other books from the Lathar series.

We’ve seen this building in previous books and the coming together of Fin and Red and Sparky does not disappoint. The alien “world” especially the vivid depiction of Navarr takes you away and envelopes you in the underwater environment along with some twisty politics. The romance is sweet, sensual, and surprising in the best ways. We also learn that besides being a scary mercenary Fin is pretty smart. Great read.

I actually hadn’t read the previous books of the series but had no problem jumping right into this one. Definitely want to go back and read the others now. I do love that most of the main characters are not human. The three main characters are each very different but at the same time they are part of the Warborne. A mercenary group that is well known and respected. The tension builds and definitely heats up. Has danger and a unique romance. This is a romance triad of two males and one female.

These Warborne are full of surprises! I certainly did not expect that after so much hostility throughout the stories these three would end up together and with such a different setting. Very true the saying ' things are often not what they seem. Lots of emotions, action, suspense, romance, and passion that kept me following the story with great interest. And the brothers also seem to have their thing. I love these interesting, intriguing, and exciting aliens.

OK

Short read. OK story, although it was a little silly to write in potentially deadly DNA manipulations then only use them once to take a shortcut across the complex to get to a bed slightly faster. Decent characters but they could have done more. There wasn’t much battle, Sparky didn’t really show his crazy side, and Red could have let the Krynassis half out to play a little. Few typos, medium spice, RH, M/M/F alien romance, swords do cross.

Royal Pride for Pride Month

Another awesome story by Mina Carter. A menage formed by characters from different galaxies and different cultures, not to mention different sexes. A story to lead one further into understanding the backgrounds of motivations of the Warbourne. For those of us who are deeply engaged with the Lather Alien Series, I highly recommend this episode of the Warbourne Mercenaries and gave it 5 stars.

hot stuff

Book not for faint hearted or trio nix people.
Rarely is there a realistic trio written by a woman. It is doubtful that a two male, one female is only about her pleasure and not about male/male. Read a reliable fact based study years ago that said 30 %adults are bisexual and it is religious and socially norms that shape their acceptable lifestyle.
Glad the author showed other representation.
