Blue Lock, Vol. 4

ブルーロック [Blue Lock] #4

by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, Yusuke Nomura (Illustrator)

WOULD YOU PLAY IF YOU'RE THE WEAKEST?

It's the final round of the first selection and Team Z needs to win against Team V--the undefeated team of Wing 5--to survive! A triple threat awaits Isagi, including prodigy Seishiro Nagi, who only started playing soccer six months ago. Moreover, Team Z is still one man down after Kuon's brutal betrayal in the previous game. The odds are stacked against them as they enter the pitch, and Isagi and his teammates are becoming painfully aware of how weak they really are. In this end, is it all pointless? Or will desperation triumph over talent?

I liked this novel! It was very action packed and there was a lot of character development. My only complaint is that they're sexualizing Anri, who is pretty much the only woman in the manga. Aside from that, I look forward to the next volume!

I FUCKING LOVE KUNIGAMI LOOK AT HOW FUCKING SEXY HE LOOKS ON THE COVER I'M FERAL oh my god this volume was so explosive, and intense, and the action and the art (no i'll never stop glazing the art. JUST LOOK AT IT)! we meet reo, nagi, zantetsu (it's okay to be dumb, my friend), and the match between teams Z and V is just so...delicious. fuck yeah.

(side note, reo at the beginning in the flashbacks pissed me off. yes, you're rich, yes, you're spoiled. but you have loving parents what do you MEAN you "resisted the urge to KILL"?! sweetie.)

okay but reo and nagi!?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!?!!? oh my god. i was not expecting that dynamic between them but it was intriguing as hell. nagi is such a mood. him asking reo when he could finally slack off after scoring goals 🤣🤣 plsssss i need to see more of them.

also, bachira and isagi's friendship have my heart. 😭

another day, another 5 star for blue lock. onto to the next!!!

"The one who can prove the formula they've created for themselves...will be able to mass-produce victories at an explosive rate...as the world's best striker."

(1) As someone who has zero interest in football, I think this series is doing damn great by successfully holding my interest!

(2) What's your deal Bachira!? You look so happy!:

(3) The team is facing another tough battle, how will they manage to fight against another with a genius player among the rank?

Off I go to the next volume!

Reo and Nagi are such a great addition to the Blue Lock competition. They pair so well together; Nagi’s nonchalance (or boredom) towards soccer makes him a really amusing counterpart to Reo, who’s a little bit insane about the sport. Can’t wait for more of them!

I'm currently on volume 8 of this insanity but I'm adding these reviews bit by bit so I don't end up spamming everyone. This was a bit of a filler volume but still very enjoyable! I am noticing that we are now starting to end these volumes with a cliffhanger and my heart cannot take that. Bachira is insane... love him. Nagi is also an interesting character and I had a feeling he would continue to appear in the next volumes because the potential was there.

Most of the Volume is the preparation and the match itself between Teams Z and V.

Very frenetic ..

I love to see how my boys improve with each chapter and volume💕. I am really fascinated with this manga. Chigiri: I love you✨🥺.

Bachira is a whole king. His mindset is gold. When the going gets tough, Bachira gets fired up!

Another great volume. The team feels like they'll lose going the way they're going. However thanks to one of them pushing their limits things heat up as each member pushes themselves beyond their limits. This is a very close and entertaining game now.

bachira is legendary

GOD i love bachira. everything about him is literally perfect, yadda yadda kuon sucks nagi is cool reo is whatever yadda yadda, all i care about is BACHIRA and his fucking awesomeness. every page he's on makes my day a million times better, and im already on cloud nine just knowing he exists (if fictionally)

kunigami is also cool as hell, and i loved his surprise goal, but everytime i look at him i see bakugou and get a little freaked out.

also, all the trash talk in ch 31 was glorious

Idk why I’m always surprised when they win

[ami]

nothing to say except that bachira.. you’re tew goated..

[Victor The Reader]

With Team Z in danger of being booted from Blue Lock, Isagi finds some helpful advice from a very unfriendly player while we learn about two members’ backstories. As Team Z and V face off in the final match of the first selection, it’s an edgy and fierce one that’s full of hot moves and angry faces. A- (91%/Excellent)

That's my golden boy there, Bachira! My most special boy! They're all dancing and surpassing their own rhythms, I can't wait when it's time to get together after this strata!

Reo really out here not even batting an eyelash the moment he saw Nagi. I'm not even going to say anything! But it's funny how Reo is sticking his tongue out here, can't wait for his chameleon to show up!
